        In this study, performance experiments were performed on the shape of steel dampers that affect the rocking behavior. Three types of strut shapes of SI type, SV type and SS type were considered as experimental variables. As a result of the experiment, the capacity to resist the moment and drift ratio according to the strut shape of the steel damper was evaluated as very close. Finally, it was evaluated that the SV type steel damper has stable deformation and energy dissipation capability. As a result of the evaluation of the proposed damper transmission force, it is considered that the damper transmission force is evaluated larger than the applied horizontal force, and it is necessary to supplement it.

        The performance enhancement of various damping systems from natural hazards has become an highly important issue in engineering field. In this paper, ENTA hysteretic dampers were tested under cyclic loadings to evaluate their performance in terms of ductility and energy dissipation. The test results showed that the hysteretic dampers are effective damping systems to enhance the buildings performance for remodeling and retrofit of buildings. Also, the hysteretic dampers were modeled in FEM(Finite Element Method) structural analysis program. As comparing the computer modeling and the experiment, this study model reflects the nonlinear behavior of steel and derives the hysteresis loop.

        최근 국내의 지진발생 빈도가 증가함에 따라, 지진피해 저감 시스템 중 가장 효율이 높은 제진방식의 문제점을 해결하며 댐퍼의 복원성과 에너지 소산 능력을 증가시켜 잔류변형 감소와 사용성 증대 효과를 발생시키는 새로운 제진설계 방식이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 학교 등 기존에 시공된 비내진상세 철근콘크리트 구조물의 지진에 의한 뒤틀림 방지, 횡방향 변위제어 및 진동저감을 위하여 구조물의 양 옆에 원형강봉댐퍼를 설치하는 시스템을 제안하고, 2층 철근콘크리트골조 실험체를 반복횡 하중 가력 하여 내진성능을 평가하였다. 무보강 및 보강 실험체들의 실험결과를 비교한 결과 외부보강용 원형강봉댐퍼 시스템이 2층 철근콘크리트 골조의 강성과 에너지소산면적을 증가시켜 내진성능을 증가시킴을 확인하였다. 또한 원형강봉댐퍼가 지진 에너지를 소산하여 지진력을 흡수함을 확인하였다.

        In this study, SMG(Smart Material with Grease) was developed, which was improved the precipitation minute particle in grease during long term standstill. Also, small-sized cylinder damper equipped with an electromagnet in a piston was developed for using a performance evaluation of the damper with SMG and the dynamic load test, and damping force using Power model and Bingham model was derived in order to compare to the result of that of the damper. The data obtained from the dynamic load test were analyzed and plotted, and then a dynamic range was calculated to evaluate the usability of the damper with SMG. The performance of the damper with SMG was compared to the damping forse derived from the Power and Bingham model. The result of this evaluation shown that the usability of SMG damper was demonstrated by this test as a semi-active controlling equipment of small-sized damper.

        This study proposes a technique to dissipate the energy of a rocking wall installed on a frame by using a metallic damper. The rocking behavior is to turn left and right about the wall vertical axis. The development system is a method of dissipating energy by installing a damper which is the like on a large displacement portion. Experimental results showed that in case of shorter strut make strength capacity increasement and in case of longer strut make deformation capacity increasement. The higher the strut height, the better the energy dissipation capacity. The proposed equation for estimating the steel damper strength applied to this study is a straight type strut damper. However, it is not suitable for calculation of the strength of clamped type strut damper where both flexural behavior and shear behavior are mixed.

        This research focuses on developing the Smart material with Grease adopted as a base oil to overcome a particle deposition caused by the MR fluid consisting of a silicon, which maximizing the characteristics and advantage of the MR fluid. By adopting the SMG fluid to a shear damper, this paper aimed to evaluate the control performance of it according to the variation of intensity of electric current(0 A, 0.5 A, 1.0 A, 1.5 A, 2.0 A, 2.5 A) and frequency(0.5 Hz, 1 Hz, 2 Hz). Subsequently, the usability of the SMG damper was analyzed by comparing the dynamic model of it to that of the other types of dampers(Power(Involution) Model, Bingham Model). As a result, DR, the performance indicator of semi-active damper, shows approximately 5 in a condition of 2 Hz. Also while confirming the excellent performance like the Power and the Bingham model, it raises the possibility to exploit it as the semi-active damper.

        Recently, the concept of an outrigger damper system with a damper added to the existing outrigger system has been developed and applied for dynamic response control of high-rise buildings. However, the study on the structural characteristics and design method of Outrigger damper system is in the early stages. In this study, a 50 story high - rise building was designed and an outrigger damper system with viscoelastic damper was applied for wind response control. The time history analysis was performed by using the kaimal spectrum to create an artificial wind load for a total of 1,000 seconds at 0.1 second intervals. Analysis of the top horizontal maximum displacement response and acceleration response shows that outrigger damper systems are up to 28.33% and 49.26% more effective than conventional outrigger systems, respectively. Also, it is confirmed that the increase of damping ratio of dampers is effective for dynamic response control. However, since increasing the damping capacity increases the economic burden, it is necessary to select the appropriate stiffness and damping value of the outrigger damper system.

        This study investigates the seismic performance of a hybrid seismic energy dissipation device composed of a viscoelastic damper and a steel slit damper connected in parallel. A moment-framed structure is designed without seismic load and is retrofitted with the hybrid dampers. The model structure is transformed into an equivalent simplified system to find out optimum story-wise damper distribution pattern using genetic algorithm. The effectiveness of the hybrid damper is investigated by fragility analysis of the structure with and without the dampers. The analysis results show that after seismic retrofit the probability of reaching damage states, especially the complete damage state, of the structure turn out to be significantly reduced.

        경량한 세장 구조물의 내풍안정성을 향상시키기 위하여 다양한 제진장치가 사용되어 왔다. 제진장치에 의하여 구조물에 부가되는 감쇠는 기존의 질량, 강성에 비례하는 고전감쇠와 달리 비고전 특성을 가진다. 비고전 감쇠는 복소의 모달 특성을 보유하기 때문에 해석과 평가과정에서 모드의 거동을 파악하기 어렵다. 이러한 이유 때문에 복소 모달 변수를 실수로 변경하기 위한 방법이 요구 되며, 변경된 실수 모달 특성이 가지는 물리적 의미를 고찰할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 상태공간에서 비고전 감쇠시스템의 복소 모달 변수를 실수 모달 변수로 변경하는 과정을 소개하고 그 모달변수가 가지는 특성을 분석함으로써 비고전 감쇠를 가지는 구조물의 해석 및 평가가 보다 명쾌한 물리적 의미를 가지고 이루어질 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 비고전 감쇠구조물의 계측응답만으로 실수의 모달 특성을 추정할 수 있는 상태공간 기반 모드분해 기법에 대해서 다루고 그 특성을 비교 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 기법을 카고메 트러스 댐퍼가 설치된 비고전 감쇠 구조물에 적용하여 수치적으로 검증하였으며, 수치해석 결과로부터 복소 모드형상이 실수공간으로의 변환이 가능하며, 그 실수 모드형상이 계측응답만으로도 추정 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

        The outrigger damper system is a structural system with excellent lateral resistance when a wind load occurs. However, research on outrigger dampers is still in its infancy. In this study, dynamic response control performance of damper is analyzed according to change of stiffness value and damping value of damper. To do this, a real-scale 3D model of 50 stories has been developed and the artificial wind load has been entered for dynamic analysis. Generally, the larger the damping value, the smaller the stiffness value is, the more effective it is to reduce the maximum displacement and acceleration response. However, the larger the attenuation value as the cost of construction increases, it is necessary to select appropriate stiffness and damping value when applying an outrigger damper.

        This study investigates a new type of recentering damper system combining a shape memory alloy bar with initial tension force is proposed to improve the recentering of frictional damper dissipating energy. The recentering damper is a damper device with improved energy dissipation capability as well as a reduction in maintenance and reinforcement cost, and can be said to be a low-cost, high-efficiency damper device conforming to domestic reality. For the implementation of the theoretical mechanism for the recentering damper device, various parameters were selected and the theoretical and detailed design were carried out. In order to verify the design validity of the recentering damper, a high dimensional finite element analysis model was fabricated and analyzed using cyclic load. As a result of comparing and analyzing the behavior response of the recentering damper, it proved its superiority in terms of energy dissipation ability and stability. Based on these results, we propose an optimized system design method of recentering damper.

        The purpose of this study is to determine the stiffness of rubber of dynamic damper. This damper system reduces the steering wheel vibration caused by idling oscillation of the engine. Therefore, in order to measure the stiffness of the silicone rubber in the dynamic damper system, the material test of the silicone rubber was carried out. Using the measured stiffness, the FEM model of the dynamic damper system was constructed and the correlation by the experimental data was shown at an error of less than 2%. In addition, the dynamic damper system was simplified to a two-degree-of-freedom spring-mass model and the effect of the stiffness change of the rubber on the natural frequency of the column shaft was analyzed theoretically. As a result, the amplitude of the column shaft was reduced as the stiffness of the silicone rubber was lowered.

        As an alternative to coupling beam in shear wall system, application of the damper which can dissipate energy is increasing. In this study, lintel beam type steel damper which is simple to construct and change depending on design load was proposed. Cyclic loading test was conducted to compare reinforced concrete coupling beam and lintel beam type steel damper. The test results showed that lintel beam type steel damper has higher initial stiffness and energy dissipation capacity than reinforced concrete coupling beam.

        In this paper, an experimental study was carried out for vibration control of cable bridges with structurally flexible characteristics. For the experiment on vibration control, a model bridge was constructed by reducing the Seohae Grand Bridge and the shear type MR damper was designed using the wind load response measured at Seohae Grand Bridge. The shear type MR damper was installed in the vertical direction at the middle span of the model bridge, and dynamic modeling was performed using the power model. The tests of the vibration control were carried out by non-control, passive on/off control and Lyapunov control method on model bridge with scaled wind load response. The performance of the vibration control was evaluated by calculating absolute maximum displacement, RMS displacement, absolute maximum acceleration, RMS acceleration, and size of applied power using the response (displacement, acceleration, etc.) from the model bridge. As a result, the power model was effective in simulating the nonlinear behavior of the MR damper, and the Lyapunov control method using the MR damper was able to control the vibration of the structure and reduce the size of the power supply.

        The demand for skyscrapers is increasing worldwide. Until now, various lateral resistance structures have been used for lateral displacement control of high-rise buildings. An outrigger damper system has been introduced recently to improve lateral dynamic response control performance further. However, a study of outrigger damper system is yet to be sufficiently investigated. In this study, time history analysis was performed to investigate the control performance of an outrigger damper system of high-rise building under eccentric loading. To do this, an actual scale 3-dimensional tall building model with an outrigger damper system was prepared. The control performance of the outrigger damper system was evaluated by varying stiffness and damping values. On the top floor torsional angle response to the earthquake load, was greatly affected by damping value. And the displacement response was affected greatly by the stiffness value and damping value of damper system. In conclusion, it is necessary to select the proper damping and stiffness values of the outrigger damper system.

        This study began the studies to develop a general-purpose expression furniture flap damper module set to prevent that noise and caught in through as a result, to obtain the following results using the same study procedure. First, to develop a damper bracket and hardware. Second, we want to create the design drawings for the furniture flap type damper module three. Third, we want to create a mock-up sample and mold in progress. Fourth, the tester will be designed and manufactured to produce a universal formula Furniture flap dampers module. Fifth, to conduct a test for the successful production of furniture damper module set. Study the sixth oil impregnation technology and to develop a general-purpose expression furniture damper flap. Finally, the set of all of the modules are to the development of molds followed successfully.
