        이 연구는 고등학교 지구과학 탐구활동에서 2가지 수업유형에 따라 나타나는 학생들의 반성적 탐구의 특징을 알아봄으로써 수업의 맥락에서 학생들의 반성적 탐구의 실제를 이해하고, 탐구활동 수업에서 반성적 탐구를 촉진하기 위한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 기존의 탐구활동수업과 본 연구에서 개발한 반성적 탐구활동수업에서 반성적 탐구의 차이를 조사한 결과 반성적 탐구를 촉진하기 위해 개발된 반성적 탐구활동수업은 자료맥락의 다양한 요소와 연결된 반성적 탐구진술이 많아, 반성적 탐구의 양적 및 다양성의 측면에서 학생들의 반성적 탐구에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 이러한 결과로부터 학생들의 반성적 탐구를 활성화시키는 탐구활동 수업개발의 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다.

        The purpose of this study is to compare questions types of Korean EFL textbooks of the seventh national curriculum (current textbooks) with those of the sixth national curriculum (previous textbooks). This study found that there were significant differences in question types of receptive skills, listening (monologues, dialogues), and reading (narrative, pragmatic) between current and previous textbooks in terms of the level of comprehension. There was no significant difference in question types of expository reading passages between current and previous textbooks. Although higher-order questions are also important to make language class more interactive and communicative, this study as well as previous ones shows that questions of literal comprehension were heavily used in current textbooks, especially in listening. Although current textbooks presented more questions of inference and personal response than previous textbooks, those questions were minimally used. Both reorganizatinal and evaluative questions were rarely used in current and previous textbooks. In short, because current textbooks still rely on lower-order memory questions, they do not require substantive thought from students. Thus, this study suggest that EFL textbooks use less literal comprehension questions and more communicative questions such as reorganization, inference, evaluative and personal response.

        This article focuses on English language assessment for young learners in Korea questioning how far the special needs of young language learners (YLL) are being catered by the current English language assessments. First of all, this paper identifies the distinctive characteristics of young learners and the related assessments and provides several examples in the European context to explore how European programs apply the distinctive conditions of YLL on the assessing practices at schools. Secondly, four tests of oral proficiency which are currently administered in Korea (SEPT-general vs. SEPT-Junior; ESPT-general vs. ESPT-Junior) are explored to compare how the assessments for YLL take account of the special characteristics of young learners. Test content is analyzed on item types, test criteria and level descriptors. Lastly, suggestions are made based on the analysis of the assessments. It is hoped that this research paper provides meaningful implications on the YLL test development in Korea.

        The objective of this study was to present regression equations between reservoir water quality and land use types of the watersheds. In order to derive regression equations, a multiple linear regression analysis was used using observed data from 88 reservoirs in the Kyungpook Provcince. The measured values of BOD, COD, T-N, and T-P were correlated with the areas of land use types. 23 regression equations were obtained for all the water quality items and watershed sizes. The results showed that 2 regression equations have the multiple correlation coefficient(MCC) above 0.90, 10 regression equations have the MCC values from 0.70 to 0.90, 9 equations have the MCC from 0.40 to 0.70, and 2 equations have the MCC from 0.20 to 0.40. The results of this study can be used to estimate reservoir water quality simply and quickly in the planning phase.

        The purpose of this study was to identify the differences of cognitive responses, emotional responses, customer satisfaction, and service loyalty about service encounter quality by types of restaurants and to analyse emotional responses, customer satisfaction, and service loyalty in accordance with level of service encounter quality. The questionnaire were collected from customers (N=812) who had used restaurants in Seoul, aiming at 15 or more-year-old customers from October 24, 2005 to November 6, 2005. The main results of this study were as follows: Statistically significant difference was showed in importance and performance of interaction quality, importance and performance of physical environment quality, performance of outcome quality depending on types of restaurants, while significant difference was not indicated in importance of outcome quality by types of restaurants. Positive emotional response was significantly high by types of restaurants in order of fine-dining restaurants, family restaurants, and fast-food restaurants, while negative emotional responses were significantly higher in fast-food restaurants than in the other two types. As far as Customer satisfaction are concerned, fine-dining restaurants showed higher customer satisfaction than the other two types. Attitudinal service loyalty was high in fine-dining restaurants, family restaurants and fast-food restaurants in order and behavioral loyalty was not significantly different with each type of restaurant. In accordance with level of service encounter quality, cluster analysis was conducted and the clusters were divided into 'high-valuation' and 'low-valuation'. 'High-valuation cluster' and 'low-valuation cluster' showed significant difference depending on types of restaurants that customers used(p<.001). The customers who used fine-dining restaurants and family restaurants valued the performance of service encounter highly. However, in fast-food restaurants, a lot of low-valuation customers existed. Therefore, fast-food restaurants have to improve performance of interaction quality, outcome quality and physical environment quality in service encounter. In addition, in 'high-valuation cluster' who valued service encounter quality highly showed higher scores in positive responses, customer satisfaction, service loyalty than in 'low-valuation cluster', and showed low negative responses.

        SMC(Soft Magnetic Composite) materials which we have newly developed were studied for their applying effects. It shows almost the same motor output power as the laminated Si-steels of 0.35mm in thickness, although core loss of SMC is about 1.5 times that of the laminations. As shown in the results, the SMC motor core is sufficient for real use as a motor core. Furthermore, a 3-D shaped motor core made of SMC can improve approximately 20% of the output compared with the same size motor made of laminations.

        This study examines the effects of learning conditions (implicit learning condition and explicit learning condition) and task types (comprehension and production task) on the learning of an easy rule (subject-verb inversion in the sentence with location adverbial) and a hard rule (pseudo-cleft clause). One hundred thirty first-year university EFL students with low proficiency were divided into four groups based on the combination of learning conditions and task types. After that, pre-and post-test data on the grammaticality judgement test and controlled written test were analyzed by using the two-way Multiple Analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA). Results showed that the effects of learning conditions are not statistically different on the comprehension of easy and hard grammatical rules whereas the explicit learning condition has more effects on producing easy and hard rules than the implicit learning condition does. They also revealed that the effects of task types are statistically different on the learning of an easy and a hard rule. In addition, production task has more effects on the learning of both an easy and a hard rule than the comprehension task. It could be suggested that the results of this study could be applied in designing more effective instructional condition for the EFL adult learners with low proficiency.

        This study was conducted on the premise that plan types of the public residential houses proposed after the 1945 implicatively showed the developing process of the modern housing. The formal characteristics created through the developing process were analyzed in Micro-Historically. Moreover, by providing a new viewpoint on the changes of the residential houses that occurred around 1945, we tried to provide the fundamental research background for the research on the developing processes of the future housing cultures. The research pursued mainly on the major spaces that became the modern change indices of housing plan changes from the traditional housings in 1940s to the modern housings such as the master bedrooms(An-Bang), kitchen, the main floored-space(Maru), and the secondary bedroom (Kune-Bang). The major experimental subjects are the 87 public residential plan types designed and supplied by the Korea Housing Cooperation in between 1945 and 1970. The study synthesized the developing process of the public residential houses from the traditional residential houses in 1940s through modern situation and intrusion of foreign housing cultures. Following results were derived from the study: First, various and experimental housing plan types had been proposed as public residential houses since 1945. Among them, the plan having the main floored-space(Maru) were the representative type of public residential houses and various series of houses were constructed based on this type. Second, the main floored-space(Maru) type had continued building connection order of the R-M-R that were used in the traditional houses. On the other hand, with decomposition of connecting ring between the main floored-space(Maru) and the kitchen, rationalization of women circulations and introduction of family-centered spaces had been resolved the demands of modern society. It had greate effect on settlement of the current double-row Maru plan type. Third, in Korea most of plan types for the public residential houses were proposed in between 1945 and 1965. Forth, the location of kitchen and relation between Maru and the master bedroom were arranged visually on the corner and center of the rear row with the micro change characteristics of the public residential houses. In this process, the front row was similar with traditional residential houses but the rear row was differentiated and developed with expansion of Maru and Ondol rooms, increase of closet spaces, and introduction of kitchen that divided spaces for sleeping and eating.

        The filling property of the binder treated iron based powder made of atomized iron powder was compared with that of the one made of reduced iron powder. The latter one showed a better filling property than the former one, although the original reduced powder showed a worse flow rate. Changing the particle size distribution of the original atomized powder from wide to narrow like the original reduced iron powder, improved the filling property of the binder treated powder. As a result, the particle size distribution of the original iron powder was found to strongly affect the filling property of the binder treated powder.

        본 연구에서는 중학교 과학 영재아들이 가지고 있는 조석에 관한 정신모형을 탐색하기 위하여 두 가지 상황에서의 개념 유형을 분류하고, 각 유형들을 구성하는 국면들을 분석하였다. 조석 현상에 관해 두 가지 상황으로 구성된 과제 수행을 실시한 후 그 응답 결과를 분석한 결과, 상당수의 학생들이 상황에 따라 서로 다른 개념 유형을 나타내었다. 상황에 따른 개념 유형들을 구성하고 있는 국면을 분석한 결과, 내용-특정적 국면에서는 큰 차이가 없었으나 전략적 국면에서는 많은 차이를 나타내었다. 두 가지 상황에서 나타나는 개념 유형들과 이들 유형을 구성하는 국면들을 조합하여 학생들의 조석에 관한 정신모형을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 4가지 모형으로 나눌 수 있었다: (1) Tide model (2) Force model (3) Phase model (4) Hybrid model. Tide model은 과학적으로 옳은 모형이며, Force model과 Phase model은 옳지 않은 모형으로, 상황에 따른 개념유형은 서로 일치하나 조석현상을 각각 달과 태양의 합력과 달의 위상(모양)의 관계로만 이해하고 있는 경우이다. Hybrid model 혼합 모형으로 상황에 따라 나타나는 개념 유형이 서로 부합되지 않는 모형이다. 중학교 과학 영재아들은 조석 현상에 대해 가장 많이 가지고 있는 모형은 Tide model(45.0%) 이었으며, 그 다음으로는 Hybrid model(30.0%), Force model(12.5%), Phase model(7.5%) 순으로 나타났다.

        El propósito de este estudio es analizar los 1,471 errores recopilados en las clases de conversación española de una universidad y señalar cómo el análisis del error desempeña un papel relevante en el proceso de la enseñanza/aprendizaje de español. Después del análisis a todos los errores, se clasificaron cuatro categorías según su origen: errores simples (morfológicos), errores por la interferencia, errores gramaticales y errores lógicos. A su vez, cada categoría incluyó subdivisiones, según el contenido gramatical, y por último se seleccionaron veintiún tipos de errores a los que se les dio un porcentaje. Algunos de los resultados obtenidos en este análisis son: primero, cerca del 63 ó 75% (según los niveles) de los errores derivan de confusiones gramaticales y apenas un 9 ó 12% se atribuyen a interferencias de la lengua materna y del inglés; segundo, en algunos casos o tipos, los estudiantes de nivel alto cometen más errores que los de nivel bajo y esto se puede explicar a partir de una estrategia de ‘evitación’, empleada por los últimos; tercero, con respecto a los estudiantes del nivel bajo, muchos de los errores no satisfacen el mínimo de los requisitos estructurales; así que para ellos, antes de la corrección del error, se debe ofrecer mucha atención a los modelos de la oración española.
