        The effect of Pb addition on microstructure and wear resistance was studied in rapidly solidified Al-20Si-5Fe-xPb(x=2, 4, 6 wt.%) alloys. The R/S Al-20Si-5Fe-xPb (x=2, 4, 6 wt.%) alloys showed a fine and homogeneous microstructure and an improved wear property compared with Al-20Si-5Fe alloy, while no significant change in UTS (Ultimate Tensile Strength) was shown. Contribution of the dispersoids on the wear property was discussed by showing the plastic deformation layers formed during wear track.

        Three mixtures of elemental powders of Al-25at.%Ti, 48at.%Ti and 70at.%Ti were offered to ball milling process for the formation of intermetallic compounds of , AlTi and . Ballmilling or attrition process were carried out at the condition of rotaing speed of 110 or 350 rpm at torr vacuum or argon atmospheres. phases were fully obtained by heat treatment for 1 hors at with Al-25at.%Ti composition mixtures milled by 100 hours. The amorphous phase was completely formed at the composition of Al-48at.%Ti mixed powders by milling 100hours at the 50 to 1 weight ratio of ball to powder, and AlTi compounds were obtained by heat treament. In the case of Al-70at%Ti mixed powders milled for 100 hours, and intermetallic compounds were formed by heat treatment for 1 hour at . By attrition milling of 350rpm for 10 hours, phase was formed completley after heat treatment for 1 hour at .

        We selected horse mackerel Trachurus japonicus, mackerel Scomber japonicus and arrow squid Todarodes pacificus, to use in the experiment. These fishes migrate to the Cheju coast and were caught by set-net. We studied the leading effect on the fish schools using the attracting lamps in an outdoor water tank at the Marine Research Institute in Cheju National University. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. The attracting rate of fish schools was increasing as the time between switching on and off each lamp was getting longer when each of the attracting lamps was switched on and off in order. However, the attracting rate of mackerel school showed a tendency to be higher than that of the other two species. 2. The attracting rate of fish schools was increasing as the time of switching off the lamps was getting longer when the attracting lamps which had been switched on were switched off in order. However, the attracting rate of mackerel school showed a tendency to be higher than that of the other two species. 3. The attracting rate of fish schools was decreasing as the speed of moving the attracting lamp was getting faster when the attracting lamp was moving. However, the attracting rate of mackerel school showed a tendency be higher than that of the other two species. 4. To determine the distance between the attracting lamps, there would be two methods. One is switching on and off the attracting lamps in order, and the other is switching off the attracting lamps in order which had been switched on. The methods showed that the attracting rate of fish schools were decreasing as the distance between the attracting lamps were getting longer. However, the attracting rate of mackerel school showed a tendency to be higher than that of the other two species.

        본(本) 시험(試驗)은 산지초지(山地草地)에서 관리(管理)를 포기(抛棄)한 후 초지(草地)의 식생(植生), 생태적(生態的) 반응(反應), 초지(草地)의 사료가(飼料價) 및 현존량(現存量)의 변화를 조사하여 산지초지(山地草地) 관리(管理)에 이용코자 1993년부터 1996년까지 경기도 여주 야산지(野山地)에 조성(造成)한 초지(草地)에서 수행(遂行)되었던 바, 그 결과(結果)를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 초지(草地)의 식생구성(植生構成)은 정지초지(整地草地)나 임간초지(林間草地) 모두 방치후(放置後) 야초(野草)와 관목류(灌木類)는 점차 증가하였으며, 목초(牧草)는 비교적 빨리 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 2. 초지(草地)의 수분가(水分價), 토양반응가(土壤反應價) 및 질소가(窒素價) 등 초지의 생태적(生態的) 반응(反應)은 미세지형(微細地形) 정지초지(整地草地) 및 임간초지(林間草地) 공히 크게 감소되는 경향을 보였다. 3. 초지(草地)의 사료가(飼料價)는 방치전(放置前) 정지초지(整地草地)는 7.06에서 방치후(放置後) 3년차는 4.60으로 임간초지(林間草地)는 방치전(放置前) 6.81에서 방치후(放置後) 3년차에는 4.38로 현저히 감소되었다. 4. 초지(草地)의 현존식생(現存植生) 생초량(生草量)은 방치전(放置前) $1.63{\sim}1.48kg/m^2$ 수식 이미지에 비하여 방치후(放置後) 3년차에는 $0.84{\sim}0.68kg/m^2$ 수식 이미지으로 48.5~54.1% 감소되었다.

        The initial sintering behaviour of the powder injection molded (PIMed) W-l5wt%Cu nanocomposite powder was investigated. The W-Cu nanocomposite powder was produced by the mechanochemical process consisting of high energy ball-milling and hydrogen reduction of W blue powder-CuO mixture. Solid state sintering of the powder compacts was conducted at for 2~10 hours in hydrogen at mosphere. The sintering behaviour was examined and discussed in terms of microstructural developments such as W-Cu aggregate formation, pore size distribution and W grain growth. The volume shrinkage of PIM specimen was slightly larger than that of PM(conventional PM specimen), being due to fast local densification in the PIM. Remarkable decrease of carbon and oxygen in the PIM enhanced local densification in the early stage of solid state sintering process with eliminating very fine pores less than 10 nm. In addition, such local densiflcation in the PIM is presumably responsible for mitigating of W-grain growth in the initial stage.

        We studied behaviour pattern of anchovy (Engraulis japonicus) shoal by a method of shoal echo integration and tested species identification by a method of artificial neural network using the acoustic data collected in the East China Sea in March 1994 and in the southern coastal waters of the East Sea of Korea in March 1995. Between areas, frequency distribution of 10 shoal descriptors was different, which showed characteristics of shoal behaviour in size, bathymetric position and acoustic strength. The range and mean of shoal size distribution in length and height was wider and bigger in the southern coastal waters of the East Sea than in the East China Sea. Relative shoal size of China Sea. Fractal dimension of shoal was almost same in both areas. Mean volume reverbration index of shoal was 3 dB higher in the southern coastal waters of the East Sea than in the East China Sea. The depth layer of shoal distribution was related to bottom depth in the southern coastal waters of the East Sea, while it was between near surface and central layer in the East China Sea. Principal component analysis of shoal descriptors showed the correlation between shoal size and acoustic strength which was higher in the southern coastal waters of the East Sea, than in the East China Sea. Correlation was also found among the bathymetric positions of shoal to some degree higher in the southern coastal waters of the East Sea than in the East China Sea. The anchovy shoal of two areas was identified by artificial neural network. The contribution factor index (Cio) of the shoal descriptors between two areas were almost identical feature. The shoal volume reverberation index (Rv) was showed the highest contribution to the species identification, while shoal length and shoal height showed relatively high negative contribution to the species identification.

        대형정치망에 있어서 등망을 중심으로하여 헛통으로부터 제1원통에 이르는 방어어군의 이동행동은 1992년 11월 9일부터 11월 13일까지 일본국 석천현 칠미시 연안에 있는 안단 정치망어장 3호망에서 스케닝 소나를 이용하여 조사하였고, 등망의 어획기능에 관해서 분석, 검토하였다. 이상에 의해 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 방어어군의 출현은 헛통에서는 오전중, 제1원통에서는 오후에 가장 많이 볼 수 있었고, 망내에서의 체류시간은 길었다. 2. 등망을 통과하고 있는 어군의 규모는 헛통 및 제 1원통에 체류하는 어군보다 작았고, 이는 어군의 형상이 변하면서 등망을 통과하였기 때문이라고 생각된다. 3. 등망으로 향한 어군중에서 제 1원통에 입망하는 어군의 비율은 24%이고, 제 1원통에 내등망으로 향한 어군중 헛통으로 도피하는 어군의 비율은 27%였다. 이는 외등망의 구조가 원통으로 유도하는 기능이 충분하지 않다는 것을 의미하고 내등망의 구조는 출망을 저지하는 효과가 충분한 것으로 판단된다. 4. 정치망의 어획효율을 높이기 위해서는 어군의 입출망시각에 맞춘 양망작업이 필요하다. 조사기간중의 원통에 축적된 어군수로부터 그 다음날 아침의 양망은 시장유통과 노동력부족의 문제를 고려하여 적당하다고 생각할 수 있다.

        The moving behaviour of Yellowtail Seriola quinqueradiata schools in the main-net of a large scale set-net was investigated in relation to the catching function of the funnel-net by a scanning sonar. The investigation was took place in the Kishihata set-net fishing ground located in Nanao city Ishigawa prefecture, Japan from Nov. 9 to Nov. 13, 1992. The obtained results are summarized as follows; 1. Fish schools showed the greatest number at the playground in the morning and at the bag-net in the afternoon. The fish schools remained long time in the main-net. 2. The rate of fish school through the funnel-net was smaller than that of fish school which is though the playground and bag-net. Because the Yellowtail school changed the shape of school in passing the funnel-net. 3. The rate of entering the bag-net was 24%, among the fish school heading to the outer funnel-net. But, the rate of escaping to the playground was 27%, among the fish school heading to the inner funnel-net. It seems that the structure of the outer funnel-net was not enough to lead the fish to the bag-net. However, the structure of the inner funnel-net was very effective at preventing escape. 4. It is appropriate to haul the net in the morning in considering the number of accumulated fish in the bag-net during the survey.

        400˚C H2O, D2O및 O2분위기에서 Zr-2.5Nb합금의 부식거동을 분석하였다. Martensitic α'-Zr상이나 α-Zr과 β-Zr상의 Zr-2.5Nb합금인 경우, 부식분위기에 매우 민감하여, O2속에서 가장 큰 부식속도를 보였다. 반면, α-Zr나 β-Zr상의 경우, 부식 매질에 따른 별다른 차이없이 높은 부식저항성을 보였다. 이러한 Zr-2.5Nb 합금의 미세조직 및 부식 매질에 따른 부식거동변화는 Zr-2.5Nb 합금의 음극 지배 부식반응의 관점으로 해석되었으며, 이들 결과를 이용하여 CANDU 형및 RBMK 형 Zr-2.5Nb 압력관의 가동조건 차이를 설명할 수 있었다. Zr-2.5Nb 합금의 모든 조직에서 주로 단사정 ZrO2산화물이 형성되었으며, 산화물내 정방정 ZrO2비율은 산화물 두께가 증가함에 따라 감소하였다.

        Recently with the rapid development in the industries such as an iron mill and chemical plants, these are enlarged by the use of the piping. This piping was encountered the stress corrosion cracking(SCC) because of stress by water pressure and residual stress of welding etc. under industrial water. In this paper, the behaviour of stress corrosion cracking on the weld zone of steel pipe piping water(SPPW) were investigated according to pre-heat before welding in natural seawater(specific resistance : 25Ω-cm). The main results obtained are as follows :1) The stress corrosion cracking for SPPW and SB 41 is most ready to propagate in heat affected zone of weldment. 2) The SCC sensitivity of SPPW on weldment is more susceptible than that of SB 41. 3) The stress corrosion cracking growth of heat affected zone is delayed by the preheat and dry of base metal and electrode before welding.

        선망어법의 어회과정에 있어서 어군행동에 관한 기초적인 연구를 목적으로 제주 근해에서 사용하고 있는 고등어 선망어구인 파워불록용 선망(Powetblock seine)과 앞으로 예상되는 단선조작에서의고등어 선망어구인 트리플레스용 선망(Triplex seine)의 두 가지 모형망을 1/180로 제작 하고 선망에 의해 포위된 어군의 망내행동과 양쪽 선단의 개구부를 통하여 도피하는 어군의 행동을 관찰 분석함과 동시에 망단의 개구부의 면적 및 장력변화 등을 해석하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 죔줄죄기 소요시간 20분일 때, 개구부로 도피하는 아군의 평균 유영속도는 Powerblcok seine에서 9.71cm/sec, Triplex seine에서 9.97cm/sec였다. 2.죔줄죄기 소요시간 20분중 좀줄을 50% 정도 감아들었을 때, 선망내의 어군은 Powerblock seine의 경우 I section 10%, II section방향으로 10% 유영하는 행동을 보였다. 3.죔줄죄기 소요시간 20분중 10분 경과했을 때, 전면 망단 개구부의 면적 감소율은 Powerblock seine이 63.5%, Triplex seine이 어군도피에 대한 수평적 서단능력이 높았따. 그리고, 좀줄에 걸리는 최대장력은 Powerblock seine이 약 8.1톤, Triplex seine이 8.3톤으로 나타 났는데, 양자의 차이는 그다지 크지 않았다.

        콘크리트 중력댐 상부면의 균열에 작용하는 수압의 영향을 주로 고려하여 댐의 파괴거동을 조사하였다. 첫째, 표면적분법에 의하여 응력확대계수를 구하는 경우에 작용하는 수압의 형태를 등분포형태 외에, 삼각형 분포 및 포물선분포도 고려하여 보았다. 둘째, FRANC(FRacture Analysis Code)를 이용하여 균열면에 작용하는 수압의 형태에 따른 기존균열의 전파방향을 추적하였다. 셋째, 월류수위 아래에서 균열이 전파되지 않을 수 있는 한계균열길이를 수압의 분포형태에 따라 구분하여 구하여 보았다. 표면적분법으로 수압의 형태에 따라 응력확대계수를 구한 결과는 FRANC를 이용하여 얻어진 결과와 비교 되었으며 비교적 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 균열면에 작용하는 수압의 형태가 삼각형분포의 경우에 균열의 전파방향은 등분포의 경우에 비하여 댐의 기초쪽으로 기우는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 또한 월류수위 아래에서 한계균열길이는 댐높이의 대략 2/5-1/2되는 곳에서 최대가 됨을 알 수 있었다.

        Cavitation erosion-corrosion implies damage to materials due to the shock pressure or shock wave that results when bubbles form and collapse at a metal surface within a liquid. If the liquids corrosive to the material, a condition typically encountered in industry, the component materials may suffer serious damage by a combination of mechanical and electrochemical attack. To suppress cavitation erosion as well as cavitation erosion-corrosion to hydraulic equipments, innovations such as the improvement in the geometric design of the equipment or the selection of suitably resistant construction materials are necessary. This study was tested by using the piezoelectric vibrator with 20kHz, 24μm for cavitation generation. And also, the vibratory cavitation erosion-corrosion tests on commercial mild steel SS41were carried out. We carefully observed the erosion pattern and surface photography. The geometrical mechanism of pit growth, which is to be likely these processing; shallow typelongrightarrowundercut typelongrightarrowwide shallow type.

        대형정치망의 원통내에 있어서 멸치어군의 이동행동은 1992년 12월 1일부터 12월 4일까지 일본국 석천현 칠미시 연안에 있는 안단 정치망 어장 3호망에서 스케닝 소나를 이용하여 실시하였는데, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 2개의 원통시아에 어군의 이동행동은 주야간에 차이가 있었고, 밤보다는 낮에 더 많이 이동하였다. 2. 제2 원통에 멸치어군이 존재하였을 때, 제1원통에 있는 멸치어군이 제2 원통으로의 입망 비율은 78%였고, 제2 원통에 멸치어군의 존재는 제2원통에의 입망 비율에 영향을 미쳤다는 것을 시사하고 있다. 그러나, 제2원통에 조밀하게 멸치어군이 존재하였을 때, 제 2원통에 입망한 어군의 체류시간은 매우 짧았고, 제2 원통에서 어군의 밀도 상승은 어군의 도피 비율을 증가시킨다는 것을 시사하고 있다. 3. 멸치어군은 원통에 입망할 때, 대부분이 망의 중앙에서 먼바다 쪽으로 방향을 바꾸어 이동하였다.

        To study the dining-out behaviour of housewives, the frequency, food preference, expense for dining-out in social meeting, family gathering, daily meal were surveyed with a total of 454 housewives in Pusan. (1) In the frequency of dining-out, once or twice a month shows highest percentage, 59.7% and 45.8% for social meeting and family gathering respectively. The occasion of dining-out for the daily meal is less than 1 or 2 time per 6 month (62.6%). The frequency of dining-out is highly dependent on demographic variables such as age, academic background, family income, car ownership. (2) The preference for Korean dishes is found to be top in all occasions for dining-out. And then for the social meeting, chinese food, western style food, japanese cuisine and fast food are prefered in order, while western style food and chinese cuisine are rather prefered than japanese cuisine and fast food in occasion for family gathering. When they dine out just for daily meal, korean food is prefered first and preference for chinese food, western style food, fast food is followed in order. Japanese cuisine is prefered the last. (3) Housewives answered highly that the expense they spend for dining-out for social meeting (45.8%) or family fathering (46.8%) is 5,000 to 10,000 won per person. For these occasions, the expense is different with family income. Namely, if their income is higher than 3,000,000 won, they usually spend 10,000 to 15,000 won for the occasion. And for the daily dining-out, 34.7% respondents answered that they spend 2,000 to 3,000 won.
