It is well documented that giant cells can be observed in some types of odontogenic tumors such as central odontogenic tumor and dentinogenic ghost cell tumor. However, the presence of stromal giant cells has only rarely been reported in ameloblastoma, although being the most common epithelial odontogenic tumor. In this study, we present a novel case of peripheral ameloblastoma associated with peripheral giant cell granuloma arising in the mandibular alveolar mucosa of a 65-year-old male patient. The possible pathogenesis of this combined lesion will be discussed, in addition to the review of previous reports of ameloblastoma accompanied by stromal giant cells.

Juvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG) is an unusual histiocytosis by an unknown cause, which rarely occurs in the oral cavity. Its clinical presentation is non-specific, so prevents to differentiate it from other oral mucosal diseases. In addition, limited oral JXG cases have been reported so far, and clinical features and therapy of oral JXG are more and less different from cutaneous JXG. The purpose of this report is to present a case of JXG on the dorsal tongue and a review of relevant literature.

Lymphomatoid granulomatosis (LYG) is an uncommon Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated B-cell lymphoproliferative disorder distinct from lymphoma. LYG primarily occurs in the lung with or without accompanied lesions in the skin, central nervous system, kidney, gastrointestinal tract, nose, eyes, liver and oral cavity. Solitary extrapulmonary LYG is extremely rare, and whether solitary lesions progress onto pulmonary development and dysfunction is controversial. Herein, we report a case on a solitary LYG in the maxilla gingiva with bone exposure in a patient who had been taking methotrexate for rheumatoid arthritis.

Juvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG) is a benign histiocytosis that occurs in the pediatric population. Cutaneous JXG is the most common form, while extracutaneous lesions, including oral JXG, is extremely rare. Cutaneous JXG can occur as multiple lesions and may have systemic visceral involvement, but this is not seen in oral JXG. In this case, we report a solitary oral JXG at the gingiva in a 3-year old male.

이 연구에서는 생계부양자로만 여겨졌던 남성의 돌봄 참여가 요구되는 사회적 현실에서 육아 리얼리티 프로그램인 <슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다>에 주목하여 남성의 자녀 돌봄의 재현방식과 그 사회 문화적 함의를 검토하였다. 서사분석 결과 첫째, 돌봄은 여성의 본분이라는 통념에 근거해 인물 관계가 묘사되었고, 남성의 돌봄은 주로 상업화된 체험교육 시설이나 서비스, 외식업체를 이용한 소비활동으로 대체되고 있었다. 둘째, 이야기구조 분석을 통해 새로운 성역할 규범을 모색하기보 다 성별분업에 기초한 정상가족제도를 강화하는 경향을 발견하였다. 마지막으로 인터뷰와 관찰 을 통해 돌봄의 어려움이 가시화되고, 남성의 돌봄 참여가 가져온 긍정적 변화를 보여주었음에도 불구하고 텍스트의 최종의미를 고정하는 내래이션은 기혼여성의 시점에서 남성은 여성보다 돌 봄에 미숙하다는 통념을 강화하고 있었다. 결국 여성의 돌봄 책무를 경감하기보다 오락적이고, 소비주의적인 남성의 돌봄을 규범화하여 부모되기의 책무를 강화하고 있었다.

황색 육아종성 췌장염은 드문 사례로서 저자들은 췌장의 고형 종양이 의심되어 수술 후 조직검사로 진단된 황색 육아 종성 췌장염(xanthogranulomatous pancreatitis)의 1예를 경 험 했기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고한다.

Qualitative consumption is a trend in the children clothing market and watching TV of childcare-entertainment reality programs are becoming popular. This study examines the watching degree of childcare-entertainment reality TV programs of parent buyer (30s) and potential buyer (20s) and we investigate their shopping orientation of children wear. We did the survey research of 200 consumers with SPSS statistical analysis including the review of internet news, paper, and books on children wear shopping orientation. The results are following: first, the longer the watching time of childcare-entertainment reality TV programs, the higher shopping orientation, such as following the fashion of child stars, and the higher the watching preferences on childcare-entertainment reality programs, the greater shopping orientation in following childcare-entertainment reality programs star when they are purchasing children's clothing. Second, potential consumers as well as parent consumers were affected by watching the childcare-entertainment reality programs. Watching childcare-entertainment reality TV programs could give the impact when they were shopping children’s clothing because they wanted to follow the fashion of childcareentertainment reality programs TV star. Accordingly, the exposure of the childcare-entertainment reality programs for children clothing is found to be positive to the both current and future consumers.

Calcipex II has been widely used for root canal irrigation in endodontic treatment. It is a product of calcium oxide-based water soluble paste containing fine granular resin materials1). It was known that these granular materials were hardly dissolved in tissue and subsequently elicited foreign body granuloma by recruiting macrophages. Sometimes serious complications involving regional osteomyelitis and maxillary sinusitis were followed in long time after the endodontic treatment using Calcipex II materials2,3). And then the removed surgical specimen should be carefully examined to detect whether there exists Calcipex II material-related foreign body reaction or not. As the fine granular materials are too small in size, about 1 μm in diameter, and slightly translucent, it is difficult to find out the fine granular materials scattered throughout the granulomatous lesion even in the high magnification view. Here, we firstly found that the fine granular materials of Calcipex II showed bright birefringence under the polarizing microscope, and that the Calcipex II granules dispersed in chronic granulomatous lesion could be easily detected by their bright birefringence. The present study demonstrated a case of peri-implantitis involved with Calcipex II granule-related periapical granuloma, exhibiting numerous bright birefringence spots in the polarizing microscope observation.

황색육아종성 담낭염은 만성 담낭염의 드문 형태로 파괴적인 병리학적 특성으로 인해 다른 담낭염보다 주위 인접 장 기로의 침범과 유착, 누공 형성 등의 합병증의 동반 비율이 높다. 황색육아종성 담낭염에서 합병증으로 십이지장 또는 대장과의 누공 형성 등이 보고되고 있으나 동시에 십이지장과 대장으로의 누공이 형성된 예는 아직 보고가 없는 상태이다. 저자들은 위배출구 폐색을 보인 환자에서 복부전산화 단층촬영과 상부위장관내시경 검사를 통하여 담낭-십이지장 누공, 담낭-대장 누공의 합병증을 동반한 황색육아종성 담낭염을 진단하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

황색육아종성 담낭염은 주변조직을 침투하는 특성으로 인해 담낭암과 감별이 어려우며 조직학적 확진을 위해 담낭 절제술을 시행해야 하는 경우가 많고, 주변조직과의 유착으 로 확대절제술이 필요한 경우가 상당수이다. 소변색 변화를 주소로 내원한 69세 여자환자가 전산화단층촬영 및 자기공 명영상에서 주변조직을 침윤하는 담낭종괴가 발견되었고, 최초에는 담낭암으로 판단하였으나, 조직검사 및 추적 전산 화단층촬영으로 양성 염증 질환의 가능성이 높을 것으로 판단, 스테로이드 치료 시행 후 호전되어 확진을 위해 담낭절 제술을 시행하였고 황색육아종성 담낭염을 진단하였다. 스테로이드 치료로 인해 간조직 침투가 호전되어 광범위 절제 술을 피할 수 있었던 증례로 이를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

We present a case of lipogranuloma of the chin in a 17-year-old man. The lesion was revealed as lipogranuloma in radiological and histopathological findings and did not recur after being surgically removed. Lipogranuloma is a granulomatous inflammation with marked sclerosing response to the fatty tissue caused by foreign material injection. Despite lipogranuloma was reported as a complication arising from injection of oil-based substances into soft tissues for the purpose of cosmetic therapy, patient in this case had no history of foreign material injection. We expect that patient had a history of traumatic injury on his right chin that he doesn’t remember. Definitive treatment of lipogranuloma is surgical excision and usually involves secondary reconstruction. Regarding the physical and psychological complications of this practice, prevention is required the most but once occurred accurate history taking and biopsy is important to diagnosis

본 연구는 북유럽 국가 중 핀란드의 육아 및 보육정책과 우리나라의 보육정책현황에 관해 살펴보고, 이를 통해 우리나라에 주는 시사점을 도출하여 우리나라의 보육정책 및 육아지원, 저출산정책 수립에 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 핀란드는 북유럽 복지정책의 근간아래 최소한의 생계보장ㆍ아동과 모성 보호ㆍ건강 보호ㆍ무상 교육 등 아동복지가 잘 완비되어 있으며, 산전산후 휴가ㆍ육아 휴직ㆍ병가와 연가, 18세이하 아동의 무상 외래진료 등은 모든 국민들을 질병과 사고 및 재해로부터 보호해 주고 있다. 핀란드는 1948년에 아동수당법에 의해 보편적 아동수당제도가 도입되어 현재까지 지속되고 있으며, 출산관련수당에는 모성수당과 모성휴가 및 부모휴가수당, 부성휴가와 부성수당이 있고, 양육수당으로는 가정양육 및 민간보육수당, 주거수당, 생계유지수당 등이 있다. 보육서비스는 취학전 아동의 보편적 보육이용권리, 방과우 아동보육서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 건강 및 보건서비스는 산전관리 및 모자건강 클리닉, 학교보건제도 등이 있다. 이상을 통해 우리나라에 주는 시사점은 다양한 보육서비스와 아동양육수당의 선택권이 필요하며, 영아들을 위한 다양한 지원과 서비스의 개발이 필요하다는 점이다. 마지막으로 우리나라에서 여성이 경제활동을 하기에는 노동시장환경이 열악하다는 사실을 감안하여 남성이 혼자서 경제활동을 하는 경우 자녀양육에 대한 경제적 부담이 크므로 이에 대한 양육지원 또한 이루어져야 한다.

Cholesterol granuloma(CG) occurs frequently in association with chronic middle ear diseases, particularly diseases in the mastoid antrum and air cells of the temporal bone, and much less frequently in paranasal sinuses. It occurs frequently secondary to massive hemorrhage of oral and paraoral cysts. However, It has never been reported to occur solely without any association with preexisting lesion in the mandible. We experienced development of unusual cholesterol granuloma in the mandible. Seventy year old female presented diffuse hard swelling on the left mandibular area with lymphadenopathy of the left cervical lymph node. Radiographic examination showed a well circumscribed multilocular radiolucency resembling soap bubble appearance with tooth displacement and root resorption, leading to the radiogrphic impression of dentigerous cyst or odontogenic cyst or ameloblastoma. CT showed bucco-lingually undulating expansile lesion with corticated margin from the left posterior mandibular body to the anterior ramus, including #46, #47 and #48, and the mass showed slightly lower attenuation than muscle. leading to the impression of ameloblastoma. The mass after surgical excision composed of 2 sac like structures, measuring 4.0cm, and 2.7cm in diameter respectively. One sac was tightly attached to the #46, resembling dentigerous cyst. Microscopic examination showed a large number of cholesterol clefts in association with hemorrhage, hemosiderin pigments and foreign body giant cells. There was no evidence of cyst or other lesions

Immunohi stologic eval uation of the large atypical cells has suggested a myofibroblastic 0 1' histi ocyti c origi 1γ However ‘ recent reports have shown that these cells are positive for CD30 antigen. We have descr ibed a case of ora l mucosal lesions with featu res of TEG that had a CD68 posite atypical cells. The large cells showed s trong pos itive for CD68‘ but negative for CD30. The sma ll Iymphocy tic cells exprerssed CD3. This case was interpreted as an atypical histiocytic g ran uloma .

The dentigerous cyst(DC) and giant cell granuloma(GCG) in the jaws are well known entities that have been extensively reviewed. However, a search of the literature failed to reveal simulataneous occurrence of these two lesions. We describe a case of DC displaying foci of GCG-like lesion of a 11-year-old Korean girl. The lesion exhibited the characteristic histologic features of DC, which included a lining epithelium with underlying fibromyxoid stroma. The most intersting aspect of this lesion, however, was the presence of a prominant histologic component that resembled GCG. The most probable diagnosis was GCG-like lesion in association with a DC.
