The subway is a common transportation system accessed by over 8 million people on a daily basis in Metropolitan Seoul area. The subway ventilation system located on a street occupies a large area of walkways which cause inconvenience to the public. In this paper, approaches to reduce the ventilation sitting area on the pathway are examined. 5 different preliminary models of ventilation systems are analyzed to minimize the pathway obstacle area such that the public may have an easy access to pass by on the street. The amount of the air ventilation is predicted using the CFD software to ensure an efficient ventilation. The ventilation performance is verified by theory and numerical analysis. The result shows that one of the proposed model combined with the hybrid ventilation satisfies the regulation requirement of the air quantities. We may conclude that the proposed ventilation design provides a smooth walking environment to the public while the ventilation volume is maintained to the existing ventilation system with no modification of the current ventilation holes and structures.

The game industry, which has been rapidly developing these days in Korean society, is a socially debated issue for the fact that some games are allegedly likely to stir up a speculative drive in people. Among others, the speculativeness of games has been paid more attention by game developers because of the prevalent belief in Korean society that basically games are gambling, which has been more consolidated by reported illegal activities committed by some users of illegal games. More disturbingly, if regulations are put on the act of gaming, not on some speculative games, the nature of games could be distorted and an unexpected adverse effect would arise as a result. This study examines the appropriateness and the effect of the current game regulation from a perspective of game developers and investigates how the regulation and its operation affect the change of the nature of games. The findings of this study are expected to bring about the deeper exploration of the effect of game regulation and broaden the view on the Korean game industry.

본 논문은 쉔커(Heinrich Schenker, 1868-1935)의 소나타 형식 이론이 갖는 문제점을 그의 『자유작법』에 제시된 그래프들을 중심으로 검토하고 수정·증보함으로써 이론에 체계성과 일관성을 더하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 『자유작법』에서 이루어진 소나타 형식에 관한 쉔커의 논의는 충분하지 못할 뿐 아니라, 때로는 그 논의를 뒷받침하는 분석 그래프들에 일관성이 부족하여 이론이 갖는 유용성과 효용성에도 불구하고 그 가치가 폄하되곤 하였다. 이에 필자는 쉔커의 소나타 형식 이론의 문제점을 ‘중단’(Unterbrechung) 패러다임의 비일관성과 재현부 논의의 부족으로 규정하고 이러한 문제점들을 포함하고 있는 그래프들에 대한 면밀한 검토를 통해 이들을 개선한 수정 그래프 들을 제시하였다. 필자의 수정 제안은 중단 기호를 첨부하거나 재현부에서 복귀하는 머리음 또는 이를 지지하는 대위의 위계를 정정하는 것에서 시작하여, 재현부의 스케치를 증보하는 방식으로 이루어졌다. 예를 들어, ‘버금딸림조 재현부’를 특징으로 하는 모차르트 《피아노 소나타 K.545》 제1악장에 대해서는 재현부의 독특한 구상을 반영한 그래프를 제시하며 머리음 복귀의 문제에 대해 논했으며, 제2주제 를 생성하는 딸림화음의 위계를 단순히 ’분할자’(divider)로 취급한 베토벤 《피아노 소나타 Op. 2/2》 제1악장은 온전한 소나타 형식 설계로 정정하였고, 재현부의 시작이 아닌, 끄트머리에 가서 야 머리음 복귀를 선택한 베토벤 《피아노 소나타 Op.27/2》 제3악장에 대해서는 그 위치 수정을 제안하였다.

Firefighters receive extreme stress and suffer from PTSD in disaster. But we have not been paid attention to them. The purpose of this study is to analyze the problems of previous PTSD education programs in fire academy and to present the practical educational programs for firefighters to use in the disaster field. In the empirical analysis of this practical educational programs(EFT program), this program is more effective than existing theory-focused education training program.

목적:본 연구는 남가주대학의 성공적인 노화연구(the USC well elderly research study)를 이론적 근거로 한 라이프스타일 재설계 프로그램이 치매노인의 시간 사용과 삶의 질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하고자 한다.연구방법:연구 대상은 10명의 치매노인을 대상으로 총 13주간에 걸쳐 라이프스타일 재설계 프로그램이 이루어졌다. 프로그램 적용 전 1주간에 걸쳐 작업 설문지(Occupational Questionnaire; OQ), 치매 노인 삶의 질 척도(Geriatric Quality of Life-Dementia; GQOL-D)를 통해 사전 검사를 실시하였고, 11주간의 프로그램이 끝난 후 1주 동안 사후 검사를 실시하였다.결과:라이프스타일 재설계 프로그램 적용 후 치매노인의 삶의 질 그리고 휴식과 수면영역에서 유의한 변화를 보였다. 또한 프로그램 적용 후 CDR 등급에 따른 분석 결과 수단적 일상생활, 여가, 휴식과 수면영역에서 유의한 차이를 확인할 수 있었다.결론:라이프스타일 재설계 프로그램은 치매노인의 휴식과 수면에 소비되는 시간을 감소시켰고, 수단적 일상생활, 여가와 같은 생산적 활동 시간을 증가시켰으며, 그로 인해 삶의 질이 향상되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Korean Volunteer Fire Departments are the representative disaster-related civilian organizations which are based on "Firefighting Framework Act Article 37"and ordinance for complementing the lack of fire-fighting personnel and volunteer and they play a part as community safety keepers. They are operated by the National funding, but cannot be defined as the organization in governmental sources completely or pure volunteer organization in terms of its founding purpose and activities. In these special characteristics, some Volunteer Fire Departments play an important role in Civilian Volunteer Disaster Prevention by being managed effectively, but the others do not. There can be many cause-analyses about this difference. They aren't profit-making organizations and are groups which have no compulsion. So it is important that who the leader is, and what type of leadership he has. By solving this bias by considering these characteristics, in this study we make them perform the center role of community safety network through analyzing the existing status and problems of volunteer fire department education and customized training program reengineering to meet class-specific and regional level.

대류 상자 실험을 통해 대류 순환 모형을 유추하지 못하는 학생들의 원인을 분석하여 대류 실험을 재설계하였다. 초기 형식적 조작기에 있는 학생들이지만 직접 보지 못한 자연 현상에 대해서는 유추하기가 어려우므로 자연 현상을 축소한 대류 상자를 개발하여 학생들의 과학적 이해도를 높일 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 기존 대류 상자 실험의 문제점을 개선하여 제작한 대류 상자를 통해 수업에 적용한 결과 학생들의 이해도가 크게 증가하였다. 바람의 이동 현상만을 관찰하는 것이 아니라 향을 여러 위치에서 넣어봄으로써 과학적 사고를 자극하고 직접 관찰할 수 있었다. 또한 자연 현상의 축소판에 가깝게 설계하여 학생들이 과학적 오개념을 갖지 않는다. 모둠원이 양방향에서 관찰함으로써 수업의 참여도가 높아졌다. 새로 개발된 대류상자는 기존 대류상자에 비하여 저렴한 비용으로 제작할 수 있으며, 선명한 대류 현상을 볼 수 있다.

The paper presents a digital speed control approach of induction motor systems by using a digital redesign method and adopting a well known 2nd order model as the system model equation. The basic concept using the modeling equation is induced from the control theory stand point such that we can describe usually the motor system connected by inverter, generator and load etc. just as a mechanical system to be controlled. The concept does not demand us the complicated vector-based modeling equation adopted in the traditional methods for the speed control of induction motor. The effectiveness of the servo control system composed by the above mentioned design concept is illustrated by the experimental results in the presence of step reference change and generator load variation. It is observed from the experimental results that the steady state error of the experimental set up becomes zero after some regulation time and the induction motor system is robust in spite of reference signal change and load variation of generator.

As the market of express delivery services expands rapidly, delivery service companies are exposed to severe competition. As a result of the surplus of delivery companies, they are struggling with remaining competitive at a reasonable price with appropriate level of customer satisfaction. To cope with competition pressures, a strategic alliance is suggested as an effective solution to the challenges faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in express delivery services. Therefore, this study suggests a combined optimization and simulation approach to the reconfiguration of an express delivery service network for strategic alliance with respect to strategy partnership of closing/keeping service centers among companies involved and adjustments of their cutoff times. An illustrative numerical example is presented to demonstrate the practicality and efficiency of the approach.
