PURPOSES : In this study, the factors affecting commuting time according to city, county, and ward were empirically analyzed. METHODS : We estimated the average commuting time according to city, county, and ward by controlling for the characteristics of individual commuters, using a 2% sample of the Population and Housing Census of the National Statistical Office, and performed a twostage regression analysis using the average commuting time as the dependent variable. RESULTS : Among the regional attributes in the second stage, the share of commuters with different work and living areas was analyzed as a representative factor causing longer commuting times. The proportion of each mode of transportation in the total regional traffic volume and the population and household characteristics were also analyzed as affecting the average commuting time in the region. Particularly, when analyzing regions by dividing them into cities and counties within a metropolitan city and cities and counties within a province, or by dividing them into urban and rural areas, it can be observed that the factors affecting the average commuting time in the region are different, indicating that differentiated transportation policies are required according to the characteristics of the region. CONCLUSIONS : Commuting time entails increasing opportunity costs as wages increase. However, the expansion of the inter-regional transportation infrastructure acts as a factor in increasing job-residence separation and causes contradictory results by increasing the commuting time. If the characteristics of each region are different, and a function hierarchy as a city appears, travel between regions will become more common. Today, the widening gap between urban and rural areas in terms of employment and residential conditions can cause social waste due to increased commuting times. Ultimately, the extinction crisis of rural areas can be alleviated through policy by encouraging proximity to direct employment through the balanced development of jobs and settlement conditions between regions.
This study investigated the effects of social responsibility activities on consumer attitudes, product evaluation, corporate support, and corporate trust through structural equations and path analysis. Corporate social responsibility activities were divided into five areas: consumer and environmental protection, social contribution, cultural business, and economic responsibility, and the relative impact on consumer attitudes was considered. The results and strategic implications of this study are as follows. The same results as in previous studies confirmed that the performance of corporate social responsibility activities induces positive attitudes and behaviors of consumers. It proved that the performance of corporate social responsibility activities leads consumers to form a positive attitude, which can eventually be transferred to products and corporate images by a halo effect, leading to product evaluation, corporate support and trust. In addition, the composition dimension and measurement items of corporate social responsibility activities were re-verified, and from a consumer point of view, it was confirmed that social responsibility activities include not only economic activities, but also activities that contribute positively, such as social contribution, support for local and cultural projects, and actions that do not harm society as a whole, such as protecting consumer rights and protecting the environment.
PURPOSES : This study empirically examines the determinants of traffic accidents by focusing on the transport culture index. METHODS : Two-stage least-squares estimation using an instrumental variable is used as the identification strategy. As the instrumental variable of the transport culture index, its past values, particularly before the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2018 are used. RESULTS : The empirical results, considering the potential endogeneity of the transport culture index, show that areas with higher values of the index are likely to have fewer traffic accident casualties. Local governments of regions with relatively frequent traffic accidents can run campaigns for residents to fasten their seatbelts, causing reverse causation. Ignoring this type of endogeneity underestimates the importance of the index as a key determinant of traffic accidents. CONCLUSIONS : Several traffic accidents occur in Korea, e.g., 203,130 accidents with 291,608 injuries and 5,392 deaths. As traffic accidents cause social costs, such as delays in traffic flow and damage to traffic facilities, public interventions are required to reduce them. However, the first step in public intervention is to accurately understand the relationship between the degree of damage in traffic accidents and the transport-related attributes of the areas where the accidents occurred. Although the transport culture index appears to be an appropriate indicator for predicting local traffic accidents, its limitations as a comprehensive index need to be addressed in the future.
PURPOSES : This study aims to perform a quantitative analysis of Forward Collision Warning and crash frequency using heavy vehicle driving data collected in expressway driving environments, and to classify the driving environments where Forward Collision Warnings of heavy vehicles occur for accident-prone areas and analyze their occurrence characteristics. METHODS : A bivariate Gaussian mixture model based on inter-vehicle distance gap and speed-acceleration parameters is used to classify the environment in which Forward Collision Warning occurs for heavy vehicles driving on expressways. For this analysis, Probe Vehicle Data of 80 large trucks collected by C-ITS devices of Korea Expressway Corporation from May to June 2022. Combined with accident information from the past five years, a detailed analysis of the classified driving environments is conducted. RESULTS : The results of the clustering analysis categorizes Forward Collision Warning environments into three groups: Group I (highdensity, high-speed), Group II (high-density, low-speed), and Group III (low-density, high-speed). It reveals a positive correlation between Forward Collision Warning frequency and accident rates at these points, with Group I prevailing. Road characteristics at sites with different accident incidences showed that on-ramps and toll gates had high occurrences of both accidents and warnings. Furthermore, acceleration deviation at high-accident sites was significant across all groups, with variable speed deviations noted for each warning group. CONCLUSIONS : The Forward Collision Warning of heavy vehicles on expressways is classified into three types depending on the driving environment, and the results of these environmental classifications can be used as a basis for building a road environment that reduces the risk of crashes for heavy vehicles.
This study aimed to analyze the investment feasibility of the poultry model village project at the KOPIA Kenya Center of the Rural Development Administration. To achieve this objective, the study examined the effect on improving farm household income and conducted the Benefit-Cost analysis. The survey conducted one-on-one interviews with farmers who participated in the pilot project using the difference-in-difference method. The pilot project yielded an increase of 43,585 shillings(≒475,076 \)/ year per household in comparison to the conventional farms. The B/C ratio was 6.0, indicating a high level of investment performance.
선박의 안전운항을 도모하기 위한 필수적 요소 중 하나인 복원성 확보에 대한 항해사의 해기지식은 선박의 대형화 및 자율운 항선박 출현 등 선박 기술의 진보와 더불어 향상되고 개선되어야 한다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 항해사를 대상으로 복원성에 관한 설문 조사를 수행하였고, 일반적 특성을 이용하여 경험적 인지도를 통계분석하였다. 분석 결과, 복원성 기준의 이해도에서 상위직급에서는 높 은 이해도를 갖고 있었으며, 특정 선종에 대한 특별 기준에 대한 이해는 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 전체 응답자의 87.6%가 복원성 평가의 수단으로 Loading computer를 활용하고 있었다. 현장에서 복원성 평가 방법으로 GM 활용이 평균 3.891/5.000점으로 가장 높았으며, 주로 GM과 복원성 기준으로 복원성 확보여부를 판단하였다. 복원성 부족 시, 항해사는 주로 평형수 보충을 통하여 개선하였으며, 소각도 타각 사용으로 안전을 확보하는 운항적 경향도 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 선박 복원성에 대한 항해사의 경험적 인지도를 평가함으로써, 향후 운 항자 중심의 복원성에 관한 교육 개선 및 연구에 중요한 자료로 활용하고자 한다.
Surface water temperature of a bay (from the south to the north) increases in spring and summer, but decreases in autumn and winter. Due to shallow water depth, freshwater outflow, and weak current, the water temperature in the central to northern part of the bay is greatly affected by the land coast and air temperature, with large fluctuations. Water temperature variations are large in the north-east coast of the bay, but small in the south-west coast. The difference between water temperature and air temperature is greater in winter and in the south-central part of the bay than that in the north to the eastern coast of the bay where sea dykes are located. As the bay goes from south to north, the range of water temperature fluctuation and the phase show increases. When fresh water is released from the sea dike, the surrounding water temperature decreases and then rises, or rises and then falls. The first mode of empirical orthogonal function (EOF) represents seasonal variation of water temperature. The second mode represents the variability of water temperature gradient in east-west and north-south directions of the bay. In the first mode, the maximum and the minimum are shown in autumn and summer, respectively, consistent with seasonal distribution of surface water temperature variance. In the second mode, phases of the coast of Seosan~Boryeong and the east coast of Anmyeon Island are opposite to each other, bordering the center of the deep bay. Periodic fluctuation of the first mode time coefficient dominates in the one-day and half-day cycle. Its daily fluctuation pattern is similar to air temperature variation. Sea conditions and topographical characteristics excluding air temperature are factors contributing to the variation of the second mode time coefficient.
PURPOSES : This study empirically analyzes the determinants of fatal accidents based on raw data on traffic accidents occurring in Chungnam in 2020.
METHODS : Regression models based on theoretical arguments for fatal traffic accidents are estimated using a binomial logit model.
RESULTS : The prediction model for fatal accidents is affected by the degree of urbanization of the region, month and day of the accident, type of accident, and type of law violation. In addition, speeding or illegal U-turns among law violations appear more likely to result in fatal accidents. The road surface conditions at the time of the accident do not show a significant difference in the probability of fatality among traffic accidents. However, the probability of a fatal accident is rather lower in case of a snowy road; this is plausible, as drivers tend to drive more carefully in bad weather conditions.
CONCLUSIONS : Among traffic accidents, fatal accidents appear to be affected by the time and place of the accident, type of accident, and weather conditions at the time of the accident. These analysis results suggest policy implications for reducing fatal accidents and can be used as a basis for establishing related policies.
경험식에 기반한 폭발 해석방법은 폭압-시간 이력곡선을 하중으로 적용하여 해석하는 방법이다. 이 방법은 모델링이 간단하고 해 석시간이 짧아 효율적이지만, 일부 연구에 따르면 근거리 폭발 해석에는 적합하지 않음이 보고되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 예로써 환산 거리 0.4~1.0의 근거리 폭발조건에 있는 RC 보에 대해 해석방법에 따른 결과의 차이 및 원인을 분석하였고, 이를 통해 경험식 방법을 이용한 해석의 적용 범위를 구체적으로 검토 및 확인할 수 있었다. 사용된 유한요소해석 프로그램은 LS-DYNA이다. 해석결과에 따르 면, 원거리 폭발 실험 데이터를 근거로 하는 경험식 해석방법은 충격량을 과소평가하고 있었다. 이로 인해 RC 보의 처짐은 측정된 처 짐 또는 ALE(Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian) 해석결과에 비해 작게 계산되었다. 구조체의 응답이 크게 나타나는 근거리 폭발에 대해 서는 ALE 해석방법을 사용하는 것이 더 적합할 것으로 사료된다.
This paper aims to propose a new systematic approach to analyze the factor productivity and to investigate those characteristics of factor productivity in operational and managerial perspectives. The Cobb-Douglas production function is adopted to estimate the labor and capital productivity. In estimating those productivities the data of The Research on the Actual Condition of Coastal Fisheries (RACF), especially those of Jeon-Nam Province are used. The statistical analysis of RACF data shows that the characteristics are a little bit different between labor and capital of the operational equipment in the coastal fisheries. The Cobb-Douglas type production function is useful in estimating the factor productivity, especially in case of ‘coastal Stow-net fishery’ even though the limited data is used. However, in case of ‘trap fishery,’ the Cobb-Douglas production function appears to have some limitations in estimation. This implies that estimating the factor productivities in fisheries employing broad perspectives and various methods are needed.
Based on the analysis of the development of cross-border e-commerce in BRICS countries and the status quo of cross-border e-commerce trade between China and other BRICS countries, this paper makes a quantitative analysis of China's cross-border e-commerce exports to other BRICS countries and its influencing factors. Based on the classical expression of gravity model, this paper adjusts the model and constructs an extended gravity model with China's cross-border e-commerce exports to other BRICS countries as dependent variable, GDP of other BRICS countries, distance between China and the BRICS countries, population of importing countries, consumption gap, Internet penetration, logistics performance composite index of importing countries and cultural gap as independent variables. Based on the panel data of China, Russia, India, Brazil and South Africa for 8 years from 2010 to 2017, this paper finds that the GDP of importing countries, Internet penetration of importing countries, consumption gap, logistics performance composite index and population have a positive impact on China's cross-border e-commerce exports to other BRICS countries, while cultural gap and geographical distance have a negative impact on China's cross-border e-commerce exports to other BRICS countries.
In this study, the improvement of the IP system, which is the core infrastructure of the MRO project, and its effect were analyzed. Systematic problems and problems that are not competitive in the actual operating environment were systematically derived, and based on this, the most suitable method for target system development was found and improved. And the data of the improved system was analyzed and the effect was verified through empirical analysis of the system improvement effect through the user questionnaire. As a result of the study, the item with the highest improvement effect was convenience, which increased by 12.43 points. Then it increased by 10.25 points in terms of features. In particular, you will notice a significant improvement in speed by 30-50%. This is because the empirical analysis results are more objective and realistic than other conceptual models. Also, from the practical point of view, based on the results of the empirical analysis, corporate management can more effectively promote the intellectual property system, which is expected to contribute to the enhancement of corporate competitiveness.
연구에서는 기술혁신 관점에서 창업기업 여부, 연구전담조직 보유, 국가연구개발사업 수혜 등의 특성이 한계기업의 정상기업 전환에 유의하게 기여하는지를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 한계기업 중 창업기업에게 국가연구개발사업을 지원하면, High-tech 산업을 중심으로 정상기업으로의 전환에 긍정적으로 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 한계기업의 연구전담조직의 보유여부가 정상기업으로의 전환에 긍정적으로 기여하였다. 이는 연구전담 조직이 체계적인 R&D를 수행할 수 있는 조직기반이 되고 있음을 시사한다. 상기 분석결과 는 한계기업에 대한 구조조정 위주의 기존 산업정책에서 정상기업으로의 전환 가능성이 높은 한계기업에 대한 선별적인 R&D 지원정책으로 패러다임 전환이 필요함과 동시에 한계기업의 정상기업으로의 전환을 지원하기 위한 국가연구개발사업의 전략성 강화가 필요함을 시사한다.
본 논문의 목적은 제4차 산업혁명의 구성요소에 대한 일반대중의 관심이 지속 또는 증가하는가, 그리고 그 관심의 분포에 국제성이 있는가를 실 증적으로 검증하는 것이다. 연구방법으로는 2018년 5월 기준 전 세계 검색량의 90%를 차지하고 있는 검색 포털사이트인 구글이 제공하는 구글트렌드를 활용한 빅데이터 툴을 활용하였다. 이와 관련 기존의 실증적 연구의 대상이 제4차 산업혁명 또는 그 유사개념에 대한 일반 대중의 관심에 있었다면, 본 논문은 그 검증 대상을 제4차 산업혁명을 뒷받침하는 실질적 핵심기술과 새로운 패러다임으로 구체화하였다. 문헌고찰을 통해 제4차 산업혁명 핵심기술 키워드로서 인공지능(Artificial Intelligence, AI), 사물인터넷(Internet of Things, IoT), 빅데이터(Big Data), 클라우드컴퓨팅(Cloud Computing), 모바일(Mobile), 블록체인(Block Chain), 3D프린팅(Three Dimensional Printing), 로봇(Robot), 가상・증강현실(Virtual・Augment Reality), 사이버물리시스템(Cyber-physical System, CPS), 스마트팩토리 (Smart Factory)의 11개 키워드를, 제4차 산업혁명으로 창출된 패러다임으로서 O2O(Online to Offline), 공유경제(Sharing Economy), 플랫폼경제 (Platform Economy), 온디맨드경제(On-Demand Economy), 크라우드소싱 (Crowd Sourcing)의 5개 키워드를 각각 선정하였다. 16개 키워드에 대한 분석 결과, 2004년 1월부터 2020년 8월 현재까지 제4차 산업혁명의 구성 요소 핵심기술 11개 키워드에 대한 일반 대중의 관심은 새로운 패러다임 5개 키워드에 대한 관심과 달리 지속적으로 증가하였고, 그 관심도는 3D 프린팅을 제외하고는 모두 전 세계적으로 어느 정도 분포되어 있는 국제성을 획득하였음을 실증적으로 확인하였다.
미국을 비롯한 선진국과 한국의 노동시장에서 학력별 노동 간 임금격차가 심화되는 현상이 나타나고 있다. 본 논문은 한국 제조업 노동시장에서 발생하고 있는 학력별 임금격차를 바탕으로 인적자본론에 근 거하여 저학력노동시장과 고학력노동시장으로 분절하고 학력별 노동수요가 어떤 요인에 영향을 받는가 를 실증분석하였다.
먼저 저학력노동과 고학력노동으로 나누어 제조업의 학력별 임금격차를 설명하였다. 분석방법으로 저 학력노동, 고학력노동과 물적자본을 생산요소로 하고 외생변수로 중립적 기술진보와 세계화를 포함한 다 요소 Cobb-Douglas 생산함수를 설정하였다. 이것을 바탕으로 비용함수를 구하고 학력별 노동수요함수를 유도하여 통계자료를 사용하여 실증분석하였다.
추정결과는 첫째 저학력노동(고졸이하)과 고학력노동(대졸 이상) 간에는 보완적 관계가, 물적자본과 고학력노동(대졸이상) 간에는 대체적인 관계가 성립하였다. 둘째 제조업 생산량은 저학력노동 수요에 양 (+)의 방향으로 영향을 미치지만 고학력노동 수요에는 통계적으로 유의미한 영향은 미치지 않았다. 셋째 세계화는 고학력노동 수요를 증가시키고 저학력노동 수요를 감소하는 방향으로 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 중립적 기술진보는 고학력수요를 증가하는 방향으로 영향을 미치지만 저학력노동 수요에 거의 미치지 못했다. 이런 결론을 바탕으로 정책적 제안을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 경기침체 때 생산량이 줄어들면 이에 따라 저학력노동 수요가 감소하고 실업이 발생한다. 이런 상황에 대응하여 저학력노동 고용촉진정책이 필요하다. 둘째, 투자가 감소하면 자본수요가 줄어들어 자본가격이 하락한다. 고학력노동의 상대가격이 상승하여 고학력노동 수요가 감소한다. 이에 따라 보완관계인 저학력노동 수요도 감소하게 되므로 투자촉진정책이 필요하다. 셋째 세계화가 진전될수록 저학력노동의 수요가 감소하므로 저학력노동 고용증 진정책이 필요하다.
