        In the present study, the effects of electrodes type (copper, steel or CFRP) and design (plate or mesh) on electrical stability of conductive cement as exposed to various weathering conditions were investigated. To fabricate these composites, multiwalled carbon nanotube and carbon fiber were added to the cement composites by 0.6 and 0.4% by cement mass. Seven different types of electrodes were embedded to the samples, and their electrical stability was examined during the curing period. In addition, the fabricated samples were exposed to water ingress and cyclic heating conditions. Then, the compressive strength of the samples was evaluated to observe the interfacial bonding between the cement paste and electrodes. Based on the experimental results, it was found that the samples showed different electrical stability even their mix proportion was same. Thus, it can be concluded that the type and design of the electrodes are important in measuring the electrical properties of the conductive cement composites. Specifically, an improved electrical stability of electrodes is required when they are exposed to various weathering conditions.

        Currently various kinds of wheelchair were developed and being sold in medical device market. This research is concerned with designing and making various types of moving and functional power wheelchairs. There are two kinds of general moving type wheelchairs and translational moving type wheelchair using mecanum wheel. Dynamic theory is used to check the motion analysis and safety of wheelchairs. The specific function of wheelchairs is to reach the higher position than the sitting position. And the new way of motion of wheelchair is developed by new type of wheel. This paper proposes the very economical and useful wheelchair model.

        Vegetable seed oils (VSOs) have been extracted and used not only as ingredients in food and as sources of dietary lipids, but also as sources of nutraceuticals used to overcome the various oxidative stresses that contribute to the development of diseases, including cancer and other chronic conditions. The chemical compositions and oxidative stabilities of various VSOs were therefore investigated; samples were stored for 35 d, with each oil having been tested under O2 exposure, sealed from O2 exposure and sealed from O2 exposure while containing O2 scavengers. Oxidative stability was evaluated by peroxide value (POV), p-anisidine value (p-AnV), iodine value (IV), and thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value. Perilla seed and flaxseed oil were mostly composed of linolenic acid (45.5% and 59.7%, respectively), whereas pine seed oil was mostly composed of linoleic acid (48.3%). Meanwhile, camellia seed and olive oils contained 80% oleic acid, which correlated strongly with oxidative stability. The POV, p-AnV, and TBA values were the highest under O2 exposure, and the lowest in the presence of O2 scavengers. These results indicate that VOS oxidative stability depends not only on storage conditions, but on unsaturated fatty acid profiles as well.

        This study aimed to investigate the effect of various emulsifiers on the formation of nanoemulsions and their stability properties. MCT (medium chain triglyceride) nanoemulsions were prepared (10 wt% oil, 10 wt% emulsifiers, 20 mM bis-tris, pH 7) with emulsifier such as Tween 20 (Polyoxyethylene(20) sorbitan monolaurate), Almax 3800 (Sorbitan monooleate), soy lecithin, and SSL (sodium stearoyl lactylate) and changes in fat globule size with respect to storage period and stability properties by Turbiscan were investigated. In case of control nanoemulsion with 10 wt% Tween 20, the initial fat globule size was 89.0 nm and 113.4 nm after 28 day of storage and this large increase (ca. 24 nm) was thought to be caused by Ostwald ripening. When Tween 20 was partially replaced with Almax 3800, lecithin and SSL in nanoemulsions, their physicochemical properties (i.e., fat globule size and stability) were changed accordingly. In general, the intial fat globule size was decreased with increasing the concentration of the emulsifiers and the stability against Ostwald ripening increased. The most stable nanoemulsions against Ostwald ripening could be prepared with emulsifiers of Tween 20 and Almax 3800 or lecithin in the ratio of 6:4 (wt%), which was verified with Ostwald ripening rate (ω). In addition, the emulsion stability by Turbiscan was observed to be consistent with results of changes in fat globule size with storage period.

        This study was carried out to investigate the possibility of solid particles as a stabilizing agent instead of surfactant for preparing emulsions in the cosmetics. The type of emulsions stabilized by solid particles was dependent on wettability of the particles for water and oil. The optimal conditions of emulsions stabilized by solid particles were determined with ratio of water and oil phase, polarity of oils and amount of stabilizers. In the foundation appling the optimal condition of emulsions stabilized by solid particles without surfactant, the stable emulsion type foundation was successfully prepared. As a result, this work indicates that emulsions stabilized by solid particles can be applied to make-up cosmetics.

        약과 반죽시 참기름 대용으로 쇼트닝을 이용할 목적으로 쇼트닝의 혼합비율을 달리하여(참기름 100%, 참기름 75%+쇼트닝 25%, 참기름 50%+쇼트닝 50%, 쇼트닝 100%) 약과를 제조하고, 약과 유지의 지방산 조성, 유지함량, 원료유지의 잔존율, 저장 중의 유지산패도(산가, 과산화물가, 카르보닐가)를 측정하여 쇼트닝 약과의 유지안정성을 비교 분석한 결과 다음과 같았다. 1. 약과 반죽의 유지 함량은 9.33%였으나, 튀김 후 시료 구별 약과의 유지함량은 25.20-29.12%로서 아주 높았다. 이들 약과의 유지 구성은 반죽에 첨가되었던 원료유지와 튀김에 사용된 튀김유(대두유)의 비율이 각각 16-10%와 84-90%로서 튀김유가 대부분을 차지하였다. 2. 모든 약과의 지방산 조성은 쇼트닝의 첨가수준에 관계 없이 시료구간에 거의 유사하여 linoleic acid 49.71-51.27%, oleic acid 26.05-26.77%, palmitic acid 10.07-11.71%, linolenic acid 5.51-5.72% stearic acid 4.51-4.68%였으며, 이것은 튀김유(대두유)의 지방산 조성과 유사하였다. 3. 쇼트닝 첨가에 따른 약과의 저장중 산가, 과산화물가, 카르보닐가의 변화는 쇼트닝 첨가가 산가의 증가를 다소 지연시켰으나 과산화물가와 카르보닐가는 시료구간에 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 약과 제조시에 반죽에 첨가되는 유지의 지방산 조성이 크게 다르더라도 약과의 유지 산패도는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이것은 튀김 과정 중 튀김유가 약과내로 다량 흡유되어 약과반죽의 원료유지보다도 큰 영향을 준 것으로 생각된다. 따라서 쇼트닝은 약과 반죽에 참기름 대용으로 사용될경우 약과의 유지 산패 면에서는 참기름 100% 약과와 차이가 없어 약과 제조시 참기름 대체효과가 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        In order to improve the thermal stability of PAN-based electrospun fibers, AP-PER-MEL and TiO2 were added in to the fibers as additives. The polymer composite with uniformly mixed additional agents was obtained. In case of non-treated sample, the fibers were burn off completely with high rate within 620℃. But in case of treated samples (EF-M and EF-MT), it is sure that the thermal stability was improved by studying TGA data and ISO flammability test about 20 and 30%, respectively. A synergy effect of adding two kinds of agents (AP-PER-MEL and TiO2) into PAN-based electrospun fibers was confirmed. Through SEM images, it is confirmed that the fiber shape can be kept even after addition of agents (AP-PER-MEL and TiO2). Finally the thermal stability of fibers was largely developed with keeping the nature of PAN-based fibers effectively.

        본 연구에서는 파이토케미컬 펩타이드 유도체를 포함하는 니오좀 및 리포좀 제형의 안정성을 조사하였 다. 여러 가지 조건에서 레시틴 혹은 계면활성제를 이용하여 제조된 리포좀 중에서 sodium palmitoyl sarcosinate와 마카다미아넛 오일을 이용한 니오좀의 안정성이 제일 우수하였다. 파이토케미컬 펩타이드 함유 니오좀 (N9)의 형태는 TEM으로 확인하였으며, 입자크기는 95.7 nm로 관찰되었다. N9의 안정성은 Turbiscan 결과 (0°와 45°)와 제타포텐셜(-78.19 mV)로 확인하였다. N9의 펩타이드 봉입률은 BCA assay 결과 65.2%로 관찰되었다.

        w/o 에멀젼은 내수성이 뛰어나고 보습 효과를 오랫동안 지속시킬 수 있으므로 화장품에 많이 사용하지만 안정도가 좋지 않기 때문에 안정한 w/o 에멀젼을 만들기 위해서는 전해질의 농도, 오일의 극성 정도, 수상의 비율, 유화제의 농도 등을 조절하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 안정도에 영향을 주는 여러 가지 요소 중에서 유화제의 구조에 따라 유화가능여부와 안정도가 어떻게 달라지는지에 초점을 맞추고, 유화제를 구조적으로 polyglyceryl ester 계열, silicone 계열,sugar 계열 유화제 등으로 나누어서 실험을 진행하였다. 또한 유상에 사용되는 오일의 실리콘 함량을 다르게 하여 유화제의 유화 능력을 검토하였다. 실험 결과를 참고하여 유화제에 따른 에멀젼의 입자, 점도의 경시 변화 등의 w/o 에멀젼의 특성을 찾아내고, 여러 조건에서 에멀젼의 안정도를 관찰하였다.

        Due to the fact that tocopherols and tocotrienols have antioxidant and anticancer properties, the commercial utilization of unsaponifiable fractions in rice bran is increasing. These nutraceutical compounds, however, are fairly unstable and readily break down when exposed to oxygen or lighting conditions. To compare the relative sensitivity of vit E isomers to heat and oxygen, concentrated unsaponifiable fractions extracted from crude rice bran oil were exposed to various temperature, oxygen (nitrogen-balanced), and bathing solvent conditions and resultant concentration changes in α- and γ-tocopherols (T) and tocotrienols (T3) were evaluated. Each isomer exhibited different heat stability. Among them, α-T3 degraded more rapidly compared to other vit E isomers while α-T was the most stable isomer. Oxygen level also showed significant impact on each isomer's stability where severe reductions of γ-T (by 20%) and γ-T3 (by 29%) were observed under 2% oxygen conditions, while under 0% oxygen conditions no degradation could be observed even after exposure to 95℃ for 4 hours. When various blending solvents were mixed with concentrated unsaponifiable fractions, organic solvents such as isooctane and hexane were more effective in maintaining the stability of γ- T3 compared to edible oils, among which com oil was more efficient than soybean and rice bran oils.

        본 연구에서는 풍하중 설계 기준에 따른 50톤급 컨테이너 크레인의 안정성을 비교·분석하였다. '항만시설장비기준 /크레인강 구조부분 설계 기준(KS A 1627)'과 건설교통부의 '건축물하중기준'에 의거한 풍하중이 산정되었으며, 이리한 풍하중이 컨테이너 크레인에 작용할때, 컨테이너 크레인의 각 지지점에서 발생돠는 반력을 분석함으로써 구조적 안정성을 비교·평가하였다. 연구결과. 컨테이너 크레인의 설계 풍하중 산정 시 설계풍속의 명확한 정의가 필요하고, 컨테이너 크레인의 구조 안정성 분석을 위하여 인장력 평가와 지반 안정성을 고려하기 위한 최대 압축력 검토의 필요성을 확인하였다.
