This paper is based on the presentation I made for the online conference as part of Peace Talks series in Paris, June 10, 2021 and as a follow up to the 2021 World Peace Island Forum: 6+1 Culture Forum in Jeju. A blending conference on Education, Peace, Sustainable Development and process of designation of Jeju 4.3 Victim Records as UNESCO World Program of Memory MoW. This is constructed from my perspective as Doctor in anglophone studies and gender and development studies, main IFBPW representative to UNESCO, member of the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee and the CCNGO-Education2030 coordination group, UNESCO key mechanism for reflection, dialogue and partnerships for the implementation of SDG4.

As interest in the sustainable fashion industry continues to increase along with climate issues, it is necessary to identify research trends in sustainable fashion and seek new development directions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze research trends on sustainable fashion. For this purpose, related papers were collected from the KCI (Korean Citation Index) and Scopus, and 340 articles were used for the study. The collected data went through data transformation, data preprocessing, topic modeling analysis, core topic derivation, and visualization through a Python algorithm. A total of eight topics were obtained from the comprehensive analysis: consumer clothing consumption behavior and environment, upcycle product development, product types by environmental approach, ESG business activities, materials and material development, process-based approach, lifestyle and consumer experience, and brand strategy. Topics were related to consumption, production, and education of sustainable fashion, respectively. KCI analysis results and Scopus analysis results derived eight topics but showed differences from the comprehensive analysis results. This study provides primary data for exploring various themes of sustainable fashion. It is significant in that the data were analyzed based on probability using a research method that excluded the subjective value of the researcher. It is recommended that follow-up studies be conducted to examine social trends.

한국선교는 한국교회 성장에 힘입었고, 한국교회는 한국경제의 성장과 무관하다고 볼 수 없다. 1990년대 한국선교가 양적으로 급성장 하면서 선교 대국으로 인정받았지만, 질적으로는 성숙단계에 이르렀다 고 보기 어렵다. 1970년대 한국경제는 빠르게 선진국을 쫓아가던 방식에서 이제는 선진국으로 도약하였고, 전 세계가 한국의 방식과 문화에 대해 주목하는 시대를 살고 있다. 한국은 4차 산업혁명의 시대에 국가와 모든 산업 분야에서 전략적인 대응을 하고 있다. 한국교회는 규모 면에서 세계에서 큰 교회로 성장하였지만, 한국선교 전략은 현장 에 맞는 선교 신학을 세우기보다 한국 목회 방식을 이식하려고 하고, 협업이 부족하고 건물과 부동산에 메인 선교에서 크게 벗어나지 못하고 있다. 최근 한국 교세의 약화, 선교사 비자발적 철수, 선교사 협업 플랫폼, 멤버 케어와 신뢰도 향상 등 뉴노멀 시대 속에서 한국선교에 직면한 도전과 과제를 두고 지속 가능한 선교를 이루기 위한 한국선교 전략을 고찰하고자 한다.

집약적 농업시스템으로 특징되는 관행농업은 생산성 증대를 이루었으나, 토질과 수질의 악화 등 농업환경을 오염시키며 농업생태계에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이 연구의 목적은 농업인의 지속가능농업에 대한 관점과 태도를 파악하고, 새로운 영농방식 실천에 장애가 되는 경제적 요인을 분석하는 데 있다. 아울러 농업인들이 인식하는 경제적 장애요인들에 영향을 미치는 변수들을 실증적으로 추적하는 데 연구의 추가적인 목적이 있다. 농업인들은 지속가능농업이 당면한 가장 중요한 문제로 수익성 유지를 지적하면서 이를 최우선적으로 중점을 두고 해결할 것을 주문하였다. 지속가능농업 채택률을 향상시키기 위해서 경제적 동기와 인센티브의 중요성을 강조하였으며, 과거에 비해 향후 지속가능성을 높게 전망했다. 관행농업인이거나 관행농업에서 지속가능농업으로 전환중인 농업인, 그리고 과거에 지속가능농업을 들어 본 적이 있는 농업인이 주목하는 경제적 장애요인은 관행농업에서 지속가능농업으로 전환 시 초래되는 비용으로 나타났다. 지속가능농업 시스템이 구축되었을 때, 효과적이고 효율적인 운영을 위해 농업인이 주도해야 한다고 인식하는 농업인에게는 새로운 영농방식의 불확실성은 큰 장애가 되지 않은 것으로 분석되었다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the sustainable practices of nutrition science teachers and dietitians working in school food service operations, and identify the social and psychological factors which affect the overall efficacy of the system. The research model was constructed based on the Extended Theory of Planned Behavior (ETPB) in order to analyze how individual motivation affects the sustainable practices of nutrition science teachers and dietitians. The data were collected through e-mail and postal mail from nutrition science teachers and dietitians all across Korea, and self-administered surveys were conducted. SPSS and AMOS programs were used for statistical analysis. First, the sustainable practices of nutrition science teachers and dietitians were analyzed in 6 different categories. Second, the significant pathways were 6 out of 9 in the ETPB model. Sustainable food service practices in school can contribute to the formation of more a sustainable culture, such as through the encouragement of more healthy eating habits, and higher level of environmental awareness and community awareness. The factors influencing these practices can be applied to the design of improvement programs aimed at increasing sustainable practices.

In this study, we report a controlled one-pot green synthesis of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) via pyrolysis of sustainable agriculture waste (chickpea peel) at 400 °C in aqueous medium. These MWCNTs demonstrated 7.0 nm diameter, 0.28 nm graphitic spacing with carbonyl, hydroxyl, and carboxylic acid functionality. The D band (presence of sp3 defects) and G band ( E2g mode of graphite) at 1350 cm−1 and 1580 cm−1 originated in Raman spectrum, respectively. The prepared MWCNTs showed blue fluorescence with 10% fluorescence quantum yield in aqueous medium. The MWCNTs showed triple exponential decay characteristics with an average fluorescence lifetime of 4.7 ns. The synthesized MWCNTs revealed a consistent fluorescence in the cytoplasm of 22RV1 human prostate carcinoma cell line without exerting any sign of cytotoxicity. The MWCNTs also exhibited remarkable cytocompatibility in human immortalized prostate epithelial RWPE1 cells.

This study examines the influence of self-identity on sustainable consumer behavior in the context of air traveling and the moderating effect of advertisement addressing these identities. Drawing on the flyers’ dilemma, the identity-based motivation theory and cognitive dissonance theory hypotheses are tested by the means of a scenario-based online experiment.

This study examines new value proposition presented in promoting environment-friendly residential facility. Relationship among changes in social background, consumers’ intention/ value and solar PV systems introduction is evaluated over the last decade since before the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Professional sport leagues are both commercial products and public products. As China’s sports leagues transition from state-governed properties to a more commercial model, professional sports are facing a crucial turning point on balancing stakeholders pertaining to its commercial/market value and social value. How to develop a sustainable business and management model of professional sports teams, fitting Chinese culture and the calls on free economy, has become a major challenge to scholars, practitioners and entrepreneurs in China’s sport industry. Every organisation has its relationships with many groups ("stakeholders") that affect and are affected by its decisions, which are dynamic in a constantly changing world. Stakeholder theory was developed through concerns regarding the nature of these relationships in terms of both processes and outcomes for both organisation and stakeholders, and the changing nature of the environment.

The purpose of this study was to analyze trends in sustainable fashion research and to guide its the development by examining previous research projects conducted by the UK Centre for Sustainable Fashion. A literature review and case studies were conducted from which the following results were identified. It was shown that the CSF has cooperated with fashion, arts and technology businesses and other external organizations. The CSF has contributed to improving the economic durability of the fashion industry, the convergence of both local and the international fashion communities, and the development of cultural sustainability. Moreover, it incorporates various academic fields into its research and has developed advanced researching methods for sustainable fashion. The CSF has embraced the new perspectives by utilizing student ideas for the development of sustainable fashion. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the CSF studied the sustainability of fashion from a more organic perspective through multidisciplinary research. Second, it has expanded the possibility of sustainable fashion research through research formats, research fields and research operations. Finally, it has evoked values and responsibilities that the fashion industry should pursue in modern society and has become an exemplary case of sustainable fashion research, providing creative studies for sustainable fashion research in the future.

That language plays a pivotal and integral role in making political processes participatory and inclusive, and socioeconomic development sustainable has been commonsensically presumed to be a well-established fact. Language is not simply a means of mutual communication, but also a potent tool for social inclusion and exclusion, resulting in having both a positive and negative social impact. In this sense the use of African languages in all social domains for making sure of the concretization of inclusive political participation and representation as well as sustainable socioeconomic development. Despite being considered to be an exemplary country that has pursued an active endoglosic language policy, Tanzania has an uphill task in facilitating participatory democracy and sustainable socioeconomic development by virtue of the ease of language understanding with which people can make them understood in everyday life. What is imperatively needed in making participatory democracy and sustainable socioeconomic development possible and feasible is a strong political will and its implementation. In tandem with a strong political will and its implementation in the conduct of national affairs, a ceaseless and concerted effort needs to be made with a view to capacitating Swahili to make a meaningful contribution to participatory democracy and sustainable socioeconomic development. Furthermore, corpus planning that refers to an institutional effort for creating standards for Swahili has to be done.

Maritime sector has played a critical role for the growth and development of the Malaysia in facilitating global trade. Malaysia rely on the sector for the import and export of goods as around 90% of the nation trade is carried through maritime transportation. Although there are increasing in trade performance, Malaysian maritime industry is still facing a hard times to safeguard Malaysia's economic interests and to retain its competitive advantage as a leading maritime nation. Therefore, this paper aims to identify, analyses and evaluate the factors that influencing Malaysian maritime industry in remaining sustainable in global trade. In order to explain how the influencing factors affect the Malaysian maritime industry, a systematic hierarchical structure was developed. Then, by employed Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique, the priorities among various criteria was determined through the judgments of experts using a set of scales. The results of this study will assist the shipping entities to cope with those challenges and for Malaysia maritime sector to remain a key enabler of international trade.
