Background: Stroke patients commonly suffer from balance impairments that limit functional activities, such as walking difficulties. Robot-assisted gait training is gaining attention as an effective rehabilitation strategy for balance and gait in stroke rehabilitation. Objects: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of progressive velocity robot-assisted gait training (PRG) on balance and gait abilities in stroke patients. Methods: All subjects were randomly divided into three groups: PRG (n = 12); comfortable speed robot-assisted gait training (CRG) (n = 12); and control group (n = 16). Subjects in PRG and CRG underwent robot-assisted gait training for 30 minutes, three times a week for six weeks. And the control group performed overground gait training using a treadmill at the same frequency and for the same amount of time as the experimental group. All Subjects were assessed for muscle strength, balance, gait and motor function pre- and post-intervention. Results: The study results showed that all subjects showed significant differences in all measurements post-intervention (p < 0.05). Additionally, PRG was found to significantly improve in Medical Research Council (MRC) and Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) compared to CRG, and CRG showed significant differences compared to the control group in MRC, Berg Balance Scale (BBS) and Timed Up and Go test (TUG) (p < 0.05). PRG exhibited significant differences in all areas in the between-group comparison with the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that PRG may be effective strategy to improve balance and gait ability for with stroke.
본 논문은 아프리카 마다가스카르의 의료 인력 부족과 기본 외과 수술 접근성의 제약 문제를 해결하기 위해 시행된 지구병원 기본 외과 의사 양성 프로그램을 소개한다. 2017년부터 기획되어 2023~2024년 실행된 본 사업은 한국의 정부 및 비정부 기관 (KOICA, AFF, WELL International, 한국누가회 등)과 마다가스카르 보건부 및 국립보건원 (INSPC)의 협력으로 추진되었다. 마다가스카르 정부 소속 현지 공무원 의사 20명을 선발해 2년간 7가지 핵심 외과술기 중심의 훈련을 시행하고, 이후 5년간 비수도권 지구병원에 배치함으로써 약 500만 명의 주민에게 외과 진료 접근성을 제공하였다. 마다가스카르 정부의 급여 지원과 제도화 의지는 이 프로그램의 효과 및 지속 가능성을 보여주는 성과이다. 본 프로그램은 선교적 가치에 기반한 현지인 역량 강화형 의료선교 모델로, 향후 사업의 확대와 유사한 환경의 저개발국에서 적용 가능한 보건의료 인력개발 전략의 하나로서 그 가능성과 의의를 가진다.
Background: The progressive digitalization of contemporary life, coupled with prolonged sedentary behavior, has contributed to the widespread occurrence of forward head posture (FHP) in the general population. Among the various exercise interventions aimed at correcting FHP, stretching exercises and proprioceptive training have garnered significant attention. Objectives: To investigate the effects of stretching exercises and proprioceptive training on craniovertebral angle (CVA), an indicator of forward head posture (FHP), and on the muscle tone of the suboccipital muscles. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: Thirty participants were randomly assigned to either the stretching exercise group (n=15) or the proprioceptive training group (n=15), and each group underwent intervention three times per week for six weeks. CVA and muscle tone of the suboccipital muscles were measured before and after the six-week intervention, and the results were statistically analyzed for comparison. Results: Both groups showed a significant increase in CVA after the intervention (P<.05), with no significant difference between the groups. The muscle tone of the suboccipital muscles did not show statistically significant changes either within or between the groups. Conclusion: Six weeks of stretching exercise and proprioceptive training both resulted in a significant increase in CVA, demonstrating that both interventions are effective in improving FHP. However, neither intervention produced significant changes in the muscle tone of the suboccipital muscles.
본 연구는 간호대학생의 간호전문직 자아개념, 임상실습 교육환경, 임상실습 시 경험한 무례함, 진로정체감 정도를 파악하고, 진로정체감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. G 광역시 소재 2개 대학 간호학과 3, 4학년을 대상자로 선정했다. SPSS 27.0 프로그램으로 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression으로 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 간호전 문직 자아개념 및 임상실습 교육환경은 진로정체감과 양의 상관관계가 있었고, 임상실습 시 경험한 무례함 은 진로정체감과 음의 상관관계가 있었다. 진로정체감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 간호전문직 자아개념, 임상 실습 교육환경, 무례함, 전공만족도, 임상실습만족도였으며 설명력은 31.7%였다. 따라서 간호대학생의 진 로정체감 향상을 위해 간호전문직 자아개념 강화와 질 높은 실습 환경 조성, 무례함 예방 및 심리적 지지 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.
케미컬 탱커의 화물 운용은 높은 전문성이 요구되기 때문에 국제해사기구는 상급 해기사에게 직무교육에서 필수 역량을 갖출 것을 요구하고 있다. 2023년 10월 선박직원법 개정으로 케미컬 탱커 승무 경력이 없는 대상자도 교육과정을 이수할 수 있게 됨에 따라, 현 재 기존의 승무 경력자와 무경력자가 동일한 교육과정을 함께 이수하는 문제가 발생하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 교육환경에서 교육 대 상자가 인식하는 교육 품질을 교육내용의 이해도, 교육내용의 중요도, 교육과정의 만족도로 구성하여 설문조사를 실시하였고, 교육의 성 취도인 평가점수와의 관계를 다중회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 교육 대상자는 교육내용의 중요도, 교육과정의 만족도, 교육내 용의 이해도 순으로 중요하게 인식하고 있으며 교육 성취도는 교육내용의 이해도, 교육내용의 중요도, 교육과정의 만족도 순으로 증가하 는 영향력을 보였다. 직무교육의 교육 품질과 교육 성취도를 향상하기 위해서는 실무적인 교육내용으로 전체적인 이해도가 요구되는 문 제해결 능력을 높이는 방안이 효과적일 것이다. 본 연구는 케미컬 탱커 직무교육 대상자에게 빠른 친숙화와 역량 강화를 통해 안전한 화 물취급과 사고 예방에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.
Purpose This study aimed to develop and evaluate a simulation-based autotransfusion device training program to enhance the clinical performance, performance confidence, and educational satisfaction of post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) nurses. Methods: A single-group pretestposttest study was conducted with 30 PACU nurses. The program, based on the ADDIE model, included orientation, simulation training, and debriefing. Data were collected using validated tools before and after the program and analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results: Clinical performance improved from a median of 30.00 to 43.00 (Z =−4.78, p < .001). Performance confidence increased from 31.00 to 47.50 (Z =−4.71, p < .001), while educational satisfaction rose from 26.00 to 40.00 (Z =−4.73, p < .001). Conclusions: The simulation-based program effectively enhanced the clinical performance, performance confidence, and education satisfaction of PACU nurses. These findings underscore the value of simulation-based training for enhancing nurses’ competence in using complex, high-risk medical devices.
This study examines a digital training model for the professional development of French language educators, focusing on module-based collaborative learning. It explores the theoretical foundations of teacher development, the concept and practice of digital training, and the educational implications of modular learning design. The case study analyzes a digital training program jointly operated by FEI and CNED in July 2020, which involved over 24,000 educators from 162 countries. Comprising eight modules, the program integrated digital content, real-time forums, and collaborative projects. Based on participant experiences, this study identifies key characteristics of digital training and essential factors for enhancing teacher competencies. Findings suggest that digital training fosters teachers’ digital skills and practical application while yielding positive outcomes in gamification strategies and sustainable online training models. However, challenges such as technological accessibility gaps, imbalances in program design, and cultural differences persist. To address these, the study proposes adopting a hybrid education model, strengthening practice-oriented module design, and expanding collaborative learning strategies to support an effective and sustainable training framework in the digital era.
Purpose: This study aimed to develop and evaluate a simulation-based nursing education program for respiratory emergencies in critically ill, extremely low birth weight infants (ELBWIs). Methods: A single-arm quasi-experimental study was conducted with 32 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurses. The program was developed systematically using the ADDIE model, incorporating needs assessment, real-case scenario development, and pilot testing. Data were collected before and after the intervention and were analyzed using paired and independent t-tests, as well as a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with Scheffé post-hoc tests. Results: The results showed statistically significant improvements in participants’ problemsolving ability (t = -3.49, p = .001), clinical performance confidence (t = -4.64, p < .001), and overall clinical performance competency (t = -13.79, p < .001) following the training. The clinical relevance and feasibility of the program were supported by pilot testing and positive evaluations of the practicality and educational usefulness of the simulation scenarios. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the simulation-based program was effective in enhancing NICU nurses’ clinical competence in managing respiratory emergencies in ELBWIs and can be used as a practical alternative to traditional on-the-job training.
목적 : 본 연구는 지역사회 만성 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 원격동작관찰훈련이 상지 기능과 근 활성도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 연구방법 : 2023년 8월부터 2024년 2월까지 대전광역시 소재의 재활병원에서 외래재활을 받지 않고 다른 기관에서도 치료를 계획하지 않은 대상자 6명을 실험군으로, 병원 내에서 외래재활치료를 받는 대상자 5명을 대조군으로 선정하였다. 실험군은 원격재활을 기반으로 한 원격동작관찰훈련을 하였고, 대조군은 실험군과 동일한 과제를 수행하는 외래재활치료를 진행하였다. 치료에 대한 중재는 1일 1회 30분, 주 3회, 총 4주간 실시하였고, 치료 중재 전과 후의 상지 기능을 측정하기 위해 ARAT 평가척도(Action Research Arm Test)와 MFT 평가척도(Manual Function Test)를 사용하였고, 근 활성도를 평가하기 위해 표면 근활성도 평가척도인 sEMG (Surface Electromyography)를 사용하였다. 결과 : 두 집단 각각의 중재 전과 후 결과 상지기능과 근 활성도 일부 항목에서 유의한 차이를 보였으며(p < 0.05), 중재 후 두 집단 간에서는 상지기능과 근 활성도에서 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다(p < 0.05). 결론 : 본 연구에서의 결과로 원격동작관찰훈련이 지역사회 만성 뇌졸중 환자에게 외래재활치료와 유사하게 기능 향상을 시킬 수 있는 중재방법이자, 접근성과 경제적인 이점이 있어 지역사회 만성 뇌졸중 환자에게는 효율적인 방법으로 제시될 수 있다.
This study was attempted to solve the problem that the current training is not consistent with the actual working environment of the fishing vessel, even though the advanced fire extinguishing training for international fishing vessels is mandatory. As a result of the survey, the lack of timely use of fire extinguishing equipment and the difficulty of organizing the fire extinguishing organization were found, and the main problems were analyzed as low understanding of fixed fire extinguishing facilities, low awareness of fire-related laws and regulations, and inefficiency of fire extinguishing training. It was found that the current Seafarers Act does not clearly define the roles and responsibilities of advanced fire extinguishers, and lacks specific standards for designated educational institutions, so there is a problem that the accuracy and reliability of the training contents with the STCW-F Convention and STCW Convention are inconsistent. In addition, it has been confirmed that the fire extinguishing organization, internal communication, and fire extinguishing training in ships, as stipulated in international agreements, are not properly reflected in the domestic curriculum. In particular, the current training consists of general contents that do not take into account the characteristics of fishing vessels, so there is a lack of practical emergency response fire extinguishing training manuals. Therefore, this study proposes the development of customized training content for fishing vessels considering the special working environment and risk factors of fishing vessels based on international agreements, and emphasizes the need for policy support, such as strengthening participation of fishing vessels in education and training, and establishing a legal basis for the operation of emergency fire extinguishing organizations.
Background: Balance disorder is a prevalent clinical manifestation following stroke, often causing considerable discomfort and gait disability. Various water-based therapeutic approaches have been developed to address balance and gait disorder. Objects: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of water-based gait training using auditory stimulation on balance and gait abilities in stroke patients. Methods: All subjects were randomly divided into three groups: water-based gait training using auditory stimulation group (WAG) (n = 24), water-based gait training group (WG) (n = 24), and control group (n = 22). Subjects in WAG and WG underwent water-based gait training for 30 minutes, 3 times a week for 6 weeks. All Subjects were assessed for muscle strength, balance, gait, motor function, and activity of daily living pre- and post-intervention. Results: Results showed that all outcome measures significantly improved post-intervention (p < 0.05). Additionally, WAG was found to significantly improve in Medical Research Council (MRC), Berg Balance Scale (BBS), and Timed Up and Go (TUG) test compared to WG, and WG showed significant differences compared to the control group in MRC and Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) (p < 0.05). WAG exhibited significant differences in all areas except Modified Bathel Index (MBI) in the between-group comparison with the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that water-based gait training using auditory stimulation may be effective strategy to improve muscle strength, balance and gait ability for with stroke.
본 연구는 불규칙한 파도 환경에서 선박의 횡동요 운동 특성을 토대로 내항성능 및 횡동요 주기 변화를 분석하여 실해역 운항 안전성을 평가하였다. 총톤수 3,000톤급과 9,000톤급 실습선을 대상으로 다양한 전진 속도, 파랑과의 만남각 및 유의파고 조건에서 선체 운동응답을 수치계산하였다. 불규칙파 중 선수사파 또는 선미사파 방향으로 운항하면 횡동요 운동진폭을 감소시킬수 있으며, 선미사파 (30도) 방향에서의 고속 운항은 횡동요 평균주기가 길어지기 때문에 속도를 10노트 이하로 감속하거나 선수사파 방향으로 침로를 변경하 여 운항하는 것이 안전성을 높이는 방법인 것으로 검토되었다. 본 연구는 실해역 조건에서의 내항성능을 종합적으로 평가하였으며, 안전 한 선박 운항 계획 및 실행에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Background: Prolonged use of computers and mobile devices has contributed to postural abnormalities such as Rounded Shoulder Posture (RSP), which is characterized by muscle imbalances that can lead to pain and functional limitations. Correcting these imbalances through targeted stretching and strengthening exercises was expected to help improve postural alignment and muscle function. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effects of a six-week integrated exercise program targeting the pectoralis minor (PM), upper trapezius (UT), and lower trapezius (LT) on postural alignment and muscle activation in female adults with RSP. Design: Single-group pre-post test study. Methods: Eighteen female university students (aged 20–22 years) with RSP participated in a six-week intervention consisting of PM stretching, UT stretching, and LT strengthening exercises. RSP severity was assessed using acromion-to-ground distance, PM length was measured with a caliper, and surface electromyography (sEMG) was used to evaluate UT and LT muscle activity. Normality was verified using the Shapiro-Wilk test, and paired t-tests were conducted for statistical analysis (α=0.05). Results: After the intervention, significant improvements were observed in all measured variables. Acromion-to-ground distance decreased (P<0.001), PM length increased (P<0.001), UT activation decreased (P<0.01), and LT activation increased (P<0.01). Conclusion: The six-week integrated exercise program effectively improved postural alignment and muscle activation in women with RSP by addressing muscle shortening, overactivity, and weakness. These findings suggest that combined stretching and strengthening exercises can serve as a practical and effective approach for RSP correction. Future studies with longer durations and diverse populations are recommended to further validate these results and enhance clinical applicability.
본 연구는 해외 단기 연수 프로그램에 참여한 간호대학생들의 연수 경 험과 그들이 인식하는 교육적 효과를 탐색하고, 이를 바탕으로 해외 단 기 연수 프로그램이 나아가야 할 방향을 조명하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 해외 단기 연수에 참여한 간호대학생들을 대상으로 포커스 그룹 인 터뷰와 개별 인터뷰를 병행하였다. 포커스 그룹 인터뷰는 4명의 학생으 로 구성된 그룹을 대상으로 진행되었으며, 모든 인터뷰는 반구조화된 질 문을 기반으로 진행되었으며, 참여자들의 자유로운 발화를 유도하여 그 들의 경험을 심층적으로 탐색하였다. 연구 결과, 총 6개의 주제와 17개 의 의미가 도출되었다. 학생들은 해외에서의 전공 연수에 대한 기대감과 계획적인 준비 과정을 통해 더 넓은 세상을 바라보게 되었으나, 영어 실 력 부족으로 인해 원활한 의사소통에 어려움을 겪으며 아쉬움을 느꼈다. 또한, 한국에서의 바쁜 학업과 비교하여 자유롭고 여유로운 현지 학생들 의 생활 방식에 부러움을 느끼고, 다양한 문화 체험을 통해 오랜만에 여 유를 즐길 수 있었다. 이번 연수를 통해 학생들은 자신의 새로운 가능성 을 발견하고, 더 나은 세상을 향해 나아가고자 하는 열망이 강하게 형성 되었으며, 이는 삶에 대한 태도의 변화를 유발하고 새로운 목표 설정으 로 이어졌다. 또한, 현지인들의 친절함과 순수함을 경험하면서 문화적 차 이를 이해하고 수용하는 태도를 함양하는 계기가 되었다. 본 연구 결과 를 종합해 볼 때, 해외 단기 연수 프로그램은 학생들에게 긍정적인 변화 를 유도하는 중요한 경험으로 작용하며, 열망, 동기부여, 자신감 향상 등 의 측면에서 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
The Safe Korea Training is a national-level training program that has been conducted since 2005 to create a safe Korea by preventing various disasters and minimizing the damage in the event of a disaster, and it has contributed a lot to the safety of Korea. However, there are still some problems that need to be solved, and one of the most urgent problems is that the Safe Korea Training is focused on efficient response measures in the event of a disaster, and the evaluation of the Training is limited to the evaluation of the training organization, which does not meet the main purpose of the Safe Korea drill to prevent various disasters. Therefore, in order to achieve the purpose of preventing various disasters, it is necessary to share the results and evaluations of the drill with other relevant public institutions other than the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in order to prevent various risk factors recognized during the drill in advance, and to establish a network that can lead to legislation so that the problems recognized during the drill are not repeated. By doing so, it is hoped that the Safe Korea Training will fulfill its purpose and lead to a truly safe Korea.
