In this paper, seismic performance evaluation using 3D modeling of structural analysis was carried out to confirm and enhance the seismic performance of modular houses through the seismic performance evaluation scheme. Based on the results, the performance of structural members and joints in the modular house was investigated.

In this study, the seismic performance of RC frames reinforced with steel plate concrete was conducted by applying steel plate concrete into the existing RC frame and RC frame in order to evaluate the seismic reinforcement effect of steel plate concrete. The results showed that the reinforced specimen with steel plate concrete showed higher strength than the existing RC frame specimen, and the time of yield was also measured later. Therefore, sufficient seismic reinforcement effect can be expected through steel plate concrete.

The seismic performance evaluation of domestic thermal power generation facilities is not significant compared to its importance. Therefore, in this study, seismic performance evaluation of the chimney structure responsible for the exhaust function in the thermal power plant was performed using Abaqus, a finite element analysis program. As a result, we could obtain the flexural strength curves of concrete compressive failure and relative displacement of stack.

It is need to be considering the boundary condition by concrete-anchor connection. In this case study, seismic category I class electrical equipment in NPP was manufactured and a modal testing was performed using an impact hammer to measure the dynamic characteristics. In the case of electrical cabinets, various safety related components are mounted in the internal frame. Therefore, FEM model that appropriately reflects the local mode is required. To reflect both global and local mode to FEM model, modal testing should be carried out. For implementing the global mode, accelerometers were installed at twenty-eight points of the outline plate edge, and responses for local mode were measured at seven crucial points and compared those results.

Occurring economic loss of economics by the earthquake, such as Gyeongju and Pohang in Korea, interest in seismic stability of facilities is increasing. Electrical Cabinet Structure in Power Plant should be prepared for malfunctions and its structural safety should be ensured as well an earthquake event. The purpose of this investigation is to increase the seismic stability of the cabinet. Through finite elements analysis, dynamic characteristics of the cabinet were identified herein, and time history analysis was performed by converting the design response spectra. In order to improve safety against earthquakes, a variable analysis was conducted to utilize steel dampers for seismic retrofit of the cabinet, and time history analysis results compared with the response of basic and seismic retrofitted cabinets.

In this study, for the rapid transit of urban and metropolitan railways, the installation of passing loop tunnel in the underground section of urban railroads in operation is reviewed. Unlike road tunnels, it is difficult to secure working spaces because the railwau tunnel is very narrow, impossible to bypass, and related facilities such as overhead wire exist. In addition, urban railways have limitations that must be carried out without blocking the existing trains or construction within four hours when the trains are not running. Therefore, in this study, the construction plan of passing loop tunnel during railway operation for the rapid transit was reviewed.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the freeze - thaw behavior of FRP reinforced concrete structures. Under the same conditions, two FRP reinforced beam specimens were made, and one speciemen was subjected to freezing and thawing. Then a four-point bending experiment was conducted. As a result, it was analyzed that the load values of reinforced specimens after freezing and thawing appear less at the same displacement in displacement-load behavior.

In this study, concrete box structure was analyzed for reinforcement of the corner using the proposed pre-flexed steel members, Numerical results confirmed that the proposed reinforcement method can enhance the load capacity of the concrete box structures.

In this study, an experimental evaluation was made on the change of the pull - out performance of BFRP concrete interface after repairing cracks on the lower surface of reinforced concrete by using basalt fiber which is environment friendly and heat - resistant compared to glass fiber. The test standard was ASTM D7522 / D7522M, and the influence factor was considered as the crack thickness. Test results showed that the fracture pattern was the same regardless of the crack thickness and the bond stress was measured similarly.

This paper examined the flexural behavior of section enlargement strengthening columns with prefabricated reinforcement units in the jacket section. The developed strengthening column was particularly effective in enhancing the ductility of the columns.

Smart construction materials have recently been interesting to improve the performance of cement composites and concretes. Especially, no repairing system is required for concrete structures by using self healing concrete, which can close cracks on concrete by itself. Mineral admixtures, capsules and bacteria are the most used for self healing concrete technology. In this study, high strength concrete with mineral admixtures were utilized to develop self healing capacity. Comparison with water flow test and image captures were conducted.

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of microwave on the mechanical properties of epoxy mortar. The setting time, compressive strength and bond strength of epoxy mortar was investigated. The moisture content of the concrete substrate was taken into consideration to assess its effect on the bond between epoxy mortar and concrete. To verify the efficiency of concrete repair, flexural strength of repaired beams was measured. It was observed that microwave can effectively used to cure epoxy mortar and develop adequate strength in shorter time when compared to curing at room temperature.

The strength and durability of PSC sleepers may deteriorate in the long term due to the cracks generated on the concrete surface, and maintenance is required to improve the strength and usability of sleepers and prolong the service life for a certain period. In this paper, flexural strength tests were carried out on rectangular parallelopiped specimens and real cracked PSC sleepers to evaluate the contribution of the flexural performance for the liquid-type reinforcing materials.

In this paper, a shear behavior of RC beam strengthened by basalt FRCM was investigated. The presence of strengthened with Basalt FRCM was considered as an experimental variable. The experimental result show that the maximum load of beam strengthened by basalt FRCM was increased 75.4% compared with that of non-strengthened beam.

Recently, road maintenance is important for road performance and longevity in accordance with the increase of road infrastructure, so research on efficient damage detection has been actively carried out. In this study, we developed a technology to automatically detect the cracks on the highway road surface by using the road surface image of UAV and deep learning based object detection technology, which was applied to the actual highway image to verify its performance.
