Broadband networks are designed to support a wide variety of services with different traffic characteristics and demands for Quality of Services. Bandwidth allocation methods can be classified into two major categories: static and dynamic. In static allocation, bandwidth is allocated only at call setup time and the allocated bandwidth is maintained during a session. In dynamic allocation, the allocated bandwidth is negotiated during a session. The purpose of this paper is to develop policies for deciding and for adjusting the amount of bandwidth requested for a best effort connection over such as ATM networks. This method is to develop such policies that a good trade off between utilization and latency using cell delay variation to the forecast the incoming traffic in the next period. The performances of the different polices are compared by simulations.

현재 우리는 급속한 정보화.세계화 물결의 혼란 속에서 인간이 존엄성과 가치 및 공동체적 삶의 가치를 미처 정리하지 못하고 참다운 삶의 방향 감각을 상실한 채 살아가고 있다. 가치 창조적 삶의 의미를 망각한 우리 사회는 물질만능과 즉흥적이고 쾌락적.감성적인 행동에 의해 지배되고 있으며 이로 인하여 생명의 경시풍조와 인간소외 현상이 만연되어가고 있다. 이러한 가치관의 혼란과 비복지적 현실 가운데 우리는 우리의 삶, 우리의 후손교육, 우리의 가정과 지역사회 이대로 좋은 것인가\ulcorner 라는 자성적 질문과 함께 미래지향적인 삶과 사랑으로 더불어 사는 공동체 사회를 지향하여 온 국민이 더불어 할 일이 또 하나 있음을 깨닫게 된다. 현대인에게 있어서 자원봉사는 선행이 아니라 권리의 행사이다. 왜냐하면 자원봉사를 통하여 어떻게 살아야 할 것인가\ulcorner 라는 근본 물음에 대한 정답을 얻을 수 있기 때문이다. 이러한 시점에서 청소년에 대한 볼런터리즘(voluntarism)교육은 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 1995년 5.13교육 개혁으로 의무화된 중.고등학교 학생들의 자원봉사화동을 재 조명하여 보고, 청소년 문제 해결을 위한 자원봉사 활성화 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

오늘날 기업환경은 고객의 요구에 대응하여 적시에 효율적으로 상품과 서비스를 공급하고 전체비용의 대부분을 차지하는 물류와 재고비용을 줄여 기업의 이윤을 극대화하는 것으로 변화하고 있다. 예전에 기업위주의 시장형성에서 고객위주로 시장이 변화하고 있는 것이다. 이에 따라 기업은 고객의 요구에 능동적으로 대응하기 위하여 리드타임의 단축이 필수적인 요소가 되어가고 있다. 이러한 기업환경에 변화에 따른 대안으로 나온 것이 실시간 제조와 공급사슬망관리(Supply Chain Management : SCM)이다. 본 연구는 실시간 제조를 지원하기 위하여 제조업체와 협력사간의 물류에 있어 Goldratt의 Drunm-Buffer-Rope 스케줄링을 이용하여 물류창고라는 Buffer를 두어 협력사중 재고의 부족현상이 일어날 경우에는 공급체인상의 능력제약자원(Capacity Constraint Resource: CCR)을 찾아 능력제약자원이 되는 협력사에 대하여 생산을 독촉하고 물류창고에서는 부족재고에 대한 불출을 개시하여 재고의 완충을 도모하고자 한다. 제조업체와 협력사간의 정보를 실시간 감시시스템(Real-Time Monitoring System : RTMS)를 응용하여 웹상에서 공유하며, 실시간 거래가 가능토록하는 공급사슬망 구축에 관한 연구와 이를 프로그램 구현을 통해 실제적으로 시험해 보고자 한다.

가상 커뮤니티는 짧은 기간에 많은 사용자들을 불러모으면서 대량의 트래픽을 발생시킬 수 있기 때문에 비즈니스적 기회를 창출할 기회가 빨리 다가온다. 하지만 많은 사용자들을 확보하는 것이 이러한 사용자들을 대상으로 수익모델을 창출하는 것을 의미하지는 않으므로 많은 운영자들이 경제적 면에서 어려움을 겪고 있다. 그래서 가상 커뮤니티에서 수익을 이끌어내기 위해서는 커뮤니티 운영자의 체계적인 경영전략이 뒤따라야 하며, 회원들이 거부감을 느끼지 않도록 자연스럽게 수익모델로 연결시켜야 한다는 힘겨운 과제가 놓여있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 가상 커뮤니티의 전략적 구축, 운영 및 성장 방법에 대해서 분석하고 커뮤니티의 특성에 맞는 다양한 수익모델들을 제시하여 이를 바탕으로 사례에 대한 적용안을 마련해 본다.

This study is to explain the importance and the necessity of virtual cyber-tour in a virtual reality environment, and to present a way of its realization as a mean to surmount the fundamental constraints in current tourism, arising mainly from the individual health, cost, leisure time, and the low perception on tourism culture. This virtual cyber-tour using virtual reality technology will not only provide various indirect tour experiences to the existing tour resources, but also develop a new type of tour system, leading to new worlds which have not been accessible to the Public because of various restrictions coming from the current technology, transportation means, and physical limit's of human body.

The purpose of this study was to reduce the chronical low back pain for the manual material handlers. The objectives of this study was to: (1) examine lifting variables, (2) analyze collected data, and (3) suggest lifting redesign recommendations in workplace. The data were collected in A company, manufactures various paints in Si-Wha industrial complex, Kyunggi-Do. It was found that Sb(horizontal distance), Sc(vertical distance), 54(travelling distance) and Sf(frequency) were significant at the 0.01 level and Sa(weight) was significant at the 0.05 level.

IMF이후 건설 물량 감소에 대비하여 재해율은 증가 추세에 있고, 오히려 재해 강도율은 높아져 중대사고가 많이 발생하고 있는 추세이며, 건설업체에서는 안전관리에 대한 비용을 더욱 아끼려고 하고 있고, 비용 절감을 위해 재해예방을 위한 안전시설 비용이나 안전활동 비용을 투자하지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 노동부와 한국산업안전공단 및 재해예방 인력을 활용하여 안전 순찰 점검활동을 지원함으로서 각종 증대재해 위험요소를 사전에 제거함으로써 재해로 인한 손실을 최소화하여 국가 경제발전에 기여하고자 한다.

지난 10년간의 재해발새 현황을 분석해 보면 규모별로는 300인 미만 중·소규모 사업장에서 전체 재해자의 약 85%가 발생하였으며 특히 전체재해의 약 60% 정도가 50인미만의 소규모 사업장에서 발생하였다. 최근 국내의 가장 큰 경제위기 상황인 IMF 경제위기 이후 안전보건관리 기반이 취약해진 상황에서 최근의 경기회복으로 산업 가동률과 실질 근로 시간이 증가함으로써 산업재해 발생위험이 높아지고 있어 향후 1∼2년 간은 재해가 증가할 가능성이 크다. 그리고 현재 근로자 5인 이상 사업장에 대해서만 산업재해보상보헙법이 의무가입으로 되어있으나, 2000년 7월부터 5인 미만의 영세사업장에 대해서도 산재보험이 확대적용 됨으로써 산업안전보건 행정대상이 지금보다 사업장수는 10배, 근로자수는 50%이상 확대될 전망이다. 산재보험서비스가 5인 미만 사업장까지 확대되고 산업구조의 변화로 중·소규모 사업장 수가 증가될 것으로 전망되나, 중·소규모 사업장은 안전보건관리 능력이 부족해 재해자가 계속 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있으므로 산업재해 감소추세의 유지라는 전략목표의 달성 여부는 중소규모 사업장에 대한 안전보건관리에 달려 있다고 할 수 있다.

In this paper, we Investigate rationales for feedback adjustment using some techniques associated with automatic process control based on some nonstatioary disturbance models. Feedback-control schemes are often operated so that the nature of the disturbance that is being compensated is concealed and unusual deviations from the target cannot be taken account of. In this connection feedback control schemes is useful to extend the idea of common causes and special causes to such systems. Minimum-cost feedback schemes are discussed for some simple ,but practically interesting ,models.

Approximately normalized control charts, called Q charts, have been given Quesenberry(1991) for charting in process of short-run, job-shop, etc. We consider a Q chart with inspection error for job-shop floor under geometric distribution, which can be used for processes when a fraction nonconforming is very small. Our results would be applied for designing other control charts with inspection error.

The critical problem in dealing with multiple characteristics is how to compromise the conflict among the selected levels of the design parameters for each individual characteristic. In this study, First, Methodology using SN ratio optimized by univariate technique is proposed and a parameter design procedure to achieve the optimal compromise among several different response variables is developed. Second, to solve the issue on the optimal design for multiple quality characteristics, this study modelled the expected loss function with cross-product terms among the characteristics and derived range of the coefficients of the terms. The model will be used to determine the global optimal design parameters where there exists the conflict among the characteristics, which shows difference in optimal design parameters for the individual characteristics. Third, this paper propose a decision model to incorporates the values assigned by a group of experts on different factors in weighting decision of characteristic. Using this model, SN ratio of taguchi method for each of subjective factors as well as values of weights are used in this comprehensive method for weighting decision of characteristic.

Despite improved working environment with increased automation in industry, the nursing professions are subject to great deal of potential occupational risks, including chemical exposure, occupational stress, and musculoskeletal stress. In this study, we investigated the work-related Low Back Pains(LBPs) among hospital nursing profession by questionnaire survey. The results showed that over 89% of nursing personnel answered had experienced work-related LBPs. Among these personnel, patient handling caused more than 78% of the incidents occurring at work. This study will thus contribute as a basic reference to the hospitals and ergonomic practitioners for nursing profession training program development, facility and equipment redesign, and for guiding future research concerning prevention of this very important occupational health problem.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the auditory stimulation using pop music on EEG. The subjects in the study were eight healthy university students; five men and three women, age group of 22-28 years old. EEGs were measured for one minute at 19 channels, according to the international 10-20 system method, after both pop musics which the subject likes and not were provided with 100% and 50% volume of standard value, respectively, and the ratio of β/σ was obtained. As a result, when the subjects heard their favorite music, the values of β/σ ratio at the Right-Parietal.Temporal.Occipital lob(T6, O2) showed to be lower than stable state in the situation with 50% volume of standard value.

As we analyze in the surveys for the maintenance management of domestic enterprises and the causes of industrial accident, there will be necessity of drawing up countermeasures for prevention of industrial accidents and for ensuring expertise maintenance technologies. Based on these analyses, this study studied the safety information system, maintenance management information system, and the machinery condition diagnosis technique by using of the knowledge-based system under the internet environment. This web based knowledge-based diagnosis system can easily provide not only the knowledge of expert about deterioration phenomenon of industrial robot, but also the knowledge of relating safety and facility on everywhere, everytime. Therefore, when we use this system, it is expected to improve the efficiency of business processes in the production and safety.
