        Invasive non-native species are one of the main threats to biodiversity. Recently, more than 30 non-native species were reported to have established in the four major rivers of South Korea, and introduction of non-native species is gradually accelerating. However, ecological information necessary for prevention and management of non-native species introductions and consequent spread is lacking in South Korea, and especially so for freshwater non-native species. In this study, we assessed eight non-native freshwater fishes established in the Geum River watershed [the Risk Assessment (RA) area] using the Aquatic Species Invasiveness Screening Kit (AS-ISK). Receiver operating curve analysis identified threshold values of 24.75 for the BRA (Basic Risk Assessment) and 35.75 for the BRA+CCA (BRA + Climate Change Assessment). Four species, namely Carassius cuvieri, Lepomis macrochirus, Micropterus salmoides and Oreochromis niloticus were ranked as ‘high risk’; whereas, the lowest scoring non-native species was Coreoperca kawamebari, which is not likely to be invasive in the RA area because it has not established self-reproducing populations and its distribution is currently narrowing across the country. The results of this study indicate that application of AS-ISK allows the assessment of potentially invasive non-native species and provides a framework of action for the development of management guidelines for non-native species and the conservation of native species (cf. ecological traits such as species competition, habitat preference, food resources, and reproduction). As a case study for the Geum River watershed in South Korea, it is recommended that additional screening studies should be carried out for the non-native species in the four major rivers of South Korea.

        It is important to consider interaction between species in understanding structure and function of the biological community. Current ecological issues such as climate change and habitat loss emphasize the significance of the concept of species interaction in that varying species’ interaction across environmental gradients may lead to altered ecological function and services. However, most community studies have focused on species diversity through analysis of quantitative indices based on species composition and abundance data without considering species interactions in the community. ‘Ecological network analysis’ based on network theory enables exploration of structural and functional properties of ecosystems composed of various species and their interactions. In this paper, network analysis of Cheonggye stream as a case study was presented to promote uses of network analysis on ecological studies in Korea. Cheonggye stream has a simple biological structure with link density of 1.48, connectance 0.07, generality 4.43, and vulnerability 1.94. The ecological network analysis can be used to provide ecological interpretations of domestic long-term monitoring data and can contribute to conserving and managing species diversity in ecosystems.

        This article has attempted to provide some guidance and information for improving curricula at Korean universities by analyzing the curricula of American departments of German Studies. For this purpose, the contents and explanations of the website were mainly used. Prior to that, the current state of the Korean Germanistik was briefly descreibed. It was difficult to find cases in which the concept of the desirable learner, the purpose of the department, the goal of the curriculum, and learning outcomes were illustrated by the Korean Department of Germanistik. In contrast, these elements were usually described in the American departments. According to an example university, the department has developed the curriculum by which listening, speaking, reading, and writing can be integrated. In another example, the department offered the learners the opportunity to study in the various fields. The last case was an example of how learners can connect their majors to those of another faculty or department. The contents and materials presented here can be used for the improvement and new development of the curricula at the Korean universities. The departments of Germanistik in Korea have to redesign the curricula so that learners can acquire different skills needed for their future life. To do so, we should above all take into account the concept of the desirable learner, the pedagogical purpose, and the learning objectives of the departments and then provide the learners with a variety of chances to participate in developing a range of capacities. If it succeeds, one can assert the existence value of the department more convincingly.

        In den Zeiten der Globalisierung und Internationalisierung unserer Lebens- und Arbeitswelt ist interkulturelle Kommunikations- und Handlungskompetenz essentiell Der schulische Deutschunterricht steht im Zuge der Globalisierung vor neuen Herausforderungen. Er muss neben der Ausbildung rein sprachlicher Qualifikationen auch auf den ständig wachsenden Austausch mit anderen Kulturen vorbereiten. Interkulturelles Lernen, das der Entwicklung interkultureller Kompetenz dienen soll, ist daher auch Bestandteil von Lehrplänen. Ziel der vorliegender Arbeit ist es, einen Lehrplan zum Erwerb interkultrueller Kompetenz im schulischen Deutschunterricht zu entwickeln. Für die Entwicklung von dem Lehrplan zum um Erwerb interkultrureller Kompetenz werden zunächst einen Dialogtext im Restaurant aus dem Schulbuch ‘Deutsch 1’ ausgewählt, und im interkulturellen Kontext analysiert. Als Ergebnisse sind im schulischen Deutschunterricht zwei Lehr- und Lernmethoden denkbar, um eine interkulturelle Kommunikation anzuregen. Dazu gehören diskursanalystische Lernmethode und Kulturassimilator.

        Background: High string instrument (violin, viola) players are at high risk for developing musculoskeletal problems. In particular, a higher prevalence of shoulder problems has been reported. However, evidence of the effectiveness of therapeutic exercise for musicians with this condition is lacking until now. Objects: This case series study investigated the effect of a specific exercise program on shoulder pain, dysfunction, and posture of professional orchestral high string musicians. Methods: Five professional orchestral high string players with shoulder pain participated in this study. A six-week specific exercise program focus on scapular stability for shoulder pain consisted of scapular muscle exercise. Physical examinations for pain and dysfunction, posture were performed, were identified among all subjects before starting the exercise program. Results: The results revealed that shoulder pain decreased by 67.86% and the effect of pain on instrument play decreased by 63.33%. The shoulder pain and disability Index and the performing arts module-quick disability of the arm, shoulder and hand scale decreased by 71.72% and 51.61% respectively. The exercise program improved function and posture. Conclusion: A specific exercise program for high string players was effective in managing shoulder pain. This case series is intended to provide empirical data on the effectiveness of an exercise program aimed at assessing the effect of exercise on pain, dysfunction, and posture of professional orchestra musicians associated with specific instrument groups.

        The primary purpose of this paper is to introduce the cases of fishery co-management, particularly in Korea. In recent, the fishery co-management between the government and fishermen has been brought an important shift of paradigm in a part of Korean fishery management policy. In case of Korea fisheries area, three fisheries cooperatives(which refer to purse sein fishery, trawl fishery, stow net fishery) have a minority of co-management programs. Generally, the main method of fishery co-management programs is ‘Fishery Closures’ among the programs, and others are restriction of fishing gear and fishermen educations. In spite of the efforts and time consumes of Korean government and fisheries cooperatives, much to our regret that it is hard to confirm visible results in an increased amount of fisheries resources so far because of the time constraint, namely fishery co-management programs have been conducted just since two to three years before. However, what’s certain is that fishery co-management programs make it possible to positively effect on both of area in fishermen and fisheries resources. Accordingly, it is necessary that Korean government and fishermen should extend the fishery co-management to other fishery areas as soon as possible we can in order to efficiently reduce administrative costs and effectively reserve fisheries resources.

        The steel pipe manufacturing industry deals with facilities and materials. Especially thermal facilities are close to vapor cloud explosion (VCE) and may cause secondary damage to facilities because they deal with corrosive substances such as hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid and acid, fire, explosion, leakage etc. It is in danger. In this study, hazard identification method was conducted using HAZOP techniques and quantitative risk analysis was conducted using e-CA, a program that supports accident impact analysis. Equipment in the influence range of ERPG - 3 was determined to be a facility requiring replacement. It was decided that neutralization is necessary using slaked lime. Based on the cost of loss, We presented the proper replacement which is the timing of the dangerous facility. As a result, It was ideal to replace the facilities with 20 years of heat treatment facilities, one year of hydrofluoric acid storage tank, 20 years of sulfuric acid storage tank, and 5 years of hydrochloric acid storage tank.

        빛이 제품의 디자인 조형 요소로 적극적으로 사용되고 있는 추세에 반해, 제품 구매의 주체인 고객이 소구하는 제품의 빛 디자인에 대한 체계적인 연구가 요구되고 있다. 제품의 빛과 관련 연구는 특정 소구 감성을 달성하기 위한 최적 조명 조건을 도출하는 제한되어 새로운 디자인 요소로써 빛에 소구되는 감성적 효과에 대해 우선 분석이 진행 될 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 제품의 빛에 대해 고객이 소구하는 감성의 종류가 무엇인지 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였는데, 특히 제품의 주요 디자인 요소로써 빛을 활용하고 있는 냉장고 제품을 대상으로 하였다. 소구 감성을 도출하기 위해 다지선다형 선택지와 단답형 주관식 문항을 혼합한 통합연구법을 적용하였다. 실험에서는 조명의 색과 배치가 다른 비슷한 형태의 냉장고 이미지 서너 개씩 그룹화하여 총 12종의 자극물 그룹을 구성하였다. 그리고 참여자(N = 50)로 하여금 각 그룹 별로 선호하는 냉장고 이미지를 선택하도록 하고 그 이유에 대해 단답형 주관식 설문을 작성하게 하였다. 그 결과 총 1,035개의 어휘가 수집되었으며, 위 어휘들은 유의어 관계에 의해 총 29종의 어휘 그룹으로 정리되었다. 어휘 그룹은 다시 네 가지의 감성 카테고리 – 추상적 인상, 조명의 객관적 특성, 공간과 내용물의 인지, 시각적 편안함 – 으로 최종 분류된 후 네 가지 카테고리 간의 연관성을 기반으로 냉장고 조명에 소구하는 감성과 조명의 객관적 특성 간의 관계 모델을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 탐색적 방법을 이용해서 새로운 디자인 요소가 가져다줄 수 있는 감성적 가치를 발굴하고 이를 평가 척도로 활용하는 과정을 제시하였다는 데에 의의가 있다.

        As the issue of microplastics (MPs) detection in tap water was raised in other countries in 2017, monitoring of MPs in drinking and source water, and sewage treatment plant (STP) effluents was initiated. This study intends to look into other studies on MPs in STPs at home and abroad, and review the characteristics of MPs and their removal efficiencies in the STPs, the risk and effect of MPs on watersheds, and management practices in order to help better understand MPs in STPs. To manage MPs effectively in STPs, it is necessary to investigate the detection of MPs discharged from STPs, do research on human health risk and control measures, and build a monitoring system including standardized analytical methods.

        Currently, the commercialization of the 5th Generation (5G) service is becoming more prevalent in domestic communication network technology. This has reduced communication delay time and enabled large-capacity data transmission and video streaming services in real-time. In order to keep pace with these developments, K-water has introduced a smart process control system in water purification plants to monitor the status of the water purification process. However, since wireless networks are based on the public Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, communication delay time remains high, and high-resolution video services are limited. This is because communication networks still have a closed structure due to expense and security issues. Therefore, with 5G in its current form, it is very difficult to accommodate future services without improving the infrastructure of its communication networks. In recognition of these problems, this study implemented the authentication and management function of wireless networks on a wired network management system in the K-water Bansong water purification plant. The results confirmed that wired Local Area Network (LAN) services give a higher security performance than an expensive commercial wireless LAN system. This was achieved by using an Internet Protocol (IP) address management system of wired networks and the packet filtering function of the Layer2 (L2) switch. This study also confirmed that it is possible to create a wireless LAN service that is 3.7 times faster than the existing LTE communication network.

        국제해상충돌방지규칙과 해사안전법은 항법의 개념과 그 항법규정을 언제부터 적용하여야 하는지에 대한 요건을 구체적으로 정하고 있지 않다. 항법 적용의 시점은 선박에 대한 항법상 권리와 의무의 관계를 설정하는 기준을 결정하는 것으로서 매우 중요한 의미를 지니고 있다. 실제로 선박 충돌사고가 발생한 경우 항법 적용의 시점에 따라 양 선박 사이에 적용될 항법이 결정된다. 이로 인해서 선박 상호간에 피항선과 유지선의 관계가 결정되고, 해양안전심판원에서는 항법 준수 여부에 따른 과실비율을 산정하고 있다. 실무에서선박의 운항자들이 선박의 충돌을 방지하고 항해의 안전을 확보하기 위해서 항법을 준수하고 있다는 점을 감안할 때, 선박 상호간 항법 적용의 개시시점을 명확하게 규정될 필요가 있다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 최근 해양안전심판원의 재결을 중심으로 항법 적용의 시점에 대한 합리적인 해석 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 재결사례의 주요 쟁점과 내용을 살펴보고, 항법의 일반적 의의와 적용원칙을 검토하고자 한다. 또한 학설과 재결을 중심으로 항법 적용의 시점을 결정하기 위해 고려하여야 할 요건을 면밀히 검토하고자 한다. 이를 통해서 선박의 조우 상태에 따른 합리적인 항법 적용의 시점을 제시하고자 한다.

        본 연구에서는 한국기상청의 장기예측시스템 현업모형인 GloSea5의 성층권 극소용돌이 강화사례에 대한 예측성 을 진단 및 검증하였다. 진단에 사용된 통계량은 이상상관계수(ACC, Anomaly Correlation Coefficient)와 평균제곱근 예측성(MSSS, Mean Squared Skill Score)으로, 1991-2010년간 발생한 14개 극소용돌이 강화사례에 대한 GloSea5의 예측성한계는 ACC를 기준으로 13.6일, MSSS를 기준으로 18.5일로 나타났다. 모형의 평균제곱오차(MSE, Mean Squared Error)의 각 성분을 정량적으로 비교분석한 결과, 예측성을 저하시키는 가장 큰 요인은 맴돌이(에디)오차로, 그 중 에디의 위상오차가 전체 예측오차의 큰 부분을 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 극소용돌이 현상이 수평적으로 큰 규모를 가지는 만큼 동서파수 1의 에디와 관련한 오차가 더 작은 규모의 에디에 비해 가장 크게 예측오차에 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 분석한 사례들에 대하여 GloSea5의 대류권 순환에 대한 예측성은 성층권 예측성과는 큰 관련이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 단순히 GloSea5 모형이 성층권-대류권 접합과정을 잘 모의하지 못하기 때문에 나타난 결과로 유추할 수 있다. 하지만, 극소용돌이 강화에 의한 영향에 비해 대류권에서 내부변동성의 절대적인 크기가 종종 크게 나 타난다는 점을 감안하면, 모형에서 성층권-대류권 접합을 잘 모의하고 있더라도 극소용돌이 강화 자체만의 영향이 뚜렷 하게 나타나지 않았을 가능성 또한 간과하면 안 될 것이다.

        2016년 중국으로 우리나라의 6개 RPC에서 쌀 수출을 개시 하면서 얻어진 우리쌀의 품질대비 가격경쟁력의 우수성과 수출 초기에 발생하였던 문제점 등의 해결 사례는 다음과 같다. 중국내 수입하여 유통중인 중단립종의 가격경쟁력은 일본산과 대만산이 우리 수출쌀에 비해서 2~3배 가격이 높게 유통 되고 있어 우리쌀의 품질관리 여부에 따라 수출가능성은 매우 높다고 할 수 있다. 쌀의 백도는 우리나라 수출쌀이 35내외로 낮은 편이나, 중국의 흑룡강성 최고급쌀인 우창쌀의 백도는 40이상으로 높은 편이다. 배아잔존율은 우리나라 수출쌀이 24% 정도이고 중국의 흑룡강성 최고급쌀인 우창쌀은 5%내외이다. 백도는 40이 상으로, 배아잔존율은 하계 3%이하, 동계 5%이하로 가공하였을 때 중국의 소비자 선호도가 증가 할것으로 사료된다. 진공포장이 풀리는 것을 방지하기 위해서는 쌀 사이에 충진재를 넣거나, 포장시 2중접착을 하거나, 열 접착시에 시간을 1~1.5초, 온도를 130~150oC, 진공압력을 270~300 mmHg로 하고, 이동시 편리성을 도모하기 위해 포장지 상부에 손잡이를 만드는 것도 중요하다. 훈증소독은 메틸브로마이드 보다는 인화수소를 이용하는 것과 중국 남방지역으로의 하계 수출시에는 고온 다습한 것을 감안하여 수분함량을 13%내외로 조절하는 것을 추천한다.
