The limited walking ability after a stroke restricts a patient's independent mobility at home and in the community. It also brings about significant social handicaps. Therefore, it is necessary to improve walking ability in community-dwelling persons with stroke. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of gait training and muscle strengthening exercise of lower extremities in persons with chronic stroke. Nineteen community-dwelling individuals with stroke participated in this program. The exercise program lasted for seven weeks, with a 1-hour program twice per week, and it consisted of balance training, gait training, and strengthening of lower extremities. The outcome of the program was assessed by the gait speed, Wisconsin Gait Scale (WGS), Berg Balance Scale (BBS), and Stroke Impact Scale (SIS). Significant effects were found for the WGS, BBS, and mobility and hand function domain of the SIS (p<.05). It was found that short-term gait training exercise could improve quality of gait, balance, and mobility. Therefore, a more effective exercise program is required for community-based persons with stroke.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the consumer-brand relationship quality on revisit intent and recommendation intent in the family restaurant. The questionnaires were distributed to 320 students in the K University located in Masan, who were sampled by convenience-sampling method. The surveys were conducted from November,10 to 24,2005. The 287 questionnaires were responded, and 15 unusable questionnaires were excluded, then 272 were used for the final analysis(response rate: 85.0%). The result of this study showed that 3 constructs(self-connective attachment, satisfaction and intimacy) of consumer-brand relationship quality have significant effects on the revisit intent(p<.01) and 2 constructs(satisfaction and intimacy) of consumer-brand relationship quality had significant positive effects on the recommendation intent in the family restaurant(p<.01) It meant that as consumer-brand relationship quality became stronger, the customer's revisit intent and recommendation intent became greater. As a conclusion, the foodservice manager in the family restaurant should focus on the marketing strategy to strengthen the quality of consumer-brand relationship especially emphasizing on satisfaction and intimacy in order to increase the revisit intent and recommendation intent of customers.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the current operating management practices and tourist royalty of restaurants at the tourism provinces in Donghae city. Forty restaurants were surveyed for sales status, customer management, menu management, advertising, marketing strategy and seventy seven tourists replied to the attitudinal and behavioral aspects of customer royalty for regular visiting restaurant. Statistical data analyses were completed using the SPSS/WIN pact(age program for descriptive analysis, paired difference test, t-test, ANOVA, and pearson correlation. The results of quantitative analysis indicated that the average sales per day on a high-demand season were 1,571 thousand won and one on a slack season were 614 thousand won. The average check on a high-demand season(109 persons) and a slack season(38 persons) were significant difference(t=6.834, p<.001). A total of 93.5% of the restaurateurs answered that menu pricing was decided by the owner and 21.7% of the subjects used the only restaurant homepage in the advertising method. A total of 40.6% of the restaurants utilized the only kind service for regular customers and 35.1% of the subjects had no method for them. The results suggest that systematic management policies and marketing strafes for regular customer is very necessary. Also, the correlation between tourists' attitudinal and behavioral aspects of customer royalty for regular visiting restaurant was found out. High correlation was existed between the overall tourists' satisfaction on regular visiting restaurant, the intention to revisit(BCL 1, p<.001), the intention to recommend(BCL 2, p<.001), and indicators of customer royalty. Finally, restaurateurs at the tourism provinces should focus on marketing strategy to keep and improve current customer to rise the tourist royalty.
This study was conducted to evaluate sanitary managment practices of institutional foodservice employees in Daejeon and Chungnam areas, and to suggest a guideline for an effective safety & sanitary managment of the institutional foodservice. The subjects consist of 782 employees in 80 institutional foodservice, respectively. The collected data was processed using the SPSS V.10.0 package for descriptive analysis. The results of this study were summarized as follows. The employees were female(97.2%), over 41 age(68.1%), high school(51.0%), less than 1-5 years(52.8%) of total career in the institutional foodservice. Employment status was contract(64.2%) and cook's certification w3s not applicable(80.1%). The institutional foodservice was over 1,000 number(65.0%) of average serving per day and operations format was direct(69.6%) management and 11-20 number of employees for cooking were 58.2%. Employees(96.0%) were received sanitation training and 82.4% of them have been monthly educated. Sanitation training instructor was dietitian 91.6%. The rating of sanitary management practices was food handling 4.36/5.00, food products management 4.32/5.00, personal hygiene 4.31/5.00, equipments and tools handing 4.18/5.00. The employees, who were educated in the sanitation training, presented significantly higher rates of the sanitary management practices than of the uneducated employess. Therefore, the institutional foodservice operations will have to pay special attention to sanitation training program of the employees. The suitable methods of sanitation training must be developed to improve the practical use of sanitary management by employees and institutional foodservice. Also, to enhance these practices, it is necessary to establish the countermeasure to care for safety & sanitary management of the institutional foodservice.
The study aims to examine whether regular leisure activity of the elderly with active and passive types has a beneficial effect to enhance their health condition. The elderly subjects of 164 (82 of elderly who do active leisure and 82 of elderly who do passive leisure) aged over 60 years in Suwon area were employed. Survey questionnaires were administered to investigate general characteristics, life style, and health status along with anthropometric measurement. From the findings, the elderly who do active leisure were highly educated and better in living status. The elderly who do passive leisure showed higher drinking and smoking rates as well as higher obesity and overweight rates in comparison to the other counterpart. Furthermore, the elderly who do passive leisure were poor in health status. 'Painful knee and eye', 'lower back pain', and 'fatigue' were the most prevalent among subjective symptoms of the elderly. In conclusion, the elderly with active leisure activity seemed to have better life style and maintain good health status. Therefore, it is critically important to establish the health program combined with various leisure activity for the seniors to promote and energize the later years of life.
담양 지역의 음용 지하수 중에 형성된 망간 스케일의 지구화학적 특성을 규명하고자 하였다. 망간 스케일은 MnO 및 SiO2로 구성되어 있고, MnO의 함량은 56.61wt.%에서 68.69wt.%, 그리고 SiO2 함량은 1.56wt.%에서10.45wt.%로 나타난다. 망간 스케일 중의 Ba와 Mo 함량은 지하수 심도가 증가할수록 증가하여 나타나고 Zn과 Pb는심도가 증가할수록 감소한다. 망간 스케일을 x-선 회절 분석을 한 결과 birnessite, 석영 및 장석이 분석되었다. IR 분석에서 망간 스케일은 OH, H2O 그리고 birnessite에 의한 흡수 밴드가 관찰된다. SEM 및 EDS 분석에서 망간 스케일은 포도송이 구조, 과립 구조, 구상 구조 및 속이 빈 straw 구조로 되어 있는 것이 관찰된다. 이들 구조들은 고농도의 망간함량에 의해 단순히 과포화로 침전되었을 것으로 생각되며, 혹은 Lepthothrix discophora에 의해 미생물적으로 침전되었을 것으로 생각된다. 이들 구조들의 표면을 EDS로 분석한 결과 Mn의 원자(atomic) 퍼센트가 28에서 44범위로 나타나고 Si, K, Na, Ca, Cl, Cu, Zn 및 Ba 등이 검출된다.
This study was designed to : (a) analyze the menus of the French restaurant in tourism hotel using the menu analysis techniques of Kasavana & Smith and Pavesic, (b) compare the characteristics of the two analysis techniques. The calculations for the menu analysis were done using the MS 2000 Excel spreadsheet program. The menu mix % and unit contribution margin were used as variables by Kasavana & Smith and weighted contribution margins (WCM) and potential food cost % (PFC%) by Pavesic. In two cases, a four-cell matrix was created and menu items were located in each according they achieved high or low scores with respect to two variables. The items that scored favorably on both variables were rated in the top category (e.g., star, prime) and those that scored below average on both were rated in the lowest category (e.g., dog, problem). While Kasavana & Smith's method focused on customer's viewpoints, Pavesic's method considered the manager's viewpoints. Therefore, it is more likely to be desirable for decision-making on menus if the menu analysis techniques chosen is suited to its purpose.
히어리의 자연집단과 벌채집단간의 비교는 전라남도 순천시 승주읍 접치재, 월등면, 황전면, 경상남도 진주시 명석면, 경기도 포천시 백운산 5곳의 벌채지와 주변 자연림에 분포하는 히어리군락을 대상으로 비교하였다. 100m2당 맹아수와 개체당 평균 맹아수는 벌채 집단에서 자연집단의 것보다 더 높게 나타났다. 반면 맹아수별 수고와 직경은 자연집단에서 더 높게 나타났다. 종조성과 식생상관성은 없으며 벌채집단과 자연집단 모두에서 큰차이 없이 생육하였다. 개괄지인 벌채집단에서 근맹아 뿐만 아니라 실생묘로도 번식하였다. 이처럼 히어리는 환경적응력이 커서 인간이 훼손시킨 벌채집단에서 근맹아와 실생묘로 번식함으로써 종 자체의 소멸은 없고, 오히려 일시적인 교란이후에 개체군 확장을 보였다.
본 연구는 강원도 평창군 중왕산 지역 천연 활엽수림내에 분포하고 있는 고로쇠나무의 입지 및 생장특성을 알아보기 위하여 실시되었다. 이 지역에 분포하는 고로쇠나무림의 지형적 특성은 고도 1,000~1,200m, 평균경사 24˚, 북동에서 북서방향의 사면에서 우점하고 있다. 고로쇠나무가 우점하고 있는 지역의 토양특성은 A층 토양깊이가 평균 22cm로 갚고, 수분함량은 36.9%로 높으며, 양료가 비옥한 지역이었다. 또한 고로쇠나무와 함께 상층 임관을 구성하는 주요수종은 거제수나무, 복장나무, 신갈나무, 층층나무이었으며, 고로쇠나무림내 하층 초본류는 벌깨덩굴, 오리방풀, 노루오줌, 관중, 단풍취 등이었다. 고로쇠나무의 생장분석결과 고로쇠나무의 수고생장량은, 초기에는 최대 0.25m까지의 생장을보였으나 이후 점차 감소하여 연간 0.1m이하의 생장을 계속 유지하고 있다. 직경생장은 초기에는 연간 1mm이하의 생장을 보이다 45년 이후 꾸준히 증가하여 최대 0.3mm의 생장을 보였으며, 최근에도 2mm정도의 생장을 유지하고 있다. 재적은 수령 120년경에 상당한 증가를 보이고 있으며 이러한 증가세를 수령 200년까지도 유지하고 있어 목재부후가 없을 경우 벌기령이 매우 늘어날 것으로 보인다.
The citrus leafminer (CLM), Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton, is an oligophagous pest of Rutaceae family, especially Citrus spp. occurring in most worldwide citrus-growing areas. This study was conducted to evaluate a sex pheromone chemical of CLM, (Z,Z)-7,1l-hexadecadienal (7Z,11Z-16:AI) in monitoring CLM by trap types, the diel activity and the influence of some weather factors on trap catch. CLM was well attracted on a trap baited 7Z,11Z-16:AI 1㎎. Sticky wing trap was more effective than bucket trap. Most caught CLM were attracted at 2~6 a.m. regardless of season, and activity time of CLM was affected by sunrise time as well as sunset time. The trap catch of CLM was more influenced by wind velocity than temperature for activity time of CLM. The number of caught CLM was fallen at below 13℃, but there was little effect for trap catch at over that temperature. The average wind velocity at over 2.0 m/sec made the number of caught CLM drop down. The precipitation did not affect the number of caught CLM when the average wind velocity was lower than at 2.0 m/sec.
