역삼투막 운영에 있어서 유기물 오염에 대한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 많은 연구를 하고 있다. 현재 가성소다 (NaOH)를 사용하여 유기물 오염 제거를 하고 있다. 본 연구는 지속적인 막오염 증가 문제를 해결하기 위한 물리/화학적 세정 기법으로서 기존에 사용하던 가성소다와 Micro-bubble를 이용하여 유기물 오염 제거 실험을 수행되었다. 멤브레인 강제 오염 을 위해 Humic acid sodium, Bovine serum albumin, Sodium alginate 약품을 사용하여 유기물 오염을 시켰다. 유기물 오염에 따른 Flux를 관찰하였고, 가성소다와 Micro-bubble를 이용한 유기물 오염 제거 실험은 가성소다로만 사용했을 때보다 향상 된 것을 관찰했다.

This paper presents the applicability of natural zeolite (Clinoptilolite) for recovery of ammonium nitrogen from high-strength wastewater stream. Isotherm experiments showed the ammonium exchange Clinoptilolite followed Freundlich isotherm and its maximum exchange capacity was 18.13 mg NH4+-N/g zeolite. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis indicated that a significant amount of nitrogen was adsorbed to the Clinoptilolite. Optimal flowrate for recovery of high concentration ammonium nitrogen was determined at 16 BV/d (=19.2 L/min) throughout the lab-scale column studies operated under various flowrate conditions. This study also provided a method to determine the recovery rate of final product of nitrogen fertilizer based on the model application to the lab-scale continuous data.

Membrane bioreactor (MBR) and reverse osmosis (RO) process have attracted much attention in the field of wastewater treatment and desalination, respectively. However, MBR has membrane fouling which is the major obstacle in maximizing their efficiency. Also, for the RO process, low energy efficiency still remains unanswered in RO process. In this study, it is demonstrated that the application of graphene oxide (GO) to membrane fabrication can be a novel strategy to overcome the residual problems. In detail, GO was applied to fabrication of polysulfone ultrafiltration membrane for improving anti-biofouling capability of membrane. Furthermore, addition of GO enhanced mechanical strength of highly porous support layer, which enabled the thin-film composite RO membrane to have 1.6 to 4 times higher water flux compared to other RO membranes.

황색육아종성 담낭염은 주변조직을 침투하는 특성으로 인해 담낭암과 감별이 어려우며 조직학적 확진을 위해 담낭 절제술을 시행해야 하는 경우가 많고, 주변조직과의 유착으 로 확대절제술이 필요한 경우가 상당수이다. 소변색 변화를 주소로 내원한 69세 여자환자가 전산화단층촬영 및 자기공 명영상에서 주변조직을 침윤하는 담낭종괴가 발견되었고, 최초에는 담낭암으로 판단하였으나, 조직검사 및 추적 전산 화단층촬영으로 양성 염증 질환의 가능성이 높을 것으로 판단, 스테로이드 치료 시행 후 호전되어 확진을 위해 담낭절 제술을 시행하였고 황색육아종성 담낭염을 진단하였다. 스테로이드 치료로 인해 간조직 침투가 호전되어 광범위 절제 술을 피할 수 있었던 증례로 이를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

담낭신경내분비종은 드물게 발생하는 일차성 담낭암이며, 전산화단층촬영이나 초음파와 같은 통상적인 영상검사로 쉽게 발견되지 않는다. 석회화담낭 역시 드물기 때문에 석회화담낭을 동반하는 신경내분비종은 매우 희귀하다. 명치부위 통증을 주소로 내원한 75세 여자환자가 전산화단층촬영에서 석회화담낭과 다엽성 종괴가 발견되어 확대 담낭절제술을 시행하였고, 최종 병리소견으로 담낭신경내분비종과 석회화담낭이 확진되었다. 석회화담낭을 동반하는 담낭신경내분비종은 이전에 보고된 바 없기에 저자들은 이를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

The aims of the present study were to estimate the possibility for toxicity test and compare acute toxicity of potassium dichromate in the larva stage of Neocaridina denticulata, Daphnia magna and the juvenile stage of Oryzias latipes. N. denticulate, a freshwater shrimp lives in Korea, is an indigenous species and considered to be useful for toxicity test. D. magna and O. latipes were recommended as a test species for the OECD test guideline. The 96 h-LC50 potassium dichromate value was 0.62 mg L-1 for the larva stage of N. denticulata and 168.44 mg L-1 for the juvenile stage of O. latipes. The 48 h-EC50 value was 1.27 mg L-1 for the D. magna. The study was confirmed higher sensitivity of the larva stage of N. denticulata to potassium dichromate compared to the D. magna and the juvenile stage of O. latipes.

We have designed data processing server system to include data archiving, photometric processing and light curve analysis for KMTNet (Korea Microlensing Telescope Network). Outputs of each process are reported to the main photometric database, which manages the whole processing steps and archives the photometric results. The database is developed using ORACLE 11g Release 2 engine. It allows to select objects applying any set of criteria such as RA/DEC coordinate and Star ID, etc. We tested the performance of the database using the OGLE photometric data. The searching time for querying 70,000,000 records was under 1 second. The database is fully accessed using query forms via web page.
