        The acetaminophen (APAP), an antipyretic and analgesic agent, induces the hepatotoxicity by increasing influx of calcium and destabilizing the cellular membrane which can be caused by N-acetyl p-benzoquinoneimine generated by cytochrome P-450 (CYP-450) when it is overdosed. Diltiazem (DIL), a calcium channel blocking agent, has been known to suppress the CYP-450 activities. To study the effect of DIL in APAP treated rats, the serum biotransformational enzyme analyses and the liver histopathologic examination were conducted on the rats which had been administered DIL at 3, 6, 9 and 12 hours after the 3,000 mg/kg of APAP administration. Following a single dose of DIL administered 12 hours after APAP administration, serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activities, malondialdehyde and calcium contents of liver and microsome were significantly reduced. Glutathione S-transferase (GST) activity was significantly increased. Histopathologic studies showed that DIL had prevented the development of centrilobular necrosis induced by APAP in liver tissue. Our results suggested that diltiazem could inhibit the formation of free radical and the influx of calcium and could increase GST activity. Therefore, diltiazem can be administered at the time of 12 hours after overdosed APAP to diminish the liver damage.

        생체내에서 매식되는 타이타늄의 표면에 골의 형성과 성장을 촉진시키기 위해 칼슘이온과 인산이온을 함유하는 용액에서 타이타늄의 표면처리를 행하였다. 표면처리방법으로는 pH 5.8, 7.0, 8.0의 인산칼슘 완충용액에 10분간 침적시킨 후 유사체액에 30일간 침적시켰다. 침적시킨 후의 타이타늄 표면에 형성된 피막의 특성을 주사전자현미경, X-ray 회절장치, Fourier 변환강도계등으로 확인하고 유사체액에만 침적한 시편의 표면특성과 비교하였다. 실험결과 인산완충용액에서의 침적에 의해 타니타늄 표면에 인산칼슘 형성이 촉진됨을 알 수 있었다. 형성된 층은 입자형의 미세구조를 지닌 하이드록시아파타이트나 β-TCP의 인산칼슘 층으로 확인되었다. 형성된 층의두께는 pH 8.0, 7.0 그리고 pH 5.8의 인산완충액에서의 침적 순으로 증가하였고, 그 밀도는 pH 7.0, pH8.0그리고 pH5.8의 인산완충액에서의 침적 순으로 증가하였다.

        The relationship between storage stability and calcium contents extracted from anchovy according to particle sizes was investigated in this paper. The results are as follows; 1. The acid value (AV) and the peroxide value (POV) of anchovy were in the rank order of whole anchovy$lt;35$lt;50$lt;80 mesh by particle sizes and 6$lt;12$lt;18$lt;30 months by storage term. 2. The Calcium (Ca) and Phosphorus (P) contents extracted from anchovy were in the rank order of whole anchovy$lt;35$lt;50$lt;80 mesh by particle sizes and 10$lt;20$lt;30 minutes by heating time. The extracted amount of Ca was the largest when anchovy particles with 80 mesh were heated for 30 minutes. In that case the amount of Ca in the anchovy stocks was 52.54 mg. 3. The amount ratio between Ca and P was in the rank order of 30$lt;20$lt;10 minutes by boiling time and indicated 1:3.99-5.16 by each part. The lowest ratio of Ca to P was 1:3.99 when anchovy particles with 80 mesh were heated for 30 minutes. 196

        하우스 밀감의 착색을 촉진시키고자 궁천조생 8년생을 공시하고 ethephon (2-chloro-ethylphosphonic acid) 100+ca1cium carbonate(clef-non) 10000mg.L-1을 착색시부터 15일 간격으로 1회, 2회, 3회 살포하여 착색조사를 하였다. Ethephon +clef-non의 살포에 의한 과괴의 착색도 a는 살포회수가 많아질수록 높아지는 경향이었으며 a/b도 이와 유사한 경향으로 ethephon+clef-non 살포에 의해 착색이 촉진되었다 포도당과 과당은 처리간에 차이를 볼 수 없었고, 자당 및 전당은 살포회수가 많아질수록 증가되는 경향이었으나 유의차가 없었다 당도는 모든 처리구에서 12。Bx 이상으로 높은 편이었는데 3회 살포구(13。Bx)를 제외하고는 살포회수간에는 차이가 없었다.

        This study was done to develop the standard recipe for nutritious cowpea starch based grape jelly. The effects of grape juice concentration (4, 8, 12%) and 0.2% calcium addition were evaluated on textural and sensory properties of grape jelly through the instrumental analysis using rheometer and sensory evaluation. Instrumental analysis showed that hardness, chewiness and gumminess of grape jelly was incerased significantly In jelly made of higher concentration of grape juice, and also in 0.2% calcium containing jelly. According to sensory evaluation, higher grape juice contains jelly showed advantages in preference of color and overall quality. Calcium addition increased sourness in sensory score. Overall, 12% grape juice and 0.2% calcium containing jelly was most preferable, which means calcium fortified cowpea starch based grape jelly was successful try for nutritious and practical food for elementary school foodservice.

        In order to investigate of the Influence of Mg2+, Ca2+ on α-linolenic acid converted into the eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid(DHA) forming in plasma lipid and in liver microsomes of rabbit, the animals were fed on the perila oil rich α-linolenic acid or sardine oil rich EPA and DBA diet for 4 weeks were examined. In plasma, liver lipid, Mg2+ was influenced on arachidonic acid(AA), EPA, DHA formative from α-linolenic acid in perilla oil, but stearic acid was increased, Ca2+ was Influenced on stearic acid increased and DHA was decreased. In phospholipid, Mg2+, Ca2+ was influenced on stearic acid increased and DHA was decreased in perilla oil.

        Ground Calcium Carbonate, among paper coating pigments, will influence less dispersant demand, less binder demand, increase coating solids from 58% to 70%, which means high speed coating, less shrinkage during drying, less energy consumption, more uniform coverage of fibers. The quality point of view of Ground Calcium Carbonate, brightness, particle size, Particle size distribution, hardness, impurities content are important. More important factors of Ground Calcium Carbonate which influence the paper coating process are dispersion mechanisms and their effects. The study was made to investigate the effect of Ground Calcium Carbonate dispersion by sodium salt of polyacrylate dispersant composition and dispersion condition. Basic tests such as physical, optical and chemical were perfumed, and dispersion effects were investigated by different conditions. The results showed that the type of dispersant affected the dispersion effects, and the Ground Calcium Carbonate has critical dispersant demand.
