        Aliphatic aldehyde polyoxyethylene glycol acetals were synthesised through the reaction of aliphatic aldehydes such as caproic aldehyde, capryl aldehyde, capric aldehyde and lauric aldehyde with excess diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol and tetraethylene glycol, respectively. The acetal formation, in which water was azeotropically distilled by adding benzene to the reaction system, was gained a good yield of acetal type compounds. This reaction is found pseudo first order reaction at various temperatures such 70, 80, 90 and 97℃. Also these activation energies of reaction of acetal type products such as caproic aldehyde diethylene glycol acetal, capryl aldehyde diethylene glycol acetal, capric aldehyde diethylene glycol acetal, lauric aldehyde diethylene glycol acetal, caproic aldehyde triethylene glycol acetal and caproic aldehyde tetraethylene acetal were 17.3, 19.6, 21.2, 21.6, 15.5 and 14.7 Kcal/mole.

        균질(均質) 등방성(等方性) 공간(空間)을 전제하는 Friedmann 우주의 타당성은 Planck 시기(tp∼10−43sec tp∼10−43sec ) 이진으로 소급시킬 수 없으므로 시초의 비(非)(Non) Friedmann 우주가 가능하다. 본 연구는 우주시초의 특이성과 관련되는 균질 우주와 비균질 우주의 특성, 지평선과 inflation의 관계를 개관한 다음, t∼tp t∼tp 의 양분자(量子論) 요동(搖動)이나 $t>t_p$의 GUT 상전이(相轉移)로 생기는 inflation 계기에 파생(派生)하는 시공(時空)의 거품들이 이루는 비균질(非均質) 우주의 가능성과 인간원리(人問原理)에 기반을 둔 우주 집단의 관련을 고찰한다.

        Most existing theories on ship waves and wave resistance are based on the perturbation of the flow field by a small pararr.eter which specifies the slenderness of the ship hull. Since however, ship hulls in practice are neither so slender nor thin enough to secure the validity of the linearized theory, the agreen:ent between the theoretical prediction and the experimental result is not generally satisfactory. The author pointed out that the contribution by the non-linear term in the free surface condition can be represented by sorr.e source distribution over the still water plane. This paper leads to a forrr.ula for the wave resistance of not slender ships at low Froude nurr.bers. and deals with the asynptotic expression. As a nurr.erical example, the wave resistance of Wigley model is calculated, and the result is compared with experimental values. It is concluded that the wave resistance coefficient varies in the rate of Fn6 at low speed limit in general. A comparison with the result derived from the linearized free surface condition shows that the non-linearity of the free surface is irr portant at low speed.

        The primary purpose of this paper is to show the theoretical and empirical problems of Case theory suggested in GB and the Minimalist Program. The secondary purpose of the paper is to criticize the notion of Case feature, arguing that the feature is not necessary for computation but for interpretation at the interfaces. From a pure ontological view, the notion of Case feature is not necessary for computation. The morphological Case manifests the relationship between nominals and functional heads.

        To understand the composition, quantity, and quality of Suspended Particulate Organic Matter (SPOM) in the Gangneung Namdae Stream, Korea, we examined spatiotemporal variations in water temperature, salinity, chlorophlly a (Chl a), Particulate Organic Carbon (POC) and nitrogen (PON), and carbon stable isotope (δ13C) of SPOM at six stations in June (pre-monsoon), July (monsoon), and September (post-monsoon) 2017. With increasing precipitation, the average POC and C/N values increased significantly in July than in June. In September, the values decreased with decreasing precipitation. The δ13C values showed irregular spatiotemporal fluctuations among the stations and periods, thereby suggesting a greater contribution of autochthonous organic matter to the pool of SPOM than that of allochthonous organic matter derived from upstream. In addition, the large and irregular changes in POC, C/N ratio, C:Chl a, and δ13C compared to that of PON were observed for all periods among the stations, indicating a serial discontinuity of the stream. Our results suggest that the Gangneung Namdae Stream is significantly influenced by the increase in freshwater discharge caused by heavy rainfalls during the summer monsoon and post-monsoon periods.

        본 연구의 목적은 1.5 T와 3.0 T 비 인두 MRI 검사 후 SNR과 CNR을 평가하여 최적의 Tesla를 알아보고자 하였다. 총 30명의 PACS로 전송된 Nasopharynx MRI검사 환자를 무작위로 선택하여 본 연구에 적용하였다. 데이터 분석에 사용된 장비로는 1.5 T, 3.0 T MRI 장비를 이용하였다. 분석 방법으로 T1 WI과 T1 지방 소거 영상에서 각 Tongue, Spinal Cord, Masseter Muscle, Fat, Parotid Gland, Tumor의 조직에 대하여 일정한 관심영역을 설정하고 SNR와 CNR을 평가하였다. 6가지의 조직에 대하여 정량적 분석으로 SNR과 CNR을 평가하였고, 정성적 분석으로 균일한 지방소거, 자화 감수성 인공물에 대한 영상의 질을 4점 척도로 측정 하였다. 본 데이터 분석의 통계적 유의성은 독립표본 T검증과 Wilcoxon Signed Ranks사용하였으며, p 값이 0.05이하일 때 유의성을 두었다. 본 실험에 대한 정량적 평가 결과 T1 WI 과 T1 지방소거를 1.5 T와 3.0 T 를 비교했을 때 T1 WI에 대한 3.0 T가 평균 SNR(124.75±), CNR(118.91±)로 정량적 분석에서 SNR과 CNR값이 1.5 T평균 SNR(73.15±), CNR(60.59±)에 비해 높게 나타났다. 또한 T1 지방소거에서 3.0 T가 평균 SNR(10 1.10±), CNR(81.24±)로 1.5 T의 평균 SNR(78.47±), CNR(65.70±)에 비해 높게 나타났다. 정성적 분석으로 균일한 지방소거, 자화 감수성 인공물에 대하여 4등급으로 평가했을 때 1.5 T 장비가 높은 점수를 얻었다(p <0.05). 결론적으로 두 기기에 대한 데이터 분석 결과 정량적 평가부분에서는 3.0 T 장비가 높게 나타났고 정성적 평가 부분에서는 1.5 T가 높게 나타났다. 따라서 각 장비에 대한 장단점을 고려할 때 상호보완적으로 장비를 선택하여 환자에게 적용한다면 최적의 정보를 제공할 것이라고 사료된다.

        In this study, the effect on the stability of Aerobic Granular Sludge (AGS) with different Carbon/Nitrogen (C/N) ratios was investigated. The C/N ratios were controlled to 10.0, 7.5, 5.0, and 2.5 using the sequencing batch reactor, and the results showed that the removal efficiency of organic matter and total nitrogen decreased simultaneously with the decrease of C/N ratio. The removal efficiency of organic matter and total nitrogen at C/N ratio of 2.5 was 70.7% and 52.3% respectively. In addition, the AGS/mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) ratio showed a tendency to decrease from 85.7% to 73.7%, while the sludge volume index showed a tendency to increase from 82 mL/g to 102 mL/g as the C/N ratio decreased. At the same time, the apparent deviation of polysaccharide (PS) content in extracellular polymeric substances was observed, and polysaccharides/protein (PS/PN) ratio decreased from 0.62 to 0.31 as the C/N ratio decreased. Optical microscope observations showed that the reduction in C/N ratio caused the growth of filamentous bacteria and significantly affected the stability of AGS.

        Background: Recently, jujube (Zizyphus jujuba Mill.) has been attracting attention as a fruit, and its cultivation in rain shelter house is increasing to produce the high quality fresh jujube. This study was carried out to investigate the growth and fruit characteristics of jujube according to the types of rain shelter house. Methods and Results: The characteristics of 5-year-old Bokjo cultivar cultivated in 3 types of rain shelter house, multi span rain shelter house with roof vent (Type I), single span house with a column in the center and roof vent (Type II) and single span house with a column in the center and without roof vent (Type III), and open field were examined. The sprouting and blooming period were different among the types of rain shelter house. The diameter of main stem was higher in rain shelter houses than in the open field. There was no a significant difference in fruit number per leaf stem among the types of cultivation. The incidence of fruit cracking in open field cultivation which was 51.2% was much higher than that in Type I 21.6%, Type II 19.3%, and Type III 25.5%. The fruit size and weight in rain shelter houses, especially in Type III rain shelter house were higher than those in the open field and the soluble solids content of fruit in Type I and Type II was higher than in Type III rain shelter house and the open field. Conclusions: The results show that the growth and fruit quality of jujube were improved by cultivation in rain shelter house, and affected by the types of rain shelter house.

        The aim of the study were to investigate the influences of krill (Euphausia superba) meal on the body weight, lipid metabolism functional improvement, blood glucose level, protein component in the sera of rats which fed experimental diets for 5 weeks. Serum concentrations of total cholesterol, Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL)-cholesterol, free cholesterol, triglyceride (TG), phospholipid (PL) and blood glucose were higher in the control diet group (G1 group) than the control diet plus 10% krill meal group (G2 group), the control diet plus 20% krill meal group (G3 group), the control diet plus 30% krill meal group (G4 group), and a general dose and time independent one-way analysis of variance was performed to assess efficacy. Conversely depending on the content of krill meal for the High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterol level, it showed higher results. The concentrations of total protein, albumin and globulin in sera, there were not significant difference among the groups (p<0.05). The results indicate that a krill meal diet effectively inhibited increases in lipid elevation, blood glucose level in the sera of rats.

        최근 우수한 전기전도도와 넓은 비표면적을 갖는 탄소나노튜브(CNT)를 활용하여 고강도 및 고내구성 콘크리트의 생산을 위한 연구가 많은 연구자들에 의하여 활발히 이루어지고 있다. CNT의 혼입을 통한 콘크리트의 고강도에 대한 연구가 주를 이루고 있으나, 그 외의 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 CNT 첨가량에 대한 시멘트 복합체의 역학성능 및 발열성능에 대한 평가를 실시하였다. 낮은 물-바인더 비를 기반으로 하는 시멘트-플라이애시 배합에 대하여, 바인더 중량대비 0.2% 및 0.5%의 CNT 첨가에 따른 재령별 압축강도, 수화특성분석을 위한 미소수화열 분석, 페이스트 내 CNT의 분산 및 주변 수화물과의 관계를 규명하기 위한 SEM분석, 기준전극 삽입을 통한 발열실험 및 열 중량 분석을 실시하였다. CNT 첨가량의 증가에 따라 발열성능은 증가하며, CNT가 첨가되지 않은 기준 배합 CNT가 첨가된 배합의 경우 동등수준의 역학성능을 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

        Background : The cultivation method of ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) has been introduced not only in the existing shading facilities but also in the cultivation method using the rain shelter house. In addition, direct seedling cultivation of ginseng is increasing in order to save labor. Ginseng cultivation area in the northern area is increasing with the disappearance of first planted field. Proper shading method in the northern ares is needed to grow direct grown ginseng using rain forest house. Methods and Results : Shading method using rain shelter house was Polyethylene film with layered polyethylene net 75%, blue-white duplicated PE film 85%, blue-white duplicated PE film 90%. Plant materials is 5-years-old Ginseng using direct seedling cultivation. In order to select proper shading materials of the rain shelter house in northern area, we investigated photosynthetic properties and growth of 5-years-old ginseng in rain shelter house. The temperature and humidity were slightly different between the traditional conventional shade facility and the rain shelter house, but the light intensity of the shading facility tended to decrease with the passage of time. The difference in shading method in rain shelter house was the highest at polyethylene film with layered polyethylene net 75%. As a result of the growth characteristics of the top part, 90% of blue-green double-sided film showed the greatest growth with 89.8 ± 1.5. The difference in top part between rain shelter house and shading facility is about 23 ㎝. Conclusion : Although the above growth characteristics of the ginseng shows this tendency, the root growth characteristics of the ginseng must be further observed.

        Background : Ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) is a multi-year-cultivated plant that causes many insects and disease damage during the growing season. The Ginseng Rain-sheltered Shade House is one of the efficient cultivation techniques as reducing the damages caused by natural disaster such as blight, high temperature & humidity, dry, and heavy rain & snow. This study was conducted to investigate the growth characteristics of 4-years-old ginseng using rain-sheltered shade house suitable shading materials for the Gyeongsangbuk-do. Methods and Results : The rain-sheltered shade house shading materials were PE film with layered polyethylene net 90%, Light diffusion film with layered polyethylene net 75%, blue-white duplicated film. In order to determine proper shading materials of the rain-sheltered shade house, ginseng growth characteristics such as plant length, stem diameter, leaf length, root length and root diameter were investigated at 4-years-old ginseng. As a result, the evaluations of aerial part growth by measurements were good in the following order: PE film + polyethylene net 90%, Blue-white duplicated film and light diffusion film + polyethylene net 75%. The evaluations of root weight by measurements were heavy in the following order: Blue-white duplicated film, PE film + polyethylene net 90% and light diffusion film + polyethylene net 75%. The net photosynthetic rate was higher in blue-white duplicated film than other shading materials treatments during growth season including summer high-temperature period. Conclusion : In the 4-years-old ginseng cultivation in Gyeongsangbuk-do using the rain-sheltered shade house, aerial part growth in PE film + polyethylene net 90% was better than other shading materials. In addition, root weight in Blue-white duplicated film was heavier than other shading materials. It will be possible to know which shading material is the most suitable for Gyeongsangbuk-do area after further growth.

        Background : The rhizome of ginger (Zingiber officinale) is widely used as a spice or a traditional medicine. It contains the phenolic compounds, such as gingerol, zingerone and shogaols as the major pungent compound. Ginger is commonly used for various types of "stomach problems," including motion sickness, colic, upset stomach, gas, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), nausea. The cultivation area of ginger is 1,046 ha, and it is cultivated as 5th of 55 medicinal crops in Korea (2016). When ginger is cultivated in a vinyl house, the growing periods can be prolonged by early sowing and the yield is improved compared to the conventional cultivation. This experiment was carried out to investigated on growth, rhizome shape and yield as affected by the soil covering in rain-shelter greenhouse. Methods and Results : Seed ginger was planted on March 10 at 75 × 15 ㎝ planting density in greenhouse. The soil covering on furrow area was carried out on June 20, July 20 and August 20. The control, conventional cultivation was planted four rows on 120 ㎝ wide ridge. As a results of applying the soil covering, emergence was 2 - 3 days earlier than that of conventional cultivation. On November 5, samples were harvested for each treatment, and growth characteristics, tuber shape, and yield were investigated. As the number of soil-cover increased up to 3-times, the weight of the tuber increased to 44.4% and the length to 21.9% as compared with the control. However, as the number of soil-cover increased, workspace was needed, resulting in fewer seeding gingers and lower total yield. Therefore, it was advantageous to perform two times soil-cover to obtain the maximum yield. In the case of soil cultivation, the length of the foot was longer than that of conventional cultivation, and the quality was improved. Conclusion : From the above results, it is recommended that the soil covering is carried out twice at greenhouse’s cultivation. The first covering is in mid-June, and the second is in mid-July.

        본 실험은 비 전리방사선인 가시광선을 조사한 미생물에서의 생리적 대사특징을 연구하였다. 이 실험에 사용된 미생물은 화학합성미생물인 Phodospirillum Rubrum KS-301이었다. glucose의 회분발효를 수행하였고 발효결과는 테이터의 기초가 되었다. 첫째, 비 전리방사선인 가시광선을 조사를 안 할 때의 잔류 glucose(기질량)량을 5.03 g/L -2.17 g/L로 감소하면은 균체량은 1.08 g/L - 3.14 g/L로 수소생성량은 0.02 g - 0.19 g로 증가 하였다. 둘째, 비 전리방사선인 가시광선을 조사 할 때의 잔류 glucose(기질량)을 13.17 g/L - 5.2 g/L로 감소하면은 균체량은 4.7 g/L - 10.57 g/L로 수소생성량은 0.186 g - 0.3 g로 증가 하였다. 이 실험결과를 종합해 볼 때 비 전리방사선인 가시광선을 조사한 미생물에서의 생리적 대사특정으로는 가시광선을 미생물에게 조사한 결과 생명의 활동이 활발하게 일어나고 있음을 알았고 그 반대로 다양한 연구논문에 따르면 감마선, 엑스선, 전자선을 조사한 미생물에서는 세포치사나 세포의 기능적, 형태학적 장해를 나타내었음을 알 수가 있었다.

        가죽제품 제조 산업으로부터 발생되는 피혁폐기물의 양은 투입되는 원료 가죽의 약 50%를 차지하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 이들 피혁폐기물은 적절한 처리 방법이 개발되지 않아 대부분 매립이나 소각을 통해 처리되고 있다. 특히, 매립이나 소각을 통한 처리는 단가가 높아 관련 산업의 경제성을 악화시키고 고형폐기물의 친환경적 처리 관점에서 문제점이 제기되고 있는 실정이다. 최근 화석연료를 대체하기 위한 신규에너지원의 중요성이 높아짐에 따라, 폐기물을 이용한 에너지화에 많은 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 피혁폐기물은 주로 단백질과 지질로 구성되어 있는 특성으로 인해 혐기성소화를 통한 바이오가스 생산이 가능한 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 일반적으로 알려져 있는 혐기성소화 공정의 최적 C/N 비 (20-30)를 고려할 때, 피혁폐기물의 높은 C/N비 (약 35)는 공정의 제한요소가 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 피혁폐기물과 음폐수를 통합하여 혐기성소화를 실시함으로써 기질의 C/N 비 조절이 혐기성소화 효율에 미치는 영향을 관찰하였다. 기질의 C/N 비 조절을 통한 혐기성소화 효율의 변화는 BMP (Biochemical methane potential) test를 약 40일간 진행하였으며, 바이오가스 발생량을 비교하였다. 실험은 경기도 동두천시에 위치한 가죽제품 제조업체로부터 수거된 pelt scrap과 양주시에 위치한 음식물쓰레기 자원화시설에서 발생되는 음폐수를 각각 채취하여 사용하였다. 개별 기질의 C/N 비는 피혁폐기물이 34.1, 음폐수가 13.5로 확인되었으며, 이들의 무게에 따른 혼합비를 조절하여 통합 혐기성소화 기질의 C/N 비를 20, 25, 30으로 맞춰 실험을 진행하였다. 실험결과 기질을 통합하여 C/N 비를 조절한 소화 조건에서 개별 기질의 단독소화 조건보다 많은 바이오가스 생산량이 관찰되었으며, C/N 비 20에서 바이오가스 생산량이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 통합 기질의 C/N 비 조절효과와 함께 피혁폐기물에 비해 생분해도가 높은 음폐수 함량이 기질의 C/N 비가 낮을수록 더 많이 포함되었기 때문으로 판단된다.

        Background : Obesity, a global health problem and a chronic diseases, is associated with increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes and coronary heart diseases. A wide variety of natural remedies have been explored for their obesity treatment potential. To elucidate the anti-obesity effect of ginsenoside Rg5 : Rk1 (Rg5 : Rk1), a mixture of protopanaxadiol type ginsenosides isolated from Panax ginseng Meyer in a 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Methods and Results : In order to determinate the anti-obesity effect of Rg5 : Rk1, Oil Red O staining and triglyceride (TG) content was assessed. Furthermore, to elucidate the possible mechanism whether Rg5:Rk1 affects lipid accumulation, mRNA and protein expression analyses of adipocyte markers such as STAT3, PPARγ, CBEPα and ap2 were carried out. Rg5:Rk1 treatment showed an inhibition of lipid droplet accumulation and decrease on TG content. In addition, expression of STAT3, PPARγ, CEBPα and ap2 were decreased in dose dependent manner. Similar to these results, Rg5:Rk1 treatment reduced PPARγ and CEBPα protein expression. Conclusion : Rg5 : Rk1 treatment exhibits anti-adipogenic activity by down-regulation of the STAT3PPARγ/CEBPα pathway in 3T3-L1 adipocyte cell line.

        Background : This study was carried out to secure technology for stable production of ginseng by developing technology to reduce the high temperature in response to climate change. Methods and Results : Polyethylene film (PE film), scattering film and blue-white double-sided film (85% shading rate) were tested for ginseng rain-shielding materials. The shading materials used were a black shading net (90% shading rate) in the first, and an aluminum screen (40% shading rate) in the second. The first shading materials were installed on April 10 with PE film + black light shielding net, and scattering film + black light shielding net. As the treatment for high temperature injury relief, an aluminum screen was installed under a scattering film + black light shielding net and a blue-white double-sided film at a high temperature. The amount of transmitted light was 12.9% at scattered film, 14.5% at double sided film, and 12.5% at PE film when the primary rain-shielding material was covered. In secondary shading, scattering film + aluminum screen and blue-white double-sided film + aluminum showed 8.6% and 7.6% of light transmitting, respectively. In the case of temperature, the average temperature was lower than the outside temperature at the scattering film + aluminum screen, clear double sided film + aluminum screen and PE film recovery. The differences among the cultivars were significant in plant height, stem height, stem diameter, leaf length, leaf width and leaf area. There were significant differences in the plant height, stem height, leaf length, and leaf width between treatments, but there was no interaction effect between varieties and treatments. The interactions between treatments were found only in the number of brach root. Conclusion : High temperature damage was influenced by the amount of irradiation in the facility rather than the temperature, which was presumed to be due to the accelerated aging of the ginseng leaf as the light transmittance increased.

        Background : Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is caused by obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and genetic factors. Also, hyperinsulinemia directly promotes fat accumulation in hepatocytes. Therefore, it is very important to suppress the most common risks of NAFLD, such as obesity and insulin resistance. In this context, we evaluated for the effects of black ginseng (BG) extract on lipid accumulation inhibition and degradation in hepatocytes. Methods and Results : The aim of this study is to figure out the potential anti-lipogenic effects and the underlying mechanism of BG extract in a cellular-, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) animal model associated with NAFLD. T2DM animal used C57BL/KsJ db/db mouse (M. 6 wk, n = 56), treated with extract of BG and Red ginseng (RG) (each 100 and 900 ㎎/ ㎏/day, p.o) for 6 weeks. BG markedly reduced palmitate-induced intracellular lipid accumulation in HepG2 cells. On histology of liver tissues of T2DM animal, macrovesicular lipid droplets in cytoplasm of hepatocytes were decreased both RG and BG-treated groups. In liver tissue, BG-treated groups suppressed CCAAT/enhancer binding protein-α (C/EBP-α), sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1c (SREBP-1c) expression, and SREBP-1c mediated induction of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) and fatty acid synthase (FAS) proteins related to the induction of adipose differentiation. Futhermore, adenosine monophosphate (AMP)-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activity was significantly increased in BG-treated groups compared to RG-treated groups. Conclusion : Our results suggest that black ginseng extract has an anti-adipogenic and anti-lipogenic effects in the liver when administered as a food supplement and has potential as a therapeutic agent for obesity and T2DM induced NAFLD.
