        This study investigates the main growth mechanism of InP during InP/ZnS reaction of quantum dots (QDs). The size of the InP core, considering a synthesis time of 1-30 min, increased from the initial 2.56 nm to 3.97 nm. As a result of applying the proposed particle growth model, the migration mechanism, with time index 7, was found to be the main reaction. In addition, after the removal of unreacted In and P precursors from bath, further InP growth (of up to 4.19 nm (5%)), was observed when ZnS was added. The full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the synthesized InP/ZnS quantum dots was found to be relatively uniform, measuring about 59 nm. However, kinetic growth mechanism provides limited information for InP / ZnS core shell QDs, because the surface state of InP changes with reaction time. Further study is necessary, in order to clearly determine the kinetic growth mechanism of InP / ZnS core shell QDs.

        본 논문에서는 약용매에서 용해될 수 있는 지방산 변성 에폭시수지를 합성하였고, 합성한 수지 의 용해도 평가가 이루어졌다. 지방산 변성 에폭시수지를 합성하기 위하여 비스페놀A형, 페놀 노볼락형 및 오르소 크레졸 노볼락형의 3종류 에폭시수지를 사용하였고, 여기에 지방산, dodecyl phenol (DP), toluene diisocyanate (TDI)를 도입하였다. 합성조건은 당량기준으로 에폭시수지/지방산 = 1/0.5, 지방산/DP = 0.25/0.25, TDI 0.5이었고, 에폭시수지 종류에 따라 12종류의 지방산 변성 에폭시수지가 합성되었다. 합성 된 지방산 변성 에폭시수지에 대하여 점도 및 용매√가용성을 평가한 결과, 벤젠고리와 글리시딜기의 함량 및 알킬기의 탄소수가 증가할수록 약용매에 대한 용해성이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 약용매에 용해성 이 우수한 지방산 변성 에폭시수지를 사용하여 투명 도료를 제조하여 물성을 평가한 결과, 비스페놀A형 에 폭시수지/지방산/DP/TDI의 당량비가 1.0/0.25/0.25/0.5인 것과 페놀 노볼락형 에폭시수지/지방산/DP의 당량비가 1.0/0.25/0.25인 조성에서 건조시간, 접착력, 도막경도, 내충격성, 내알칼리성에서 양호한 물성을 나타내었다.

        약용매에 용해가 가능한 알킬기 변성 에폭시수지를 합성하기 위하여, 1단계에서 당량비 기준 dodecyl phenol (DP)/formaldehyde = 1.25~1.333/1.0로 하여, 합성된 도데실 페놀 노볼락 화합물의 벤젠 고리수가 3.0~5.0가 되도록 합성하였고, 2단계에서는 당량비 기준으로 1단계에서 합성된 도데실 페놀 노 볼락 화합물/비스페놀A형 에폭시수지 (YD-128) = 1/2로 합성하였고, 3단계는 지방산을 투입하여 지방산 변성 도데실 페놀 노볼락 에폭시수지를 합성하였다. 합성된 수지의 반응성도, 점성도와 분자량 변화, 약용 매 가용성 등을 측정한 결과, 1단계에서 합성된 도데실 페놀 노볼락 화합물의 벤젠고리수가 늘어남에 따라 지방산 변성 도데실 페놀 노볼락 에폭시수지의 점도가 상승하였고, 약용매 가용성이 우수하였다. 도료 제 조 후 물성을 측정한 결과, 개환촉매로 triphenylphosphine(TPP)을 사용한 DPFAC-5는 건조속도, 접착성, 도막경도, 내충격성, 내산성 및 저장안정성이 양호하였다.

        In this work, we synthesize brilliant yellow color α-FeOOH by controlling the rod length and core-shell structure. The characteristics of α-FeOOH nanorods are controlled by the reaction conditions. In particular, the length of the α-FeOOH rods depends on the concentration of the raw materials, such as the alkali solution. The length of the nanorods is adjusted from 68 nm to 1435 nm. Their yellowness gradually increases, with the highest b* value of 57 based on the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) Lab system, by controlling the nanorod length. A high quality yellow color is obtained after formation of a silica coating on the α-FeOOH structure. The morphology and the coloration of the nal products are investigated in detail by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy, and the CIE Lab color parameter measurements.

        The sol-gel method is the simplest method for synthesizing monodispersed silica particles. The purpose of this study is to synthesize uniform, monodisperse spherical silica nanoparticles using tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) as the silica precursor, ethanol, and deionized water in the presence of ammonia as a catalyst. The reaction time and temperature and the concentration of the reactants are controlled to investigate the effect of the reaction parameters on the size of the synthesized particles. The size and morphology of the obtained silica particles are investigated using transmission electron microscopy and particle size analysis. The results show that monodispersed silica particles over a size range of 54-504 nm are successfully synthesized by the sol-gel method without using any additional process. The nanosized silica particles can be synthesized at higher TEOS/H2O ratios, lower ammonia concentrations, and especially, higher reaction temperatures.

        Much attention has been paid to thermally conductive materials for efficient heat dissipation of electronic devices to maintain their functionality and to support lifetime span. Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN), which has a high thermal conductivity, is one of the most suitable materials for thermally conductive composites. In this study, we synthesize h-BN nanocrystals by pyrolysis of cost-effective precursors, boric acid, and melamine. Through pyrolysis at 900oC and subsequent annealing at 1500oC, h-BN nanoparticles with diameters of ~80 nm are synthesized. We demonstrate that the addition of small amounts of Eu-containing salts during the preparation of melamine borate precursors significantly enhanced the crystallinity of h-BN. In particular, addition of Eu assists the growth of h-BN nanoplatelets with diameters up to ~200 nm. Polymer composites containing both spherical Al2O3 (70 vol%) and Eu-doped h-BN nanoparticles (4 vol%) show an enhanced thermal conductivity (λ ~ 1.72W/mK), which is larger than the thermal conductivity of polymer composites containing spherical Al2O3 (70 vol%) as the sole fillers (λ ~ 1.48W/mK).

        프탈산염화물 또는 테레프탈산염화물과 4-니트로페놀로 부터 ortho 및 para catenation을 갖는 방향족 디아 민을 합성하였다. 이 방향족 디아민을 4,4‘-hexafluoroisopropylidenediphthalic anhydride (6FDA)와 반응시켜 폴리이미 드산을 합성하고, 이를 화학적으로 이미드화하여 폴리이미드를 얻었다. 얻어진 폴리이미드는 N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP)에 용해되었으며, 유연하고 질긴 필름으로 캐스팅 되었다. 폴리이미드의 5% 중량 감소는 440 ℃와 525 ℃에서 관찰되어 높은 열 안정성을 가짐을 확인할 수 있었다.

        FRP composites bridge deck has advantages of structural characteristics and rapid construction in the replacements of the deteriorated bridge deck. Although FRP composites have many advantages, the application in the bridge design has been retarded so far due to the lack of design guidelines. In this paper, the design example for the FRP decked concrete composite girder bridges is presented to verify the proposed design method. The design of connection in the design example is the flexible hybrid shear connection included steel reinforcements and FRP tubes. Finally, this paper may be design guideline for FRP decked concrete composite girder bridges required the composite action.

        Recently, the fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) materials have been recognized as advanced materials for bridge construction. The FRP bridge deck system has advantages to construct rapidly, its durability. The FRP bridge decks have accepted as a method of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge deck replacement. For application, design method details and connections for FRP bridge decks will be provided. In this paper, the design method, deck design and connections details on FRP decked precast, prestressed concrete girder bridges is presented. In this study, the design method of efficient connection between FRP deck and concrete girder is proposed with composite action. The schematic of proposed modular FRP panel deck-to-concrete girder connection is also presented, which is the flexible hybrid shear connection included steel reinforcements and FRP tubes. The FRP deck-to-concrete girder hybrid connection system should be improved with further refinement and experimental program. Finally, it is hoped that this paper will be guideline for research and development on this subject field for researchers and engineers

        SLIM AU(A plus U-shaped) composite beam had been developed for not only reducing the story height in residential and commercial building, but also saving the cost of floor construction. The structural performance and economic feasibility was sufficiently approved by means of structural experiments and analytical studies. Even though fire resistance of the SLIM AU composite beam was evaluated throughout furnace fire test, the fire performance of the composite beam using finite element analysis is not analysed yet. Therefore the predictions of fire resistance simulations with loading as well as temperature distribution of the composite beam are summarized in this paper.

Structural performance and economic feasibility of the composite beam have been sufficiently approved through the structural experiments and the analytical studies. However, the verification for fire safety is necessary for the practical application of the composite beam. The fire resistance tests with and without loading were performed for the fire safety verification, and the test results were summarized in this paper.

        연료로부터 벤젠 또는 톨루엔과 같은 유독한 방향족 성분의 제거 및 분리는 최대 허용 농도의 감소로 인해 점점 더 많이 주목 받고 있다. 그 중에서도 가솔 린의 벤젠 함량은 지금 법률상으로 유럽에서 1% 이하로 제한되고 있다. 이러한 분리공정에 있어서 에너지의 소모를 줄이고 분리효율을 높일 수 있는 투과증발 공정이 각광을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 벤젠에 대한 고선택성을 나타내는 sulfonated SEBS 공중합체를 합성하였고, 1H-NMR과 FT-IR 분석을 통해 술폰화 가 되었음을 확인하였다. 혼합물 분리를 위한 투과증발 실험 장치를 제작하여 sulfonated SEBS막을 제조하여 벤젠 조성 변화에 따른 투과증발 실험을 실시하 였으며, 그에 따른 투과유량 및 투과도를 계산하여 투과특성을 확인하였다.

        폴리이미드는 높은 기계적 강도, 내열성, 내화학성을 가지고 있으며 여러 기체에 대하여 우수한 투과선택성을 가지고 있다. 그러나 많은 강점에도 불구하고 유기용제에 대한 낮은 용해성으로 인해 막을 제조할 때 많은 제약을 받고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위해 cardo-type의 diamine을 이용하여 가용성 폴리이미드를 합성하였다. 또한, 합성된 폴리이미드의 성능을 향상시키기 위해 다양한 dianhydride와 diamine 단량체를 첨가하여 폴리이미드 공중합체를 합성하였다. FT-IR을 통해 합성이 성공적으로 이루어졌음을 확인하였고, time-lag를 이용하여 CO2와 CH4의 기체투과특성을 알아보았다.

        Polymeric materials have been widely used in energy-related applications including fabrication of batteries and fuel cells, pressure retarded osmosis, gas separation and reverse electrodialysis processes. Despite these various versatility, their poor mechanical properties still remain as obstacles for applying to industrial levels. As a way of improving the mechanical properties, Tröger's Base (TB) which is a rigid, V-shaped, and bridged bicyclic amine have been recently introduced. In this work, polyimides incorporating TB units (PI-TBs) were synthesized in-situ polycondensation reaction using dimethoxymethane (DMM). PI-TB membranes were prepared and physicochemical characteristics including mechancial properties were investigated.

        Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) are considered as prospective energy conversion systems because of high efficiency and environmental advantage. However, the current PEMFC technology uses commercialized perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) polymers as a proton exchange membrane, which has the issues of high production cost, poor recyclability at intermediate temperature. In this study, We have synthesized a non-fluorinated hydrocarbon membrane. Also, non-fluorinated membrane has a symmetric chemical structure and sulfonated block copolymer was prepared and characterized using 1H-NMR, and the proton conductivity, ion exchange capacity (IEC), and water uptake. properties were evaluated. The synthesis, characteristic and fuel cell performance and newly prepared membrane will be discussed.

        Cellulose acetate-graft-(glycidylmethacrylate-g-polyethylene glycol) (CA-g- (GMA-g-PEG) was synthesized and incorporated into acetylated methyl cellulose (AMC) to prepare high rejection performance ultrafiltration membranes. H1-NMR and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy study confirmed the successful synthesis of CA-g-(GMA-g-PEG) and utilized for hydrophilic modification agent. Polyethyleneimine(PEI), HumicAcid(HA) and Citric Acid(CA) ligands was used to bind the metal ions in aqueous solution.The rejection efficiency of AMC/CA-g-(GMA-g-PEG) blend membranes was studied in terms of pH, concentration and time. The successful developments would allow the safe and economical advancement in the fabrication of AMC blend membranes for ultrafiltration applications.
