This paper considers one vendor-one buyer integrated-production inventory problem. If the buyer orders products, then the vendor will start to make products and then the products will be shipped from the vendor to the buyer many times. The buyer is supposed to order again when the buyer’s inventory level hits reorder point during the last shipment and this cycle keeps repeated. Buyer uses continuous review inventory policy and customer’s demand is assumed to be probabilistic. The contribution of this paper is to develop a new approach for one-vendor-one-buyer integrated production-inventory problem.

This study aimed to evaluate the perceived exertion and satisfaction in opening and closing SUV tailgates and explain them with the mechanical force. The study measured the mechanical open and close force for 42 SUV tailgates and evaluated perceived exertion and satisfaction of opening and closing with 100 male participants from 20’s to 50’s. The regression models of perceived exertion and satisfaction showed that small initial closing and opening force, difference between initial and maximum closing force and difference between initial and auto-fall angle have positive effect. The results of the study will be helpful to design and test mechanical open and close structure of SUV tailgates.

This paper describes the Bayesian approach for reliability demonstration test based on the sequential samples from the one-shot devices. The Bayesian approach involves the technical method about how to combine the prior distribution and the likelihood function to produce the posterior distribution. In this paper, the binomial distribution is adopted as a likelihood function for the one-shot devices. The relationship between the beta-binomial distribution and the Polya’s urn model is explained and is used to make a decision about whether to accept or reject the population of the one-shot devices by one by one then in terms of the faulty goods. A numerical example is also given.

It is important to complete the project within the specified time period and the limited budget in the current rapidly changing business environment. It is difficult to predict the cost of the project in early stage because of the large-scale trend. Budget shortfall due to the failure of cost prediction serves as a higher risk of success. Most previous studies to prevent the risk such as budget shortfall have investigated the direct costs. However, research on the overhead costs are insufficient in terms of both quality and quantity. Direct costs are easily computed for each basis of calculation. But overhead costs that include indirect costs except indirect material cost(IMC) are necessary reasonable and efficient management because they are changed in accordance with the rate of overhead costs. In this paper we introduce an analysis method of overhead costs applied for a Space Launch Vehicle R&D Project.

Recently, Product-Service System(PSS) is a rising paradigm that enables integration between products and services offering. Also, academic interests for product-service design using the house of quality (HOQ) have been emerged. the engineering characteristics of the HOQ are usually extracted by experts. However, as the new technologies were merged, it was difficult to find the optimum expert for extracting the engineering characteristics in the fusion technology. Therefore, this paper applies the topic modeling technique using patent data to extract the engineering characteristics which considers not only products features but also services characteristics. Also, a case study demonstrates the usefulness of our approach with augmented reality-head mounted display. It was conducted to make the HOQ with distinct four steps. First, the customer needs were collected through the latest device review from website and grouped into the representative customer needs. Second, the engineering characteristics of the augmented reality-head mounted display were extracted by using the US patent data of augmented reality head mounted display through the topic modeling technique. Third, the correlation degree of product - service characteristics was drawn by using the extracted topic’s cosine similarity. Finally, the relationship matrix of customer needs and engineering characteristics was filled with experts. After which we suggest product-service business concepts from HOQ. Main advantage is appeared from the result of this research paper is that it can provide the business concepts of the integrated product-services to reflect the customer requirements. This business concepts are utilized for the early phase in R&D planning.

It is common knowledgement that small sized firms have the strategic flexibility for sustainable management. The synergies with existing businesses to secure new growth engine is pregnant to rise as a strong going_concern. But many barriers are existing in stages and processes such as collection of tacit knowledge, design, research, development, human resource, financing, etc.. In this study, a factory automation system maker with design capability , during several years, has had a strategic flexibility which the firm has researched and developed the medical device which measures sodium(Na) and potassium(K) in human urine as its new growth engine for sustainable management. The company mentioned above has had a successful case. The successful case has story as following: From the product development through the process of convergence to the requirements of the medical field, research and development has been selected via the item Concurrent access and macro-environment (PEST) analysis. Among the elements necessary technology to medical equipment research and development design a mechanism part to take full advantage of the core competencies of the existing business, production was biosensor linear DNA Aptamer and chemiluminescence protocol improved while using outsourcing from abroad through a fairy tale. Digestion process was being tried. By analyzing the existing Lab on a Chip and avoid patentrelated patents embody the development concept was to develop diagnostic kits addition, diagnostic equipment exterior design were commissioned to proceed with the design and external specialist. It was confirmed that external consultant to reinforce the innovation capacity shortage, strategic alliances with various support organizations and other companies are very important.

Mobile phone market, a market of the device leading the digital convergence as well as positioning itself as one of the national growth driving industry and as a daily necessity, is led globally by companies that have been actively responding to changes in the so-called Smart Revolution environment. Lately, however, the Smart Phone market is prospected to move from growth phase to mature phase by the scholars. In order for a company to proactively respond to the change in such market condition, it is imperative that they ensure absolute advantage in customer loyalty over their competitors by revolutionising the after-sales service(A/S) quality that will lead to service satisfaction. This study aims to configure what dimensions make up for mobile phone A/S quality, and how this quality affects customer satisfaction and loyalty as well as proposing directions for A/S quality improvement by identifying them case by case to see what dimensions have more impact on customer satisfaction.

경영환경변화와 경쟁환경이 가속화 되면서 고객만족의 개념이 점차 고도화 되어 고객의 요구사항이 시시각각으로 변하고 있다. 고객만족경영을 통해 고객에 대한 품질, 원가, 납기에 대한 우위를 점하기 위해서는 정보의 가치를 극대화해서 의사결정에 반영하여야 한다. 고객의 요구는 고객의 언어로 정성적이고 모호한 특성으로 고객 스스로도 자신의 요구를 정확 하게 표현하지 못하는 경우도 존재한다. 따라서 연구에서는 품질정보시스템 데이터베이스에 축적된 정보를 AHP를 이용하여 공정 담당자의 경험과 직관을 활용하여 급변하는 고객의 요구를 신속하게 추가함으로써 공정의 중요한 관리항목을 선정하는 방법을 제시한다.
