Using the cluster analysis based on the information source and object of technological innovation, technological innovation types of domestic manufacturing firms are categorized into market-oriented external dependent sector, low-profile self-development sector, capital-intensive self-development sector, low-profile technology-activated sector and cost-oriented self-development sector. To analyze the corporation characteristics that determine the three technological innovation types of product innovation, product improvement and process innovation, the bayesian multinomial logit model is employed. This study shows that the types of technological innovation are determined by the firm and the sector characteristics. The study also finds that there are some firm specific characteristics that affect the type of technological innovation, while some other firm characteristics have an effect depending on the sector they are in.

In recent years the design of modular products has become the focus of significant research in the area of design theory and methodology. This phenomenon is due to the power of modularity to achieve certain product objectives. Product modularity has many advantages but it can cause reliability problem which relates to simplicity, clarity, and unity of product components. This paper uses fuzzy cluster identification for classifying the functions into several modules and entropy for measuring reliability. We present the relationship between product modularity and reliability according to the number of modules and components.

Risk Management is an organized method for identifying and measuring risk and for selecting, developing, and implementing options for the handling of risk. The Risk management covers all programatic and technical factors which affect the system development performance, cost, and schedule. While technical issues are primary concern for systems engineering during a program, the three elements(performance, cost, and schedule) must be balanced for a successful risk management process and program. This paper describes the risk management process and intial results for the KSLV-I(Korea Space Launch Vehicle-I) program using computer-aided systems engineering tool, Cradle. The risk management process of KSLV-I program is similar to the general risk management process, but it has its own specific features to manage large-scale complex characteristics of KSLV-I program.

우리나라에서는 일찍이 정부에 의해 품질관리(Quality Control)가 적극 추진되어져 범산업적으로 전개되어지고 있으며 선진각국의 ISO-9000 품질보증체제를 국내 KS 규격에 맞추어 국내 품질심사분야에의 본제도의 도입을 시행하여 생산현장의 근로자들 위주로 추진되어온 품질관리제도가 최고 경영진들을 비롯한 모든 종업원들이 참여하는 품질경영(Quality Management)체제로 바뀌어야만 하고 실정에 따라 정부에서도 선진회된 품질경영표준규격(ISO9000 시리즈, 국제표준화기구: 국제 무역 및 기술교류의 촉징을 목적으로 국제 규격을 제정 보급하도록 설립된 국제기구)을 도입하고 이를 전 산업에 확산․발전시키고자 ISO 9000시리즈를 한국의 산업 규격(KS9000)으로 채택하고 이 규격에 의한 품질 보증 시스템 인증 제도를 실시하고자 많은 노력을 기울였다. 그러나 2001년 새로은 ISO 규격이 국내 KS규격에 적용됨에 따라 약 2년이상의 시간이 지나도 국내 제조산업에서의 적용이 미비하다고 생각되는바 새로운 규격의 제조 현장의 도입의 시급함을 느끼며 광대한 KS규격 가운데 통계적 품질관리에서 사용되는 검정과 추정, 관리도, 샘플링, 실험게획법에 대하여 살펴보기로 한다.

A series of studies on determining optimal quantities of CSP(concurrent spare parts) were conducted by many researchers. but most of them are focused on system availability model. On this study we'll introduce the weighting rate of each CSP to find a solution to optimal quantities of CSP which are acquired for using considerably long time. As the weighting rate, the concept of NORS(Not Operationally Readiness Supply) was used. To solve the problem, this paper proposes a new CSP model which can be used in permitting backorder flexibly. Through the simple experiment, we validated the mathematical model which was suggested in this paper. Also, we determined the purchasing quantities of each item minimizing total system costs under an available budget constraints.

This study presents the new dispatching rules of job shop scheduling with auxiliary resource constraint to improve the schedule performance measures related to completion time and duedates. The proposed dispatching rules consider the information of total work remaining and machine utilization to decrease mean flowtime and mean tardiness. The results of computer experiments show that those schedule performances are significantly improved by using the new dispatching rules. The results provide guidance for the researchers and practitioners of auxiliary resource constrained job shop scheduling to decrease mean flowtime and mean tardiness.

This paper presents the practical goals and approaches to drive forward informatization of small and medium enterprises(SMES). The presented goals such as productivity, duedate, production cost, and quality measurements are used effectively in the previous diagnosis and the post evaluation for the business of the informatization. As the practical approaches to improve these goals, I consider the importance of balancing, sequencing, scheduling. These methods ease the congestion of production sites of SMES with insufficient competitiveness and can contribute to the promotion of informatization that improves productivity and cuts down the cost of production effectively.

Recently, a matter of the highest priority that the company must do for the satisfaction of customer service is that the company ensure the competitive power throughout the strategic cooperation in the market environment changing rapidly. In this situation, one of allied strategies is the supply chain management strategies. This paper suggests how to increase customer service and to decrease inventory throughout construction of the inventory sharing system among networked company. For this, we experimented the effect of the inventory information sharing system on the supply chain dynamics by using the simulation modeling and analyzed the validity about construction of the inventory sharing system presented in this study. The simulation is designed by Vensim(Process simulation package) and has some feedback loops.

The purpose of this study is to propose guidelines for introducing the Just-In-Time (JIT) production system to enhance the competitiveness of Korean manufacturing companies. This study employed an extensive survey on the use of the JIT production systems among different korean manufacturing companies to understand the current status of the JIT production system in use and to identify the benefits from implementing JIT production system. The survey has covered 170 manufacturing companies of different sizes from various sectors of Korean industries including electronics, automobiles, machineries, and textiles. In conclusion, our research results support that the JIT production system would contribute to increase the manufacturing performances of Korean manufacturing companies through lower inventory level and increased quality level.

This paper addresses the financial performance effect according to the implementation of SCM packages. Eight financial performance measures were selected based on the literature review. KIS-FAS2004 data on the fifteen companies that implemented SCM packages before December, 2003 were collected to test the effect of SCM implementation. The obtained experimental results show that there are some differences on financial performance measures between before and after the SCM implementation.

인터넷이 현대사회의 많은 부분을 대체해 감에 따라서 Off-line에서 이루어지던 중고자동차의 매매 역시 On-line에서의 매매가 활발해 지고 있다. 이러한 On-Line에서의 장점은 매매차량등록의 편의성과 지역적 제약을 받지 않는다는 점 등을 들 수 있으며, 이로 인하여 빠른 거래가 성사될 수 있다. 또한 매매상사의 중간마진을 없앰으로써 거래당사자간의 상호이익도 극대화될 수 있다. 반면에 객관적인 검사를 통한 신뢰성의 결여, 이로 인한 적정가격 산출의 어려움, 구매희망자와의 잦은 상담 가능성 등의 단점을 들 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 On-line 거래의 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 데이터마이닝 기법을 다룬다. 이 데이터마이닝 기법은 의사결정나무와 다중회귀분석을 포함하며, 각각 E-miner와 Statgraphics를 이용하여 분석되었다. E-miner를 활용한 의사결정나무를 도출하기 위하여 DATA의 전처리과정에 따른 비교분석이 수행되었으며, DATA는 학습용과 평가용으로 구분하여 이용되었다. 학습용 DATA에 기반하여 두 가지 기법에 대한 지식과 모델이 각각 도출되었으며, 이들 각각에 대한 비교평가가 이루어졌다. 또한 평가용 DATA에 대하여도 각각의 비교평가가 이루어졌으며. 이에 기초하여 보다 나은 On-line 매매지원시스템이 결정되었다.

The importance of strategic operation on the IT outsourcing israpidly increasing. The selection process of IT outsourcer plays a critical role since the service quality determined by IT outsourcer is directly linked with each other. While the importance of the selection process is realized, it is still quite drift and subjective. This paper proposes an evaluation model that helps a decision group to select a proper IT outsourcer among alternatives by using Analytic Hierarchy Program, AHP. In this paper, the web system is designed the way that focuses on group decision making with a geometric mean method, GMM, of AHP for IT outsourcer selection.

The National Education Information System(NEIS) has been utilized in primary and secondary schools. In this paper, we consider the NEIS should be used not only for educational administration affairs, but also for a lifelong management of national human resource. The current School Information Management System(SIMS), including the NEIS, is unsatisfactory due to the insufficiency of actual field suitability and end-user's conveniency. To this, we have devised improvements of the SIMS in the seven problem areas: (1) The core business process of the school should be analyzed sufficiently and reflected in SIMS. (2) We should fully utilize groupware functions which activate the learning organization. (3) We might apply and use the CRM techniques of enterprises in SIMS. (4) The SIMS should be easy to make necessary school assessment data. (5) We should complement functions of the SIMS for a lifelong healthcare information management of national human resource. (6) The SIMS should support the school lunch management. (7) We should bring BOM and workflow concepts into the SIMS.

This paper presents the application of integrated mathematical programming approach for the design of cellular manufacturing. The cores of the proposed approach are two phases; concurrently a dealing with exceptional elements(EEs) and cell formation and facilities layout design. A policy dealing with EEs considers minimizing the total costs of three important costs ; (1) intercellular transfer (2) machine duplication and (3) subcontracting. And important issue is the calculation of the number of machines needed by considering the maximum utilization of machines and the available capacity of a machine that can be transferred for intercell moving is an key. Facilities layout design is considered to reflect the real field data such as the operation sequence of the parts to be manufactured. quadratic. The model is formulated as mixed integer programming that is presented to find the optimal solution.

환경이란 우리주변을 둘러싸고 있는 물리적인 모든 것들을 뜻하는 것으로 주로 대기, 수질, 토양을 일컫는 말이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 환경이라는 범위 안에서 가장 이슈가 되고 있는 오염 배출 물질 문제에 관한 것으로, 그 중 오염 배출 물질의 모니터링 방법에 관해서 다루고 있다. 환경 분야에서도 환경오염 배출 물질에 대한 비정상적인 변화나 시스템적인 패턴 등을 감지하는 목적으로 일반적으로 공정관리에서 주로 쓰이는 통계적 공정관리 기법 중 하나인 관리도를 사용하기 시작했다. 본 연구에서도 이러한 통계적 공정관리 기법을 환경관리 분야에 적용하여 공정관리에서 쓰이는 공정능력과 관리도의 개념을 환경문제에 적용시켜 오염 배출 물질에 대한 환경 관리 능력을 평가, 모니터링 하는 새로운 평가지표의 관리도를 제안, 설계하고자 한다.

Petri Nets(PNs), as a graphical and mathematical tool, provide a uniform environment for modeling, formal analysis, and design of discrete event systems. The main objective of this paper is to model and analyze the manufacturing system using PNs as well as simulate the manufacturing system. The analysis method used in this paper is Embedded Markov Chain(EMC) method for Generalized Stochastic Petri nets(GSPN). The simulation tools used in this paper are Arena and Simnet V. 1.37. The results of three methods, EMC method, PNs simulation and Arena simulation, are obtained and compared.
