        In alignment with South Korea's “3020 Renewable Energy Expansion Plan,” this study focuses on the developing large-scale floating wind turbines. It addresses the challenges of increased size and cost in floating structures for wind turbines over 10MW. This paper details the preliminary design of a novel floating substructure utilizing composite materials(ie, EVA). Structural analysis was performed using ABAQUS, accounting for both typical and extreme wind conditions. Results from the analysis validate that the substructure design is adequately feasible for implementation.

        Molten Salt Reactor, which employs molten salt mixture as fuel, has many advantages in reactor size and operation compared to conventional nuclear reactor. In developing Molten Salt Reactor, the behavior of fission product in operation should be preliminary evaluated for the correct design of reactor and its associated system including off-gas treatment. In this study, for 100 Mw 46 KCl- 54 UCl3 based Molten Salt Reactor with operating life time of 20 year, the fission product behavior was estimated by thermodynamic modeling employing FactSage 8.2. Total inventory of all fission product were firstly calculated using OpenMC code allowing depletion during neutronic calculation. Then, among all inventory, 46 element species from Uranium to Holmium were chosen and given to the input for equilibrium module of Factsage with its mass. In phase equilibrium calculation, for the correct description of solution phase, KCl-UCl3 solution database based on modified quasichemical model in the quadruplet approximation (ANL/CFCT-21/04) was employed and the coexisting solid phase was assumed to pure state. With the assumption of no oxygen and moisture ingress into reactor system, equilibrium calculation showed that 1% of solid phase and of gas phase were newly formed and, in gas phase, major species were identified : ZrCl4 (47%), Xe (33%), UCl4 (14%), Kr (5%), Ar (1%) and others. This result reveals that off-gas treatment of system should account for the appropriate treatment of ZrCl4 and UCl4 besides treatment of noble gas such as Xe and Kr.

        로터 블레이드는 조류발전 터빈의 매우 중요한 구성 요소로서, 해수의 높은 밀도로 인해 큰 추력(Trust force)와 하중(Load)의 영 향을 받는다. 따라서 블레이드의 형상 및 구조 설계를 통한 성능과 복합소재를 적용한 블레이드의 구조적 안전성을 반드시 확보해야 한 다. 본 연구에서는 블레이드 설계 기법인 BEM(Blade Element Momentum) 이론을 이용해 1MW급 대형 터빈 블레이드를 설계하였으며, 터빈 블레이드의 재료는 강화섬유 중의 하나인 GFRP(Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics)를 기본으로 CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics)를 샌드위치 구조에 적용해 블레이드 단면을 적층(Lay-up)하였다. 또한 유동의 변화에 따른 구조적 안전성을 평가하기 위해 유체-구조 연성해석 (Fluid-Structure Interactive Analysis, FSI) 기법을 이용한 선형적 탄성범위 안의 정적 하중해석을 수행하였으며, 블레이드의 팁 변형량, 변형 률, 파손지수를 분석해 구조적 안전성을 평가하였다. 결과적으로, CFRP가 적용된 Model-B의 경우 팁 변형량과 블레이드의 중량을 감소시 켰으며, 파손지수 IRF(Inverse Reserce Factor)가 Model-A의 3.0*Vr를 제외한 모든 하중 영역에서 1.0 이하를 지시해 안전성을 확보할 수 있었 다. 향후 블레이드의 재료변경과 적층 패턴의 재설계뿐 아니라 다양한 파손이론을 적용해 구조건전성을 평가할 예정이다.

        Molten Salt Reactor, which employs molten salt mixture as fuel, has many advantages in reactor size and operation compared to conventional nuclear reactor. In developing Molten Salt Reactor, Offgas system should be properly designed since the fission products in off-gas accelerates the corrosion in reactor structure materials and deteriorates the purity of liquid fuel. The design of off-gas system therefore requires the preliminary study of the behavior of evolved fission products in off-gas units and the development of off-gas model is crucial in developing such system. In this study, we corrected the off-gas illustrative model proposed by ORNL (Nuclear Engineering and Design, vol 385(15) 111529, 2021) by employing physically consistent concept of capture rate of fission product and holdup. For the application of the corrected off-gas model to Chloride-based 6 MW Molten Salt Reactor, major fission products were firstly determined from OpenMC based neutronics calculation and chain reaction related to the major fission products were defined. Based on these data, the holdup behavior of fission products in off-gas units (decay tank, caustic scrubber, Halide trap, H2O trap and charcoal bad) were investigated.

        In korea, 500MW standard coal fired power plants were designed and operated for the initial base load, so facility stability was prioritized from facility problem to treatment, but now we needed to research for minimizing greehouse gas emissions at the operation of coal fired power plants. research on various facilities and technologies was actively conducted to reduce environment pollutants was drastically reduced, but research and attempts on coping measures in the event of a reduction facility problem were in sufficient. this study considered investigated ways to minimized pollutants by quickly responding to logic development and application of the load runback concept in case of serious problems with environmental pollutant reduction facilities such as NOx reduction selective catalytic reduction facilities, SOx reduction wet flue gas desulpherisation facilities, and TSP(Total Suspended Particles) collection low temperature electric precipitator.

        A Emergency Diesel Generator(EDG) in Nuclear Power Plant supplies electrical power to reactor cooling system when on/off site power is lost. So that protect the reactor from melting down. A Emergency Diesel Generator is required to reach ±2% of rated frequency(rotational speed) within 10 sec. To achieve prompt start, it is needed to find out affective factors and effect of that during starting period. This paper describes case of fail to achieve starting requirement and improvement of starting performance.

        신재생에너지 신규설비 보급이 매년 꾸준히 증가하고 있으며, 그중 개발 확장성이 풍부하고 생산유발계수가 큰 해상풍력 시장이 급성장하고 있다. 특히 서남해 권역은 최고 수준의 해상풍력 잠재량을 보유하고 있으며, 관련 프로젝트들이 추진 중이다. 본 연구는 점토층 지반에 효과적인 해상풍력 하부구조물의 개발에 있어 EUROCODE에 의한 구조물의 설계 절차를 제시하고 구조 안전성을 고찰하여 관련 기술 분야에 이바지함을 목표로 한다. 선행연구에서는 풍력발전기 용량이 5MW급을 주요 대상으로 하였으나, 서남해 해상 풍력발전기 시장의 기술 추세에 부합하는 발전 용량 8MW급을 연구 모델로 선정하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 서남해 지질 조건에 부합하는 하부구조물을 개발하고, 구조 안전성을 유한요소법을 활용하여 검증하였다. 초기 설계안에서 일부 구간을 보강하여 구조 안전성을 확보하였다. 본 연구 결과를 기반으로 하여, 향후 다양한 형태의 하부구조물에 대한 구조 안전성 평가가 가능하며, 전문화된 구조 설계 및 평가 기준을 확립하였다.

        The phase properties of ground acceleration records from Mw 5.5~6.5 earthquakes are analyzed. The interrelationships between phase properties and significant durations, as well as PGA, are clarified through both of theoretical and empirical approaches. The probabilistic characteristics of phase information is also discussed based on previous studies and it is shown that circular normal distribution is the most appropriate probability distribution for the phase angle and phase difference. Whereas those variates can be modeled by Gaussian random variables. From the survey results on the frequency dependency of the phase statistics, a simple model is introduced, which is possible to express the frequency dependency of phase information. It is also shown that the significant duration can be controlled by appropriately chosen standard deviation of phase difference for 4~8Hz frequency band and additional consideration of phase scattering in higher frequency band through a series of Monte Carlo simulations. The source of phase scattering effect is also pointed out and discussed.

        본 연구에서는 운전 정지 상태로 회전하지 않는 수평축 해상 풍력터빈 로터에서 발생하는 풍하중을 풍속, 요 각도, 방위각, 피치 각도를 달리하면서 대기경계층 내에서 작동하는 조건으로 평가하였다. 하중 예측 결과의 검증을 위해 단순화 한 블레이드 형상에 대한 블레이드 요소이론과 단순 계산치를 이용하여 얻어낸 공력 하중을 상호 비교하였으며, 코드와 비틀림 각도가 블레이드 스팬 방향에 따라 변하는 NREL 5 MW급 대형풍력터빈 로터에 대해서는 NREL에서 개발한 FAST 해석 결과와 본 연구의 해석 결과를 비교 함으로써 해석 결과의 정확도를 검증하였다. 로터의 하중은 허브 중심을 원점으로 하는 고정된 3축 좌표계에 대해서 힘과 모멘트로 표현되는 6분력 하중으로 나타내었다. 따라서 이 결과는 풍력터빈 시스템의 동적 거동 해석과 로터에서 발생되는 전도 모멘트를 견디기 위해 필요한 지지 구조물의 기초하중 자료로 적용할 수 있다.

        The non-reacting flow field and the movement of sand particles inside a 30MW circulating fluidized bed combustor is numerically simulated via the finite volume method. The primary air is supplied through 23x23 array of nozzles located on the bottom and the secondary air is supplied through 12 inlet pipes located on the side walls. The steady state velocity field shows that a very complex flow pattern is formed in the lower part of the combustor. As the gas moves upward, the velocity magnitude decreases and the gas exits the combustor after hitting the top wall. To investigate the behavior of sand particles with different diameters, a particle tracking calculation is performed by introducing sand particles continuously at the z=3 m plane. For the given air flow rate condition, sand particles smaller than 0.3 mm show a complex movement pattern near the secondary air inlet and then rise toward the outlet.

        This study investigates dynamic characteristics of a 2MW wind turbine structure by long-term response monitoring with accelerometers, tiltmeter and strain gauges. The object wind turbine structure is located in Jeju Island, Korea. The natural frequency and damping ratio were evaluated by least-square frequency domain decomposition and random decrement technique using acceleration response data. As a result, it was found that natural frequencies with 1st, 2nd and 3rd modes, and blade passing frequencies with 1P, 2P and 3P were clearly showed from power spectral densities of acceleration reponses. Furthermore, 1st model frequencies were almost constant with increase in standard deviations of acceleration responses. Another notable observation was that when standard deviations of acceleration responses were small, damping ratios showed to diverge. However, when standard deviations of acceleration responses had large values, damping ratios were converged to about 0.5%.

        Cylindrical steel shell sections have been applied in various engineering fields particularly in recent installations of wind turbine towers. Hence, many researchers are interested in studying cylindrical steel shell structures. However, studies on the effect of the presence or absence of openings are insufficient. Thus, the design criteria for the opening as well as the behavior of wind turbine tower are not clearly presented. Therefore, this study examines the ultimate strength and the behavior of wind tower in consideration of openings, presence of stiffeners, changes in opening width, and thickness variation of stiffeners. ABAQUS, a universal finite element analysis program, was used in to conduct this research. Finally, the results of this study can be a reference for the design and production of wind towers with openings.

        최근 신재생 에너지 중 하나인 풍력발전에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 풍력발전은 토지구입비, 소음문제에 자유로운 해상풍력으로 추세가 옮겨가고 있으며 이를 위한 연구개발이 전 세계적으로 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 해상에 위치한 풍력발전을 위한 설계기준은 국내, 국외 모두 없는 실정이다. 이 점을 고려하여 국내, 국외의 구조설계기준인 도로교 설계기준, 항만 및 어항 설계기준, DNV OS를 참고하여 다중 파일기초 콘크리트 지지구조물(MCF)의 내진해석을 수행하여 결과를 비교하였다. 또한 시간에 의한 효과를 확인하기 위하여 시간이력 해석 또한 수행되었다. 부가질량법(Added-mass method)을 사용하여 물과 구조의 상호작용을 고려하였고 물의 유무에 따라 구조물의 반응을 비교하였다.
