        The purpose of this paper is to understand how customer relationship termination (i.e., preparation and process), alone or in combination with customer involvement, contributes to the new product development outcome. While termination preparation has a synergistic effect with customer involvement, the termination process has a trade-off relationship with customer involvement.

        The goal of the decommissioning of nuclear facilities is to remove the regulations from the Nuclear Safety Act. The media that can be considered at the time of remediation stage may usually include soils, buildings, and underground materials. In addition, underground materials may largely be the groundwater, buried pipes, and concrete structures. In fact, it can be seen that calculations of the Derived Concentration Guideline Level (DCGL) and ALARA action levels was conducted in the case of overseas decommissioning experiences of Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs). Therefore, the aim of this study is to review the remediation activities and scenarios applied for the calculation of ALARA action level from the overseas decommissioned nuclear power plants. Media that can be considered for DCGL calculation at the time of license termination may differ from site to site. If the DCGL for the target media was derived, whether additional remediation actions are required under the DCGL value from the ALARA perspective was identified by calculating the ALARA action levels in the case of the U.S. The activities to determine whether additional clean-up is justified under the regulatory criteria are remediation actions which is dependent on the material contaminated. Therefore, the typical materials that can be subjected to remediation are soils and structure basements in the overseas cases. Remediation actions involved in the decommissioning process on the structure surfaces can be typically considered to be scabbling, shaving, needle guns, chipping, sponge and abrasive blasting, pressure washing, washing and wiping, grit blasting, and removal of contaminated concrete. For the cost-benefit analysis of the media subject to DCGL calculation, it is necessary to assume a scenario for the remediation actions of the target media. The scenarios can be largely divided into two types. Those are basement fill and building occupancy scenario. In basement fill mode, buildings and structures on the site are removed, and the effect of receptors from the contamination of the remaining structures is considered. In the building occupancy mode, it is assumed that the standing building remains on the site after the remediation stage. It is a situation to evaluate how the effect of additional remediation actions changes as the receptors occupy inside of the contaminated building. Therefore, parameters such as population density, area being evaluated, monetary discount rate, numbers of years, etc. can be set and assessed according to the scenarios.

        환매제도는 수용토지의 소유자의 재산권을 보장하기 위하여 고안된 제 도이다. 토지수용에 대한 보상이 재산권의 가치보장이라면, 환매제도는 존속보장을 이념으로 한다. 환매제도는 헌법 제23조를 근거로 하면서, 개별법에서 상세한 규정을 두고 있다. 그러나 현행법의 규정은 환매제도의 목적에 비추어 충분한 규정이라고 보기 어렵다. 환매제도에 대한 기존의 논의는 수용과 보상과 비교하여 상대적으로 소홀하였던 것으로 보인다. 그 이유는 헌법상 정당보상원리 가 주로 강제수용에 대한 보상차원에서 논의되었기 때문인 것으로 보인 다. 환매제도의 이론적 배경을 감정의 존중으로 보았던 전통적인 논의가 그 예이다. 그러나 재산권의 보장은 가치보장 보다는 존속보장이 우선적인 것이라 고 할 것이다. 그렇다면 강제수용시의 공공의 필요는 발생요건 뿐만 아 니라 존속요건으로서도 이해할 수 있겠다. 따라서 공공의 필요가 소멸된 다면 원래 수용이 없었던 상태로 원상회복시켜주는 것이 타당한 것이다. 이러한 점에서 환매제도는 단순히 감정의 존중이라고 할 수 없고 헌법이 보장한 재산권의 존속보장 내지 정당보상차원에서 논의되어야 하는 것이 다. 이와 같이 환매제도를 수용의 보상 차원에서 접근하게 되면 현행 규정 은 많은 문제점을 가지고 있으므로 대폭적인 개선이 필요하다. 먼저 환 매권을 제한하는 각종 규정이 폭넓게 인정되고 있다는 점이다. 환매발생 요건을 엄격하게 규정하고 있으며, 행사기간이 매우 짧은 등 그 행사가 어려운 점을 들 수 있다. 공익 필요의 소멸시 환매권을 제한하는 각종 규정 즉 공익의 변환문제, 국토계획법과의 충돌 등의 규정은 환매권을 실질적으로 제한하는 규정으로서 문제가 있다. 또한, 환매제도가 개별법 상 다양하게 규정되어 있는데 공공필요의 소멸이라는 환매권의 발생요건 이 동일한 이상 요건, 행사 등의 제반 내용을 통일적으로 규정할 필요가 있다. 통일된 규정은 토지보상법에 규정을 두는 것이 타당하다.

        The aim of this study was to compare the duration of hamstring flexibility improvement after 3 stretching interventions in people with limited hamstring flexibility. Twenty-two subjects (12 men, 10 women) with limited hamstring flexibility of the dominant leg received 3 stretching interventions— modified dynamic stretching (MDS), hold-relax (HR), and static stretching (SS)—in a random order. All the subjects received all 3 interventions at intervals of at least 24 hours to minimize any carry-over effect. Modified dynamic stretching was applied as a closed kinetic chain exercise in the supine position by using the sling suspension system (Redcord Trainer®). The SS and HR interventions were individually performed in the straight leg raising (SLR) position, and all 3 interventions were performed for 3 minutes. Outcome measures included passive knee extension (PKE) measurements. Five post-test measurements were recorded for all subjects at 3, 6, 9, 15, and 30 minutes after the interventions. MDS was associated with a significant increase in knee extension range of motion even at 30 minutes post-treatment. In contrast, the HR and SS stretching methods showed increased hamstring flexibility for only 6 minutes post-treatment. Improvements in the range of motion of knee extension (indicating enhancement in hamstring flexibility) with MDS were maintained longer than those with the HR and SS interventions. Therefore, MDS may be more effective than the other interventions for maintaining hamstring flexibility.

        In this work, we report in-situ observations of changes in catalyst morphology, and of growth termination of individual carbon nanotubes (CNTs), by complete loss of the catalyst particle attached to it. The observations strongly support the growth-termination mechanism of CNT forests or carpets by dynamic morphological evolution of catalyst particles induced by Ostwald ripening, and sub-surface diffusion. We show that in the tip-growth mode, as well as in the base-growth mode, the growth termination of CNT by dissolution of catalyst particles is plausible. This may allow the growth termination mechanism by evolution of catalyst morphology to be applicable to not only CNT forest growth, but also to other growth methods (for example, floating-catalyst chemical vapor deposition), which do not use any supporting layer or substrate beneath a catalyst layer.

        The bean bug, Riptortus pedestris (=clavatus) Fabricius (Hemiptera: Alydidae) is a serious pest of soybean in many countries. It enters a reproductive diapause in the winter by short day length (<13.5 h.) in Korea and Japan. The combined effects of temperatures (25℃ and 8℃) and day lengths (10L:14D and 14L:10D) upon the termination of the male"s diapause were studied. The combinations are ① HTLD = 25℃, 14L:10D treatment for 1, 2, 3 weeks and 30 days, ② HTSD = 25℃, 10L:14D treatment for 1, 2, and 3 weeks, ③ LTLD→HTLD = 8℃, 14L:10D treatment for 1, 2, and 3 weeks followed by HTLD treatment, ④ LTSD→HTLD = 8℃, 10L:14D treatment for 1, 2, and 3 weeks followed by HTLD. The amount of aggregation pheromone components secreted was adopted as the criteria for diapause termination in males. Males did not secrete aggregation pheromone under HTSD conditions. However, the males treated with HTLD for more than 21 days secreted significantly higher amounts of aggregation components, (E)-2-hexenyl (Z)-3-hexenoate and (E)-2-hexenyl (E)-2-hexenoate, compared to the control or HTSD treatments. The three components of the aggregation pheromone were secreted by the 14%, 29%, and 100% males treated with HTLD for 7 days, respectively. However more than 83% of the HTLD-treated males secreted all three components by the 30<SUP>th</SUP> day under the treatment. In comparison, the pheromone amounts secreted by the males treated with LTLD→HTLD or LTSD→HTLD were equal or less than those secreted by males with continuous HTLD treatment.

        The bean bug, Riptortus clavatus Thunberg (Hemiptera: Alydidae), is a pest of soybeans and tree fruits. It enters reproductive diapause during winter. We studied the effect of different combinations of temperature, day length, and treatment period on the termination of diapause in R. clavatus using adult females collected in October and November 2006. Ovarian development was used to determine diapause termination. The treatments were: ① HTLD, 25℃, 14L:10D treatment for 1, 2, 3 weeks and 30 days, ② HTSD, 25℃, 10L:14D treatment for 1, 2, and 3 weeks, ③ LTLD, 8℃, 14L:10D treatment for 1, 2, and 3 weeks followed by HTLD for 3 weeks, and ④ LTSD, 8℃, 10L:14D treatment for 1, 2, and 3 weeks followed by HTLD for 3 weeks. The HTSD treatments did not affect ovarian development, and resulted in no significant difference in the number of mature eggs in ovaries or the percentage of diapause-terminated females compared to the control females before treatment. The percentage of females that terminated diapause was significantly higher in the HTLD treatment than in the HTSD treatment. The HTLD treatment for more than 14 days increased the percentage of diapause-terminated females, accelerated the development of the ovaries, and increased the number of mature eggs in ovaries. Compared with the HTLD or HTSD treatments, the LTLD or LTSD treatments followed by the HTLD treatment accelerated ovarian development and increased the number of ovipositing females. The pre-LTSD treatment for 1 week was enough to increase the number of eggs oviposited.

        In order to establish an indoor-rearing system for A. Alcinous, the effect of temperature and pupal diapause was investigated. Temperature has been suggested as an important factor in determining the developmental rate, Lifespan and mortality in invertebrates. As temperature increase, the developmental period was gradually reduced. The developmental period of A. alcinous larvae was 12.9 days and 25.8 days at 30℃ and 20℃, respectively. And we investigated the effect of different chilling days on diapause termination. Under longday condition(LD 16:8h, 20℃) oxygen consumption gradually increase. But oxygen consumption on the first day of pupa was the highest and rapidly fell down the next day and attained lowest point after 7days, with average value of 1.92mol/min/g under shortday condition(LD 8:16h). Diapause pupae were chilled for 60, 75, 90, 105 days at 8℃ and thereafter subjected to LD 16:8h at 25℃. And emergence rate at 60~90days was 57.1~80.7%.

        Temperature effects on diapause termination of Paratlanticus ussuriensis eggs were studied by measuring embryonic development and hatching rates at various conditions of indoor chilling and overwintering temperatures. Diapausing eggs of P. ussuriensis did not hatch at continued incubation at 25℃ and even after chilling for once at either 5℃ or 10℃ for 30, 45 and 60 days. In addition, double chillings at 5℃ with a 90 days interval at 25℃ did not induce hatching of diapausing eggs. However, double chillings at 10℃ induced hatching at 3.6~26.7%. When eggs were incubated at 25℃ after chilling for once at 5℃ for various periods, those weights were not changed but those chilled at 10℃ gradually increased to approximately 1.5 times. When 60-days-old eggs were artificially deposited under the soil at three different mountain sites in September 2007, the hatching rates of the first-overwintered eggs were 11.3, 3.5 and 4.1% and those of the second-overwintered eggs were 25.1, 21.6 and 0.4% at Hoepori, Bitanri and Hwasanri, respectively. Most eggs were hatched from mid-March to mid-April but little bit earlier in southern regions. During the hatching period soil temperatures in three tested locations were around 8 to 12℃. In overall, diapausing eggs of P. ussuriensis were greatly influenced by chilling temperature conditions and those repeated cycles, and may required overwintering for one or two times to hatch for the post-embryonic development.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between delays in initiation and termination of tibialis anterior contraction through surface electromyographic (sEMG) analysis in adults with hemiplegia and healthy subjects and clinical assessment of lower-limb mobility. EMG activity of 6 long-term survivors of stroke and 5 healthy subjects was recorded during maximal isometric ankle dorsiflexion in 3 seconds beeper signals. It must be done as fast and forcefully as possible. Lower limb mobility was assessed with Modified Emory Functional Ambulation Profile (mEFAP). Delay in initiation and termination of muscle contraction was significantly prolonged in the affected lower limb relative to the unaffected limb. Termination of muscle contraction in the hemiplegic lower limb was significantly delayed than the initiation on the affected sides. Delay in initiation and termination of muscle contraction correlated significantly with a few range of mEFAP. Abnormally delayed initiation and termination of muscle contraction may contribute to hemiparetic lower limb mobility in hemiparetic patients. Consequently, this study showed that abnormal delay of initiation and termination of muscle contraction may contribute to hemiparetic lower limb mobility in adults with hemiplegia. Further studies are needed to demonstrate a treatment effect.

        The purposes of this study were to investigate the median frequency (MDF) between initiation and termination of muscle contraction through surface electromyographic (sEMG) analysis and to propose the basis of clinical treatment for movement problems in early hemiparetic upper limbs. Thirteen patients who had stroke with onset less than 3 months prior to the study and seven control subjects participated in the study. The median frequency in initiation and termination of muscle contraction was recorded from wrist flexor and extensor muscles using the sEMG, with 3 second beeper signals, during maximal isometric wrist flexion and extension. Flexion and extension must be done as quickly and forcefully as possible. The results of the study were as follows: 1. The MDF of the onset and offset sections were significantly lower on the paretic than the nonparetic and control sides. 2. The MDF of the offset section significantly decreased on the paretic and nonparetic sides. Consequently, this study showed that the lowering of the MDF was due to the hemiparetic wrist motor impairment and muscle weakness. These results are also related to Fugl-Meyer motor assessment (FMA) scores in hemiparetic upper limbs. This study also suggests that since muscle weakness of early stroke patients affects the functional decrease of upper limbs, further studies must focus on the treatment to improve muscle agility and muscle fiber recruitment efficiency that can induce the functional recovery correlated to motor control.
