        In this study, the change in the mold opening stroke of important functional parts according to the 20, 50, 80, and 100% increase in the injection speed of a hydraulic 150 ton hydraulic injection molding machine was studied to verify the accuracy of the injection speed and mold opening stroke and the reproducibility of the standard deviation. The null and alternative hypotheses were confirmed by conducting hypothesis verification according to the experimental condition change using the experimental design method.

        In domestic nuclear power plants, drums of concentrated radioactive waste solidified with paraffin that do not meet radioactive waste disposal standards are stored temporarily. In this paper, the design of a machine that separates these paraffin drums into paraffin and concentrated waste using heating vaporization and pressure difference is described. The separation process is as follows. First, the paraffin solid is indirectly heated by heating the outside of the drum. The paraffin solid is partially melted to increase the fluidity and is easily detached from the drum. The detached solid is transferred to the melting tank, and further heated in the melting tank. When the temperature is sufficiently high, paraffin is melted and becomes a mixture of liquid paraffin and concentrated waste homogeneously. The mixed solution is transferred to a paraffin recovery vessel and further heated. The vaporization point of paraffin is 370°C under atmospheric pressure, and becomes lower depending on the pressure decreasing in the vessel. The vaporization point of the paraffin is a relatively low value compared to the radioactive elements in the concentrated waste, and therefore only paraffin would be vaporized. A paraffin transfer pipe is installed on the upper part of the paraffin recovery vessel, and is connected to another tank called the paraffin capture vessel. The pressure of the paraffin capture vessel is reduced (i.e. vacuum condition), only gaseous paraffin is transferred to the paraffin capture vessel by the pressure difference. When the paraffin capture vessel is cooled below the vaporization point of the paraffin, the paraffin is liquefied or solidified, and only the paraffin is recovered. Based on the above process, the solidified paraffin could be separated into pure paraffin and concentrated waste. However, if a radioactive element with a lower vaporization point than paraffin exists in the concentrated waste, it may be mixed with paraffin and separated together. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the radioactivity or radiation dose rate for the separated paraffin, and to verify that it is sufficiently low. If necessary, additional separation process may be considered for removing radioisotopes from the paraffin.

        본 연구는 효과적인 열전도를위한 거시적 구조 구성과 단위 구조 변화의 동시 설계를 위한 위상 최적화 방법을 제시한다. 거시적 규모의 구조 내에서 위치에 따른 단위 구조의 형태 변화는 거시적 규모뿐만 아니라 미시적 단위의 설계도 가능하며 등방성 단위 구조를 사용하는 것보다 더 나은 성능을 제공할 수 있다. 이 결과로 두 구성을 결합한 기능적으로 등급의 복합 구조가 생성된다. 대표 체적 요소 (RVE) 방법은 형태 변화에 따른 다중 재료 기반 단위 구조의 다양한 열전도 특성을 얻기 위해 적용된다. RVE 분석 결과를 바탕으 로 머신 러닝 기법을 이용하여 특정 형태의 단위 구조물의 물성치를 도출할 수 있다. 거시적 위상 최적화는 기존의 SIMP 방법을 사용하여 수행되며, 거시 구조를 구성하는 단위 구조는 동시 최적화 과정에 따라 열전도 성능을 향상시키기 위한 다양한 형태를 가질 수 있다. 제안된 방법의 효과를 확인하기 위해 열 컴플라이언스 최소화 문제의 수치예가 제공된다.

        Contemporary people want to develop their bodies to enhance quality of life. Although weight-training machines have been mainly developed with this trend based on intuition and experience, this study attempted to improve and verify those products through computer simulations using the musculoskeletal model of the human body. An arm-curl machine, a weight-training machine for arm exercise, was chosen for this research and the improved exercise effects were observed. The existing exercise that moves the scapula on the axis of the elbow with raised forearm is effective for biceps but not for triceps and adjacent muscles. Thus we suggested the idea for a new concept arm-curl machine that also raises the scapula after raising the forearm. To verify the effects of this new exercise, we manufactured arm-curl linkage. The experiments found that the exercise effects of the biceps were maintained, and the exercise effects of the triceps remarkably improved. These findings verified the effects of the proposed new concept arm-curl linkage.

        Conventional rotary sawing machine for cutting lumber generates severe amount of dust scattering to the environment. In this research, the design improvement of the rotary sawing machine is achieved to significantly reduce the dust scattering by the design process utilizing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. Several design candidates for the design improvement of the rotary saw system were proposed and modeled, and CFD analyses were performed to choose the best design in viewpoint of the least dust scattering. CFD analysis proved to be very useful to predict the characteristics of the air flow inside the saw system. The movement of dust particles with the air flow during the sawing process was analyzed for various design features of the saw system. The most efficient design to minimize the amount of dust particles ejected from the saw system was chosen based on the CFD analysis results. Then, the prototype of the best candidate of the improved rotary saw machine was built and the amount of dust particles were measured to verify its performance.

        An injection unit is the important part which guide the melted resine into the mold. Once injection molding is performed, there will be a pressure of 33 MPa built up inside of injection cylinder body. It was confirmed that the crack occurs by internal stress on the 9 mm material when the machine is used for long time. Because the cylinder rod has material thickness of 9~12 mm during manufacturing process on the cylinder body, there would be 3 mm thickness differences. In this experiment, IDEAS, a computer aided structure analysis software, is used to present the optimized design condition. Insert rod with inner diameter of 9 mm was set as a normal and vary 3 mm in x, y axis direction. When the internal pressure of 33 MPa occurs at the injection unit, fix the x and y direction and find out the stress acting only in z axis. It was confirmed that the stress of 45~82 N/mm 2 was built up when the left of cylinder body had been set 9 mm by using a structure analysis. Also, it has been verified the thickness of the material on the left need to be greater and equal than 12 mm to prevent a material crack by an internal stress.

        The international and domestic revenue keep growing constantly, and nowadays the international casino game industry is getting upgraded utilizing IT technology. In contrast, due to many constraints and limitations, Korean IT society has not paid attention to the casino IT area. Slot machine is one of popular gaming systems in the casino. In this paper, we present our design and implementation of protocol analysis system for SAS 6.0 protocol. Slot machine accounting system (SAS) is an international standards protocol and provides auditing, management, and additional service for slot machines. Our protocol analysis system design experience provide in-depth understanding on slot machine and its accounting requirement than a simple conceptual introduction of protocol. Also, the key difficulties of SAS protocol implementation and performance requirement is examined. Our system successfully works in small portable embedded system and showed its benefits, showing benefits for debugging and reverse-engineer a real work problem with commercial system. The engine of the analysis software will be the base of real SMIB (slot machine interface board) system for commercial use.

        Generally it is needed to have a multi stage drawing operation to increase a drawing ratio. So, this study is about the hydraulic circuit design of the 3 stage deep drawing machine. As the drawing ratio is large or deep, the quality of deep drawing products are affected more by the force and velocity of the press cylinder. Therefore using the computer simulation, the pressure reponses which are related to the force and velocity of press cylinder are analysed, and the design of the hydraulic circuit are proposed. The results of simulation shows that it correspond to experiments and have good feasibility. Proposed hydraulic circuit can be used to improve the quality of a deep drawing products.

        As all kind of industry has developed, metal structure and machine instrument use bolt, pin, rivet and welding for assembly and combination. For pin and hinge, dimension accuracy is crucial to keep the operation and safety of the structure and machine instrument. In case of complex machine, the hinge for cover open-loop system is one of the significant design elements. Most of the hinges are being imported and assembled sine they give high technology development cost for its unit cost position. The reason is that the localization of hinge is inadequate. As the demand increase and the necessity of localization grow, it is now more important than ever to develop low cost structure. By the low cost structure, a new technology could be obtained for electronic product and structural hinge since it would enable for complex machine hinge to be guaranteed, technologically. Open-loop hinge is the link type and designed for the structure to keep constant open-loop. And, the hinge is examined in design stability by finite element analysis method. In this paper, the operation result is presented when the hinge for complex machine open-loop is designed for link type structure.
