        본 연구는 네일 케어 방법에 따라 위험지각과 만족도를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 알아보기 위하여 네일 케어의 두 가지 방식인 니퍼 케어와 드릴케어로 나누어 각각의 소비자의 인식, 위험지각 그리고 만족도에 대한 문항 구성하였다. 또한 인구통계학적 특성 문항을 포함한 설문 200부를 표본으로 하여 통계 분석을 시행하였다. 연구 결과, 드릴케어 와 니퍼케어 모두 위험 지각 구성요인이 만족도와 유의한 선형관계에 있으며, 통계적으로 유의한 수준으로 확인되었다. 두 유형 모두 성과적 위험지각은 유의하게 정의 관계를 보였 다. 시술에 대한 불안이 큼에도 결과적 만족, 즉 구매라는 행동 의도로 이어져 유의미한 가 치를 제공했다. 이러한 결과를 통해 네일 산업 연구에 시사점을 제시하였으며, 더 실증적인 결과물을 제시하여 산업의 발전에 활용할 수 있도록 하였다.

        본 논문은 네일 케어 시에 이미 지각된 불안감과 효용성이 최종 만족도에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지에 대해 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 네일케어 유형 중 드릴케어와 니퍼케어를 모두 받아본 적이 있는 고객을 모집단으로 설정하여 최종 160부를 유효 표본으로 하여 통계 분석 하였다. 설문 응답은 2023년 04월 10일~05월 10일 까지 오프라인 점포 방문 고객 및 구글 온라인 설문지 배포를 통해 네일케어 인지 및 경험 여부, 인식 및 만족도 및 인구통계적 문항을 조사하였다. 변수별 구성 차원의 타당성을 확 인하기 위해, Varimax-직교회전 방식의 요인분석을 실시하였다. 통계는 WIN SPSS 25.0를 사용하였다. 변수 간의 영향 관계 검증은 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과로 드릴케어가 니퍼케어보다 고객 인식에서 불안함이 더 큰 관리방식이지만, 그만큼 지각하는 효용성이 크며 결과적으로 만족도가 더 높은 시술임을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으 로 향후 네일 업계 실무 종사자들의 전문성을 높이고 고객의 신뢰도를 높이고자 하는 시사점을 제언하였다.

        This study was conducted with students who had experience in purchasing nail products asa result of by taking the nail design course of the department of beauty at a junior college. The purpose of this study was to provide useful information to nail companies, including the importance of product elements and effective media promotion, to support the planning and promoting of nail products for beauty major students. Means analysis, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were conducted on detailed characteristics related to nail beauty (degree of nail management, degree of contact with nail beauty media) and considerations for the purchase of nail products. The results were as follows: For beauty major students, it was concluded that the greater the interest in nail beauty, such as degree of nail management and degree of contact with nail beauty media, the greater the interest in product quality, purpose, and safety, which are practical product elements considered when purchasing nail products. It was also confirmed that Instagram and YouTube advertising media have a significant effect on promoting nail product brands for beauty major students. As the subjects of this study comprise beauty major students in their early 20s, there is a limit to expanding and applying the conclusions of this study to general nail product consumers. Therefore, in subsequent studies, analysise of a wider range of nail product consumers should be conducted through an expanded sampling method.

        This study is a follow-up paper on “Development of flipped learning class model for nail beauty education” published by Seol (2022). This model was conducted from March to June 2022 for 70 students taking the “Nail color design 1” course. After 15 weeks of class, a survey of the students’ perceptions of flipped learning and their self-evaluation of goal achievement was conducted, which was composed of questionnaires using a 5-step Likert scale. 15 questions were designed to evaluate the students’ satisfaction with their experience and class operations; 4 questions to evaluate whether the class goal had been reached through flipped learning; and 9 questions to evaluate the students’ perceptions of flipped learning. As a result of applying this model to theoretical and practical nail beauty classes, it was confirmed that flipped learning helped students better understand the content and had a positive effect on learning, while the subject’s educational goals were also achieved. By evaluating the students’ perceptions of flipped learning, we may conclude that they experienced learning satisfaction and perceived the approach positively. Moreover, they have expressed a desire for additional flipped learning. This study is thus meaningful in confirming the procedure’s effectiveness by applying the flipped classroom model to theoretical and practical subjects with a focus on the nail beauty field, and showing how it achieved students’ positive perceptions and educational goals.

        Flipped learning research has been applied in various educational fields since 2015 and the educational effects have been discussed in previous literature. In the beauty field, flipped learning research is insufficient; in particular, it is difficult to find research on flipped learning specifically concerning nail beauty education. The purpose of this study is to develop a model for applying flipped learning to nail beauty education which should involve practical training based on theory. Such an approach is considered effective. Data were collected and analyzed focusing on previous studies with flipped learning applied as a research method. The subject of the research is “Nail Color Design 1”, a common nail major elective subject at J college. The “Nail Color Design 1” course is a practice-oriented course in the form of theory and practical classes. Consequently, the flipped learning education model for nail beauty was designed by reflecting learners’ needs through the ADDIE instructional design model. It was applied based on the education structure of the Pre-class, In-class, and Post-class of the PARTNER instructional learning model. This study deviates from the traditional practical education model, and has educational significance as a practical model in which flipped learning is applied to nail beauty subjects and self-reflection is derived through project practice.

        The goal of this study was to develop a curriculum based on practice and job competency, reflecting opinions on the required job competence of nail practitioners and professionals related to nail beauty. Through in-depth interviews with nail experts, the research focuses on developing nail beauty competency-based curriculum and curriculum profiles that reflect practitioners’ needs of job competence in the field. In-depth interviews with 11 field experts and surveys of 154 people were conducted to develop a competency-based curriculum for beginner nail hairdressers. The results of this study show that the existing 38 National Competency Standards (NCS) job competencies were reduced to 21 job competencies. In addition, based on the common opinions of experts who reflect the current trend, two tasks on “eyelashes” and “waxing” were added, and they were modified and supplemented with 23 core competencies. The development of a competency-based curriculum and educational programs for nail beauty was performed based on the requirements of the core competencies investigated and the development of a systematic map for the core competencies of beginner nail technicians and hairdressers. In conclusion, the need for professional education and training for nail hairdressers is growing, and it can be seen that a curriculum building multi-faceted abilities is needed for their qualifications as experts. This study found that it is necessary to develop interpersonal communication skills that include marketing elements other than practical skills such as personality and customer response methods in the nail beauty curriculum.

        본 연구에서는 일반 폴리시와 젤 폴리시의 안전성 인식 및 손톱 손상도에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법은 본 연구에 참여를 동의한 20~50대 여성을 대상으로 사전 설문조사와 실험 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과, 일반 폴리시와 젤 폴리시의 효과성 인식, 안전성 인식, 손톱 손상도 인식 차이에서 모두 젤 폴리시가 높게 나타났다. 실험 전·후 손톱의 수분, 유분, 경피수분손실량(TEWL)은 실험 전보다 모두 감소 하였으며, 일반 폴리시에 비해 젤 폴리시의 감소 폭이 높게 나타남을 확인하였다. 또한 손톱의 SEM 표면 관찰에서도 젤 폴리시의 손톱 표면 손상도가 매우 크게 나타남을 확인하였다. 이상과 같이 본 연구를 통해 일반 폴리시보다 젤 폴리시가 손톱의 손상도에 많은 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 소비자들의 건강하고 아름다운 손톱관리 및 유지를 위한 기초 자료로 도움이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.

        본 연구는 아세톤 농도에 따른 리무버액의 젤네일 제거 정도, 손톱 표면에 미치는 영향을 비교하고자 100%아세톤, 5%아세톤, 0%아세톤, 아보카도 넌아세톤 4종의 리무버액으로 젤네일을 제거하여 시간경과에 따른 손톱 변화를 관찰하였고 제거 전·후의 손톱 표면거칠기, 표면볼륨, 수분량 및 경피 수분증발량을 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 젤네일 제거정도에서 100%아세톤, 아보카도 넌아세톤, 5%아세톤, 0%아세톤 순으로 젤이 제거되었고 손톱 표면거칠기에서는 5%아세톤, 0%아세톤, 아보카도 넌아세톤이, 표면볼륨에서는 0%아세톤이 젤네일 제거 전·후 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았으며 손톱 표면수분량에서 는 0%아세톤의 경우 젤네일 제거 전·후 감소가, 경피수분증발량에서는 0%아세톤의 경우 젤네일 제거 전·후 증가가 가장 적은 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 5%, 0%아세톤이 젤네일을 제거하는 리무버액으로 사용이 가능하며 손톱 손상에 영향이 제일 적은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구가 비아세톤계 리무버 제품 개발과 네일 미용 발전에 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

        Consumers’ desire for beauty has become a driving force in the beauty service industry which was further developed through specialization and segmentation. Nail-care service, which is one of the beauty services, is showing rapid growth, and intense competition among salons has become apparent. Thus, service management method and marketing strategy are required for customer satisfaction. Therefore, in this study, we tried to classify the nail-care services on the basis of systematization and realization of its characteristics which are fundamental when developing management and marketing strategies. The subjects of this study were women in their 20s and above living in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon areas. As a result, the nail-care service factors are classified as “external environment” (interior, celebrity, newness), “internal environment” (equipment and products, cleanliness, and environment), “location” (location and transportation convenience), “reputation” (good reputation), “technician skill,” “kindness,” “relationship” (relationship, empathy, and affinity), and “price and discount.” The consumer types of nail-care services were classified into three groups according to the degree of involvement of these concept systems. These results can be used as marketing basics and will be the basis for studying marketing strategies. However, the consideration of setting up a marketing strategy for each consumer type will be presented in a follow-up study.

        Nail-care services are growing rapidly. If causes for the increase in nail-care service consumption is diversion or self-satisfaction, we can speculate that consumers perform self-care through nail-care services. Nail-care-service consumption should be allowed to increase because of the positive psychological effects such as improving mood or alleviating depressed emotions. Moreover, the psychological effects of nail-care services differ according to consumers’ tendencies. Therefore, this study divides the types of consumers, to investigate whether there is a difference in the psychological effects of nail-care services depending on the types. This study used the questionnaire survey method. Results of the study revealed that the sub-factors of self-esteem, extracted as two factors, were “personal self-esteem” and “social self-esteem”. Consumers were classified according to the sub-factors of self-esteem into four groups. There were differences in the psychological effects of nail-care services according to these four groups. It was found that all groups had psychological effects above the average value. This result indicates that only the degrees of psychological effects differ in accordance with the types of self-esteem, and that psychological effects generally play a large role in all types. Since psychological effects were positive for everyone regardless of their self-esteem, utilizing nail-care services considerably reduces the depression and anxiety of modern people. Nail-care services expected to become the basis of the nail therapy field.

        Per capita nail-products use and airborne VOCs emission in four techniques of nail care (full coat coloring, UVgel polish, repair silk, and acrylic overlay) are estimated in this study. These assessments were carried out in a sealed test chamber using artificial hand and nails. A polish remover and a gel cleanser as cleanser and acrylic liquid as solvent were the most commonly used nail products in all 4 of the nail care techniques. Acetone, isopropyl alcohol, and methanol, which are major components of a polish remover, were commonly detected in all nail care techniques while acetone was detected the most. In addition to these airborne VOCs, a variety of other components such as ethyl acetate, cyclohexane, and toluene were identified in full coat coloring technique. In the process of UV-gel polish care technique, the main airborne VOCs were caused by solvents and were not involved in the curing process of UV gels (base gel and top gel) and gel bonder. In the case of repair silk nail care techniques, which generated the most VOCs, the total amount of VOCs detected was about 1,118.8 ± 359.6 mg/capita. Of the VOCs, butane (862.2 ± 283.9 mg/capita), which is contained in glue dryer, represented the largest share. In the process of acrylic overlay nail care technique, ethyl methacrylate (EMA), which is the basic element of acrylic, and highly toxic methyl methacrylate (MMA) were detected at 396.6 ± 42.3 mg/capita and 141.8 ± 8.2 mg/capita, respectively. The per capita data is very useful in designing a ventilation system for environmental improvement of a nail shop and setting a health care policy for nail artists and customers.

        This study carried out surveys for 197 nail shop practitioners and 195 customers 1) to study the real condition of their hygiene awareness and safety consciousness and 2) to grasp their awareness of the necessity of legislating a related bill so as to build an independent domain of business and to propose data on the national qualification system of nail care. As a result, it was found that the level of the nail care practitioners’ experiences of safety education was very low, and that the customers attached importance to the necessity of nail salon practitioners’ certificate and license and the nail treatment-related bill more than the nail care practitioners themselves. In conclusion, the preparation of a nail art-related bill is required at the state level for the management of the safety and hygiene of national health, and systematic and regular education related to hygiene should be carried out.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential exposure of chemicals from the working environment of nail shops and determine health-related symptoms from the nail shop workers by self-reporting questionnaire. A total of 54 nail shop workers from 15 different locations were asked to conduct a survey concerning their working environment. VOCs (including toluene and nine other substances) and aldehyde(including formaldehyde and four other substances) detected. We studied on the relationship between the environmental concentration of chemical substances and the self-reported symptoms of nail shop workers. There was a significant relationship between the neck pain and substances such as 2- propanol, benzene, toluene, n-buthylacetate, ethylbenzene, and xylene (p<0.01). Furthermore, symptoms in the nose irritation, neck irritation and recurrent coughs had significant relationship with benzene (p<0.05), whereas, toluene showed significant relationship with neck irritation and symptoms such as coughs and fatigue (p<0.05).

        This paper has attempted to find out the factors that have an influence on the consciousness of the release of hazardous materials into the air in a nail shop. For this, the concentrations of organic solvents in the air in 10 nail shop(31 employees) in 'S' District of Seoul have been measured. Furthermore, a questionnaire survey was conducted from January 18 to May 18, 2008. Most subjects were female with mean age of 25.61 years - 25 or younger: 19 (61.3%), older than 25 : 12 (38.7%). At the breathing height for employees in a nail shop, the concentrations of organic solvents were the highest (16.61ppm), followed by ethyl acetate 1.23ppm, butyl acetate 0.40ppm, toluene 0.27ppm, n-hexane 0.25ppm and isopropyl alcohol 0.21ppm. With regard to employees' consciousness symptoms (frequent fatigue' 100%, 'headache' 90.3%, 'nasal irritation' 77.4%, 'irritation in eyes' 71.0%, 'score throat' 64.5% and 'coughing' 51.6%), statistically significant difference has been observed (p<0.01). In particular, this paper has been aimed to suggest ground data for revision of the regulations that are related with the indoor air quality of nail shop and the guidelines for employees' health.

        Proximal femoral fractures are common in older adults. Zimmer natural nail (ZNN, Cephalomedulary Asia; Zimmer, Warsaw, IN, USA) known as useful in immobilizing the fractures of the proximal femoral fractures, have a critical complications like femoral head perforation and cut through in pelvic bone. We report a case that the femoral head perforation by the hip screw occured within 2 months of the operation, and 8 months after operation, the hip screw is completely separated from the metal body and cut through the pelvis.

        쏘일네일은 원위치 지반보강 공법으로써 사면 및 터널, 지하구조물의 보강에 널리 사용되고 있다. 일반적으로 쏘일네일의 안정성 평가는 한계평형해석법에 의한 사면안정해석결과를 이용하여 설계기준안전율을 반영한다. 하지만 설계기준안전율을 만족하여도 쏘일네일의 길이가 짧으면 과다 변위가 발생해 지반의 안정성에 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 정확한 쏘일네일의 길이를 파악하여 지반의 안정성을 확보해야 한다. 본 연구는 전자기파의 시간영역반사법(Time Domain Reflectometry, TDR)을 이용하여 쏘일네일의 길이를 산정하기 위한 선행 연구로써 그라우팅을 하지 않은 일반철근과 커플러로 연결한 철근이 신호에 미치는 영향을 연구하는데 목적이 있다. 여러 길이의 철근과 커플러로 연장된 철근을 다양한 길이로 연결하고 TDR을 이용하여 전자기파를 발생시켜 시간영역반사법을 통해 철근의 길이를 분석하였다. 그 결과 철근의 길이가 증가함에 따라 반사되어 돌아오는 전자기파의 시간이 비례하여 증가하였으며 커플러로 연장된 철근에서도 그 길이에 해당하는 시간을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 전자기파를 이용한 시간영역반사법이 시공된 쏘일네일의 길이를 산정하기 위하여 적용 가능성이 있음을 보여준다.
