The common snapping turtle (Chelydra serpentina), which is native to North America, started to be imported into South Korea as pets in the 1990s. The turtle was sold in supermarkets and pet shops nationwide at low prices such as 20 USD. These non-native turtles, with their large size and strong predatory nature, have been consistently discovered in the wild in South Korea beginning in 2014, and they were designated as an ecosystem-disturbing species (EDS) in October 2022. Until June 30, 2023, a collection system was implemented to reduce the abandonment problem of C. serpentina due to their designation as an EDS. In this study, we analyzed the impacts of the legal designation as an ecologically disturbing species and the collection system of C. serpentina on their abandonment and surrender. Our findings showed that designation as EDS did not affect the abandonment of C. serpentina. Meanwhile, the collection system led to cases of immediate surrender. Within 3 years of post-purchase, 41.8% of the turtles were surrendered, and 67.5% were surrendered when they reached 3 kg. Determining the impact of the legal designation as an EDS may be currently limited due to the difficulty of detecting C. serpentina in the wild. On the other hand, cases of surrender through the collection system are considered to be effective as they have been shown to reduce the abandonment of this newly designated ecosystem-disturbing species.

내년(2024년) 4차 서울대회를 준비하는 로잔 운동은 총체적 선교 에 초점을 맞추며 다양한 공공의 영역들에서 삼위일체 하나님의 선교를 실천하는 공공선교학과 공통점이 있다. 삼위일체 하나님은 그분의 백성들을 공공의 영역들로 보내시고 공적 참여를 통해 그분의 선교를 실천하신다. 로잔의 이슈 네트워크도 29개 네트워크들 중 일터, 비즈니 스, 미디어, 예술, 그리고 새로운 과학 기술 등과 같이 다양한 공공의 영역에 관한 공적 주제들을 다룬다. 본 글 에서 먼저 공공선교학의 시작과 흐름을 다루고 로잔 운동과 관련 있는 공공선교학자인 레슬리 뉴비긴, 르네 파딜라, 사무엘 에스코바르, 그리고 브라이언트 마이어스 등의 선교 신학을 소개한다. 그리고, 복음주의 공공선교학자인 그렉 오케슨의 공공선교학의 주요 특징들(1. 삼위일체 선교, 2. 복잡성, 3. 공공의 영역들, 그리고 4. 회중의 증인)과 로잔 운동의 공통점들을 언급한다. 특히, 공공선교가 실천되는 다양한 ‘공공의 영역들’은 선교의 현장으로서 하나님의 나라 신학이 구현되어야 할 공간이다. 그러므로 이 영역들을 소개하고 마지막으로 로잔 운동 50주년에 개최되는 4차 서울대회에서 선교의 보편성과 함께 특수성과 시대성을 고려하여 공공 선교학적 제안을 하고자 한다.

연구에서는 두족류의 생식생태를 이해하기 위하여 우리나라 주요 두족류인 살오징어 Todarodes pacificus 수컷의 생식기관과 정포의 미세해부학적 구조를 기재하였다. 살오징어는 자웅이체로 외투막에 투과되는 생식기관의 색과 교접완을 통하여 암, 수를 구분할 수 있는 성 적이형을 가진다. 수컷 생식기관은 정소, 1차 수정관, 정포선, 정포낭, 2차 수정관으로 구성된다. 살오징어의 수컷은 정포 형성기관인 정포선과 같은 특수화된 생식기관을 가진다. 정소는 조직 학적으로 정세관형이었다. 1차 수정관은 정소의 후방부터 정포선까지 연결된 가늘고 긴 역삼 각형의 용수철 형태였다. 내부에는 H-E 염색에서 호염기성으로 반응하는 정자가 가득 차 있었 다. 정포선은 1차 수정관과 정포낭에 연결된 불규칙한 타원형으로 내부에는 다수의 관상선이 존재하였다. 정포낭은 정포선과 2차 수정관 사이에 위치하는 관 구조로 내강에서는 다수의 정 포가 확인되었다. 2차 수정관은 정포낭의 후방부에 연결되며, 내부에 정포를 갖고 있었다. 정포 는 길이 약 22 mm의 길고 투명한 관 형태로 내부에는 정자 덩어리를 갖고 있었다.

The Army, Navy, and Air Force are currently making various efforts to apply defense IoT technology by reflecting the characteristics of each military. However, there are concerns that comprehensive collection, management, and analysis may be limited because each military has no overlapping system or guaranteed interoperability of data, and there are inefficient aspects in terms of using and investing a limited defense budget. In this study, evaluation items and priorities for pilot projects were selected by applying Delphi technique and AHP method to determine which projects are preferentially effective when commonly applied in terms of Army, Navy, and Air force. As a result of the analysis, the project basis and driving force, project feasibility, performance and ripple effect, redundancy and connection were identified in the order of IoT-based small detachment units and unmanned base construction, intelligent smart unit, smart ground ammunition depot, and smart training management system. According to the comprehensive results reflecting the weights of each evaluation item, the fact that small detachment units and unmanned base construction project are recognized as the first project to be applied to the Army, Navy, and Air Force is a valid approach to be effective while each military is burdened with personnel management because of the reduction of manpower. Through the research results, it is expected that the direction of application to the policy of the defense IoT project can be confirmed in terms of efficient use of limited budgets.

The distributions of common minke whales observed in the East Sea in ten surveys in May of 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2020 were investigated using satellite sea surface temperature (SST) derived from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MODIS). Most of the minke whales were observed in the waters off the Korean Peninsula at 36-38.5° N, which is expected as the highly productive coastal upwelling area. Yet, no minke whale was observed in 2006 when a relatively larger scale coastal upwelling occurred with SST at 11°C. In 2016 and 2020, the warm water higher than 17°C extended widely in the area, and the minke whales were observed in the offshore waters, deeper than 1,000 m. 87.5% of minke whales observed in May appeared in the SST from 13 to 16°C, and they seemed to avoid relatively high temperatures. This suggests that optimum habitat water temperature of minke whales in May is 13-16°C. The SST in the area had risen 1.67°C from 2003 to 2021, and it was remarkably higher than in other parts of the surrounding areas. The future temperature rising may change the route and timing of the migration of minke whales in the study area.

The purpose of this study is to provide information about annual variations in catch size and changes in reproductive biology in the common octopus, Octopus vulgaris, a commercially important species in Jeju Island. Samples were collected from coastal waters of Jeju Island, Korea by coastal trap fishery from January to November 2021. Octopus vulgaris have been decreasing in this region since 1984. The mantle length (ML) ranged from 4.5 to 17.8 cm and body weight (BW) ranged form 88.5 to 2,657.5 g. A χ 2 -test revealed that the number of males was significantly greater than females (χ 2 = 32.712, df = 10, P<0.05). Mature females were found from January to July and male occurred January to August. The gonadosomatic index value was higher from July to August than other months. The relationship between mantle length and body weight was BW = 2.4527ML 2.3139 (female) and BW = 2.6785ML 2.3159 (male). At 50% group maturity, female and male average weight was estimated to be 554.7 g and 330.6 g, respectively.

As the largest written Chinese dictionary in the Joseon Dynasty, “Gujin Shilin” contains a wealth of Korean vulgar words. This paper takes the Korean Kanji Words in “Gujin Shilin” as an example, analyzes the Korean common characters used in the entry, and summarizes the characteristics of the common characters in the inheritance of “Liushu”, such as associative compounds, pictophonetic characters, and phonetic loan characters, as well as the simplification of the form, the symbolization of the components, and the components of the common characters. The variation law of functionalization and reconstruction of pronunciation and meaning is beneficial to the research on the spread and development of popular characters outside the territory.

As one of the earliest Buddhist scripture classics, the “Faju Sutra” adopts the form of chanting, and the content is plain and simple. Ganbo 001 “Faju Sutra” contains two parts, “Dao Heng Pin” and “Ni Huan Pin”. This article uses this manuscript as the research object, and divides its glyphs into parts to describe the glyph features of this manuscript. According to Huang Zheng’s “Dunhuang Vulgar Characters Dictionary” (2nd edition), the classification method of the common characters is carried out to study the classification of common characters. At the same time intercept the glyphs that have not been recorded by the predecessors and make a supplement to the “Dunhuang Vulgar Characters Dictionary”.

This paper studied the origin of Myeongnyundang(明倫堂), the common name of the main lecture halls at confucian schools in ancient China. Through an extensive investigation of local chronicles, biographies, decrees and construction essays, it found the first Myeongnyundang were titled on the main hall of a local school in the early Southern Song(南宋) period, and it might become the most popular name due to Zhuxi (朱熹), a famous confucian scholar in the Southern Song dynasty. In Yuan(元) period, it almost become the fixed name for the main lecture hall at local confucian schools, and even the official government documents began to use it as a common noun since the beginning of Ming(明) dynasty.

이 논문에서는 UN해양법협약 상 인류공동유산 원칙의 법적 성질을 살펴보고, UN해양법협약에 기초한 BBNJ(국가관할권 이원지역에서의 생물다양성) 협약 개정 초안에서 국가관할권 이원지역의 해양 유전자원에 인류공동유산 원칙을 적용한다는 것이 어떠한 문제를 내포하는지를 논리 해석적으로 검토하였다. 먼저 2장에서는 UN해양법협약에서 인류공동유산 원칙의 의미와, 이 원칙을 구성하는 세부 요소를 알아보겠다. 이를 토대로 인류공동유산 원칙의 강행규범성을 주장하는 근거와 그 한계점을 짚어보도록 하겠다. 3장에서는 국가관할권 이원지역에서의 생물다양성 규율 공백을 메우기 위해 진행되고 있는 BBNJ 협약 논의의 배경을 살펴보고, 여기서 인류공동유산 원칙 적용이 제시되고 있음을 확인하겠다. 4장에서는 현재까지 정부 간 회의에서 도출된 BBNJ 협약 개정 초안의 내용 을 UN해양법협약과 비교·분석하여, BBNJ에서 차용하고 있는 인류공동유산의 원칙이 UN해양법협약에서의 용례와 논리적으로 부정합하다는 점과 그 문제의 중대성을 역설하겠다. 결론에서는 BBNJ에 적용될 규율 원칙의 명확화를 위하여, 인류공동유산 원 칙의 강행규범성 및 유추적용에 대한 추가 연구가 필요하다는 점과, 이에 따라 BBNJ의 규율 원칙이 재차 논의되어야 함을 제언하겠다.

2005년부터 2017년까지 7회에 걸쳐 조사된 WPS를 활용하여 본 연구는 동일방법편의의 영향을 분석하 기 위한 분석유형을 구성한 후 연도별·유형별 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같 다. 첫째, 동일 응답자에 의해 측정된 상이한 개념들 간 상관관계는 상대적으로 높은 반면 다른 응답자에 의해 측정된 동일 개념들 간 상관관계는 상대적으로 낮았다. 둘째, 연도별·유형별 회귀분석 결과 R2는 종 속변수와 동일한 응답자에 의해 측정된 독립변수들이 많을수록 높아지는 패턴을 보였다. 이러한 패턴은 노측 응답으로만 측정된 변수들로 구성된 실증모형 결과에서 보다 강하게 나타났다. 또한 동일방법편의 가 개별 변수들의 추정치와 통계적 유의성에 영향을 미치지만 그 방향과 크기는 다양하게 나타났다. 이 연구결과를 기반으로 연구의 시사점, 한계점과 향후 연구 과제를 제시하였다.

Background: The characteristics of lateral epicondylitis (LE) are muscle strength weakness and increased common extensor tendon (CET) thickness. Ultrasonography has recently been used to evaluate tendinopathy. Diamond taping (DT) is commonly used to manage patients with LE. However, no previous studies have investigated the effects of DT on CET thickness. Objects: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of DT applied around the lateral elbow on CET thickness, grip strength, and wrist extension force in healthy subjects. Methods: The subjects were 26 adults (13 male) in their twenties. First, the CET thickness was measured at rest. The CET thickness was measured by using ultrasonography at two points. The subjects were then instructed to perform maximal grip activities or maximal wrist extension activities before and after DT around the lateral elbow. The DT technique was applied using non-elastic tape. While the subjects performed maximal grip activities, the investigator measured the maximum grip strength (MGS) and CET thickness. Likewise, while the subjects performed maximal wrist extension activities, the investigator measured the maximum wrist extension force (MWEF) and CET thickness. Results: The MGS showed a statistically significant improvement after DT taping application in men (p < 0.05). The MWEF showed a statistically significant improvement after DT application in male (p < 0.01) and female (p < 0.05). When performing the activities, the CET thickness increased compared to that at rest. However, CET thickness didn’t show a statistically significant improvement before and after DT. Conclusion: This study shows that DT applied around the lateral elbow is effective in improving MGS and MWEF. However, it does not affect CET thickness.

The construction of national common language is an important issue in that of modern nation. From ‘Guanhua’ in the late Qing dynasty to ‘Guoyu’ in the republic of China, and then to ‘Putonghua’ in the late Anti-Japanese War and after the founding of new China, these names not only have a close connection but also reflect the different functional differences. Now, the construction of national common language in ethnic areas and the unification of cross-strait languages have become new national strategies. Adopting again ‘Guoyu’ names and assigning new meanings from the perspective of national identity can help to strengthen national identity, promote national unity and cross-strait reunification, and regulate language use.

『테스』와「약한 자의 슬픔」은 발표된 시기와 문화적 배경이 다름에도 불구 하고, 근대화 시대의 상징 권력에 의해 희생당하는 여성의 문제를 다루고 있다. 근대의 상징 권력 하에서 여성은 여전히 쉽게 타자로 간주 된다. 주체적 존재로서의 여성의 삶은 사랑과 종교 담론에 밀접한 관련성을 갖게 된다. 두 작품 속에 나타나는 주인공인 테스와 엘리자베트가 꿈꾸는 낭만적 사랑은 근대화 시대의 상징 권력에 직면하게 됨으로써 취약한 상태에 놓이게 된다. 궁극적으로 사회의 상징 권력에 대한 개인적 태도에 따라서 미래의 삶에 대한 양상은 다른 모습을 보여준다. 두 작품의 비교는 과거를 통하여 현재를 성찰하고 미래를 기획 하는데 문학적 지혜를 제공한다. 위기에 놓인 인간의 주체적인 삶에 대한 모색은 무엇보다도 중요하다. 전근대, 근대화, 탈근대라는 역사의 진행 과정에서 각 시대의 상징 권력을 뛰어넘음으로써 참된 사랑의 가치를 발견하는 것이 중요하다. 그리고 이때 사회적 상징 권력에 종속되거나 패배하지 않고 개인의 행복을 꿈꿀 가능성이 담보될 수 있다는 점을 두 작품은 보여준다.
