Purpose: this study was to investigate the correlation between sleep, self-efficacy and intuition among nursing students.
Methods: data were obtained from 144 nursing students with 3rd and 4th during Oct and Dec, 2008. Data were collected using by several measurement tools which were Oh's Korean Sleep scale A, Sherer's General Self-efficacy scale, and Smith Intuition instrument.
Results: the results showed that there was difference between the grade and self-efficacy, difference between religion and sleep, between religion and self-efficacy, and between perceived health status and sleep. The correlation between sleep and self-efficacy was positive correlation.
Conclusion: it has to develop the nursing intervention program to improve sleep and self-efficacy for nursing students. And then, nursing students will have the competence to reduce stress and anxiety about clinical practicum and overload of studying. For further research, it should to study the relationship between sleep, self-efficacy and intuition among nurses.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify instructor’s experience on debriefing of nursing simulation education
Methods: The participants were nine instructors in simulation-based nursing education. Data were collected from May, 2015 to June, 2015, through in-depth interviews and were analyzed on the basis of Colaizzi’s phenomenological methodology.
Results: Three essential themes were extracts that were as follows 1) Instructors’ reflection on their teaching of debriefing in education 2) Determining the effects of debriefing in the simulation-based nursing education 3) Devoting one’s efforts for successful debriefing
Conclusion: Debriefing is built on instructors’ reflection of how the debriefing process can be applied in simulation-based nursing education; this process can provide a practical understanding of nursing students, educational contents, and educational environments. Successful debriefing for enhanced nursing competency requires instructors’ effects to identify and deal with educational problems by reflecting on their teaching experience.
Purpose: This study was to develop a clinical competence scale to assess competence of nursing students in neonatal core nursing management after delivery in the simulation-based clinical situations.
Methods: The assessment items developed with 14 items of 3 point scale. An expert panel of 4 professor and 1 nurse reviewed the scale for content validity by using the CVI(Content Validity Index). Following the establishment of content validity, 14 items of the checklist were developed. The simulation-based neonatal core nursing education that consisted of four sessions for 6 hours lecture and practice was provided to 26 small groups.
Result: The total mean score of clinical competence in neonatal core nursing care was 20.04. Items with the highest mean score was 1.87 with 'apply clean gloves'. Items with lowest mean score was 1.15 with 'perform the body temperature management to the neonatal'. Reliability of between two evaluation using Cronbach's alpha was .86.
Conclusion: This results show neonatal core nursing care assessment tool developed this study had reliability and validity. Further studies are needed to determine property of tool in neonatal core nursing care assessment tool.
본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생이 임상실습에서 경험하게 되는 임상실습 스트레스와 자아탄력성, 임상수행능력 간의 관계를 탐구하는 것이다. 이를 통하여 임상수행능력 관련 요인을 파악하고, 나아가 임상수행능력이 뛰어난 간호사를 양성하는 데 필요한 교육프로그램의 개발을 도울 수 있는 기초자료를 제공코자 한다. 본 연구의 조사는 2014년 9월부터 2014년 12월까지 임상실습 경험을 한 간호대학생 3-4학년 213명을 대상으로 이루어졌으며 설문조사는 자아탄력성, 임상실습 스트레스, 임상수행능력에 관한 내용으로 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 연구결과, 임상수행능력과 자아탄력성은 정의 상관관계를 보였다. 임상수행능력에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 임상실습 만족도, 간호전공 만족도, 자아탄력성 등으로 나타났으며, 그 중에서도 가장 중요한 영향요인은 자아탄력성인 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 연구결과를 봤을 때 간호대학생의 임상수행능력 증진을 위해서는 자아탄력성의 증진이 매우 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 교육프로그램의 개발 역시 이런 사실을 반영하여야 하며, 특히 비(非)교과프로그램의 제공을 통해 전문 간호사로서의 역량을 함양해야 할 것이다.
본 논문은 노사관계에서 중요한 측면인 감정노동과 노조태도에 관한 연구이다. Hochschild가 1980년대 초 ‘감정노동’에 관해서 소개하고 이론화한 후 30여 년이 지난 이후 사회과학분야에서 감정노동은 매우 활발히 연구되어 왔고, 그만큼 감정노동 연구는 그 이론적 깊이와 폭과 다양성의 측면에서 괄목할 만한 업적을 이루었음에도 불구하고 감정노동이 노사관계측면에서 실증적으로 거의 연구되지 않은 가운데 감정노동이 노조관련 태도에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 실증연구결과를 보고하는 논문이다. 본 연구는 개념적 연구방법과 경험적 연구방법을 병행하되, 주로 경험적인 연구를 통해 연구목적을 달성하고자 하였다. 경험적 연구는 간호, 간병, 항공사승무원, 콜센터, 판매 등 다양한 업종의 감정노동자 432명에 대한 설문조사를 통한 실증연구로서 감정노동의 경험이 노조태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 감정노동의 표면행동과 감정노동의 강도는 노조태도에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 조절변수의 영향을 보면, 감정노동경험이 노조태도에 미치는 영향은 업종(돌봄 정도)에 따라 차이가 있었으나, 노조유무와 고용형태에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 실증연구결과가 갖는 시사점과 연구의 한계점 그리고 향후연구에의 제언을 제시하였다.
본 논문은 간호전문인 선교사로 한국에 입국한 서서평(徐舒平, Elisabeth J. Shepping, 1880-1934, R.N.)이 평신도 그리스도인으 로서 수행한 선교적 삶을 분석하여 서서평을 통해 구현된 선교적 그리스 도인이 한국교회의 선교적 교회 형성에 주는 함의를 논하려 한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 선교적 교회의 신학적 근거를 간략히 서술하여 서서평 의 선교적 삶을 분석하는 틀로 삼는다. 선교적 교회는 신학적으로 교회의 본질을 선교로 이해하고 전신자선교사화를 추구하고 성령이 주는 은사에 따라 각 신자들이 지역사회에서 다양한 선교 즉 통전적 선교를 수행하는 교회이다. 본 논문은 독일계 미국인인 서서평에 대한 생애사적 접근을 통해 간호사로서의 소명과 개신교 복음의 만남과 신앙성장을 논하고, 간호사 평신도로서 미국의 다문화 상황에서 뉴욕의 이주민들을 위한 사회봉사 적 선교를 분석한다. 또한 서서평이 남장로교 선교부의 파송을 받아 타문화권인 한국 광주에서 평신도로서 금정교회(현재 광주제일교회) 를 봉사하고 지역사회에서 간호선교, 교육선교, 복음전도, 사회구제 및 사회선교를 실시하였다. 또한 본 논문은 서서평 선교사가 평신도로 서 그리고 교회지도자로서 어떻게 지역사회에서 선교를 추진했는가를 분석한다. 선교적 그리스도인인 서서평이 선교적 교회 형성에 주는 함의는 다음과 같다. 1) 서서평은 평신도 그리스도인으로서 미국 내 다문화 상황에서 지역사회의 이민자들을 상대로 사회봉사적 선교를 수행했고, 기회가 주어져 타문화권인 조선까지 와서 평신도 전문인 선교를 실시하 였다. 2) 서서평은 타문화권인 조선의 광주금정교회에서 평신도로 등록하여 예배와 신앙생활을 하면서 지역사회에서 성령이 주시는 다양 한 은사를 활용하여 다양한 봉사를 실시하였다. 3) 서서평은 전문인 선교사(교회의 지도자)로서 이일학교를 세워 평신도를 양성하고 훈련 하여 전략적으로 지역사회 선교를 수행하였다. 4) 이러한 지역사회 봉사적 선교는 지역사회가 요구한바 다양한 통전적 선교로 드러났다. 이는 개인에 대한 복음 전도와 교회개척, 교육과 치유, 구제와 헌신을 넘어 사회적 실천과 봉사로 나타났고 또한 사회적 약자들에 대한 제도적 접근 선교로서 학교교육(이일학교), 부인조력회, 사회구제와 금주 운 동, 나병환자치료 운동, 공창제도 폐지 운동 등으로 나타났다. 끝으로 본 논문은 한국교회가 선교적 교회가 되기 위해 필요한 몇 가지 사항을 제안한다. 한국교회는 서서평의 지역사회 선교 개념과 활동을 하나의 준거점으로 삼아 지역사회에서 진정성 있는 선교를 수행함으로서 잃어버린 신뢰를 사회로부터 회복할 수 있을 것이다.
장기기증은 장기부전환자를 위한 최선의 치료방법임에도 불구하고 국내의 기증비율은 무척 낮은 편이다. 장기기증에 대한 지식과 태도를 개선하여 장기기증 의향과 실천으로 연결시키는 효과적 교육과 대중의 인식이 요구된다. 이에 본 연구는 일(一) 간호대학생의 장기기증에 대한 지식 및 태도를 포함한 비판적 사고 성향을 알아보고, 학년 간 차이 및 상관성을 분석하여 장기기증에 대한 교육과 참여 활성화에 기여하고자 한다. 비판적 사고 성향 측정도구는 총 27문항, 장기기증에 대한 지식 측정도구는 총 17문항, 태도 측정도구는 긍정적 태도 29문항과 부정적 태도 16문항으로 이루어졌다. 총 대상자 352명(1학년 208명, 3학년 144명)의 평균나이는 20.74세(±2.86)였고, 전공간호학 교육과 임상실습경험이 있는 3학년(12.56±1.86, 68.5%)이 1학년(11.64±2.08, 73.9%)보다 장기기증에 대해 높은 수준의 지식(p<.001)과 긍정적인 태도(p=.002)를 가지고 있었다. 한편, 비판적 사고 성향이 증가할수록 장기기증에 대해 높은 지식수준(r=0.126, p=.018)과 긍정적인 태도(r=.113, p=.034)를 보였으나, 학년 간 교육정도에 따른 비판적 사고 성향에서는 유의미한 차이를 보이지는 않았다(p=.739). 그러나 장기기증에 대한 지식과 태도가 정적인 상관관계를 보이며(r=0.117, p=.030), 장기기증 의향에 따라 장기기증 태도의 차이가 유의하게 나타났다(p<.001). 따라서 장기기증에 대한 윤리적 태도에 초점을 둔 간호교육을 통해 장기기증 인식 변화를 꾀할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 생명의료 윤리의식은 비판적 사고를 통해 도덕적 차원의 검토를 실행하는 것이라고 할 때, 비판적 사고의 함양을 통해 장기기증에 대한 윤리적 태도와 지식을 고취할 수 있는 교육을 시행해야 할 것이다.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of satisfaction and clinical competence on simulation-based practice in woman’s hospital and to figure out the factors that level of satisfaction affect to clinical competence.
Method The subjects in the experimental group were 93 students who did simulation-based practice and subjects in the control group were 70 students who practiced in woman’s hospital. Data was analyzed using ex post factor experimentation during second semester in 2013.
Results: There was statistically no significant difference between the two groups, but positive correlation between the main variables. The most significant affecting factors to clinical competence in experimental group were satisfaction of contents and duration(R2=.24). The most significant affecting factors to clinical competence in control group were satisfaction of evaluation and practice stressor (R2=.32).
Conclusion Since there was no difference between the two groups, once the difficult part in clinical practice of maternity nursing is practiced repeatedly, student’s competence can be improved. Hence the continual study was required.

Methods: The assessment items developed with 12 items of 3 point scale. An expert panel of 3 maternity professor reviewed the scale for content validity by using the CVI(Content Validity Index). Following the establishment of content validity, 12 items of the checklist were developed. The simulation-based postpartum hemorrhage nursing education that consisted of four sessions for 6 hours lecture and practice was provided to 32 small groups.
Result: The total mean score of clinical competence in postpartum hemorrhage care was 17.34. Items with the highest mean score was 1.88 with ‘introduce myself to the patient'. Items with lowest mean score was 0.19 with 'assess the general conditions'. Reliability of between two evaluation using Cronbach's alpha was .86.
Conclusion: This results show postpartum hemorrhage access tool developed this study had reliability and validity. Further studies are needed to determine property of tool in postpartum hemorrhage access tool.
Animal therapy uses animals, mostly dogs, to aid in healing patients holistically. Dogs have an overwhelming gratitude and exuberance for life and this effect on people is astounding. Furthermore, animal-facilitated therapy has been researched and its effectiveness on patients’ outcomes and healing is documented, yet it continues to be a standing controversial topic in nursing and health care. With a soaring trend of the incorporation of complementary therapies into the mainstream of health care, animal-facilitated therapy has become a popular interest for the health care team to integrate into a patient’s plan of care. This systematic literature summarizes the current research on the use of animal therapy in several patient populations and provides nursing implications for practice.

Methods: The participants in this study were 10 instructors at a university in Korea. They had teaching experience of simulation education in various parts of curriculum. Data were collected from October, 2014 to December, 2014, through in-depth interviews and were analyzed on the basis of Colaizzi’s phenomenological methodology.
Results: Four essential themes were extracts that were as follows 1) Came across obstacles about use of the simulator 2) Need of instructors’ preparation for the simulation education is required 3) The simulation education conditions are in need of improvement 4) Need of efforts required to strengthen competency as professional nurses
Conclusion: Even though at times the education was not carried out smoothly from simultor and education condition, the instructors felt the need for the simulation education in nursing and realized that instructors preparation and simulation education conditions were in need of improvement. Furthermore, the instructors thought the need of further efforts for the students to strengthen their nursing competency as professional nurses. Such understanding of the instructors’ experience, therefore, will be applied to the course of education, which will help maximize the effects of the simulation education and contribute to the necessary improvement required through the curriculum.
Purpose: The purpose of this study were to find out effects of situated learning to problem solving of nursing students.
Method: Subjects were 210 nursing students and analyzed by frequency, mean and t-test.
Results: Experimental group who experienced situated learning was significantly higher problem solving than control group who didn't experience that.
Conclusion: This study found that situated learning in nursing students was effective educational method to develop problem solving. So it is needed to develop various educational methods to improve problem solving according to curriculum.
Purpose: This study aimed to develop an algorithm-based simulation scenario for emergency measures for a high-risk newborn presenting apnea.
Methods: A methodological study design was used to develop the algorithm-based simulation scenario. Expert evaluation was used to establish the developed algorithm’s content validity.
Results: The simulation scenario was developed using several steps of algorithm development based on the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). The content validity was established. Based on the expert evaluation results, an eight-frame algorithm was selected for the final simulation scenario. The scenario courseware was composed of six major components: pre-learning activity simulation orientation, simulation operation, SBAR-format recording, watching the video-clip of their performance for self-evaluation and debriefing. After simulation, student’s clinical performance and communication skill were evaluated with the developed instrument.
Conclusion: Considering that nursing students have limited access to high-risk newborns during their clinical experience and that newborns presenting apnea are common in the neonatal intensive care unit, the algorithm-based simulation scenario developed in this study can provide students with the opportunity to practice alternative emergency measures for high-risk newborns.
본 연구의 조사대상자인 경기 북부(의정부, 양주, 동두천)에 거주하는 노인을 성별을 기준으로 구분하여 노인의 급식 서비스 이용 현황 및 만족도를 조사하였다. 일반적 특성을 보면, 평균 연령은 76.7세이며, 남성과 여성이 각각 35.7, 64.3%, 배우자 사별은 남자노인은 46.9%, 여자노인은 85.0%로 나타났다. 학력은 중학교졸 이하가 전체의 88.1%로 대다수를 차지하였고, 과거 직업은 대부분 무직(33.6%)이거나 자영업(13.4%)에 종사하였다. 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 78.1, 79.2%로 비교적 자유로운 일상 활동이 가능하였고, 건강정보 출처는 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 건강전문가(49.0, 45.7%), 대중매체(34.4, 33.5%)의 순이었고, 건강정보 출처 신뢰도 역시 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 건강전문가(65.6, 59.8%), 대중매체(19.5, 20.8%)의 순이었다. 운동 횟수는 남자노인은 '1주일에 1~2회'(43.8%), '매일'(21.9%)의 순이었으나, 여자노인은 '거의 하지 않는다'가 63.0%로 가장 많다고 응답하여 성별에 따른 차이를 보였다. 노인들이 현재 앓고 있는 질환은 남자노인은 '고혈압'(27.1%), '당뇨병'(21.9%), '뇌졸중'(19.8%)의 순이었고, 여자노인은 '고혈압'(32.4%), '당뇨병'(24.9%), '관절염'(15.0%)의 순으로 응답하였다. 급식서비스를 이용하는 이유로는 남자노인은 '혼자 차려먹기 귀찮아서'(28.1%), '친구를 만날 수 있어서'(25.0%), '경제적인 이유'(14.6%)의 순이었으나, 여자노인은 '경제적인 이유'(25.4%), '친구를 만날 수 있어서'(23.1%), '혼자 차려먹기 귀찮아서'(23.1%)의 순으로 응답하였다. 노인의 복지시설 급식서비스의 시행을 알게 된 경위는 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 전체의 36.5, 68.8%가 '집 가까이 있어서' 자연스럽게 알게 되었고, 30.2, 8.7%가 '가족의 소개로 알게 되었다고 응답하였으며, 남자노인과 여자노인의 65.6, 43.4%가 질환별 급식서비스가 '필요하다'고 응답하였다. 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 전체의 56.3, 72.3%, 52.1, 86.7%, 53.1, 89.6%가 급식의 맛, 위생 상태, 온도가 '만족한다'고 응답하여, 특히 여자노인의 만족도가 남자보인보다 훨씬 더 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 복지 시설 만족도는 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 전체의 78.1, 69.9%가 '만족한다'고 응답하였고, 이들 중 만족한다고 응답한 노인들을 대상으로 조사한 만족 이유로는 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 '식사를 제공하여서'(28.0, 37.2%), '노인들과 어울려 노는 것이 좋아서'(20.0, 22.3%), '시설이 좋아서'(18.7, 18.2%)의 순으로 응답하였다. 시설종사자 만족도는 '기타 및 무응답'이 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 49.3, 67.8%이었으며, 남자노인은 '시설 행정직원'(13.3%), '간호사'(9.3%), 여자노인은 '간호사'(12.4%), '시설 행정직원'(8.3%)의 순으로 응답하였다. 이상과 같은 결과들을 토대로 복지 관련 시설을 이용하는 노인들의 급식 및 복지서비스의 향상을 위한 기초자료로 제공 및 활용하고, 향후 경기 북부 실버산업의 활성화를 도모하고자 하였다.
The purpose of this study includes: Firstly, to examine the effects of procedural justice and job significance on value of work, psychological ownership, and job satisfaction. Secondly, to examine the mediating effect of the value of work, psychological ownership on the relationship between procedural justice, job significance and job satisfaction. For the study, the data was collected from convenient sample of 273 nurses at university hospital in a city to test theoretical model and its hypotheses. All data collected from the survey were analyzed using with SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. This study reports findings as followed: first, the relationship between the procedural justice and the value of work is positively related. Second, there was also a positive correlation between the procedural justice and the psychological ownership. Third, there was also a positive correlation between the job significance and the value of work. Fourth, the relationship between the job significance and the psychological ownership is positively related. Fifth, there was also a positive correlation between the value of work and the psychological ownership. Sixth, there was also a positive correlation between the procedural justice and the job satisfaction. Seventh, the relationship between the job significance and the job satisfaction is positively related. Eighth, there was also a positive correlation between the value of work and the job satisfaction. Ninth, there was also a positive correlation between the psychological ownership and the job satisfaction. Finally, the value of work and psychological ownership played as a partial mediator on the relationship between procedural justice and job satisfaction. Also, the value of work and psychological ownership played as a partial mediator on the relationship between job significance and job satisfaction. Based on these findings, the limitations of the study and some directions for future studies were presented.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in learning flow and problem solving ability by simulation-based fundamentals of nursing practice program depending on the level of self-efficacy of nursing students. Methods: This study was a one group pre-post design. This study involved 254 second grade nursing students at T university in D city. Data were collected from October 28th to November 29th in 2013. Data were analyzed with frequency, percentage, descriptive statistics, paired t-test, ANOVA and post hoc test with using IBM SPSS WIN version 18.0. Results: There was a statistically significant increase in learning flow(F=14.328, p <.001) and problem solving ability(F=4.315, p=.014). There were significant differences on 11.12 score of learning flow and 7.20 score of problem solving ability with answer ‘Low’ by the level of self-efficacy. Conclusion: The result showed that the simulation-based fundamentals of nursing practice program improve learning flow and problem solving ability of low self-efficacy students. Therefore, it is an effective learning method.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the first learning experiences of undergraduate nursing students in team based high-fidelity simulation. Methods: The participants in this study were 13 undergraduate students at a university in Korea. The students were place in a setting of high-fidelity simulation to manage neurological patients. Data were collected from August, 2013 to September, 2013, through in-depth interviews and were analyzed on the basis of Colaizzi’s phenomenological methodology. Results: Five essential themes were extracts that were as follows 1) Thoughts about patients through the training manikin 2) Feeling of being engaged in practical training 3) Recognition of the importance of the team and teammates 4) Evaluation and analysis of the education content 5) Prospects of improving the capacity for nursing practice. Conclusion: Although the students experienced simulation practicum for the first time, it was noticeable that they tried to actively utilize their theoretical knowledge on the training high-fidelity manikin during simulation practicum. Also, it was observed that they recognized the importance of cooperating with their teammates through team role-playing, assuming a professional attitude as a result. Furthermore, analysis on the content of the education and self-evaluation would help foster the capacity to provide total care for patients.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of student-generated rubrics on learning motivation and academic achievement in simulation education. Methods: Student-generated rubrics was developed through the negotiation process between teacher and students, content validity has been verified. The participants were 122 undergraduate nursing students recruited from the one university in G city. The participants were given the simulation education for 15 weeks from 2011 to 2012. Experimental group were presented to student-generated rubrics before course starting was not presented to the control group. The data were analyzed by t-test with SPSS win 18.0 program. Results: Student-generated rubrics presented simulation education was to improve learning motivation and academic achievement. Conclusion: Student-generated rubrics with high reliability and validity in a number of areas to be developed and there is a need to be refined and ensure objectification of simulation education.
