        In this study, we listed the VOCs focusing on ozone precursors emitted from printing shops in urban areas. The emission characteristics of the VOCs from workplaces were evaluated in terms of the used inks. As a result of field measurements, more than 80% of detected VOCs showed high values of photochemical ozone creation potential (POCP). The main species were aromatic hydrocarbons such as ethylbenzene, toluene, ethyltoluene, xylene, trimethylbenzene and their isomers, and paraffin hydrocarbons such as nonane, decane, and octane. Comparative examination between pristine ink and the printing process revealed the emission of hydrocarbons with 8 to 12 carbons such as o-xylene to n-dodecane from the used inks and with 3 to 7 carbons such as acetone to 3-methylhexane from the printing process. The major contributors to ozone production in printing industries were toluene (12.2%), heptane (7.43%), and 1,2,3-trimethylbenzene (7.21%) in every step.

        We developed a wet scrubber by applying cyclone flow to the gas flow and using a spiral filter structure. While the size of a new scrubber was about half that of a conventional scrubber, the device showed relatively high efficiency in pollutants removal such as particulate matter and compounds inducing odor. The new scrubber installed in a plating industry showed a higher removal efficiency of about 5% for dust, about 23% for hydrogen chloride, and about 23% for sulfur dioxide compared to the conventional scrubber. Plurality of tubes in the spiral filer housing are arranged to be vertically shifted from each other. Because the upward residual gas does not directly rise vertically, the residence time of gas between the filter plates is extended. Thus, the purification efficiency of the pollutants was enhanced in the new scrubber. In addition, the new scrubber developed in this study is more cost effective because the cost saving in manufacturing it compared with a conventional scrubber increases with increasing the size of equipment. It is expected that a scrubber with better dust collecting efficiency can be obtained by carrying out a study in connection with facilities capable of controlling acidity of washing water.

        본 연구는 피부표면온도가 유효물질 경피 흡수와 피부 상태변화에 미치는 영향을 실험하였다. 열에 강한 나이아신아마이드 10% 에멀젼을 인공피부에 도포하여 경피 흡수 시험을 진행하였고 동일한 에멀젼으로 피부임상시험을 시행하여 온열효과를 확인하였다. 그 결과 피부표면 온도 42℃에서 정상 피부 온 도보다 도포 10분 경과 후 2배, 15분 경과 후 3배의 경피 흡수 효과를 보였다. 피부임상평가에서는 임상대상자 모두 특이한 이상반응을 보이지 않았으며 수분, 유분 항목에서 통계적으로 유의한 효과를 나타냈다. 이상의 결과로 온열은 유효물질 경피 흡수 촉진과 피부상태 개선에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였고 이는 온열을 이용한 다양한 뷰티디바이스 개발에 기초자료가 될 것으로 판단된다.

        본 연구는 농산물 중 2019년 기준신설 예정농약 Broflanilide에 대한 공정시험법을 개발하고자 수행하였다. Broflanilide는 meta-diamide계 살충제로 중추신경계 억제성 신경전달물질인 gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) 수용 가이드라인(2016)’에 적합한 수준임을 확인하였다. 개발된 시험법은 낮은 검출한계 및 정량한계, 우수한 직선성, 회수율 실험을 통한 정확성과 정밀성, 재현성 등이 입증되 어 농산물 중 broflanilide의 잔류검사를 위한 공정시험법 으로 활용되기에 적합한 것으로 판단된다.

        The purpose of this study is to create a new odor analysis technology that combines the separation technology of GC and the measurement of MOS sensors. The detector of the GC system is replaced with the MOS sensor to analyze various odor compounds. Carrier gas also used air in the normal atmosphere through a micro pump. Therefore, it is possible to develop a portable odor analysis device since no additional cylinder is needed. Retention times for H2S, C7H8, and C2H4O analyzed by the combined GC/MOS system were identified as 1.28 minutes, 3.88 minutes and 1.77 minutes, respectively. Measurement reproducibility of odorous RT was very good at less than 1.2 %RSD. Also, the magnitude of the peak as a result of changes in the concentration of each odor showed a linear proportional relationship. Thus, a new method could be proposed to analyze various odorous substances with the combined GC/MOS system.

        Layered LiNi0.83Co0.11Mn0.06O2 cathode materials single- and dual-doped by the rare-earth elements Ce and Nd are successfully fabricated by using a coprecipitation-assisted solid-phase method. For comparison purposes, nondoping pristine LiNi0.83Co0.11Mn0.06O2 cathode material is also prepared using the same method. The crystal structure, morphology, and electrochemical performances are characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) mapping, and electrochemical techniques. The XRD data demonstrates that all prepared samples maintain a typical α-NaFeO2-layered structure with the R-3m space group, and that the doped samples with Ce and/or Nd have lower cation mixing than that of pristine samples without doping. The results of SEM and EDS show that doped elements are uniformly distributed in all samples. The electrochemical performances of all doped samples are better than those of pristine samples without doping. In addition, the Ce/Nd dualdoped cathode material shows the best cycling performance and the least capacity loss. At a 10 C-rate, the electrodes of Ce/Nd dual-doped cathode material exhibit good capacity retention of 72.7, 58.5, and 45.2% after 100, 200, and 300 cycles, respectively, compared to those of pristine samples without doping (24.4, 11.1, and 8.0%).

        수영만 해역의 오염원 관리를 위해 유입되는 육상기인 오염물질의 체류특성을 분석하였다. 오염물질의 체류특성은 해수유동 모델과 입자추적 모델을 활용하여 분석하였다. 오염물질은 입자로 표현되며, 입자의 양과 오염물질량은 비례하도록 나타내었다. 체류특성은 각 오염원별로 부하량, 해역에서 체류하는 오염물질량, 부하량 대비 해역에 체류하는 오염물질량을 비교하여 분석하였다. 수영만 해역에 체류하고 있는 오염물질량을 오염원별 순으로 나타내면 수영하수처리장, 남부하수처리장, 수영강 등의 순이었다. 오염부하량이 적고 만 내측에서 멀어질수록 해역에 체류하는 오염물질량이 적었다. 오염원 중에서는 남부하수처리장에서 유입되는 부하량이 가장 많았다. 하지만, 유입 부하량 대비 해역에 체류하는 오염물질량은 수영만으로 유입되는 오염원 중 가장 낮은 값을 보였다. 이는, 해역의 특성과 각 오염원의 지형적인 특성에 따라 오염물질이 해역에 미치는 정도가 다르다는 것을 의미한다.

        The impregnation of solid foods into the surrounding hypotonic or hypertonic solution was explored as a method to infuse NaCl in pork loin cube without altering its matrix. Mass transfer kinetics using a diffusive model as the mathematical model for moisture gain/loss and salt gain and the resulting textural properties were studied for the surrounding solutions of NaCl 2.5, 5.0, 10.0 and 15% (w/w). It was possible to access the effects of brine concentration on the direction of the resulting water flow, quantify water and salt transfer, and confirm tenderization effect by salt infusion. For brine concentrations up to 10% it was verified that meat samples gained water, while for processes with 15% concentration, pork loin cubes lost water. The effective diffusion coefficients of salt ranged from 2.43×10-9 to 3.53×10-9 m2/s, while for the values of water ranged from 1.22×10-9 to 1.88×10-9 m2/s. The diffusive model was able to represent well salt gain rates using a single parameter, i.e. an effective diffusion coefficient of salt through the meat. However, it was not possible to find a characteristic effective diffusion coefficient for water transfer. Within the range of experimental conditions studied, salt-impregnated samples by 5% (w/w) brine were shown with minimum hardness, chewiness and shear force.
