        단단한 자구를 가진 적색 비모란선인장 ‘Gangjeok’ 품종 은 ‘Isaek’품종을 모본으로, ‘Suyeon’ 품종을 부본으로 하여 2018년에 교배하여 육성하였다. 교배 후 획득한 종자는 조직 배양실에서 기내파종하여 획득한 유묘를 기내에서 삼각주선 인장에 접목하여 ‘1802001’ 등 20계통을 양성하였다. 2019 년에 기내에서 양성한 20계통을 온실에서 삼각주선인장 대목 에 접목하여 재배하면서 ‘1812005’ 계통을 1차 선발하였다. 2020년부터 2022년까지 3차에 걸쳐서 특성을 검정한 후, 농 산물직무육성품종 심의회에서 최종 선발하여 ‘Gangjeok’으 로 명명하였다.‘Gangjeok’ 품종은 편원형의 적색 구를 가진 다. 혹(tubercle)이 돌출된 형태의 모구는 8.4개의 능(rip)을 가지며, 3.5mm 짧은 회색 가시가 발생한다. 정식 10개월 후 ‘Gangjeok’ 품종의 직경은 46.1mm이며, 자구는 평균 18.3 개 발생한다. 2022년 육성계통 평가회에서 ‘Gangjeok’ 품종 은 높은 기호도 점수 4.0을 받았다.

        접목선인장은 수출 화훼류 중 중요한 부분을 차지하는 품목 으로 품종 육성과 재배 기술의 개발이 꾸준히 요구된다. 품종 육성은 접목선인장에서 적색 외에도 다양한 색상의 품종이 요 구되어 접목선인장의 품종 개발에 대한 요구를 충족하고자 밝 은 분홍색이 선명하고, 기호도가 좋은 ‘연실(YeonSil)’ 품종을 육성하였다. 접목선인장 ‘연실’은 국립원예특작과학원에서 구 의 색상이 흑·분홍색인 ‘0105057’계통을 모본으로 하고 같은 흑·분홍색인 ‘BP72’를 부본으로 교배하여 얻은 실생 품종(등 록번호 제 3920호)이다. ‘연실(YeonSil)’은 편원형으로 구색 은 분홍색(RP N66B)에 돌출된 결각(tubercle)이 있는 모양 으로 대조구 ‘연시’보다 높은 기호도를 가졌다. 재배 방법을 달리하여 육성된 ‘연실’ 품종을 토경과 양액재배(저면매트를 활용한 양액급액)방법으로 재배 후 생육 특성을 검토하였다. 접목선인장 재배방법에 따른 토양재배와 양액재배 방법 간 생 육에 다소 차이를 보였으며, 양액재배에서 우수한 경향을 보 였다. 생육 중 저면 매트를 활용한 양액재배가 토경재배보다 생체중, 구폭, 구고, 구중이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 접목 선인장 재배에서 토양재배는 뿌리썩음병 등의 병 발생 문제가 심각하여 저면매트를 활용한 양액재배가 토양재배를 대신하 는 효율적인 방법으로 생각된다. 본 연구는 접목선인장에서 품종 개발과 함께 재배방법에 대한 일괄적인 연구가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

        지식기반사회에서 산학협력의 중요성이 지속적으로 높아짐에 따라 정부는 산학협력 관련 다양한 사업을 추진하고 있다. 하지만 정부의 많은 지원에도 불구하고 만족스러운 성과를 거두지 못하고 있어 산학협력 성과를 확산하기 위한 실증적 성과분석의 필요성이 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 DEA를 활용하여 LINC+ 참여 대학의 산학협력 성과를 분석하였다. CCR 모형과 BCC 모형을 활용하여 효율성 분석을 수행하였으며, 규모효율성 분석을 통해 규모수익과 비효율 원인을 파악하였다. 또한 비효율적으로 운영되는 대학에 대하여 효율성 개선목표를 제시하였다. 분석 결과 대학이 위치한 지역에 따라 LINC+ 성과의 차이가 있으며, 대학별 비효율 개선을 위한 목표들이 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 대학의 운영 효율성 제고와 경쟁력 강화에 기여할 것으로 기대되며, LINC+의 후속 사업 계획 수립에도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

        This study compared the antioxidant and mineral properties of the leaves and seeds of fifteen Korean adzuki bean (Vigna angularis L.) breeding lines. This study was conducted in an attempt to expand the use of Korean adzuki bean leaves. The potassium, calcium, magnesium, and sodium contents of the leaves were significantly higher than the seeds, in particularly, the potassium content. The leaves had approximately 3.3 times higher potassium content than the seeds. For instance, the potassium content of YA1317 leaves was 21% higher than that of Arari. The total polyphenol content and ABTS activity of Adzuki bean leaves were significantly higher than the seeds, as opposed to the total flavonoid content and DPPH scavenging activity. Among the 15 breeding lines, YA1402 had 1.2~3.2 times higher antioxidant content and activity as compared to the Arari variety. It was concluded that adzuki bean leaves had higher mineral content, antioxidant component and activity as compared to the seeds. Therefore, adzuki bean leaves could be used an ingredient for dishes and as a medicine.

        A new strawberry cultivar ‘Misohyang’ was originated from the cross between ‘Darselect’ and ‘Wongyo 3111’ in 2009. Among hybrids, ‘Misohyang’, a superior individual possessing vigorous growth, capacity to early differentiate flower buds, and excellent physiological characteristics, was selected. Several tests conducted from 2012 to 2014 revealed that this cultivar was suitable for forcing culture due to its faster flowering and harvest time than ‘Seolhyang’. Fruits of ‘Misohyang’ were conical in shape with a red color, which turned dark red color when fruits were fully ripened. Although sugar contents in ‘Misohyang’ fruits were lower than those in ‘Seolhyang’, their aromatic properties were excellent in terms of synergy effect on perception of sweet flavor. In addition, ‘Misohyang’ fruits could maintain high hardness despite a warm temperature during spring. These physiological characteristics of fruits contribute to its high yields in spring, with an average fruit weight of 20 g. Regarding disease resistance, ‘Misohyang’ showed sensitivity to powdery mildew during nursery period and fruit ripening stage. Since the cultivar ‘Misohyang’ has an excellent flavor with attractive red color, sustainable hardness, and high yields in spring, it is expected to be popularly consumed not only for its fresh fruits, but also for its processed fruits.

        Since the first development of the high-yield variety ‘Tongil’ that led to the self-sufficiency of rice production in Korea, plant architecture has improved steadily to increase yield components. The purpose of this study was to analyze the chronicle shift of agronomic traits of high-yield rice, to provide future breeding goals. The culm length increased sharply from 65 cm in the 1970s to 80 cm in the 1990s, and then decreased slightly to 77 cm in the 2010s. The panicle length increased continuously from 22.8 cm in the 1990s, to 24.3 cm in the 2010s. The average number of seeds per panicle increased from 118 in the 1970s, to 142 in the 1990s, and decreased continuously to 119 in the 2010s. The ripening ratio increased from 75% in the 1970s to 83% in the 1980s, and decreased to 77% in the 1990s and after that, held steady at 85%. Thousand-grain weight was lowest in the 1980s at 20.9 g and sharply increased to 25.8 g in the 1990s, and decreased continuously to 23.3 g in the 2010s. The production of high-yield varieties increased significantly from the 1970s from 510 kg/10a to 769 kg/10a in the 2010s.

        The purpose of this study was to select some superior soybean varieties adaptable to growth in the northern parts of the Korean peninsula, and to identify the suitable growing regions of soybean in North Korea. Soybean varieties from South Korea were evaluated with the Chinese locally cultivated varieties as check varieties at two locations, Donggang City of Lianing Province, and at Longjing City of Jilin Province, 2017-2019. A total of 100 soybean varieties from South Korea and three Chinese check varieties were evaluated based on ecological adaptability, and a total of 18 varieties including ‘Suwon 212’ from the Longjing test site as well as a total of 59 genotypes the Donggang test site, were selected for further evaluation in the first experiment year. A total of 12 promising soybean varieties at Longjing and 15 varieties at Donggang that were selected from the previous year, were evaluated at the same sites for ecological adaptability as well as productivity in the second experiment year. A total of nine promising soybean varieties were selected at the test sites, respectively. The nine varieties at each site that were selected from the previous year for the production capacity including flowering date, degree of lodging, yield potential, and disease resistance, were reviewed to evaluate at both sites in the last experiment year. Finally, a total of eight superior varieties, including four at the Longjing site (‘Seonnogkong’, ‘Dajinputkong’, ‘Danweonkong’ and ‘Sinpaldalkong 2’) and the other four at the Donggang site (‘Iksan 13’, ‘Seonnogkong’, ‘Gangil’ and ‘Yeonpung’) were selected. The yield potential of four outstanding soybean varieties selected at the Longjin site was 1.5-2.6t/ha, and that of the other four at the Donggang site was 2.1-2.7t/ha.

        The purpose of this study was to breed a variety of stable productivity and high storage characteristics of white Hypsizygus marmoreus, which has high demand at domestic and global market due to a low bitter taste and the preference for white species. Accordingly, ‘Baekmaru’ was bred by hybridizing brown and white cap color species and backcrossing with white species. The ‘Baekmaru’ variety was bred by crossbreeding the brown and white species and backcrossing the white species. Through repeated cultivation of ‘Baekmaru’, a variety with a low contamination rate was selected when culturing the spawn for stable cultivation. As a results of demonstration test, the yield of ‘Baekmaru’ was 14% higher than that of the commercial variety. In addition, among the fruiting body characteristics of ‘Baekmaru’, diameter and thickness of the pileus were 16.43±15.27mm and 6.46±0.58mm, which were slightly higher than the commercial variety, and the hardness was 2.69±0.89N for the pileus and 3.09±0.89N for the stipe. The shelf life showed less change in thickness and color of pileus compared to commercial variety. The hardness of pileus of 'Baekmaru' was maintained in the range of 3.5 to 4.0N in the 4oC and 4oC and 20oC mixed treatment until 30 days of storage, and was higher than that of the commercial variety. Therefore, it was suggested to be excellent in storability.

        To develop mushroom varieties for cultivating at low temperature on oak logs, a strain with a low fruiting body generation temperature was crossed with Di-mon to select for a line with excellent properties. Selection was followed by cultivation testing. From these studies, Heunghwa 1ho was identified. The optimum temperature for cultivating Heunghwa 1ho, was 13.3oC. The fruiting temperature range was 6.4~20.2oC, identical to that of the parent strain. Growth at 25oC for 7 days achieved optimal mycelial growth of 61.9±2.10 mm, superior to growth of the parent strain at this temperature. The cap shape of Heunghwa 1ho was convex, cap diameter was 57.8±8.31 mm, and cap color was brown. Heunghwa 1ho showed similar genetic traits to those of the parental strain. However, dry weight (20.1 kg/m3) and cap diameter and color are superior to those of the parent strain. The 3 year fresh oak mushroom yield was 113.8 kg/m3, superior to the respective yields of the parent strains JMI 10047 and JMI 90021 (92.5 kg/m3 and 66.4 kg/m3).
