        One of the harmful substances produced by livestock manure is ammonia (NH3), which is emitted at a high rate. Additionally, NH3 reacts with sulfur oxides (SOx) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the atmosphere to produce fine particulate matter (PM2.5). However, the management and countermeasures for NH3 in livestock facilities were found to be inadequate. To establish effective measures, an NH3 emission factor that complies with certified methodologies is required. This study calculates the emission factor by monitoring NH3 concentration and ventilation between September 2022 and May 2023 in a mechanically-ventilated enclosed facility. The data measurement was performed in accordance with the VERA test protocol from Europe, and NH3 concentrations were monitored in real-time using photoacoustic spectroscopy measurement equipment. The average NH3 concentrations for Rooms 1, 2, and 3 during the entire period were measured at 0.96 ± 0.39 ppm, 1.20 ± 0.57 ppm, and 1.34 ± 0.71 ppm, respectively, with an overall average of approximately 1.17 ± 0.49 ppm. The average ventilation was recorded at 2,782.0 ± 1,510.4 m³/h, with an average internal temperature of 26.0 ± 1.5 °C and a relative humidity of 63.9 ± 5.2%. The average emission factor per room was calculated as 0.14 ± 0.03 g/day/pig for Room 1, 0.19 ± 0.07 g/day/pig for Room 2, and 0.15 ± 0.05 g/day/pig for Room 3. Ultimately, this study determined the average NH3 emission factor for the weaned pig facility to be 0.16 g/day/ pig.

        This study evaluated the effectiveness of odor reduction when spraying inside the Bio-curtain (hereinafter referred to as curtain) according to the exhaust fan operating rate. Spraying is a main factor affecting the ability to odor reduction of curtains. The curtain (total area: 37.9m3) was constructed with two layers of light-shielding screens stretched over a rectangular parallelepiped structure installed around an exhaust fan (630 mm) on the side wall of a pig barn. Air samples for odor analysis were collected from inside the pig barn and outside the curtain. The main odorous compounds such as volatile fatty acids, phenols, indoles, and ammonia were measured. The odor reduction effectiveness was evaluated by total odor activity values (TOAVs) summed to the odor activity values of each odorous compounds. Depending on the exhaust fan operating rate, the reduced rate of TOAVs gradually decreased to the range between 15.67% and 68.80%. Because the contact time between the spraying liquid and the air velocity of the exhaust fan becomes shorter (or there is a reduction in liquid to gas flow ratio) as the exhaust fan operating rate increases. The results of this study can be used as basic data for research into spraying conditions to improve the odor reduction effectiveness of curtains.

        본 연구는 멕시코에 진출한 국내 다국적기업 해외자회사의 기업의 사회적 책임(corporate social responsibility; 이하 CSR) 활동이 현지 근로자들의 정서적 몰입을 통해 창의적 행동에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 더불어 정서적 몰입이 창의적 행동에 미치는 긍정적인 효과를 촉진시키는 상황조건으로서 평가 공정성 및 직무 자율성을 제시하 였다. 선행연구들은 기업의 CSR 전략이 기업수준의 성과변수에 미치는 영향에 주로 초점을 맞춘 반면, 기업의 해외 진출 경쟁이 치열함에도 불구하고 해외자회사의 CSR 활동에 대한 현지 직원들의 실제 인지 수준을 측정하여 개인수준에서 매우 중요한 변수인 창의적 행동으로 연결되기까지의 메커니즘과 상황조건에 대해 심도있게 고찰한 연구는 상당히 미비하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현지 경영활동에서 외국인 비용을 극복하는데 중요한 전략이 될 수 있는 현지 CSR 활동과 조직 내부의 제도적 요인들이 현지 근로자들의 창의적 행동에 미치는 효과를 개인수준에 서 통합적인 관점으로 살펴보는데 주목하였다. 멕시코 현지 근로자 192명을 대상으로 분석을 실시한 결과, 현지 직원들이 인지하는 해외자회사의 CSR 활동은 그들의 정서적 몰입과 정의 관계를 나타냈으며, 정서적 몰입은 창의적 행동과 정의 관계를 보였다. 더불어 인지된 해외자회사의 CSR 활동과 창의적 행동 간의 관계에서 정서적 몰입의 매개효과 역시도 통계적으로 유의하였다. 또한, 정서적 몰입에 대한 인지된 평가 공정성 및 인지된 직무 자율성의 조절효과는 창의적 행동에 각각 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 인지된 평가 공정성 및 인지된 직무 자율성이 높은 그룹에서만 정서적 몰입과 창의 적 행동이 강한 정의 관계를 나타냈다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 다국적기업 해외자회사의 현지화 전략에 대한 의미있는 이론적 및 실무적 시사점을 제공한다.

        Purpose: This study explored illness experiences and the demands for a health-related program tailored to individuals with chronic disease at one of the Korean Seon Centers. It also utilized this information as foundational data for developing a program tailored to their needs. Methods: The study utilized focus group interviews to collect data from members of one of the Korean Seon centers who have chronic disease, regarding their illness experiences and their expectations for disease management programs. The collected data was then analyzed using the qualitative content analysis method. Results: The analysis yielded five overarching themes and 14 subthemes. These themes included opposing responses to disease diagnosis, reflections on the causes of disease, efforts toward disease recovery, obstacles to disease recovery, and the need for a customized disease management program. Conclusion: The findings highlighted the challenges the participants faced in their disease recovery process. They expressed a strong desire for a comprehensive management program that incorporates in-depth information, experience sharing, and education. Such a program would empower individuals to take control of their physical and mental well-being.

        자기공명영상(MRI) 장비의 조영제로 흔히 사용되는 가돌리늄(Gd)은 매우 안정된 상태로 하수처리과정에서 거의 제거되지 않고 수환경으로 유입된다고 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 세 가지의 공법으로 하수처리를 하는 부산 수영 하수처리장에서 채취한 하수 시료의 공정별 용존 희토류 원소의 제거율 및 수환경으로 배출되는 인위적 기원 Gd (Gdanth)의 배출량을 평가하고자 하였다. 용존 희토류 원소는 공정별 처리 단계에 따라 무거운 희토류 원소(Tb-Lu)에 비 해 가벼운 희토류 원소(La-Eu)에서 농도가 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 일부 시료에서 나타난 음의(negative) Sm anomaly (<1)는 생물학적 제거 과정에서 Sm이 입자나 인산염과 흡착되어 함께 제거되었을 가능성을 시사한다. 모든 시 료에서 양의(positive) Gd anomaly (149±50, n=9)를 보였으며, 공정별로 측정된 Gd의 총 농도 중 Gdanth은 약 97% 이 상을 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 하수처리과정에서 Gdanth 이 거의 제거되지 않고 수영강 하류로 배출된다는 것을 의미한다. 일별 처리용량을 고려하여 각 공정에서 배출되는 Gdanth의 배출량은 259 mmol/day로 추정할 수 있다. 본 연 구의 결과는 하수처리장을 통해 수영만 연안으로 Gdanth이 지속적으로 배출될 것으로 예상되며, 향후 Gd의 중장기적인 관측이 필요함을 시사한다.

        혈관육종은 연부조직에서 기원하는 매우 드문 종양인데 간담도계에서 발생하는 혈관육종은 더욱 드물다. 혈관육종은 증상이 비특이적이고 진단도 어렵기 때문에 발견 당시 이미 병기가 진행된 경우가 많으며 예후도 나쁘다. 저자들은 우측 상복부 통증으로 내원하여 총담관 혈관육종으로 진단 된 증례를 경험하였다. 총담관에서 기원한 혈관육종은 현재 까지 보고된 바가 없기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

        There is no doubt that global warming and climate change affect animal production and sustainability of livestock systems. High ambient temperature and humidity have detrimental effects on the performance of laying hens. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of cyclic temperatures on the performance and egg quality of laying hens during the summer in Korea. A total of 1028 Hy-Line Brown layers were reared in the open floor house and exposed to a 24 hr linear temperature cycle ranging from 21.7 to 33.0℃. Feed intake significantly decreased and cracked eggs increased under high ambient temperature or high THI (Temperature Humidity Index). Egg production was decreased gradually from 21 to 29℃ or from 21 to 26 THI. On the other hens, it was increased above 30℃ or 27 THI rather than decreased. High ambient temperature has no important impact on dirty eggs and mortality in this study. We believe that present data contribute to predict the effect of thermal conditions on the performance of laying hens by using ambient temperature or THI

        본 연구는 양돈 슬러리의 악취물질 감소에 효과가 있는 것으로 확인된 물질의 효능을 비교분석하기 위하여 수행되 었다. 페놀류 농도는 고추냉이와 아몬드피 구에서 낮았고, 인돌류 농도는 아몬드피 구에서 가장 낮았다(p<0.05). 따라 서 슬러리에 아몬드피를 첨가하면 VOC 농도가 감소되었 다. SCFA 농도는 팽이버섯폐배지와 아몬드피 구에서 높았 고, BCFA 농도는 대조구에 비해 다른 모든 처리구에서 낮 았다(p<0.05). 또한 슬러리의 pH는 팽이버섯폐배지와 아몬 드피 구에서 낮았다(p<0.05). 따라서 팽이버섯폐배지 또는 아몬드피를 슬러리에 첨가하면 SCFA 농도는 증가되고 BCFA 농도는 감소되는 것으로 나타났다.

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary sericite(SC) on laying performance, feed conversion ratio, egg quality and fecal ammonium nitrogen. Three hundreds and sixty 92-wk-old, Lohman Lite layers were randomly divided into 20 groups of 18 birds each and assigned to five experiment for 4 weeks (72 birds per treatment). Dietary treatments were Control (control diet), SC 0.5 (control diet +0.5% sericite), SC 1.0 (control diet +1.0% sericite), SC 1.5 (control diet +1.5% sericite), and SC 2.0 (control diet +2.0% sericite). Hen-day egg production tended to increase by the SC 1.0%, SC 1.5% and SC 2.0% supplementation in the diets. Egg weight also tended to increase by the SC 1.0% addition in the diets. Feed intake was increased (p<0.05) in SC 1.5 and SC 2.0 but feed conversion was improved (p<0.05) only in SC 1.0 (p<0.05). Digestibility of nutrients were not linearly affected by dietary supplementation of sericite although there was an inconsistent difference. Egg shell strength, albumin height, yolk color, and egg shell thickness were not affected (p<0.05) by treatments. Fecal NH3-N concentration was decreased (p<0.05) by dietary sericite supplementation compared to control. This study showed that dietary 1.0% sericite supplementation can be beneficial to improve egg production, egg weight and feed conversion and to decrease fecal NH3-N concentration.

        We have fabricated and evaluated newNew high high-efficiency green green-light light-emitting phosphorescent devices with an emission layer of [TCTA/TCTA1/3TAZ2/3/TAZ] : Ir(ppy)3 were fabricated and evaluated, and compared the electroluminescence characteristics of these devices were compared with the conventional phosphorescent devices with emission layers of (TCTA1/3TAZ2/3) : Ir(ppy)3 and (TCTA/TAZ) : Ir(ppy)3. The current density, luminance, and current efficiency of the a device with an emission layer of (80Å-TCTA/90˚Å-TCTA1/3TAZ2/3/130Å-TAZ) : 10%-Ir(ppy)3 were 95 mA/cm2, 25000 cd/m2, and 27 cd/A at an applied voltage of 10 V, respectively. The maximum current efficiency was 52 cd/A under the a luminance value of 400 cd/m2. The peak wavelength and FWHM (FWHM (full width at half maximum) in the electroluminescence spectral were 513 nm and 65 nm, respectively. The color coordinate was (0.30, 0.62) on the CIE (Commission Internationale de I'Eclairage) chart. Under the a luminance of 15000 cd/m2, the current efficiency of the a device with an emission layer of (80Å-TCTA/90Å-TCTA1/3TAZ2/3/130Å-TAZ) : 10%-Ir(ppy)3 was 34 cd/A, which has beenshowed an improvement of improved 1.7 and 1.4 times compared to those of the devices with emission layers of (300Å-TCTA1/3TAZ2/3) : 10%-Ir(ppy)3 and (100Å-TCTA/200Å-TAZ) : 10%-Ir(ppy)3, respectively.

        This study was conducted to investgate the effect of gamma irradiation on the lipid oxidation, olfactory properties, fatty acid isomer and volatile compound profiles of five different oil sources. Three plant oils, canola oil, corn oil and soy oil, and two animal fat, tallow and fish oil, were irradiated with 0, 5, 10, and 20 kGy level of dose by Co-60 as a radiation source. Lipid oxidation parameters, FFA, POV and TBARS, were determined according to the AACC and AOCS method. Olfactory property of irradiated oil sources was analyzed using electronic nose (FOX3000, AlphaMOS Co., France) with 12 metal oxide sensors and the result was interpreted using principle component analysis program. Fatty acid isomer profiles and volatile compound profiles of irradiated oils were also measured by GC and GC-MS, respectively. Although the free fatty acid level of oil were the highest by high dose level (20 kGy) of irradiation, changes of both TBARS and POV values by gamma irradiation were varied between oil sources and irradiation level of dose. Electronic nose analysis showed a distinct difference among dose levels of irradiation. Although there was no new volatile compound produced by gamma irradiation, amounts of each volatile compounds were increased by irradiation. Only cis isomer, 9c12c15c of linolenic acid was dose-dependently decreased as irradiation level increased but there was no difference among other isomer profiles of linoleic acid and linolenic acid by gamma irradiation. This study showed that changes in physico-chemical properties of both plant and animal oil were remarkable by gamma irradiation. Therefore, a further study should be needed to scrutinize the interaction among lipid oxidation, production of volatile compounds and off-flavor, and isomerization of fatty acid by gamma-irradiation.
