        Preschoolers are the most effective age to start fire safety education. But, if the education contents are inappropriate, they may form the wrong habit to preschoolers. Many educational contents of fire safety in Korea are not so obvious in the principle and order of priority about what to do during fire and they often contain unnecessary contents to preschoolers such as how to use fire extinguisher. This paper has analyzed fire safety awareness of preschoolers and teachers and, based on the results, has claimed unsuitability of training on how to use fire extinguisher and has suggested the improvement of fire safety education.

        To assess the health risk for benzo(a)pyrene by the intake of edible oils, 288 cases of edible oils collected from food markets were analysed using the high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detector. The levels of benzo(a)pyrene were from non-detection to 4.78 μg/kg, and the average was 0.11 μg/kg. The chronic daily exposures of benzo(a)pyrene for total population group and consumer-only group were estimated using the food consumption data in the fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey in 2011. The estimated daily intake of benzo(a)pyrene was 4.26 × 10−3 ng/kg b.w./day for total population group and 7.64 × 10−3 ng/kg b.w./day for consumer-only group. The MOE (margin of exposure) of benzo(a)pyrene for total population group and consumer-only group was 7.28 × 107~1.74 × 108 and 3.95 × 107~9.42 × 107, respectively. Accordingly, the health risk from benzo(a)pyrene caused by the intake of edible oils was considered as a very low level.

        The occupational injury and illness(OII) was influenced by the various factors. This study was planned to investigate the pathway of the activities of OSHM on the rate of OII via worker's participation. The survey on the trend of the activities of OSHM was used. The sample size of manufacturing industry was 3,000 enterprises and that of construction was 1,000 enterprises. The survey was done by interview method with structure questionnaire. Questions about the activities of OHSM were integrated into one category using factor analysis. The enterprises with OII has more activities of OSHM than that without OII. Among enterprises with OII, the level of the activities of OSHM was positively correlated with the rate of OII. The activities of OSHM has influenced on the rate of OII directly and indirectly via worker's participation and the activities of prevention of accident. Worker's participation also has the direct effect and indirect effect on the rate of OII. Worker's participation in construction sector has more effect on OII than that in manufacturing sector.

        The disaster and safety accidents in any construction site occur inevitably. Since the on-site disaster and accident occurrence became one of major concerning factors in construction site, architects & building executers have been flooded with safety management advices. The purpose of this paper is to survey and analyze the effect of the application of Safety Patrol Management System(SPMS) upon the reduction of disaster & accident occurrences in construction site. In order to estimate and reduce the disaster and accident ratio in construction site, various surveyed data has been analysed. It will establish the suitable design standards and suggest the basic database for estimating disaster and accident ratio.

        The rapid growth of complexity and scale can be witnessed in the design and development of modern systems. As such, the severity of damages in the occasional accidents has attracted great deal of attention lately. Although a variety of methods have so far been studied to overcome or reduce the disastrous results of hazards, the issues seem still persistent and even complicated due to the situation mentioned above. The concept of functional safety has been regarded as one approach to handling the matters by shifting up to the functions level from the consideration of each physical component itself. The outcomes of those efforts would be the international standards on functional safety such as IEC 61508 and its relatives including IEC 62278, EN 50128, ISO26262, and so on. In this paper, a method of how hazards can be analyzed to be coped with those standards has been studied. In the method proposed, the systems modeling language (SysML) is playing a key role to model and analyze the hazards from the viewpoint of functional safety. The approach taken has been applied in the analysis of the hazards in railroad systems. In spite of focusing on the individual components hazards, the method based on functional safety has analyzed them collectively with the added effect of identifying the cause originated from the interface between the functions.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of risk awareness on injury experience in quick delivery service workers. Risk awareness has complicate characteristics such as its level of worker and worker's decision about the level of other's risk perception. Data were collected by interview survey with structured questionnaire about injury experience, risk perception, work characteristics, and socio-demographic characteristics of quick delivery service workers by cross sectional survey design in 2012. The sample size was 120 respondent of quick delivery service workers. Statistical method for this study was hierarchical logistic regression method with 3 different models using socio-demographic characteristics and work characteristics and risk perception, etc. The difference between the level of risk perception of quick delivery service and other’s was statistically significant effect on the experience of injury. Especially the higher the level of risk perception of quick delivery service workers is than other’s, the lower the injury experience of quick delivery service worker is. The limitation of this study can be found in survey design. The future study for investigation of mechanism of the combined effect of risk perception of quick delivery service workers and others on injury experience.

        국내에 설치되어 있는 원예시설 중 가장 많은 면적을 차지 하고 있는 단동비닐하우스의 기상재해로 인한 피해를 경 감시킬 수 있는 모델 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고 자 재배작물별로 대표적인 온실규격를 선정하여 안전풍 속과 적설심을 구한 후 재현기간 8년에 해당하는 지역의 설계풍속 및 적설심과 비교하여 온실의 구조 안전성을 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 재배작물별 대표온실에 단위풍하중을 적용한 결과, 최 대 단면력은 과채류, 근채류, 엽채류 온실 순으로 크게 나타났으며 재배작물별 서까래 간격을 고려한 안전풍 속은 엽채류 온실이 17.7 m/s, 과채류 온실이 20.2 m/s, 근채류 온실이 22.3 m/s로 나타나 지역별 8년 빈도의 설계풍하중과 비교하였을 때 홍천, 이천, 성주지역을 제외하고는 대부분의 지역에 있어서 불안전한 것으로 나타났다. 2. 재배작물별 대표온실에 단위 적설하중을 적용한 결과, 근채류 온실의 최대 단면력이 가장 크게 나타났으나 재배작물별 서까래 간격을 고려한 안전적설심은 엽채 류 온실이 8.8 cm, 과채류 온실이 9.4 cm, 근채류 온실이 11.8 cm인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 지역별 8년 빈도의 적설하중과 비교하였을 때 경남지역 일부를 제 외하고는 대부분의 지역에 있어서 불안전한 것으로 분 석되었다. 3. 재배작물별 대표 온실의 안전풍속과 적설심에 대하여 구조물에 발생하는 최대 인발력은 12.7~15.1 kgf/개소, 최대 연직하중은 20.6~21.7 kgf/개소로 나타나 기초는 안전한 것으로 분석되었으나 안전풍속과 안전적설심이 매우 작기 때문에 폭설이나 강풍에 대비한 보강이 필요 한 것으로 나타났다.

        In recent years, the surroundings of Fire have rapidly changed and citizens need for Fire have been demanding very high. Under these situations, in order for satisfaction to all these demands, Seoul Metropolitan Government Fire Academy(SFA) have only to improve its educational training program as the fire educational training center in Korea. The purpose of this study is to scrutinize current educational training program of SFA and measure the relative weight among the hierarchy of disaster management(prevention and mitigation-prepare dness-response-recovery) by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). The result of this study presents that how many hours must be allocated and set the educational training program with scientific and systematic way of AHP compared the current program of SFA in 2013. And This study is applied to increase access and comprehension about the AHP and will be able to present guideline for the selection of optimal the educational training of SFA to serve Seoul citizens the best Fire services.
