        This study was conducted to examine effects of media kinds and container forms for urban agriculture on the growth of herbaceous and woody plants that could be used in construction of urban greenery and landscape gardens. The main objective of the study was to investigate the most efficient culture soil and container form for four herbaceous and one woody plant species. In this study, five different species were examined on three different media kinds [horticultural substrate (HS), decomposed granite (DG), and horticultural substrate + decomposed granite (HS + DG)] with two different container forms [vinyl pot (Ø7.5 cm) and plug tray (20 cells)]. The results indicated that pH values of media of HS and HS + DG were 5.8 and 5.9, respectively while DG was 6.5. HS had the highest electrical conductivity with 0.90 dS・m -1 while HS + DG and DG had 0.39 and 0.08 dS・m -1 , respectively. Especially, most of the species experimented on HS tended to have the highest growth rate in the plant height, the root length, the number of leaves and fresh biomass weight compared to other soil kinds (P<0.05). The growth rate on HS + DG was much higher than DG. Therefore, our results support that HS + DG could be possible to replace with HS. In addition, there had no differences on growth rates between container forms (P>0.05). The use of plug tray could be more applicable than the use of vinyl pot containers, considering growth rates of plants and convenient of shipment on plant production.

        This study was in line with consecutive growth of urban agriculture implemented to provide a functional vegetable garden model for urban vegetable gardeners. It targeted the users who actually raise functional vegetable gardens, analyzed the flaws for correction in many ways including a type of products, quantity, ratio, and the like and existing problems. It is found out from Utilization that first is the highest ranking with no experience of growing vegetable garden education while growth education helping vegetable garden activity takes the half. Saying yes to the participation in the growth education following the process ranked the highest. In addition when planting, in regards to earning information about plantation timing and measure, they responded that they directly determine those by themselves. Second, the type of plant that they are mainly supposed to produce in family gardening was vegetables. Many say that it is easy to produce, easy to get information. In the fall, Kimchi and vegetables ranked the highest, the reason for functional vegetable gardeners to participate in planting family garden is an interest in a variety of producing crops. Third, the current amount included is proper for flower・herb plants in functional vegetable garden model while the ratio of crops vegetables60.5 : medical21.2 : flower・herbs18.3 in vegetable garden model is responded moderate.

        1인 가구 및 핵가족의 증가 등의 소비구조의 변화와 농식품 유통의 다각화로 유통채널별로 적합한 농식품의 포장재가 중요 한 요인이 되고 있다. 물류형태에 따른 포장재 재질과 포장 디자인의 이용실태를 분석하기 위하여 직접유통 농가와 간접유 통 농가 112호를 중심으로 2015년 3월 27일부터 5월 30일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문 문항의 일반적 특성을 파악 하기 위해 빈도분석과 교차분석을 실시하였고, 가설검증을 위해 독립표본 t-검정과 카이제곱(χ2) 검증을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 H1. 유통 채널별로 포장박스를 구별하여 제작하는 것에 대하여 집단 간의 차이가 있을 것이다는 가설이 채택되어서 간접유통 농가집단 보다 직접유통 농가집단이 포장박스 제작을 유통채널별로 보다 더 구별하여 제작하고 있었다. H2. 포 장박스 제작 시 중요 결정요인에 대하여 집단 간의 차이가 있을 것이다는 가정이 채택되어 간접유통 농가집단과 직접유통 농가집단은 제작 시 중요결정 요인은 유통채널별로 구별하여 제작한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 연구결과를 토대로 유 통채널의 다각화에 따른 포장재 활용방안을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 택배 물류의 농식품은 소비자가 직접유통 중에서 물류시스템이 더 복잡한 전자상거래로 구입이 많기 때문에 좀 더 견고하게 제작되어야 하고, 비택배 물류의 농식품은 마트 나 상점에서 구입하기 때문에 국립농산물품질관리원 규정을 준수하여 제작되어져야 한다. 둘째, 직접유통의 경우에는 소비 자와 생산자의 상호 신뢰와 면대면을 통해서 거래가 이루어지기 때문에 포장 디자인을 크게 부각해야 할 필요는 없지만 간 접유통의 경우에는 소비자와 생산자의 상호신뢰가 형성되지 않았거나 미흡하기 때문에 포장 디자인을 통한 상품의 우수성 을 강조하여 포장 디자인을 차별화해야 한다. 셋째, 유통채널에 따른 포장재 표기방식에서 부각해야 할 부분을 고려해야 한다. 본 연구는 농식품의 유통채널에 따른 포장재 재질과 포장 디자인의 다양화가 필요하다는 근거를 제시하여 향후 농식 품 포장의 선진화에 바탕이 될 것을 기대한다.

        This study was conducted to investigate the influence of hydrophilic polymer (HP) mixture ratio (Control, 1.0%, 2.5%, 5.0%, and 10.0%) on growth of eggplant (Solanum melongena) for lower maintenance urban agriculture via green roofs. Although it was not statistically significant (p > 0.05), substrate temperature was decreased as hydrophilic polymer mixture ratio were increased. High substrate water content (95%) was found consistently in growing media under elevated hydrophilic polymer mixture ratio at over 5% during the entire growing period. Substrate electronic conductivity was increased as hydrophilic polymer mixture ratio were increased. Growth index was decreased as hydrophilic polymer mixture ratio was increased. It was reduced about 1/3 and 1/5 compared to that of Control in HP5.0 and HP10.0 treatment plants, respectively. Number of leaves, leaf length, and leaf width were decreased in following order: Control> HP1.0> HP2.5> HP5.0> HP10.0 treatments. There numbers were significantly lower in HP5.0 and HP10.0 treatment plants. Dry weight of shoot and root were decreased as hydrophilic polymer mixture ratio was increased. They were reduced by 1/4 compared to those of Control treatment plants. In addition, visual value was decreased as hydrophilic polymer mixture ratio was increased. Plants grown in HP1.0, HP2.5, and HP5.0 treatments all survived. However, plants grown in the HP10.0 treatment had the lowest survival rate (56%) after 3 months of growing. These results indicate that the advantage of adding hydrophilic polymer to green roof growing media may greater during dry periods. However, the proper mixture proportion of hydrophilic polymer should be determined according to different characteristics of growing media and plant species.

        To internalize climate-related external costs from agricultural production and food consumption Pigou taxes and carbon credits increase private costs for food. Voluntary GHG reduction program for carbon-neutral food can be advantageous over such policy measures since they avoid higher food prices for the poor. The pilot project of low-carbon agriculture certification system is to reduce GHG emissions from agricultural production and enhance the competitiveness of domestic agricultural products. This study examines producers’, distributors’, and consumers' perceptions of the low-carbon agriculture certification system and analyzes alternatives to promote the low-carbon certificated agricultural products.

        This study was carried out to analyze the visitors’ program satisfaction, and to propose the direction of improvement in Korea Agriculture Exposition. The survey was conducted among 593 visitors during the exposition period from October 18 until October 27. Among visitors, female visitors were 19.4% more than male, the rate of 40s and 50s was high to 53.5%, farmers was most frequent to 26.5%, and residents in Gwangju and Jeonnam were the majority with 84%. The visitors with family as companion form were most frequent to 44.2%, the rate of first visiting was highest to 37.9% in number of visiting, and exposition held information was obtained most frequently to 49.9% by word of mouth. In survey of program contents, visitors preferred the subtropical garden the most among exhibition hall, and 65.9% of visitors were satisfied about guide. The rate of satisfaction was 71.6%, and 32.7% of visitors responded that it did not participate in experience program because there was no guide. In survey of satisfaction in agricultural products purchase, 73.9% of visitors purchased agricultural products, and 86.3% of purchaser were satisfied. The 65.1% of purchaser responded that they bought because of belief about agricultural products, and purchase amount between 10000 and 20000 won was the highest with 33.6%. On the other hand, 41.3% of visitors did not purchase because they do not need. The visitors’ overall satisfaction of in Korea Agriculture Exposition was high to 82.6%, and the most unsatisfactory part appeared to drinking water facilities and parking lot. In survey of development possibility of agriculture through Korea Agriculture Exposition, 86.2% of visitors were positive, and the rate of revisiting intention highly appeared to 80.4%.

        The purpose of this paper is to decide priorities of policy-objectives and support measures related to the 6th industrialization of agriculture, and prepare policy-objectives and alternatives to contribute to maintaining and promoting the community through creation of more jobs and added value. We used the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to reflect the experts’ opinions about objectives, means and priorities of the 6th industrialization of agriculture. The important objectives of the 6th industrialization of agriculture were to create jobs, to increase added values, and to maintain and activate the community. The results showed that the most important objectives for the 6th industrialization of agriculture were maintaining and activating the community, expanding added values and creating employment in order. Policy means to achieve these objectives were financial support, human resource training & consulting, research & development, and marketing. The decision-makers determined marketing as the most important among the policy means to achieve the objectives of the 6th industrialization.

        The purpose of this study was to review of animal-assisted therapy. Method: Animal-assisted therapies (AATs) in domestic and international studies (68 cases) were analyzed by searching databases, KERIS & KISS, and the Pub MED(NCBI). Result: In AATs, a few animals were used for the various disease or disorder. Dog centered therapies were most common.. AATs were used in the various disorder and disease. For the psychological effect, majority of the outcome variables were depression and anxiety. For the physical effect, the most outcome variables were blood pressure, heart rate, and stress hormone. However, These results show that AATs were confined to specific areas such as sensation‐centered therapies. Conclusion: AATs had positive effects both in physical and psychological factors even if the study areas have not been applied to the various condition. The further research is needed to identify scientific grounds for the effects of the interventions through various therapies.

        최근 농촌 인구의 감소 및 고령화현상, 도농소득격차의 심화로 농촌의 부정적 상황이 지속되고 있으며 농업부가가치 및 농 가 소득이 정체되는 것을 타파하기 위해 농업 6차산업에 대한 필요성을 느끼게 되었다. 농업 6차산업의 활성화를 추진하고 이에 대한 발전전략 연구를 위해서 농업 6차 산업의 개념과 의미를 정의하고 농촌의 현실을 객관적으로 판단하기 위한 농 촌산업의 동향을 살펴보았다. 특히, 일본의 성공적인 6차 산업의 현황과 포장디자인의 사례를 분석한 후 농촌산업의 활성 화를 위한 6차산업 발전 전략을 제안하고자 한다. 농업 6차산업의 기대효과는 농업의 고부가가치화, 농가소득 증대, 농촌경 제 활성화를 위한 6차산업화와 농촌산업화 전략이다. 이를 위해 체계적인 방안을 모색하여 농산물 생산뿐만 아니라 가공, 제조, 체험, 관광, 숙박, 농가레스토랑, 판매 등 모든 분야가 융.복합적으로 발전할 수 있는 연구를 지속적으로 진행하고자 한다. 특히 상품판매를 위한 포장디자인은 농산물 소비량 증대와 농촌경제를 성장시키는 중요한 역할을 하므로 이에 대한 전략 방안을 제시하였다.

        The major purpose of this study was analyzing of farmer’s intention in related to organic agriculture by using of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Farmers of Chungchung Province (n=164) were administered a questionnaire survey that measured TPB constructs. The data and hypotheses were analyzed using multiple regression and confirmatory factor analysis by SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. Results showed that attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavior of control were all positively related to farmer’s intention of organic agriculture and explained power of the model was relatively high which was 51 percent. Also the results of the analysis showed that the subjective norm was a key dimension of farmer’s intention in terms of standardized coefficient. The study demonstrated that the reduced theory of planned behavior was fit for factors of farmer’s intention. The meaning of the study and implications for future studies were discussed.

        This study presents detailed emission of greenhouse gases of using Clean Energy Agriculture System according to a cradle-to-gate life-cycle assessment, including emission from energy use and leak of Biogas. Calculations were done with the PASS software and the covered gases are CH4, N2O and CO2, Total GHG fluxes of amount to 1719.03 kgCO2/day, 39.63 kgCO2/day (2.31%) are from facility house process, 0.19 kgCO2/day (0.01%) are from transport process, 696.72 kgCO2/day (40.53%) are from Anaerobic digestion process, 846.61 kgCO2/day (49.25%) are from Heating and cooling system, 135.88 kgCO2/day (7.90%) are from Fertigation production process. The results suggest that for effective reduction of GHG emissions from Facility house using clean energy. Reduction targets should address both the production process as defined by IPCC sectors and the consumption process. An LCA assessment as presented here could be a basis for such efforts.

        This research was tried to determine the effects of the family unity and intimacy, the recognition about urban agriculture, and the preference of urban agricultural program on the member of urban agriculture experience program. The family cohesion was shown the increasing average significantly in participated group, but there were no difference in control group. It’s means that agricultural experiences affected on the family cohesion. The determination of recognition about urban agriculture, participated group had been appeared the significantly increasing value between before and after applied experience program. This result had shown the effect to recognition of urban agriculture program in joining group. The preference of urban garden program after program participated, building the kitchen garden program was chosen the best program and fellowed seeding, sowing of potato, herbal lecture with making herbal vinegar, harvesting of lotus leaf with cooking lotus leaf rice. Investigation of the urban agriculture program satisfaction after participated, participant were reported the effect of decreasing stress and increasing family unity, intimacy, and dialog. Also, participant were highly satisfied the garden soil condition and program.

        다가오는 창조경제시대에 제주도의 미래 경쟁력 강화를 위해, 디자인이 융합되어 발전되어야 하는 농업 분야를 디자인적 관점을 가지고 영역별로 정리하고 분석했다. 이 분야는 제주특별자치도가 글로벌화 되 어감에 따라, 발전에 꼭 필요로 하는 6차 산업에 관한 것으로 제주특별자치도가 발표한 제주도 개발 5개 년 계획과 정책적으로 부합되는 부분이 많다. 소비자 감성을 자극하는 디자인과의 농업 분야가 융합되어 제주 미래 경쟁력의 핵심 엔진으로 대두되어 질수 있다는 점을 사례를 들어 조사했다. 농업 디자인의 선 진사례를 분석하기 위해 일본의 농산물 포장디자인과 제주 특산물인 구좌 향당근의 포장 디자인 실태를 보고해 보았다. 또 오토고마에 두부의 사례를 통해 스토리텔링을 통한 농산품의 문화 상품화와 이를 통 한 디자인 경영사례에 대해 조사해보았다. 특히 시행 사례부분에서는 저자가 2010년부터 직접 실행해본 제주 백년초의 브랜드와 포장법을 개발을 통한 농업디자인의 사례를 소개함으로서, 디자인이 제주도 6차 산업 발전에 크게 기여할 수 있다는 가능성을 제시 하였다. 농업디자인을 통해 소비자 감성을 유발시켜 상 품 구매력을 창출시키고 우수 브랜드화 함으로 제주특별자치도의 새로운 경쟁력으로 육성해야 한다.

        이 연구는 대학 환경 관련 교양 수강생 41명이 유전자변형농작물(GMO)에 대한 다큐멘터리 시청과 패널토론 후, 지속가능한 농업 측면에서 GMO를 각각 평가하고 비교했다. 그 결과, GMO는 경제적 지속가능성 측면 평가에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 차(p<0.05)가 있었으나, 사회적 지속가능성과 환경적 지속가능성에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 차가 나타나지 않았다. GMO의 경제적 지속가능성에서 다큐멘터리 시청과 패널토론 간 평가 차는 패널토론에서 이공계열(그룹3)과 인문계열(그룹1)/사회계열(그룹2) 간 차에 기인한 것으로, 이는 통계적으로 유의미했다(p<0.01). 다큐멘터리 시청 후 GMO가 경제적 지속가능성이 있다고 평가한 이공계열 학생 중 43%가 패널토론 후에는 경제적 지속가능성이 없다고 평가한 이유는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, GMO로 식량 생산량은 증가했으나 여전히 식량 부족 문제를 해결하지 못하고 있다. 둘째, 식량 생산 이익이 다국적기업 이익에만 치중되어 있다. 셋째, 농작물 독과점 문제가 생길 수 있기 때문이다. 이는 향후 GMO 기술이 경제·사회·환경과의 유기적인 관계 속에서 지속가능한 농업을 지원하는 방향으로 나아가야 함을 함의한다.

        This study analyzes the factors affecting farmers’ recognition and acceptance of sustainable agriculture. To accomplish the objectives of the study a farm survey was conducted using target respondents which were made of the local correspondents and reporters of Korea Rural Economic Institute. The Heckman's model was employed for an empirical analysis on determining the extent of farmers’ acceptance of sustainable agriculture. The analysis results show that the more farmers think it is important for Korea to adopt sustainable farming practices, the more they adopt sustainable agriculture. It is also shown that the high incomes farmers earn, the more interest they have in the environment and thus the more likely they are to adopt sustainable agriculture. Based upon the empirical results it is suggested that an adoption of economic incentive instruments, education of sustainable agriculture, research and development of sustainable agriculture technology, and an establishment of sustainable agriculture infrastructure to expand the scale of sustainable agriculture.
