        The steel pipe manufacturing industry deals with facilities and materials. Especially thermal facilities are close to vapor cloud explosion (VCE) and may cause secondary damage to facilities because they deal with corrosive substances such as hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid and acid, fire, explosion, leakage etc. It is in danger. In this study, hazard identification method was conducted using HAZOP techniques and quantitative risk analysis was conducted using e-CA, a program that supports accident impact analysis. Equipment in the influence range of ERPG - 3 was determined to be a facility requiring replacement. It was decided that neutralization is necessary using slaked lime. Based on the cost of loss, We presented the proper replacement which is the timing of the dangerous facility. As a result, It was ideal to replace the facilities with 20 years of heat treatment facilities, one year of hydrofluoric acid storage tank, 20 years of sulfuric acid storage tank, and 5 years of hydrochloric acid storage tank.

        This study is intended to look into the effect of construction safety supervision system on risk control and reduction. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to 114 companies in construction, ordering, contract and management. The overall findings were as follows. The effect of construction safety supervision system on risk control and reduction showed that factors of supervision system, supervision cost and supervision method had a positive effect on risk control and reduction. And their perception of the introduction of safety supervision system in construction sites according to process showed that there was a difference between them according to the field of ordering, contract and supervision. There was the biggest difference between owner and contractor in double supervision system, but no difference between them in the perception of risk reduction. These results show that all ordering, contract and supervision are positively needed for the introduction of construction safety supervision. This means that there is a difference between owner and contractor in the perception of process according to system operation. All companies agree to system improvement by the settlement of safety supervision system for the prevention of safety accidents and safe construction, but the systematic complement of safety supervision is the burden of contractor. And there is a big difference between owner and contractor in the perception of responsibility and concern for cost burden.

        본 연구에서 소비-섭취 시나리오와 온도-시간의 장염비브리오 생육모델을 활용하여 국내 생굴의 병원성 장염 비 브리오균의 위해평가를 실시하였다. 장염 비브리오균의 오염 수준 및 병원성 인자 데이터를 활용하였으며, 국민건강영양조사와 농촌진흥청의 표준레시피를 활용하여 섭취 량을 조사하였고 용량반응관계는 Beta-Poisson모델을 활용하였다. 국내 소비자가 생굴을 섭취할 때 병원성 장염 비브리오균으로 발생하는 위해는 식중독이 주로 발생하는 4월, 10월, 11월에 5.71 × 10−5 (5퍼센타일 2.71 × 10−8, 95퍼센타일 1.03 × 10−4)로 추정되었다. 본 연구에서 생굴의 장염비브리오 위해의 영향인자는 소비시점 생굴의 장염비브리오균의 오염수준, 생굴 섭취량, 병원성 인자(tdh or trh 유전자)의 존재 여부, 상온의 노출온도 및 시간으로 나타났으며 위해관리방안을 제시하였다.

        본 연구에서는 국내 유통 중인 농산물 9품목(n = 578)에 대한 납과 카드뮴 함량을 조사하고 이들의 섭취로 인한 위해성을 평가하고자 하였다. 납과 카드뮴의 함량은 마이크로웨이브 분해 후 ICP-MS로 분석하였다. 조사대상 농산물의 납 평균 함량은 각각 보리 0.014 mg/kg, 완두콩 0.010 mg/kg, 강낭콩 0.008 mg/kg, 녹두 0.006 mg/kg, 파인애플 0.008 mg/kg, 살구 0.016 mg/kg, 매실 0.015 mg/kg, 자두 0.021 mg/kg, 대추 0.019 mg/kg이었고, 카드뮴 평균함량은 보리 0.017 mg/kg, 완두콩 0.004 mg/kg, 강낭콩 0.007 mg/kg, 녹두 0.005 mg/kg, 파인애플 0.001 mg/kg, 살구 0.002 mg/kg, 매실 0.002 mg/kg, 자두 0.002 mg/kg, 대추 0.003 mg/kg이었다. 모든 시료의 납, 카드뮴 함량은 EU, CODEX 및 국내 기준보다 낮은 수준이었다. 조사 대상 농산물에 대한 납, 카드뮴의 인체노출량을 산출한 결과, 납은 잠정주간섭취허용량(PTWI, 25 μg/kg b.w./week)의 0.067%, 카드뮴은 월간잠정섭취허용량(PTMI, 25 μg/kg b.w./month)의 0.28%이었다. 이상의 결과는 조사 대상 농산물의 납, 카드뮴 오염도와 이들의 섭취에 의한 위해성이 모두 낮은 수준이라는 것을 보여준다.

        본 연구는 제주도 지역에서 처음 발견된 점개구리밥의 분포와 서식생물상에 대한 점개구리밥의 위해성을 평가하기 위해, 제주도 내 43개 습지 및 하천에서 환경요인과 서식생물상을 조사하였다. 점개구리밥은 43개 중 총 18개 조사 지역에서 출현이 확인되었으며, 이들 지역에서는 점개구리밥 외 수생식물의 생물량은 낮은 편이었다. 점개구리밥 등 수생식물과 환경요인에 대한 서식생물상의 영향을 분석하기 위해 SOM(Self-Organizing Map)을 활용한 패턴분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 동물플랑크톤 등 서식생물상은 환경요인보다는 수생식물의 생물량에 대한 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 특히 점개구리밥의 생물량은 부착성 종과 밀접하게 관련되는 것으로 분석되었다. 제주도 내 하천 및 습지는 수원이 일정하지 않고 수위변화가 급격하여 수생식물의 현존량이 적은 점을 감안하면, 제주도 지역의 교란 특성에 비교적 강한 점개구리밥은 서식생물상(동물플랑크톤 등)에게 서식처로서 중요하게 적용될 것으로 판단된다. 더욱이, 점개구리밥의 점유 공간 내 유기물이 서식동물상의 먹이원으로 활용되는 점 등을 볼 때 점개구리밥은 서식처인 동시에 먹이터로의 역할을 수행하고 있는 것으로 보인다. 비록 점개구리밥의 밀생이 그늘 효과 등으로 일부 수생식물의 성장과 발달에 영향을 미치지만, 이것은 부유식물이 수표면에 우점하는 특성 때문이며, 점개구리밥의 위해성이라 판단하기는 어렵다. 결론적으로 점개구리밥은 제주도 지역 내 대부분의 수계에서 확산 및 정착된 것으로 조사되었으며, 서식생물상 및 수중 환경 내 미치는 영향은 적은 것으로 사료된다. 추후 제주도 지역 외 내륙에서의 점개구리밥 분포 및 확산에 대한 모니터링을 수행할 필요가 있다고 보여진다.

        PURPOSES : This study was conducted to develop expressway safety treatments based on the analysis results of older driver behaviors through literature review, surveys, and driving simulator experiments. METHODS: In this study, three analyses were conducted: surveys of 700 older drivers to find the risk segments they recognized, driving simulator experiments with older and younger drivers to investigate driver behaviors, and expert surveys to find the priority of expressway safety treatments for older drivers. RESULTS : Through survey results it was found that merging areas and tunnels were identified as the most dangerous areas, and more dangerous older driver behaviors were observed on those expressway segments in the driving simulator experiments. In addition, the priorities of safety treatments for each segment of expressways were decided based on expert surveys. CONCLUSIONS: It was concluded that choice and concentration strategies of expressway safety treatments for older drivers should be applied as perceptions regarding dangerous spots and older driver behaviors, including geometric designs, safety facilities, regulation, and institutes to improve expressway safety.

        Environmental pollution, especially particulate matter, is a significant problem in many large cities around the world. Globally, studies have found a larger incidence of skin problems in the more polluted areas of the world (Lefebvre et al., 2015; Lefebvre et al., 2016). Currently, anti-pollution cosmetics are the hot new trend emerging from Asia. Therefore, this study examines the relation between anti-pollution cosmetics purchase and the perceived risk to skin health owing to particulate matter. The results of study 1 partially support our hypothesis about consumers with higher perception of the risk about particulate matter. Among them, those who saw the product advertising felt response-efficacy, and further, this response-efficacy mediated the relationship between perceived risk and purchase intention. However, there was no significant mediating effect of self-efficacy between perceived risk and purchase intention. Study 2 demonstrates that consumers who have higher perceived risk about particulate matter show higher purchase intention for anti-pollution cosmetics (e.g., POLLUAWAYTM day cream) when they are exposed to prevention-focused message advertisement. In addition, the results of study provide support for our argument that this effect is driven by a process involving response-efficacy. The present research provides evidence for a relationship between perceived risk and regulatory-focused messages on purchase intention. In particular, it reveals a boundary condition for these effects to occur, that is, the extent to which consumers have a higher purchase intention because of response-efficacy. These results provide promising evidence to support the growing field of health-product-related marketing communication.

        Drawing both on international marketing literature (Steenkamp, Batra, & Alden, 2003) and value/risk research (Sweeny & Soutar, 2001; Mitchell, 1999), the current study investigates (1) how consumers’ perceptions of brand globalness/localness (PBG/PBL) influence their assessment of different dimensions of perceived value as well as the risk associated with making a purchase decision; and (2) how these value and risk assessments mediate the relationships between PBG/PBL and brand purchase intentions. We apply signaling theory (Kirmani & Rao, 2000) to relate PBG and PBL to consumers’ perceptions of risk as well as their perceptions of functional, emotional and social value. For empirical verification of the hypothesized relationships, we use comparable samples from two European countries that vary substantially in terms of economic development (Slovenia and Bosnia & Herzegovina). Results show that only emotional value serves as a consistent mediator of PBG and PBL on purchase intentions in both countries, whereas no mediating role could be identified for perceived risk. In terms of managerial implications, our findings reveal the importance of emphasizing the emotional value of a brand, which serves as a stable facilitator through which PBG/PBL influence consumers’ purchase intentions across the distinct market settings.

        Currently, dramatic change had led to the growth of the distribution environment and the retailer’s distribution channel. This change had shifted the ‘single channel’ to ‘multi channel’, and from ‘cross channel’ to ‘omni channel’. While fashion companies using omni channel are rapidly growing, few research regarding omni channel had been done in academic field. In this study, we examined the influence of omni channel characteristics on consumers’ perceived risk as well as consumers’ perceived risk toward attitude and intention to use omni channel. We surveyed 696 male and female respondents aged 20 to 40 who lived in Seoul and the metropolitan area. Using AMOS 20.0, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structural equation model analysis were performed to verify the model of this study. The results were as follows. First, omni channel’s instant connectivity, location-based provability, interactivity, and entertainment factors did not decrease impacts on the perceived risk related to privacy and annoyance. Second, omni channel’s instant connectivity and entertainment did not increase effects on the perceived financial risk, and location-based provability and interactivity did not increase effect on perceived financial risk. Third, the perceived risk concerning omni channel did not decrease on consumer attitude toward omni channel. Fourth, consumer attitude toward omni channel influenced the intention to use omni channel significantly.

        목적: 제 5기 국민건강영양조사(2011년, 2012년) 자료를 기반으로 우리나라 나이관련황반변성(age-related macular degeneration)과 비타민과 무기질의 섭취의 상관성을 분석하였다. 방법: 국민건강영양조사 제 5기 과정 중 2011, 2012년도 조사대상자 중 건강 검진, 안과 검진과 영양검진 조사를 받은 45세 이상 성인을 대상으로 나이관련황반변성과 비타민, 무기질섭취량의 상관성을 분석하였다. 나이관련황반변성의 연관성은 교차분석과 카이제곱 검정으로 분석하고, 위험비(odds ratio)는 로지스틱 회귀분석으로 구하고 유의수준은 0.05 이하로 하였다. 결과: 국민건강영양조사를 받은 45세 이상의 한국인 6,219명 중 나이관련황반변성 유병률은 9.6%로 나타 났다. 초기 나이관련황반변성은 비타민 A, B1, B2, B3 및 C와 칼슘, 인, 철, 나트륨, 칼륨의 섭취와 상관성이 있었으며, 비타민 B3 섭취량이 평균 미만인 경우는 평균이상인 경우보다 초기 나이관련황반변성의 발생 위험이 1.35배(95% 신뢰구간:1.03~1.78) 높았다. 나이관련황반변성 말기 환자 군에서는 칼륨과 비타민 B2 섭취량이 평균보다 적으면 유병률이 높았으며, 칼륨 섭취량이 평균 미만인 경우는 발병 위험이 4.3배(95% 신뢰구간:1.76~10.59) 높았다. 결론: 비타민과 무기질의 섭취는 나이관련황반변성의 발병 위험과 병의 진행을 억제하는 것으로 사료된다.

        The collision problem is one of the design factors that must be carefully considered for the risk of collision occurring during the operation of ships and offshore structures. This paper presents the main results of the ship collision study, and its main goal is to analyze potential crash scenarios that may occur in the FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas) considering the likelihood and outcome. Consideration being given to vessels visiting the FLNG and surrounding vessels navigating around, such as functionally supported vessels and offloading carriers. The scope includes vessels visiting the FLNG facility such as in-field support vessels and off-loading carriers, as well as third party passing vessels. In this study, based on QRA (quantitative risk assessment), basic research methods and information on collision are provided. Based on the assumptions and methodologies documented in this study, it has been possible to clarify the frequency of collision and the damage category according to the type of visiting ship. Based on these results, the risk assessment results related to the collision have been derived.

        Despite the accident rate for fishing vessels accounts for 70% of all maritime accidents, few studies on such accidents have been done and most of the them mainly focus on causes and mitigation policies to reduce that accident rate. Thus, this risk analysis on sea accidents is the first to be performed for the successful and efficient implementation of accident reducing measures. In risk analysis, risk is calculated based on the combination of frequency and the consequence of an accident, and is usually expressed as a single number. However, there exists uncertainty in the risk calculation process if one uses a limited number of data for analysis. Therefore, in the study we propose a probabilistic simulation method to forecast risk not as a single number, but in a range of possible risk values. For the capability of the proposed method, using the criteria with the ALARP region, we show the possible risk values spanning across the different risk regions, whereas the single risk value calculated from the existing method lies in one of the risk regions. Therefore, a decision maker could employ appropriate risk mitigation options to handle the risks lying in different regions. For this study, we used fishing vessel accident data from 1988 to 2016.
