        Among the Fire Protection in the interior representative case are spray coat, board, Paint. Intumescent paint has been developed that price competitiveness manufactures and Fire-resistances certificate was verified by experiment. Recent three-hour fire resistance performance developed Intumescent paint is applied as a high-rise, and major structures designed according to the refractory needs to be more efficient. However, domestic and outside the thermal properties of Intumescent paint materials are not proposed. Meanwhile, Intumescent paint in fire is built char layer since the 500∼60 0℃ and middle layer is formed by the decuple intumescent char more then cover thickness at room temperature. It is cut temperature flow off to the steel surface. Nonetheless, Bond Strength of steel and paint deprive as the intumescent char increases. and then steel surface are exposed to flame instantaneously. In this study, intumescent char estimate according to structural parameter(Fire resistance, cover thickness, shape ratio).

        Tracked vehicles for military application such as tank and armored vehicle are operated in severe conditions of driving on gravel road and muddy water including river-crossing. Thus, coating on such vehicles requires more robust characteristics of coating in adhesion, corrosion(salt-spray) resistance and water resistance than those of vehicles for civil applications. Currently, coatings applied on the military equipments are mostly based on the U.S. military specification(known as Mil-SPEC). Typical specifications for primer materials for military application are MIL-P-23377 and MIL-P-53022. And for topcoat, coating material of KDS 8010-1004 specification is typically applied. However, as MIL-P-23377 or MIL-P-530224 is applied for primer coating not only on the tank and armored vehicle at system level but also on the sub-components of these equipments, there has been a need for test data for determining the feasibility of alternatively applying either of these two coatings for primer coat. Therefore, in this study, coating characteristics are compared with respect to these two different primer coating materials so that the feasibility of alternatively applying them is investigated.

        선박 및 해양구조물에서의 생물학적 오손을 방지하기 위하여 나노크기의 MnOx-WO₃-TiO₂ 분말을 졸겔법으로 합성하여 특성을 제어하였고, 입자의 결정과 미세구조 등 분체특성 평가를 실시하였다. 자기마모형 방오도료의 안료에 적용하기 위하여 수지에 첨가 된 TiO₂계 나노분말 안료의 함량에 따른 표면특성 및 방오성능을 확인하였다. TiO₂계 안료의 분체특성으로 비표면적은 약 90 m²/g, 입자 크기는 약 100 ~ 150 nm을 보였다. 텅스텐 산화물은 망간산화물과 티타늄산화물과 상관관계를 통해, 삼원계 분체가 분체특성 및 표면특성이 우수하였다. 망간산화물의 첨가는 독특한 산화환원 특성으로 인하여 방오성능을 증가시키고, 텅스텐 산화물은 안료의 분체특성을 향상시킴으로, 안료와 수지의 비율을 조절하여 분산성, 표면특성 및 방오성능을 제어하였다. 그 결과로, 분산성 및 표면특성에 있어서 1, 5 wt. % 안료가 첨가된 것이 일부 우수하였으나, 5개월 동안의 해상침지시험에서는 2 wt. % 함유된 시편이 높은 방오성능을 보여 해양구조물의 방오안료 적용가능성을 확인하였다.

        PURPOSES : This study was conducted to derive the optimum mixing ratio of phosphorescent pigment for the development of phosphorescent line marking. METHODS: In this study, we utilized a literature review and case study methodology, to describe the domestic and foreign state of practice for the production and mixing of phosphorescent pigment for use in line marking. The optimal mixing ratio was derived by comparing the reduction in luminance over time for the various phosphorescent pigment mixing ratios identified in the literature. In addition, performance and construction characteristics were analyzed using field testing techniques. RESULTS : The results were as follows: 1) the results of the luminance performance standards tests showed that all of the phosphorescence test specimens satisfied the phosphorescent fire protection standard. As the phosphorescent pigment mixing ratio increased, the luminance value increased, 2) the luminance reduction rate was minimum at the mixing ratio of 50%. However, when compared to a mixing ratio 40%, a small difference was recorded, the luminance reduction rate from the mixing ratio of 40% is judged as being converged. Therefore, in view of the economic efficiency, it was determined that the optimal mixing ratio was 40%, 3) as a result of construction on the field, a mixing ratio of 40% was found to have a higher luminance value than the general line marking for up to three hours after sunset, 4) it was found that the phosphorescent line markings without glass beads spraying had a higher luminance value than the phosphorescent line markings with glass beads spraying. CONCLUSIONS : Through the results of the basic experiments of the line markings obtained by blending a phosphorescent pigment, the results could be applied to play an important role in the development of phosphorescent line marking paint technology and in establishing application planning for on-site construction characteristics.

        Other countries(USA, Europe) have performed the fire resistance design of buildings by the alternative performance design methods, which are based on fire engineering theories. However, in Korea, the process on the alternative fire resistance performance design has only suggested without any applications for real steel structures. Therefore, In the case of steel structures stagnant research on refractory measures face difficulties in introducing fire resistance design. In this study, first of all, Intumescent paint was analyze the thermal properties(thermal conductivity, specific heat and density). In Sequence, using the section factor by H-standard section propose of section concrete filled steel tube and hollow. finally presents a reasonable thickness Intumescent paint takes time to target performance of the proposed cross-section steel tube.

        Fe2O3 coated plate mica(Fe2O3/mica) for infrared reflectance red pigment was prepared under hydrothermal treatment. Fe2O3 was perfectly coated on mica via the difference of surface charge between Fe2O3 and mica particles at pH 3. Fe2O3/mica was then calcined at 800 oC to stabilize the coated layer on mica. The infrare (IR) reflectance pigments were characterized by X-ray diffraction, FE-SEM, zeta potential, and a UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer. In particular, the CIE color coordinate and IR reflectance properties of Fe2O3/mica pigments were investigated in relation to the thickness variation of the Fe2O3 layer coated on mica of various lateral sizes. The isolation-heat red paints containing the pigments were prepared and optimized with a thinner, settling agent, and dispersant. Then, the films were made. The thermal property of isolation-heat on these films was observed through the relationship of the IR reflectance value, which was based on the variation of the Fe2O3 layer’s thickness coated on mica and mica’s lateral size as IR reflectance pigment. With an increase in IR reflectance on these films, the thermal property of isolation-heat was effectively enhanced.

        Within aging rotary painting system for plastic wheel cover, sprayed paint particles caused the quality problem as attached to back surface of the wheel cover by the cyclone vortex in the booth. The purpose of this study is to select the spray conditions to ensure a stable quality of the rotary painting system. For this, simulation for flow characteristics of each spray nozzle have been carried out using ANSYS program, and tested to find the optimum spray condition, such as spray distance, spray pressure and rotation speed by manufactured test apparatus of paint spray. Finally, satisfactory results were obtained by testing with a actual painting system in developed spray conditions.

        The purpose of this study is to develop the flowmeter of high viscosity paint spraying system. In this study, the numerical flow analysis of the flowmeter was performed. The velocity and the pressure distributions were obtained using the turbulent SST(Shear Stress Transport) model. The ICEM-CFD13 and CFXMesher, reliable grid generation software was also adapted to secure high quality grid necessary for the reliable analysis. According to the simulation results, the flow rate of flowmeter is 6.49l/min in case of Δp=45bar. This result was in good agreement with design result and could be applied to the actual design of the high viscosity paint spraying system

        Because domestic paint is distributed through an obsolescent and inefficiently operated distribution channel, consumers have declining awareness regarding the overall paint industry. Also, increasing environmental regulation and the lack of consumer knowledge are negatively affecting the industry, fundamentally because regular individual operators rather than manufacturers are responsible for paint distribution. To counter these problems and to provide better customer service, I suggest that paint distribution companies should consider using franchise systems to expand and modernize the distribution industry. In franchise systems, franchisees contract with the franchise headquarters for the rights to sell or distribute products or services. Franchise systems offer the advantages of specialization. Although headquarters and franchisees operate independently, franchise systems cause consumers to perceive the product or service as having one image. Under franchised paint distribution systems, expert franchise groups would determine price, delivery time, and stock quality, while non-expert groups could focus on store comforts, employee expertise regarding products, and brand perceptions. I undertake this study to determine whether stores under paint distribution franchise systems will see enhanced customer satisfaction and increased sales in comparison with non-franchised stores. I expect to find that franchise systems will bring standardization, make store management more efficient, and improve the performance of franchise stores. Specifically, 1) franchisors and franchisees are indeed autonomous, with independent profits and business focus; 2) although managers operate independently, consumers perceive homogeneity in the system, for positive effects on their buying behaviors; 3) by expanding regional sales, franchisors decrease regional uncertainties about product characteristics; 4) small business owners may face burdens in becoming franchisees, but they will have reduced business risks as a result of the support they get regarding training in brand, information, and technology.

        Recently, functional building materials which are made of sorption materials have been widely used as board products, inorganic paints and wall papers. These remove chemical substances(VOCs, HCHO) from indoor air by physical sorption or chemical reaction and control humidity by capillary condensation. Also these materials have been used as countermeasures to sick building syndrome (SBS). However, in case of using internal building materials, the hazardous substances affecting to indoor air quality are emitted from not only the material itself but also the subsidiary materials such as adhesives for construction. Particularly in case of wallpaper and flooring material, the amount of emission from adhesives for construction is larger than that from the material itself. Therefore, this research tried to develop a technology system that can improve the performance of adsorption, absorption and desorption of moisture including the construction process that can affect to indoor air quality. To attend this end, ‘porous securement manufacturing technology system’ and ‘porous keeping construction technology system’ are developed that can secure more micropores in the process of production and construction of inorganic paint and maintain them. Consequently the reduction performance of chemical substances(VOCs, HCHO) concentrations and the humidity control performance improved almost over 30% by the technology system of the Inorganic paint.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual field application of the airless paint spraying pump driven by the hydraulic power unit under high pressure condition. The velocity and the pressure distributions are obtained using the turbulent k-ε model. The flow characteristics under design condition of spraying pump was numerically conducted by commercial fluid dynamic code(CFX ver. 13). The numerical analysis was performed by transient technique according to the variation of stroke times, which is changing from 0 to 1 seconds by interval of 0.01. Turbulence model, k-ω SST was selected to quaranty more accurate prediction of oil flow. The ICEM-CFD 13 and CFXMesher, reliable grid generation software were also adapted to secure high quality grid necessary for the reliable analysis. According to the simulation results, the flow rate was supplied to the paint spraying pump is 5l/min. These results are in good agreement with design results and could be applied to the design of the high viscosity paint spraying pump.

        The present study investigated the concentration of gaseous odor emitted from paint manufacturing facilities and the cases of improvement for odor emission reduction. It was found that the companies located in odor management district observed the odor emission standard more than the companies located in other local industrial complex. We ascribed the reason to the continuous crackdown by local government and voluntary efforts of each companies. Finally, we described the improvement cases of process for odor emission reduction.

        A new method using anion generating paint was tested to decrease the concentration of volatile organic compound gas which is the main cause of sick house syndrome in living atmosphere. The method can be widely applied with low cost because the anion generating paint uses the cheap and abundant aluminosilicate mineral as raw materials and maintains the ability to remove the VOCs in dark condition, which was the main demerit of conventional method using TiO2 photo catalyst. The effect of raw mineral treatment on the efficiency of VOCs removal was studied by applying the prepared anion generating paint on specimen surface and monitoring the content of VOCs within controlled box for 24 hours. The content of formaldehyde and toluene was decreased by 88.9% and 72.2%, respectively. The result of field test done in actual living apartment showed the removal ability of 92.2% for formaldehyde, 10% for benzene, 95.9% for toluene, 74.4% for ethylbenzen, 73.8% for p-xylen, and 83.7% for styrene. The concentration of other VOCs were also decreased to below the standard level recommended by Ministry of Environment.

        In this study, the paint, which has very close relationship to the of indoor air quality, was examined for the air pollution leveling test, and using the various passive sampler, the test was evaluated on the regard of TWA(Time Weighted Average). This study is to examine how the air pollution levels differ between the regular paint that is used for public and the new developed environment friendly paint. The consecutive experiments were performed in the small chamber test to investigate the VOCs and formaldehyde, ammonia emissions and characteristics from paint which are commonly used as the complete material of building. In conclustion, the natural paint showed the highest emission of VOCs among the selected paints, and water paint showed the highest contents of ammonia. Formaldehyde showed N.D(Not Detected) in most of tests and found a small amount in vinyl paint however, it was not as bad as to fail the certify level of building materials. It is recommended to constantly develop the chamber system and it will be very much possible to be used for the estimation of indoor air pollutants from the various paints and other complete materials.

        The use of natural paint for the application to walls and furnishings is now increasing to improve indoor air quality, thereby the natural paint could be a significant source of biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) in indoor environments. Recent studies have shown that gas-phase reactions between terpenes and ozone can generate sub-micron size particles and toxic volatile organic compounds such as aldehydes and ketones. In this research, we have studied the formation of particles and secondary organic compounds during the reaction of ozone with terpenes emitted from commercial natural paint. The paint applied onto stainless steel was dried and oxidized in a teflon chamber. Two monoterpenes (α- and β-pinenes) were identified by FTIR and GC/MS. Several tests were performed to evaluate the effects of ozone concentration on particle formation. Increased ozone levels significantly affect the increase of particle number concentration (monitored with SMPS), which results in the increase of particle counts ranging from 8,000 to 70,000 particles/㎤. Gas-phase products such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acetone + acrolein, and propionaldehyde were identified during the terpene/ozone reactions by HPLC. These compounds are potential hazardous chemical compounds having harmful health effects to animals and plants. The results obtained from this study provide an insight on the adverse effect of eco-friendly natural product on indoor air quality (IAQ).

        Developing a new commercial product, it is need to connect the end users demand of quality to the industrial technology of company. For this reason, this study is to build up the users demand for the imminent marketing product of a certain company by Analytic Hierarchy Process, analyze quantitatively users subjective thoughts collected by Group Consensus, calculate the added-value of users demands and verify the consistency of users opinions by consistency-exponential-calculation. The added value obtained by this method is substituted into a user-demand item of Quality Function Deployment. And, the technical characteristic data transferred from the extracted essential factor for developing and manufacturing a new product is substituted into a technical characteristic item of QFD. The faculty of quality is firstly finished by this procedure. But, because the relation a technical characterization with users demand do not be known in new product, Wassermans method was introduced for the correlation users demand with technology and for the processing and marketing of a new product. The all assumption on this thesis was based on the reliable real data of a certain company.

        알루미늄 전착공정중 도료정제장치에서 발생하는 도료계 폐수(CODMn 1,500~2,000 ppm)를 역삼투압을 이용하여 농축수는 전착조로 보내 재사용하고 반면 투과수는 세정수로 사용할 목적으로 시스템을 설계하여 현장 설치하였다. 역삼투압시스템은 폴리아미드 재질의 나권형 모듈(직경 102 mmtimes 길이 1,016 mm)3개를 직렬로 연결하고 시스템회복율 30%, 운전압력 11.5 kg/cm2, 그리고 실온에서 3일 주기로 발생하는 폐수량 20 m3을 회분식조업으로 처리하였다. 원폐수를 42시간 연속가동하여 5배까지 농축하는 실험기간중 거의 일정한 투과 flux 390 l/m2-hr을 유지하였고 그 투과수질이 CODMn 300 ppm으로 나타났다. 이는 도료정제장치의 잔존 도료성분을 회수하기 위해 사용되는 순수대신 세정수로 사용하기에 적합하였다. 그리고, CODMn 제거율은 83pm5%이었으며, 각 용제성 분별 제거율은 feed 농도의 증가에 따라 감소하였는데 5배 농축시 ethyl cellusolve, butyl cellusolve 그리고 n-butanol은 각각 79, 87 그리고 70%로 나타났다.

        강교량은 표면에 도장을 실시함으로써 물리적 외부환경으로부터 시설물을 보호하고 노후화 및 열화방지, 미적기능 향상시키고 있다. 하지만 대기환경에 노출된 강교량은 강우, 온도, 습도 등의 기후조건과 비산염분, 동결방지제 등의 환경조건에 의해 부식 손상이 발생하며, 일정주기에 따라 재도장을 실시하고 있다. 최근에 강교량의 재도장시 적용되는 도장계에 대한 실제 교량의 노화조사 데이터가 적어 표면처리방법에 따른 도장수명 예측이 곤란하여 적절한 도장계의 선정이 용이하지 않다. 중방식 및 내후성 중박식 도장으로 적용되는 우례탄계, 불소수지계, 세라믹계, 폴리실록산계를 대상으로 표면처리 방법에 따른 도장노화 거동을 평가하였다.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the mechanical properties and bond performance of epoxy paint containing graphene materials. Experiment result, it was confirmed that graphene materials are effective to improve the mechanical properties of the epoxy paint, but it is not effective to improve the bond performance.
