        A novel recombinant baculovirus, NeuroBactrus, was constructed to develop an improved baculovirus insecticide with additional beneficial properties, such as a higher insecticidal activity and improved recovery, compared to wild-type baculovirus. For the construction of the NeuroBactrus, the Bacillus thuringiensis cry1-5 crystal protein gene was introduced into the Autographa californica nucleopolyhedrovirus(AcMNPV) genome by fusion of polyhedrin-cry1-5-polyhedrin under the control of the polyhedrin promoter. In the opposite direction, an insect-specific neurotoxin gene, AaIT, from Androctonus australis was introduced under the control of an early promoter from Cotesia plutellae bracovirus by fusion of a partial fragment of orf603. The Polyhedrin-Cry1-5-Polyhedrin fusion protein expressed by the NeuroBactrus was not only occluded into the polyhedra, but it was also activated by treatment with trypsin, resulting in an approximately 65-kDa active toxin. In addition, qPCR revealed that the neurotoxin was expressed from the early phase of infection. The NeuroBactrus showed a high level of insecticidal activity against Plutella xylostella larvae and a significant reduction in the median lethal time(LT50) against Spodoptera exigua larvae compared to those of wild-type AcMNPV. Re-recombinant mutants derived from NeuroBactrus in which AaIT and/or cry1-5 were deleted were generated by serial passages in vitro. Expression of the foreign proteins(Bt toxin and AaIT) was continuously reduced during the serial passage of the NeuroBactrus. Moreover, polyhedra collected from S. exigua larvae infected with the serially passed NeuroBactrus showed insecticidal activity similar to that of wild-type AcMNPV. These results suggested that the NeuroBactrus could be recovered to wild-type AcMNPV through serial passaging.

        This study was carried out to investigate the consumption behaviors of environmentally-friendly agricultural products, including satisfaction of purchases. Questionnaires completed consumers were statistically analyzed. Regarding purchase frequencies of environmentally-friendly agricultural and animal products, consumers consumed them 1 time per month. No significant differences in consumption by age, living area, family type, or BMI were found. Exactly 38.2% of consumers preferred to purchase items in the packing amount of 0.2-0.5 kg, whereas 39.7% of consumers preferred amounts from 0.5-1.0 kg. Significant differences in packing amount were found according to age (p<0.05) and family type (p<0.01). However, there were no significant differences according to living area or BMI group. Many consumers made decisions based on the outer packing label (69.6%). Significant differences by age and living area were not found, whereas there was significant difference according to family type (p<0.05). Consumers answered that they purchased products in a general supermarket (24.7%) and cooperative (24.2%). Significant differences were found by age and living area (p<0.01) but not by family type. Consumer satisfaction of purchases scored 3.39 out of 5 points. In conclusion, significant differences in consumer satisfaction were not found according to age, living area, family type, or BMI.

        부산, 경남 지역의 8개 친환경농산물인증 지역에서 카드뮴, 구리, 비소, 수은, 납, 6가크롬, 아연, 니켈 등 8개 중금속의 토양 함량을 조사하였다. 카드뮴은 그 햠량의 순으로 보면 산청, 하동, 사천, 부산순으로 함량이 높았으며, 구리는 김해, 사천, 부산, 고성 순으로, 비소는 사천, 부산, 김해, 고성 순으로, 수은은 고성, 사천, 부산, 김해 순으로, 납은 김해, 사천, 고성, 부산 순으로, 6가크롬은 김해, 부산, 하동, 산청 순으로, 아연은 김해, 부산, 사천, 함양 순으로, 니켈은 사천, 하동, 고성, 산청 순으로 각각 함양이 많았다. 전체적인 함량을 보았을 경우 김해, 사천, 부산 등 낙동강 주변의 평야지대에서 높은 수치를 보였다. 한편 하동, 진주 산청 등 중산간지에서는 전체 중금속 함량이 대체로 낮았다.

        본 시험은 온도 발육모델을 이용하여 꽃매미 알의 부화시기를 예측하고 약충과 성충 방제에 효과적인 친환경 자재선발 및 끈끈이트랩 색상별 유인효과를 찾기 위하여 수행하였다. 꽃매미 알은 15, 20, 25℃(14L:10D)에서 각각 55.9, 26.8, 21.6일 만에 부화하였고 부화율은 각각 61.9, 57.8, 30.4%로 온도가 높을수록 부화소요기간은 짧고 부화율은 낮았다. 알의 온도와 발육속도와의 관계식은 Y=0.0028X-0.0228 (R2=0.9561)이었으며, 발육영점온도는 8.14℃, 유효적산온도는 355.4일도였다. 위의 관계식에 의하여 전남지역 꽃매미 알의 부화시기는 5월 22일로 예측되었다. 꽃매미 약충방제에 효과적인 친환경자재는 제충국추출물, 고삼추출물, 데리스추출물이었고, 성충은 제충국추출물, 고삼추출물이었다. 황토색, 파랑색, 노랑색 끈끈이트랩 중에서 황토색끈끈이트랩의 유인량은 2주 동안에 약충 535마리, 성충 87.7마리였다. 황토색 끈끈이트랩은 꽃매미 약충과 성충의 유인포살효과가 우수하였다.

        토마토 재배에 사용되는 농자재를 이용하여 곤충 병원성 곰팡이인 Beauveria bassiana의 병원성에 끼치는 영향을 조사하였다. Chlorothalonil 등 13종의 살균제 첨가 배지에서는 B. bassiana 균사가 전혀 생장하지 못하였고 chlorothalonil 등 12종의 살균제 첨가 배지에서균총이 형성되지 않았다. 살충제와 친환경자재를 첨가한 모든 배지에서 균사가 생장하고 포자가 형성되었지만 대부분 배지에서 무처리와 비교했을 때 유의차를 보였다. 온실가루이에 대한 살충력은 B. bassiana 단독처리일 때보다 화학살균제(polyoxin B, mandipropamid)와 친환경농자재(sulfur) 혼합시 떨어졌으며 화학살충제(pyridaben, dinotefuran)와 식물추출물 유래 친환경농자재(pyrethrum) 혼합시에는 유의차가 없었으며 온실에서 살균제인 polyoxin B의 혼합으로 온실가루이에 대한 B. bassiana의 감염력이 떨어지는 것을 확인하였다.

        과학 기술의 발달은 우리에게 생활의 편리함과 물질적 풍요로움을 안겨주었으나 자연의 무분별한 개발로 환경파괴와 생태계의 위기를 동시에 가져오게 되었다. 이러한 환경문제를 해결하기 위해 다양한 접근방법이 제시되었지만, 환경문제는 빠른 시일 내에 단기적으로 해결할 수 있는 문제가 아니므로 장기적인 안목으로 볼 때, 다음 세대를 길러 내는 교육적 접근이야말로 가장 효과적인 해결방안이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 환경친화적 체험활동 프로그램을 활용하여 미래의 주인인 아이들 스스로 에너지 절약과 자연보호에 솔선수범하여 융합적 에코키즈(Eco-Kids) 마인드를 갖게 함으로써 살기 좋은 환경을 만드는데 책임감을 갖고 환경 보전 활동에 적극 참여할 수 있도록 하였다.

        The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the consumption behavior of housewives in the Jeonju area with respect to their use of environmentally-friendly agricultural products(EAPs) and to assess the need for EAPs in childcare centers also in the Jeonju area. Self-administered questionnaires were given to and collected from 278 housewives 42.4% of whom employed and 57.6% were unemployed. Statistical data analysis was performed on the data collected using SPSS v. 12.0. The average score of awareness about EAPs was 3.57±0.56. The percentage of subjects who purchased EAPS was 76.3% regularly. On this group, 40.3% purchased EAPs 1~2 times in week. Unemployed housewives purchased more than employed housewives by a statistically significant margin(p<0.05). The most-purchased EAPs were vegetables. The average satisfaction score that housewives reported in relation to foodservice provided in childcare centers was 3.66±0.58. About 65% of the respondents felt that the EAPs-foodservice in childcare centers was an important factor for them in choosing of a childcare centers. Approximately 42% of the housewives responded that EAPs-foodservice in childcare centers was needed to improve the safety of foodservice provided in chidcare centers. The percentage of subjects who wanted to expand EAPs-foodservice in childcare centers even though the parents would have to bear some of the financial burden was 42.5%. A higher proportion of employed housewives wanted to expand EAPs-foodservice in childcare centers more than unemployed housewives, and this finding was statistically significant(p<0.05).

        The hot-wave of campaign for fashion brands has itself become a fashion trend now. In order to participate in this popular trend, every brand has launched a new campaign of developing T-shirts each season with a social issue as the design concept. Such a campaign plan is related to the brand’s image-making. Each brand has its own slogan based on various themes related to social issues. Since the environment is the hottest social issue these days, most campaigns’ T-shirts also focus on the image of environmental-friendliness. The purpose of this study is to elucidate environmentally-friendly fashion culture in daily life so that “environmental-friendliness” would be positively cognized by people in everyday life. For that, the design of these T-shirts following the environmental campaign will be developed and their utilization potential will be clarified. The detail contents of the study are as follow. First, the meaning of the environmental campaign and trends of environmental campaigns in Korea and overseas will be explored in order to identify their theoretical contents. Second, the environmental campaigns will be classified by case. Analysis of the expression and characteristic of each case will determine the utilization plan. Third, design directions will be suggested based on the characteristics produced from the case study. As the study conclusion, five environmental campaign T-shirts will be produced.

        This study was conducted to develop environmentally friendly control techniques to reduce chestnut insect pests. The study sites were selected in intensive chestnut orchards of Jinju city, Gyeongnam province. In early and middle-ripening cultivars of chestnut tree, the damage of chestnut fruits by Dichocrocis punctiferalis was significantly lower in wromstop than other treatment such as wromstop+wood vinegar, Capture-machine (p<0.05), While there was no significant difference among treatments in late-ripening cultivars. The hight control effect for D. punctiferalis was showed the highest in wromstop treanment with 40.49% and 41.89% in early and late-ripening cultivars. The control effects for Curculio sikkimensis in late-ripening cultivars of chestnut tree were 34.59% in wromstop imidacloprid treatment and 28.94% in air control treatment.

        This study is to develop the new type of environmentally friendly Ondol system for improvement of energy efficiency, improvement of impact sound insulation of floors and reduction of material & resources in apartment houses. The prototypes for development of the Environmentally Friendly Ondol System of Double layer (E02 System) are designed and are made as the manufactures in order to improve energy efficiency & the impact sound insulation of floors and reduce material & resources in apartment houses. The performance measurement of impact sound insulation of floors is tested. and the performance on the E02 System is compared with the existing Ondol system. As a result, the impact sound insulation of floors of the E02 System is improved more 15 dB than standard level. The E02 System got the first grade Certificate on the impact sound insulation of floors. The performance of thermal insulation and energy efficiency is compared the E02 System with the existing Ondol system. The E02 System is evaluated as more 9% of energy efficiency than the existing Ondol system. The component weight per area of the E02 system is 96 kglm', and it is evaluated as reduction of the existing structure weight. Therefore the E02 system will be utilized as solution for pending problems in apartment houses in Korea.

        Insect pests attacking the leaf of lettuce (Lactuca sativa) were surveyed in environmentally frendly leaf-lettuce-greenhouses in Hwaseong, Namyangju, and Suwon from 2003 to 2004. Sixteen insect species of eleven families in eight orders were collected in greenhouses. Among them, Acyrthosiphon solani, Frankliniella occidentalis, and Autographa nigrisigna were the most serious pest species because of their damage ratio was over 30%. Population of Acyrthosiphon solani showed the highest peak one or two times between mid-April and early June in both the second and the third cropping period. Frankliniella occidentalis reached the highest peak one or two times, the first peak between mid-June and the late July, and the second peak between the mid-August and the mid-October. Autographa nigrisigna reached the highest peak one or times between early June and late July and in the mid-August to late October. The highest peak occurrence of A. solani was observed in early June as many as 4,836 nymphs and adults per 100 leaves. And for F. occidentalis it was in early July occurring 437 larvae and adults per 100 leaves, for A. nigrisigna in early October occurring 42 larvae per 100 leaves. The density of F. occidentalis and its damage as well was greater in soil culture than in hydroponic culture, but in case of both A. solani and A. nigrisigna no such difference between cropping systems was found.

        Many consumers intend to make environmentally purchase. However, this is not always what occurs. A gap exists between consumer intentions to purchase environmentally friendly products and their actual purchase behavior. In this study, we examined the effect of situational factors such as price sensitivity, product quality perception, and label trust on the relationship between purchase intention and purchase behavior for environmentally friendly products. First, we conducted a theoretical consideration through a review of literature on price sensitivity, product quality perception, label trust, purchase intention and purchase behavior. Based on the literature review, we designed a structural model and developed the hypotheses. Next, we collected data using a survey and processed them statistically in order to verify the hypotheses. A total of 213 samples were collected and the data were analyzed using a structural equation model (LISREL 8.70). The results suggest that the situational factor of label trust has a moderating effect on the relationship between purchase intention and purchase behavior for environmentally friendly products. However, price sensitivity and product quality perception have no moderating effect. This means that trust in labels is important when consumers want to buy environmentally friendly products. Although this study has some limitations, it is expected that it will positively trigger follow-up research.

        The purpose of this study was to develop environmentally friendly black dye by comparing Ketapang and Gallnut, that have been traditionally used as a black dye. As a result of FT-IR and UV-Vis spectrophotometer analysis, Ketapang was characterized by condensed tannin, while Gallnut showed hydrolyzable tannin. Due to the dyeability characteristic analysis, the color fastness of the non-mordant dye was slightly lowered to grades 1-3. In the dry-cleaning fastness test, both non-mordant and iron mordant were excellent, in grade 4-5, and the daylight fastness was excellent grade 3-5 too. The L* values of Ketapang were 26.93 (pre-mordant) and 29.39 (post-mordant), which were higher than those of Gallnut, 41.90 (pre-mordant) and 43.02 (post-mordant), indicating that Ketapang was more easily colored as a black dye than Gallnut.

        농수축산 포장디자인과 브랜드 개념은 이미 오래전부터 중요성을 인식하고 있었으나, 생산자 위주의 포장디자인과 유사브랜드의 개발로 차별성이 없고 경쟁력이 떨어지고 있다. 오늘날과 같이 고객의 요구가 다양해지고 시장이 세분화 되고 있는 상황에서 농수축산 제품의 디자인, 기능, 가격, 품질 등의 차별화만으로는 더 이상 경쟁력을 확보할 수 없고, 다른 상품과 달리 소비자가 쉽게 구매결정을 하는 비용이 저렴한 제품이므로, 더욱 더 포장디자인의 역할이 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 이에 농수축산 포장디자인의 개념, 기능, 가치부터 농수축산 포장산업의 현황, 친환경 포장소재에 관한 내용을 조사하게 되었다. 식재료나 식료품을 구입할 때 음식이 담겨있는 포장디자인과 포장소재는 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 농산물 패키징은 단순히 식품을 포장하는 용기를 넘어 기능성식품의 효능을 보존하고 물류 적재 방식과 물류비에도 큰 영향을 주고 있다. 글로벌 식품시장의 지속적인 성장이 이루어지는 가운데 농수축산 상품이 글로벌 상품에 효과적으로 대응하기 위해선 국제경쟁력의 확보, 고부가 기능성 식품 개발, 전통식품의 프리미엄화 등이 필요하다. 농수축산 포장디자인의 기대효과는 농가소득을 증대하고 농촌경제 활성화, 농업의 고부가가치화를 위한 농촌산업화 전략이다. 이를 위해 체계적인 방안을 모색하여 차별화할 수 있는 연구를 지속적으로 진행하고, 특히 상품판매를 위한 포장디자인은 농산물의 이윤추구와 농촌경제를 성장시키는 중요한 역할을 하므로 이에 대한 전략 방안을 제시하였다. 농수축산 포장소재에 관한 연구를 통해 친환경소재를 상품에 접목시키고 경쟁력 있는 농산물 포장산업에 기여하고자 한다.

        There are growing interests in environmental friendly cultivation for the matter of health concern. This study analyzes an economic efficiency of strawberry and tomato farming by considering the role of environmentally friendly cultivation. The Database of Rural Development Administration is used for strawberry and tomato farming households. We adopt a Bayesian stochastic frontier model to resolve a small sample property of the data. Empirical finding is that environmentally friendly cultivation improves the revenue of farming but the effect on net profit is not conclusive which calls for future research.
