        All over the world, concrete gravity dams have to withstand lots of environmental hazards and time-varying external loading during an earthquake. Therefore, the risk assessment of this structure with time may become an important study for the dam structure, which is related to the chemo-mechanical effect on the aging concrete. The focusing point of this study is to propose an earthquake assessment procedure to determine the failure probability with time of any concrete gravity dam for the future if we consider the material deterioration. This material decay is mainly associated with the modulus of elasticity of the concrete and it is explained briefly in the manuscript.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of long - term deterioration factor of 12 months on 6 kinds of coating waterproofing materials (polyurethane 1, 2, acrylic rubber, polyurea, rubber asphalt, cement - As a part of the study to characterize the performance change in material aspect, the research was carried out on the tensile strength of the polyurea coating waterproofing material against the performance change in the long term exposure to the chemical erosion environment. As shown in the test results, it was mainly performed in an acidic environment, and it can be confirmed that polyurea is not resistant to acid. In the alkali and sodium chloride environment, the tensile strength after immersion for the last 12 months showed a decrease in strength within about 10% of the initial tensile strength, and it was confirmed that the resistance was excellent in an alkali environment.

        In this study, an experimental test is conducted on a concrete specimen using passive thermography (IRT) which is an effective and modern non-destructive test (NDT) method in detecting delaminations. The present work evaluates the detectability of delaminations with different sizes during the daytime by the absolute contrast technique. In addition, the most suitable time for delamination inspection of concrete structures is also proposed.

        This paper presents a study on the adhesive strength testing of self-adhesive waterproofing/anti-corrosion sheet used for waterproofing of the large diameter steel pipe interior of water treatment facilities. After the sheet has been applied, similar physical and chemical immersion conditions are simulated in the testing to determine the effects of deterioration through adhesion strength testing.

        For steel structure, corrosion problem can be a major maintenance area. Even with the same steel structure, corrosion damage can be changed depending on the location and form of thes structural member.         In this study the existing degradation model for the coated steel member is reviewed, and a new model is recalculated with the deterioration index, ‘rusting’ and ‘flaking’ only. In the case of durability evaluation with the two indexes only some considerations are suggested by the comparison of the existing and recalculated degradation model.

        In many climatic conditions, there is UV ray, which is called ultraviolet rays, which has the greatest effect on sealing materials. Because UV has high energy, it changes the internal structure of polymer and causes quality deterioration. In addition, temperature, humidity, and rainfall, snowfall, and atmospheric pollutants are also factors to be avoided in maintaining the integrity of the sealant. In this study, we tried to obtain reproducibility by using a composite deterioration test device which can describe the environment of the outside air as a part of the research project to investigate the weather change in the prototype of the structural sealant. The outdoor exposure test result and the composite deterioration test device Correlation analysis. In the future, it will be possible to predict the changes in the physical properties of the structural sealant by applying the composite deterioration test equipment and outdoor exposure test data.

        This study investigates the coating deterioration of water-borne inorganic zine under marine environment. In order to evaluate the corrosion environment at installed site, the corrosion currents were measured by atmospheric corrosion monitoring(ACM) sensor. The deterioration grade of water-borne inorganic zine was investigated by visual inspection method depending on ASTM D610. The deterioration grade of structural member was compared based on corrosion environment such as wet time, amount of deposited salt etc.

        콘크리트는 장기수명이 요구되는 구조물에 적합한 건설재료로 내구성이 우수하지만 장기간 지하수에 노출되어 발생하는 칼슘용출 현상에 대한 이해 및 이에 따른 RC 부재의 휨 거동 특성을 평가할 필요가 있다. 실험결과에 따르면, 광물질 혼화재는 RC 부재의 장기강도 개선에 효과적이지만, 칼슘용출이 발생하면 RC 부재의 항복하중 및 휨 강성이 감소하고 중립축깊이와 처짐량이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 칼슘용출에 의한 열화는 RC 부재의 성능 저하를 유발하므로 칼슘용출 환경에 노출되는 지하구조물에 광물질 혼화재가 적용될 경우에는, 광물질 혼화재 종류에 따른 최적 혼입 비율이 마련되어야할 것으로 사료된다.

        표준 시료의 분광 분석으로부터 획득한 각 원소별 파장 특성 값과 검사대상 미지 시료로부터의 파장 분석 결과를 비교함으로써 미 지 시료에 함유된 원소의 정성 및 정량 분석을 가능하게 하는 것이 LIBS이다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 내구성에 영향을 미치는 주요 열화 요인 을 규명하는 것에 대하여 LIBS의 적용 가능성을 실험적으로 분석하였다. 즉, LIBS를 통해 염화물, 황산염, 탄산화 모르타르 시험체에 대한 유 해 열화인자 정량 검출 실험을 실시함으로써 콘크리트 열화 진단의 LIBS 적용 가능성을 연구하였다. 염화물과 황산염 시험체 각각에 대하여 LIBS 실험을 실시한 결과 농도가 증가할수록 염소 및 황 이온의 LIBS 스펙트럼 파장 강도가 선형적으로 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 탄산화 시 험체의 경우 탄산화 노출 기간에 따른 탄소 이온 LIBS 스펙트럼 파장 강도는 다소 비선형적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 실험결과 로부터 콘크리트 열화 진단에 LIBS의 적용가능성을 부분적으로 확인할 수 있었으며, 콘크리트 탄산화의 경우 시멘트 자체에 탄소 성분이 함유 되어 염화물 및 황산염 시험체의 정량 검출과는 다소 상이한 결과를 보인 것으로 추정된다. 따라서 콘크리트 탄산화에 대하여 LIBS를 적용하 기 위해서는 보다 다양한 매개변수 연구가 수행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

        Steel structures have been prevented from corrosion damage using by paint coating. The durability of paint coating can be changed by installed environment condition of steel structures. In this study, thus, deterioration test of paint coating was conducted for various environmental condition. Deterioration levels of paint coating specimens exposed by each artificial environment were examined from visual inspection.

        Recently, steel has been very frequently chosen in building many civil infra-structures including bridges due to its several beneficial advantages as compared to concrete structures. However, for the most cases, damage such as section reduction, that is resulted from corrosion, was natural and inevitable. Therefore, it becomes very important to evaluate the structural safety and to estimate the life for the worst cases. In this study, the corrosion behaviors of mock-up specimen with box girder were examined by visual inspection.

        All bridges are inevitably undergoing deterioration over time. Therefore, it is necessary to predict the maintenance control and to properly manage the maintenance control cost by deriving the appropriate repair and reinforcement timing. The deterioration of bridges appears to vary according to the years of use of bridges and the exposed environment. In this study, the correlation between the deterioration factor of the winter season and the damage rate of the bridge deck was derived from 1117 total bridge data collected through the GPR(Ground Penetration Radar) system.

        The map crack occurred in the concrete barrier and this crack is caused by the Alkali—Silica Reaction. As a result of the collision analysis according to the damage of the barrier, the barrier was found to be below the reference of structural performance when the crack height was 50cm or more. In the case, improvement is considered necessary.

        In this paper, the flexural test of concrete member damaged due to Calcium leaching were performed to evaluate the characteristics of structural behavior. From the results, yield load, maximum load and flexural rigidity of RC member damaged by calcium leaching were decreased and the depth of the neutral axis was increased.

        교량 바닥판은 대형 차량 및 제설제와 같은 다양한 환경 요인으로 인해 급속히 악화되는 부재이다. 한국에 건설된 교량의 수명이 길 어짐에 따라 교량 바닥판의 교체 수요가 증가 할 것으로 예상된다. 다른 국가에서는 프리 캐스트 바닥판을 이용한 급속 교량 건설 기술이 열화 된 교량 바닥판의 교체 수요 대응을 위해 적극적으로 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 교량 바닥판의 상태평가 데이터를 수집 및 분석하여 교량 바닥판 열화 모델을 제안 하였다. 또한 교량 규모의 관점에서 열화된 교량 바닥판의 미래 대체 수요를 예측하였다.

        This paper presents an experimental study to evaluate complex deterioration resistances of concretes according to addition of modified sulfur. The complex deterioration tests were performed to concretes with freezing-thawing and deicing chemicals. From the test result, it was confirmed that the complex deterioration resistances of modified sulfur cement concrete was higher than that of normal concrete.

        Concrete has been recognized as a material which is resistant to the high temperature, but chemicophysical property of concrete is changed by the high temperature. So, mechanical properties of concrete may be reduced. Therefore, concrete is evaluated mechanical properties for safety inspection. However, research of ultrasonic pulse method is not much.         Visual inspection has generally been applied to examine the coating deterioration. However, it was difficult to evaluate an anti-corrosion performance of paint film. In this study, thus, to quantitatively evaluate an anti-corrosion performance of paint film under various corrosion enviornent, change in the impedance paint coating was evauated using EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy).
