        This paper aims to developed SMC-Fractional algorithm, that is, enhances the performance of Sliding Mode Control(SMC) algorithm for pounding control of Multi-span bridges using MR-damper. The pounding control performance of SMC-Fractional algorithm has been evaluated in shaking table test on multi-span bridge. As a result of the experiment, the SMC-Fractional algorithm showed the performance od reducing the relative displacement of adjacent spans over other algorithms.

        For the evaluation of load carrying capacity of continuous bridges, the testing target span should be selected where peak impact factor can be expected. In this paper, two and three continuous bridges with equal span length are considered and the moving vehicle load analysis is performed. All possible vehicle speeds are applied to the bridges and the peak impact factors obtained for each span are investigated. From the results, the maximum peak impact factors are developed at the middle of the first span to the direction of vehicle moving.

        The goal of this experimental works is to evaluate the influence of shear strength according to shear span to depth ratio of RC deep beam with high-strength hooked bars. A total of 3 specimens were constructed and tested in three-point bending up to failure. The test variables included the shear span to depth ratio (0.75, 1.0, 1.25). Specimens had a failure mode of shear fracture. For specimen with shorter shear span to depth ratio, it showed that maximum shear strength was higher and that more brittle behavior occurred.

        This paper is about experimental works to evaluate the effects of fiber reinforcement to shear behavior of RC deep beams with high strength hooked bars. It was planned two specimens with different shear span-to-depth ratio. Specimen had three loading points to induce shear failure. From test results, it showed that maximum shear strength of specimen with shorter shear span to depth ratio was higher.

        Four shear-deficient reinforced concrete (RC) beam specimens with different shear span ratios were tested using a well-instrumented drop-weight impact machine to gain a better understanding of the effect of shear span ratio on impact behavior of RC beams strengthened with carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP). The results demonstrated that the shear span ratio could change the failure modes for strengthened specimens and also affect the impact resistance.

        This study addresses to evaluate the reaction of bridge support in associate with analytical parameters of skew angle and radius of curvature in curved bridge, which results in the finding of weakest point in dynamic analysis. It was found from the analysis that reaction at the support of acute angle area located at inner side of curved bridge has the lowest value which means the possibility of negative reaction when seismic load happens.

        This study has been considering cable stayed bridge for structural health monitoring purpose . To monitor the bridge, 6 different locations (like 2 points from deck, 2 points from pylon, 1 points from side span and 1 points from girder) were introduce to find the satellite signal received from the GPS antenna. According to the World Geodetic System 1984(WGS-84) coordinate system, the GPS station signal was measured in the 6 observed points. After that, Statistical moment analysis is applied to assess the condition of those 6 position of this long span bridge. Finally, the Statistical moment analysis results clearly indicate the present condition of the long span bridge at 6 different locations. The time series statistical moments really able to detect the damage condition and localization of the long span bridge.

        This study presents the results of an experimental program carried out for estimating the variation of the flexural rigidity of reinforced concrete beams with different shear span-to-depth ratios. The specimens are designed to have identical sectional dimension, tension and compression reinforcement ratios, and material properties, except shear span-to-depth ratio. Experimental results showed that the flexural rigidity of reinforced concrete beams was affected by the shear span-to-depth ratio of specimens.

        A video-based non-contact remote displacement measurement system is proposed and developed. The system captures images of the structure and analyzes the image to determine the displacement. Multi-thread computing and adaptive region of interest method is implemented in the system to compute the displacement in real-time. Field test on a real structure has been carried out to evaluate the performance and verify the reliability of the system.

        This research is an experimental study attempting to use MR-dampers to control the complex behavior of multi-span bridge structures due to external loads such as seismic loads. For the purposes of this study, the model of components in each structure is identified, and then based on the results, a simplified system of the structure is derived. The performance of MR-dampers for complex behavior control is evaluated separately, according to the self-performance of MR-dampers and according to the performance based on applications of control algorithms. Based on the simplified system, Lyapunov control algorithm and Clipped-optimal control algorithm are applied. As a result, MR-damper is proven to be effective in the complex behavior control of multi-span bridge structures.

        To ensure durability and light weight of bridges, high-strength concrete is required for long-span deck slabs. Such a technology eventually extends the life of bridges and improves the economic efficiency. The results of this study examines the minimum thickness of long-span deck slabs built with high strength concrete. The minimum thickness is examined based on the limit states indicated in the Korean Highway Bridge Design Code(limit state design).

        This paper aims at featuring dynamic characteristic of 2-span bridge by means of an cochlea-inspired artificial filter bank(CAFB), for the purpose of effective acquirement of real-time valid dynamic(acceleration) responses. Through dynamic testings performed on a model of 2-span bridge, its dynamic characteristics were featured on natural frequency. They were evaluated in comparison to wired measurement responses. Finally, the dynamic wireless measurement system on the basis of CAFB were found technologically and economically effective by obtaining valid dynamic(acceleration) responses whose size was compressed over the frequency range of interest.

        본 연구의 목적은 고강도 SFRC 보의 강섬유 보강효과를 평가하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 13개의 실험체를 제작하여 성능실험을 실시하였다. 실험 변수는 전단경간비, 강섬유 혼입률, 전단보강근비이며 콘크리트 강도는 60 MPa이다. 기존 연구결과와 재료 및 부재 실험결과에 대한 분석에 의하면, 전단경간비 2.5와 강섬유 혼입률 1.0%인 경우가 강섬유 보강효과가 최대로 발휘되는 것으로 평가되었다. 강섬유 보강 및 전단경간비를 고려한 기존 전단내력식은 고강도 SFRC보의 내력을 과소평가하는 것으로 평가되었다. 향후 고강도 SFRC 보의 강도특성에 대한 보완 연구가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

        대공간 건축물의 경우, 필연적으로 장스팬의 시공이 요구되며 장스팬으로 시공할 경우 스팬의 길이가 길어짐에 따라 처짐 등의 인장력에 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 화재에 노출된 장스팬구조물의 내화성능을 평가하기 위해 일반슬래브, 슬림플로어공법의 합성슬래브, 와이어로프를 적용한 슬림플로어 공법의 합성슬래브를 대상으로 장스팬 구조물의 화재 시 내화성능을 확보할 수 있는 방안에 대해 실물실험을 수행하여 분석하였다

        본 연구에서는 불특정 분포하중에 대한 다경간 연속 보 구조물의 변형률 분포를 추정하는 기법을 제시하였다. 본 추정 기법은 해석적 방법이 아닌 계측한 변형률 데이터로부터 최소제곱법을 이용한 커브 피팅을 통해 변형률 분포를 추정하였다. 제시한 다경간 보 연속 구조물의 변형률 추정 기법은 멀티플렉싱이 가능한 FBG센서를 이용하여 다경간 연속 강재 보 정적 가력 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 실험을 통해서 분포 하중과 집중하중에 의한 변형률 분포의 추정 정확성 및 변형률 추정에 사용되는 계측점 수에 따른 추정 오차에 대한 검토를 수행하였다. 5.89 (하중 step1), 6.26% (하중 step2) 오차로 최대 변형률 지점에서의 변형률을 추정할 수 있었다. 추정을 위한 변형률 계측 센서 수를 감소시킨 경우 오차가 증가 (0.26~0.37%)하는 것 또한, 확인할 수 있었다. 회귀분석적 기법을 통해 다경간 보의 변형률 분포를추정함으로써 특정 형상의 분포 하중에 대해서만 적용이 가능한 해석적 변형률 추정 기법의 한계를 넘어 불특정 분포 하중에 대한 변형률분포 추정이 가능해졌고 추정 변형률 분포를 통해 최대변형률 발생 위치까지 확인할 수 있게 되었다.

        The GFRP shear reinforcement is manufactured into a plate shape with several openings, and it is embedded into concrete with longitudinal steel reinforcements during construction stage. In this paper, the performance of the newly proposed shear reinforcement was investigated by carrying out a structural test on four concrete deep beam specimens. Test parameter is shear span-to-depth ratio, and the cracking pattern, failure mode and the effects of this parameter on the shear strength were examined.

        Structural damping includes material damping, friction effects at bearing and expansion joints, friction at bolted joints and mechanical damping by damper. There is not analytical basis for estimating the damping ratios. Structural damping ratios can be estimated by measuring forced vibration amplitude of a certain mode but it is almost impossible to vibrate the actual bridges to a certain mode by force. Therefore, RD technique utilizing a lot of ambient vibration data can be a practical method to estimate damping ratio. In this study, the damping ratio is estimated by analyzing the ambient vibration data of three steel cable stayed bridges.

        In this study, lateral movement of 78 single-span bridge abutment was investigated. The result showed that the movements were commonly within the range of 10 ~ 30mm. It is recommended that the clearance between the slab and the backwall should be adjusted to accept the movement of the abutment.
