        The external weather conditions including temperature and wind speed in the Saemangeum reclaimed land is different from that of the inland, affecting the internal environment of the greenhouse. Therefore, it is important to select an appropriate covering material considering the insulation effect according to the type and characteristics of the covering material considering the weather condition in the Saemangeum reclaimed land. A hexahedral insulation chamber was designed to evaluate the insulation efficiency of each glass-clad material in the outside weather condition in reclaimed land. In order to evaluate the insulation effect of each covering material, a radiator was installed and real-time power consumption was monitored. 16-mm PC (polycarbonate), 16-mm PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), 4-mm greenhouse glass, and 16-mm double-layered glass were used as the covering materials of the chamber. In order to understand the effect of the external wind directions, the windward and downwind insulation properties were evaluated. As a result of comparing the thermal insulation effect of each greenhouse cover material to single-layer glass, the thermal insulation effect of double-layer glass was 16.9% higher, while PMMA and PC were 62.5% and 131.2% higher respectively. On average the wind speed on the windward side was 53.1% higher than that on the lee-wind side, and the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the chamber at the wind ward side was found to be 52.0% larger than that on the lee ward side. During the experiment period, the overall heating operation time for PC was 39.2% lower compared to other insulation materials. Showing highest energy efficiency, and compared to PC, single-layer glass power consumption was 37.4% higher.

        The paint removal of fighter jets is just as important as the painting, because perfect paint removal ensures the quality of the exterior painting on the aircraft. However, the current conditions for paint removal work of the ROKAF’s are poor. It is identified that the painting process currently implemented by the ROKAF is not only exposed to harmful compounds such as harmful dust and hexavalent chromium, but also consumes a lot of water. Thus, the introduction of advanced facility is considered. This study compares the fighter jets painting removal process currently applied by the Korean Air Force with the improved laser coating removal process of the US Air Force, and conducts an incremental analysis to perform economic analysis for the introduction of advanced facility. Four scenarios were envisioned on the premise of an increase in the number of fighters in the future, incremental analysis shows that laser coating removal method is advantageous in all scenarios. In addition, it is recommended that paint removal cycle keeps the current 12-year and the outsourcing amount to civilian depot is reduced.

        In this study, factors such as improvement of a fishing process and safety, reduction of the labor force and headcount and development of the automation technology for offshore (eel and crab) pot fishing vessels were analyzed. A questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze and select the key factors using independent/paired sample t-test and correlation analysis, and a living lab was operated with ship owners, skippers and experts to discuss practical needs of the site. From the result of questionnaire survey and field requirements, it was possible to understand the level of awareness of ship safety, general safety equipment, fishing work process and fishing safety equipment from the point of view of the field. In addition, there were differences in the measurement results of each items because the working environment and experience were different according to the position of the ship owner and the skipper. The results of the questionnaire survey and various perceptions of field stakeholders were reflected when analyzing the fishing system and fishing process to choose the development equipment applicable to the field. From the analysis results, the selected development equipment based on the fishing equipment and process currently in operation are pot washing device, catch separation and fish hold injection device, length limit regulations and bait ejection device after use, automatic main line winding device, bait crusher, automatic (crab) pot hauling separator and so on.

        In this paper, the result of application of this simple method of vibration analysis developed by the author, to the special orthotropic plates with variable cross-section, and with a pair of opposite edges simple supported and the other pair of opposite edges free is presented. This problem represents the simple-supported single span bridge system without effective longitudinal edge beams. The effect of concentrated point mass/masses is also studied.

        Background: Rasch analysis has the advantage of placing both the items and the person along a single ratio scale and calibrates person ability and item difficulty onto an interval scale by logits. Therefore, Rasch analysis has been recommended as a better method for evaluating functional outcome questionnaires than traditional analyses. Objects: The aim of current study was to investigate item fit, item difficulty, rating scale, and separation index of the Korean version of the Fullerton Advanced Balance (KFAB) scale using Rasch analysis. Methods: In total, 93 patients with stroke (male=58, female=35) participated in this study. To investigate the item fit, difficulty, rating scale, and separation index of the KFAB scale, Rasch analysis was completed by the Winsteps software program. Results: In this study, all items of the KFAB scale were included in the Rasch model. The most difficult item was ‘standing with feet together and eyes closed’, and the easiest item was ‘two-footed jump’. The rating scale was a 4-point scale instead of the original 5-point scale. Person and item separation indices showed high values that can identify a person with a wide range of balance ability. Conclusion: The KFAB scale appears to be a reliable and valid tool to assess balance function in patients with stroke. Furthermore, the scale was found to discriminate among stroke patients of varying balance abilities.

        하⋅폐수 처리 기술은 종래 단순 오염물질 처리에서 에너지 및 자원 절약형의 고도처리 기술로 발전되고 있으며, 공공 수역으로의 오염 물질과 유독 물질 배출을 최소화하고 설치⋅운영의 효율성을 높이기 위해 IT 및 BT와 같은 다양한 기 술을 접목한 융합형 기술로 진화하고 있다. 국내 하⋅폐수 처리기술의 발전 추이를 살펴보기 위해 등록된 특허기술을 수집⋅ 조사하여 연도별⋅부문별로 분류하여 분석하였다. 본고에서 2010년~2017년 5월 간의 관련된 특허 등록 내용을 생물학적⋅ 물리화학적 처리공정, 장치 및 기기, 소재⋅제재, 슬러지처리, 분리막, 공정제어기술 등 10개 분야의 42개 세부 영역으로 나누 어 추세를 분석했다. 총 3,356건의 특허가 등록되었으며 2013년에 638건으로 최고치를 기록한 이후 다소 감소하여 연간 3~400여 건을 유지하고 있다. 등록된 특허 총 건수는 아직 다른 국가에 비해 적지는 않으나 공정 제어 및 기기 분야, 신개념 처리 기술과 같이 세계 시장을 선도할 수 있는 첨단 기술의 특허는 타 분야에 비해 미흡한 것으로 나타났다.

        The Auxiliary Building Controlled Area Emergency Exhaust Air Cleaning Units (ACU) should be taken into account in the accident analysis that the entire gaseous radioactive material is exhausted to the environment through the auxiliary building without any filtration until the pressure reaches a negative pressure, approximately -0.25 inch, water gauge, when the ACU operation is credited in the analysis. Thus, this paper performed thermal-hydraulic analysis using GOTHIC program and showed the exhaust flow from each room in the auxiliary building controlled area to maintain room pressure not greater than (-) 0.25 inch water gauge.

        Nowadays, advanced composite material are widely used in civil & architectural structures. Analysis of foam core sandwich bridges for simple supported made by advanced composite materials is presented in this paper. For the design of advanced composite materials bridge, foam core shape is economical and profitable. Navier’s solutions are compared in this paper to verify the authenticity of Finite Difference Method. Finite Difference Method is used for analysis of the pertinent problems. In this study, reduction rate of tensile strength for E-glass fibers due to increase in size, strength reduction ratios of according to mass, stress changes according to form core height and safety ratio due to increase form core height is presented. Tasi-Wu failure strength theory are used. Strength reduction is necessary for safe design of a structures.

        This study mainly evaluate the aseismic performance of the existing intake tower structure, which is one of the national important infra structures, on the basis of the refined finite element (FE) analysis results. The realistic evaluation for structural damage was conducted by using the nonlinear material model that takes tension and compression strength of deteriorate concrete into consideration during FE modeling. In addition, not only tension crack but also compression crushing was analyzed by utilizing field contour functions provided in the program during nonlinear dynamic analyses when peak ground acceleration (PGA) occurred. After observing FE analysis results, it can be shown that the damage of the intake tower is the most likely to occur at the water level and the base support.

        Background: Rasch analysis estimates the probability that a respondent will endorse an item and select a particular rating for that item. It has the advantage of placing both the items and the person along a single ration scale and calibrates person ability and item difficulty onto an interval scale by logits. In addition, Rasch analysis is a useful tool for exploring the validity of questionnaires that have been developed using traditional methods. Therefore, it has been recommended as a method for developing and evaluating functional outcome measures. Objects: The purpose of this study was to investigate the item fit, item difficulty, and rating scale of the Korean version of the Fullerton Advanced Balance Scale (KFAB) using Rasch analysis. Methods: Total 97 subjects (39 males and 58 females) with dwelling elderly adults were participated, but 3 people were excluded for misfit persons. Rasch analysis was then done by means of the Winsteps program to determine the item fit, item difficulty, rating scale, and reliability of the KFAB. Results: In this study, the ‘standing with feet together and eyes closed’, ‘two-footed jump’, ‘walk with head turns’, and ‘stand on foam, eyes closed’ items shown misfit statistics. The most difficult item was ‘stand on one leg’, whereas the easiest item was ‘turn in full circle’. The rating scale was acceptable with all criteria. Both item and person separation indices and reliability showed acceptable values. This would indicated that each domain covers a useful range of item difficulty that is appropriate for measuring a person with a wide range of functional ability. Conclusion: The KFAB has been proven reliable, valid and an appropriate tool with which to evaluate the balance of the elderly people.

        본 연구에서는 첨단 함형에 레이더 반사면적 감소기술을 적용하고 특성을 분석하였다. 특히, 레이더 반사면적에 영향을 주는 요소, 레이더 반사면적을 최소화 하는 방안, 표적의 특수 재질 물성에 대한 레이더 반사면적의 변화 영향을 고찰하였다. DDG-1000 type 첨단 함형의 함정 고각별 레이더 반사면적 해석 결과 고각이 10도 높아짐에 따라서 RCS 평균값이 23.91 dBsm 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 함정 상부구조물의 경사각이 6도 증가함에 따라서 RCS 평균값이 1.27 dBsm 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 상부구조물 앞면과 뒷면에 전파흡수체를 부착한 경우 RCS 평균값이 2.27 dBsm 감소 하는 것을 확인하였다.

In order to realize "composites in construction", the following subjects must be studied in detail, for his design. Concept optimization, Simple method of analysis, Folded plate theory, Size effects in failure, and Critical natural frequency. Unlike the design procedure with conventional materials, his design should include material design, selection of manufacturing methods, and quality control methods, in addition to the fabrication method. In this paper, concept optimization and folded plate theory are presented for practicing engineers.

        Concrete filled steel tube (CFT) columns have been widely used in moment resisting frame structures both in seismic zones. This paper discusses the design of such members based on the advanced methods introduced in the 2005 AISC Specification and the 2005 Seismic Provisions. This study focuses particularly on design following both linear and nonlinear methods utilizing equivalent static and dynamic loads for low-rise moment frames. The paper begins with an examination of the significance of pseudo-elastic design interaction equations and the plastic ductility demand ratios due to combined axial compressive force and bending moment in CFT members. Based on advanced computational simulations for a series of five-story composite moment frames, this paper then investigates both building performance and new techniques to evaluate building damage during a strong earthquake. It is shown that 2D equivalent static analyses can provide good design approximations to the force distributions in moment frames subjected to large inelastic lateral loads. Dynamic analyses utilizing strong ground motions generally produce higher strength ratios than those from equivalent static analyses, but on more localized basis. In addition, ductility ratios obtained from the nonlinear dynamic analysis are sufficient to detect which CFT columns undergo significant deformations.

        본 연구에서는 1차항 판이론에 기반한 적층된 ACM 경사판의 기하학적 비선형 동적해석을 수행하였다. 비선형 동 적해를 구하기 위하여 Newmark 방법과 Newton-Raphson 반복법을 혼용하여 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 유한요 소 해석프로그램을 사용하여 경사각도와 적층 배열의 변화가 판의 기하학적 비선형 거동에 미치는 영향을 상세 분 석하였다. 몇 가지 수치해석 결과는 기존 연구자로부터 얻어진 결과와 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 새 로운 결과는 경사 적층 구조의 경사각도와 적층 배열과의 중요한 상호관계를 보여준다. 몇 가지 수치예제는 ACM 경사 적층판을 설계하는데 필요한 가이드라인을 제시하였다.

        먹는 물 내에 존재하는 발암원인으로 의심되는 유기화학물질을 재래식 정수처리방법으로 제거한다는 것은 불가능하다. 이들을 AOP산화 & M/F membrane 혼성공정법을 이용하여 목적하는 처리수로 처리하고자 지하수를 반응조에 유효용량으로 유입하고 유기화학물질을 인위적으로 투입 혼합하여 충분히 희석시키고 이것을 효율적으로 처리하기 위해 최적운전조건을 도출하였다. 유기 화학물질 중 VOCs는 페놀과 톨루엔을 그리고 농약은 파라치온, 다이아지논과 카바닐을 대상으로 조사하였다. 실험은 각각 분류별 단일용액과 혼합용액으로 수행하였으며, 실험결과 충분한 분해 및 제거를 위한 운전조건은 H2O2는 150 mL로 정량 주입하고, pH는 5.5~6.0, 온도는 12~16℃로 일정하게 유지하고, 용존오존량은 5.0 mg/L이상, 반응시간은 30~40분이 최적 조건이었으며 그리고 같은 반응기 내 분리막의 사용은 0.45 μm 공경크기의 M/F membrane을 이용하여 대량의 음용수를 얻기 위한 결정이었다.

        유전적분형 물성방정식에 근거한 선형 점탄성문제의 효율적인 수치해석을 위해서 새로운 유한요소해법을 공식화하였다. 각 시간구간에서 변수변화를 선형적으로 가정하고 유전적분의 계산을 매우 효율적으로 처리하였다. 그 결과 과거의 해석법에 비하여 수치정확도 및 경제성에서 큰 향상을 얻었다.

        선형탄성파괴역학에서 특히 균열 쉘의 응력집중계수 산정을 위해 p-version 유한요소법에 기초한 선진유한요소기법이 제안되었다. 세가지 균열된 쉘 예제를 통해 응력집중계수 산정은 종래의 h-version 유한요소모델에 비하여 p-version 유한요소 모델이 수렴성과 정확도 면에서 훨씬 더 적합함을 보여주고 있다. 이 기법의 주요 이점은 근사해의 정확도가 요소분할이나 균열선단요소 또는 혼합형 변분원리등의 특별고려가 없이 확보될 수 있다는데 있다.
