        In order to evaluate the integrity of the reactor pressure vessel, various test specimens necessary to identify irradiation embrittlement. The degree of irradiation embrittlement of the vessel material by neutrons, from the construction to the end of the life of the plant, is evaluated by a monitoring plan that called surveillance program (a series of all plans to analyze and evaluate embrittlement through various tests and analyzes by placing a test piece inside the reactor pressure vessel and taking out a piece at an appropriate time according to the number of operation years and taking necessary measures for safe operation). The reactor monitoring specimens for Kori Unit-1 are located by axis at S (57°), T (67°), R (77°), N (237°), P (247°) and V (257°). Six surveillance capsules are attached to the inside of the pressure vessel around the core and to the outside of the thermal shield. This surveillance container determines the withdrawal timing of the surveillance container according to the provisions of ASTM E185-82. In the monitoring test piece, there are neutron dosimeter materials to measure and evaluate the irradiated neutron flux, and Ni, Cu, Fe, Co-Al, Cd, and shielded Co-Al monitors are wired in the monitoring container. Each axial position is contained in a spacer hole. The neutron dosimetry monitor measures the neutron dose using isotopes produced by neutrons during operation of the reactor. The Al-Co specimen, which can evaluate the degree of radioactivity of cobalt, is located on the lower part of the specimen. The content of Co in the Al-Co specimen is 0.15%, and when expressed in ppm, it is 1,500 ppm, which is similar to the cobalt content of 1,414 ppm in the internal structure of the reactor vessel presented in NUREG-3474. If the radiation value of the Al-Co sample in the reactor monitoring specimen can be measured, the radiation value of the internal structure of the reactor can be indirectly compared. Since the monitoring specimen is located outside of the thermal shield, radiation should be less than that of the thermal shield. Korea Reactor Monitoring Technology performed gamma measurement on Al-Co specimens in 6 monitoring specimens, and although there are differences depending on the sample, it shows radioactivity values around the order of 1E+07 dps/g, or Bq/g. In conclusion, it is thought that using this measurement values, it is possible to verify the evaluation of internal structure radiation for Kori unit-1 decommissioning.

        A 14-year-old castrated male Shih Tzu presented with acute hemorrhagic vomiting. The initial medical records indicated a probable diagnosis of acute gastritis due to inappropriate food intake. Although gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy was the preferred diagnostic approach, the client declined anesthesia because of the dog’s underlying heart condition. Therefore, we opted for anesthesia-free capsule endoscopy. The procedure identified severe gastritis with no detectable abnormalities in the other GI regions. Following diagnosis, dietary modifications and omeprazole treatment were initiated, resulting in the resolution of clinical symptoms. Follow- up capsule endoscopy 3 weeks later verified a significant improvement in gastritis. This case highlights the potential of capsule endoscopy as a valuable diagnostic tool in patients presenting with acute vomiting.

        최근 건축물의 보수보강 및 리모델링시 구조부재를 부착시키거나 고정하는데 있어서 시공의 유연성 및 용이성으로 후설치 부착식 케미컬앵커의 사용이 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 그동안 후설치 익스팬션앵커에 대한 내력평가는 지난 10년간 실 험을 통한 연구가 지속되어 설계기준식 제정등 어느정도 정립단계에 있으나, 부착식 케미컬앵커에 대한 해석 및 실험적 연구는 아직 미비한 실정으로, 현재 설계자와 시공자가 신뢰할 수 있는 명확한 설계기준이 없는 상태로서 외국의 설계기준에 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 부착식 캡슐형 및 주입형 케미컬앵커의 볼트직경, 매입깊이, 연단거리 그리고 앵커간격를 변수로 한 인발시험을 통하여 비균열 무근 콘크리트에 매입된 케미컬앵커의 인발내력에 미치는 제요소를 분석하고, 구조적 안 정성을 고려한 합리적인 부착식 케미컬앵커 설계를 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다.

        국제적으로 최근의 세계적인 축산 ICT 개발 추세는 음성, 맥박, 저작수, 호흡수, CCTV 영상인식 등 보다 다양하고 다중적ㆍ통합적인 센서기술을 접목하여 분만, 상해, 질병 감염, 발정, 반추 및 저작 등 가축의 중요한 생명ㆍ생산 활동을 판단하고 조기에 발견하는 연구들이 시도되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 ICT 기술을 활용하여 농가 생산성 향상 방안의 일환으로 체류형 바이오캡슐 내 pH, 반추위 체온 및 활동성 센서를 활용한 생체정보를 수집하였고 도축등급과의 상관관계 여부를 파악하고자 수행하였다. 시험방법으로는 26개월령의 한우 거세우 10두를 공시하여 5개월간 바이오캡슐 자료들을 수집하였고 이후 도축하여 등급판정성적과의 연관성 여부를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 육량 등급과 관련이 있는 등심단면적, 등지방두께, 도체중과 생체형질인 반추위 pH, 체온 그리고 활동성과는 모두 정(+)의 상관을 보였다. 육질등급과 관련 있는 근내지방도 및 성숙도는 생체형질인 체온에서는 정(+)의 상관을, pH 및 활동성과는 부(-)의 상관을 나타낸 반면에, 조직감에 대하여 체온은 부(-)의 상관을, pH 및 활동성과 는 정(+)의 상관을 보였다. 특히, 활동성과 근내지방도간의 상관계수가 –0.65로 통계적 유의성을 보였는데 (p<0.05), 이러한 결과는 소의 활동성이 낮으면 근내지방도는 높아진다는 것을 제시하여 준다. 반면에 pH와 도체중 간의 상관계수는 0.50으로 나타나 정(+)의 상관을 보였다. 이는 반추위의 pH가 낮아지면 체중도 작아진다는 것으로 분석된다. 본 연구 결과를 확대하여 계절 및 시간대별 생체정보가 도축성적에 미치는 요인에 대하여 추가적인 분석이 필요하며, 이를 근거로 한우 생산성 향상을 위한 생체정보를 활용할 수 있는 정보를 제공해 줄 것으로 판단된다.

        This study compares the differences in the gastrointestinal transit time between the conventional capsule endoscope and a minimized capsule endoscope model in normal dogs to verify whether the minimization of capsule endoscope can help relief retention in the gastrointestinal tract, especially in the pyloric passage. Three male beagles were used as the experimental group for which the minimized capsule endoscope model was orally administered and the control group consisted of three beagle dogs for which the conventional capsule endoscope was orally administered. Nine experiments were conducted with three experiments for each dog in each group. The results showed a significant difference in the gastric transit time (GTT) by the minimization of the capsule endoscope between the two groups (control group: 123.3 ± 80 min, experimental group: 63.3 ± 40.9 min, p=0.019). In contrast, the difference in the small bowel transit time (SBTT) by the minimization of the capsule endoscope between the two groups (control group: 86.6 ± 58.9 min, experimental group: 80 ± 33.5 min, p=0.863) was not significant. In this study, the capsule endoscopes reached the large intestine without retention in the small intestine in all subjects. The significant difference in the GTT between the control group using the conventional capsule endoscope and the experimental group using the minimized capsule endoscope model suggests that the smaller size of the capsule endoscope is helpful in resolving retention in the gastrointestinal tract, thus shorting the GTT.

        This study investigated the prokinetic effect of metoclopramide and mirtazapine on gastric transit time (GTT), small bowel transit time (SBTT) and gastrointestinal transit time (GITT) during capsule endoscopy in four healthy beagle dogs. Four beagle dogs participated in the experiment as four groups at intervals of more than three days as the following: Control group 1 (capsule alone), Control group 2 (capsule alone), Metoclopramide administered group (metoclopramide + capsule) and Mirtazapine administered group (mirtazapine + capsule). The results of this study demonstrated there was no significant difference in GTT ([min] control group 1: 105 ± 90, control group 2: 172.5 ± 102 vs metoclopramide administered group: 247.5 ± 93, p = 0.07, 0.10) and SBTT ([min] control group 1: 120 ± 88, control group 2: 75 ± 39 vs metoclopramide administered group: 37.5 ± 15, p = 0.20, 0.18) for capsule only administered groups (control group 1 & 2) compared to metoclopramide administered group. In addition, there was no significant difference in GTT ([min] control group 1: 105 ± 90, control group 2: 172.5 ± 102 vs mirtazapine administered group: 127.5 ± 45, p = 0.56, 0.36) and SBTT ([min] control group 1: 120 ± 88, control group 2: 75 ± 39 vs mirtazapine administered group: 157.5 ± 38, p = 0.29, 0.07) between capsule only administered groups (control group 1 & 2) and mirtazapine administered group. In this study, the fact that metoclopramide might be ineffective and administration of mirtazapine might be inadequate in dogs were confirmed.

        This study optimized physicochemical factors for the sphericity of capsule type-fish roe analogs using equipment with double nozzles. The manufacturing process of fish roe analogs was optimized by response surface methodology with central composite design. For the optimum conditions of sphericity, sodium alginate concentration, calcium chloride concentration, agitation speed of calcium chloride solution in a reactor, and dropping height were investigated as independent variables. Soybean oil was put into the equipment through an internal nozzle, along with sodium alginate solution through an external nozzle into calcium chloride solution. The optimum conditions for the production of fish roe analogs were 1.66% (w/v) sodium alginate, 1.86% (w/v) calcium chloride, agitation speed of calcium chloride at 280 rpm, dropping height at 17 cm between the tip of the nozzle and the surface of calcium chloride solution. Consequently, the fish roe analogs showed a high sphericity of 99.8±0.77% at optimal conditions.

        A capsule is the device for irradiation test of nuclear materials and fuels in HANARO. The instrumentation cables are sealed tightly by brazing at the top of the capsule. In this study, the integrities at the brazing of both Inconel 600 and STS 310 materials were confirmed by tensile test, survey of damage on coating, and measurement of insulation resistance. At tensile test, brazing areas were not damaged but the thermocouples themselves were broken on both the materials. At flame heat test, the coating of STS 310 material was maintained without damage but the brittle fracture on Inconel 600 material was observed. Insulation resistances were confirmed to be satisfactory in case of both the materials. In this analysis, the thermocouple was expanded by 0.81mm on the direction of y-axis and the tube was contracted by 0.57mm on the direction of x-axis. As the result, cracks might be occurred with thermal stresses. EDX spectrum analysis showed that the BAg-1 filler metal formed a thin reaction layer on the surface of brazed metal.

        본 연구는 춘란 야생 변이종의 육종을 위한 기초 자료 를 얻고자 실시하였으며, 야생종의 개화시기를 꽃봉오리, 반개화, 개화, 개화 후 10일, 개화 후 20일의 5단계로 나 누어 자가 수분시킨 후 삭과의 형태적 특성과 발아율을 조사한 결과이다. 착과율은 개화 후 20일에 교배한 것에 서 100%로 가장 높았고, 삭과의 무게는 반개화 때 교배 한 것이 가장 무거웠다. 5단계로 나누어 발아율을 조사한 결과 반개화에서 가장 높게 나타났으며, 교배 후 채종 일수를 150일, 165일, 180일의 3단계로 달리하여 발아율 을 조사한 결과에서는 교배 후 채종일수를 150일에 파종 한 종자에서 5%로 가장 높게 나타났다. NaOCl 처리를 통한 발아율을 조사한 결과에서는 2%로 처리한 것에서 53.3%의 발아율을 보여 가장 좋은 결과를 나타내었다.

        This study was conducted to investigate specific stages and distribution of overwintering nymphs of green rice leafhopper, Nephotettix cincticeps by measuring head capsule width. The nymphal head capsule width of the 1st instar to the 5th instar was 0.381, 0.502, 0.673, 0.979 and 1.128 ㎜, respectively. Its coefficient variation was 5.3, 4.0, 3.0, 4.5 and 5.3%, respectively. Growth ratio of each instar was not significantly different among 2nd to 4th instars as 1.31 to 1.34, but for the 5th instar it decreased as 1.28. The logarithm of the nymphal head capsule width was regressed as a function of the stage number of insects, resulting in LogY = 1.4627 + 0.1192X (r² = 0.9993). Also fitness to the Dyar’s law for the nymphal head capsule width of each instar was 98% or over and the Dyar’s constant (K) was 1.316. The occurrence of N. cincticeps was maximum at the end of January with 195 individuals/0.25 ㎡. The most abundant instar in the overwintering N. cincticeps population was 4th instar accounting for over 90%. Population of the 5th instar began to increase from mid-March, and adults began to occur in early April.

        Determining age distributions of insect is required for many basic ecological studies. Most of insect developmental studies, the head capsule width and other developmental traits have been widely used to distinguish the instars. Unlike to other insect species, collembolan continues to molt after they reach sexual maturity. So these traits sometimes make it difficult to conduct developmental studies. Model animal used in this study was Paranura rosea a native collembolan speciese. To determine the age groups of P. rosea, we periodically (1week) made digital images of P. rosea (over 100 different images) under the magnifier (DIMIS-M) for consecutive 20 week. And then the head capsule width and the surface area of P. rosea were analyzed using a image software (ImageJ). In this test the head capsule widths and surface area were set as developmental parameters. Both two developmental parameters showed time-dependent increase patterns. And they gave good agreements between predicted developmental parameters and observed parameters (r2=0.83 and 0.71). Based on the reproducibility of juveniles and statistical mean separation tests (tukey's test), both two developmental parameters could be divided into 3 age groups. The information given this study will be used as a basis for understanding the population dynamics and other ecological research.

        파밤나방 유충을 실내에서 5세대 동안 인공사육하여 탈피할 때마다 두폭의 최대치를 측정하여 영기별 생장율을 구한 결과 2령 유충의 생장율은 1.43 이었고, 3령은 1.55, 4령은 1.48, 5령은 1.54, 6령은 1.76이었다. 한편 두폭 평?치의 대수를 Ycnr, 령의 수를 X축으로 하여 회귀직선식을 구한 결과 LogY=-0.819+0.1872X(=)었고 Dyar의 법칙과 동일한 기하급수적 생장을 하였다. 각영기별 두폭의 평균치와 Dyar의 법칙과 적합도는 1령 유충이 94.7%, 2령은 98.3, 3령은 98.7, 5령은 94.6 6령은 92.2%었다. Dyar의 항수 (K)는 1.54였다.

        배나무 줄기벌의 유충을 수체내에서 채집하여 두폭을 측정하여 영기를 판정함과 동시에 성충비를 알아본 바 다음과 같다. 1) 유충의 두폭의 변이곡선은 구분된 6개의 계곡으로 나타나는데 이것은 5회의 탈피를 하여 6영을 지내는 것으로 추정된다. 2) 두폭의 표준편차는 1영과 2영이외에는 영이 커짐에 따라 커졌으며, 변이계수는 영이 커짐에 따라 줄어지는 경향이었다. 그리고 성장비는 1-2영시는 크고, 영이 높아짐에 따라 적어졌다. 3) 배나무 줄기벌 유충의 두폭성장 추정에는 Dyar식 보다 Gains와 Campbell식이 더욱 적합하였다. 4) 유충 영기는 피해 정도로 보아서 다음과 같이 추정된다. 즉 2-4영의 유충 피해는 극히 적으며 피해증상이 나타나지 않으나 5-6영시 피해는 급진적이며 외형으로 피해가 나타난다.
