        The discharge of industrial oily wastewater and oil spill accidents has resulted in significant environmental pollution, creating an urgent need for the treatment of oily wastewater. Nanofiber membranes, known for their high stability, flux, and efficiency, are widely employed in oil–water separation. This study systematically compared the performance of polyacrylonitrile/ graphene oxide (PAN/GO) composite nanofiber membranes prepared through immersion and electrospinning methods for oily wastewater treatment. Experimental findings demonstrated that immersion-prepared membranes achieved high flux (772.9 ± 2.9 L·m−2·h−1, n-hexane/water mixture) and efficiency (98.8%) at a GO concentration of 1.0 g/mL. On the other hand, electrospinning-prepared membranes exhibited superior flux (1500.3 ± 4.4 L·m−2·h−1, n-hexane/water mixture) and efficiency (99.6%) at a higher GO concentration (1.5 g/mL). This membrane displayed excellent stability, maintaining their exceptional performance even after ten cycles of separation. This study compared the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods for preparation of PAN/GO composite nanofiber membrane, offering valuable guidance for practical applications.

        The purpose of this study is to use the hybrid steam-solvent process, because it is created in the form of water, bitumen, and water/bitumen emulsion by hot steam, so effective separation is required. Methods for separating the emulsion include a chemical separation method by adding a chemical, a separation method using an electrostatic property, a separation method using a membrane, a separation method using a microwave, and the like. Among them, the most used method is the separation method using a chemical, and it is reported that the separation efficiency of the emulsion is the best. In this study, a method for efficiently separating bitumen emulsions using a chemical separation method adding an emulsifier was investigated. In particular, technological trends in oil sand oil treatment technology were analyzed based on patent analysis.

        본 연구에서는 참외과실의 수확후 식용왁스코팅처리가 과실품질 및 과골 갈변에 미치는 대사체의 변화를 분석하였다. 코코넛 오일과 밀랍 (9:1 w/w) 처리를 참외 과실표면에 코팅 후 실온 저장 7일후에 과실 품질, 에틸렌 발생량 및 호흡량을 조사하였다. 그 결과, 참외의 경도와 골갈변도는 식용코팅처리된 과실과 무처리군 사이에 유의한 차이는 없었다. 하지만, 과피색의 명도(L*), 순도(a*), 및 색상각(hue angle)은 식용왁스처리군이 무처리군에 비해 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이는 호흡량 및 에틸렌 발생량이 식용왁스처리에 의해 유의하게 낮아져 과피색이 유지된 것으로 생각된다. 식용왁스 처리에 의한 참외의 대사체 변화를 분석한 결과, gamma-aminobutyric acid, aspartate 그리고 myo-inositol 대사가 가장 유의적인 차이를 나타났으며, 특히 삼투보호제 역할을 하는 alanine, 가바(GABA)성분이 식용왁스코팅에 의해 증가하였다. 따라서, 식용왁스코팅처리는 호흡과 에틸렌 발생의 억제, 수분 스트레스 경감 등을 통해 참외의 선도 유지를 유도한 것으로 판단되며, 참외 과피색 변화 억제 등 상품성 향상에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

        In this study, for the treatment efficiency of the IGF process for the treatment of produced water (PW) discharged from the oil sands plant, the bench-scale oil sands plant PWT package was designed, manufactured and evaluated to verify the efficiency of the process. The microbubble generation efficiency and microbubble size change according to the circulation pump pressure were observed, and the correlation between influent concentration and temperature, residence time and oil-water separation performance was analyzed.

        본 연구는 갈색날개매미충의 기계유유제 처리 방법별 부화율과 산란에 의한 사과 열매의 품질 변화에 대해 조사하였다. 기계유유제 처리 효과를 보면 기계유유제 20배를 도포한 것이 평균 0.57%로 가장 적은 부화율을 보였고, 분무한 가지에서는 평균 1%의 부화율을 보였다. 기계유유제를 50배 도포 처리시 부화율이 약 35%를 보인반면 분무처리는 약 77%를 보여 편차를 고려하면 무처리와 차이가 없는 것으로 보인다. 홍로와 후지 품종에서 갈색날개매미충이 산란한 결과지와 산란되지 않은 결과지에 이듬해 사과 열매가 결실되어도 과실의 품질 차이는 통계적 유의성은 없었다. 또한 갈색날개매미충의 산란에 의한 가지의 부러짐도 없었고, 결과지 생육도 통계적 유의성은 없었다.

        PURPOSES: This study evaluated the effect of fog seal treatment utilizing an agricultural oil-based asphalt concrete sealant (ABCS) on the long-term performance of an asphalt pavement. METHODS: Fog seal treatment using ABCS was applied on 800 m of the pavement section in the test section with a total length of 2,400 m; the remaining pavement section was not considered for this treatment. A series of laboratory and field tests were conducted on both sections, including a Marshall stability test, penetration test, viscosity test, skid resistance test, and pavement surface macrotexture test. In addition, the pavement condition index (PCI) was determined 8 years after the ABCS application to evaluate the effect of the ABCS treatment on the pavement’s long-term performance. RESULTS : The ABCS-treated section exhibited a PCI of 75, whereas the non-treated section exhibited a value of 64. Furthermore, a MicroPAVERTM‚ pavement management system determined that the pavement deterioration rates (i.e., drops in PCI) were 3.6 and 5.1 per year for the ABCS-treated and non-treated sections, respectively. CONCLUSIONS : The results of the series of laboratory and field tests revealed that the ABCS treatment increased the pavement performance life by approximately 3.5 years.

        Physical smothering in a long time and toxic components due to the oil spill and oil slick disasters can not only affect directly, very seriously marine creatures, plants and life of other animals but also they pollute the air environment and reduce the health of human. Some activities such as the waterway accidents, the tanker or bilge discharges, and the acts of wanton vandalism are the main causes that pollute the ocean environment. The regulations of many countries such as the prevention of oil spill, reducing maximally the effects of the oil spill, and speeding up the oil spill degradation are to aim at treating and recovering fast, efficiently oil spills and oil slicks. The selection of suitable techniques for oil spill recovery and treatment depends on many factors such as the spilled oil volume, oil type, weather conditions (wind velocity), sea conditions (current velocity and wave height), cost and the fact situations of each country. In this paper, four methods used for oil spill recovery including physical-, chemical-, thermal-, and biodegradation method are introduced. The structure of mechanical devices including booms, skimmers and absorbent materials, the properties of chemicals such as dispersants and solidifies, the methods based on the thermal technologies, the major microorganisms for oil degradation for oil spill recovery, treatment and cleanup are analyzed. Each mentioned method also shows the advantages and disadvantages, as well as its applicability. The selection of suitable method for oil spill recovery purpose on the basis of the available equipment and techniques must be ensure that the collected oil spill volume is the largest, the period of time for recovery process is the shortest, aiming at minimizing the negative effects on the human, marine ecosystem, social economy.

        캐나다 Alberta 지역의 Oil Sands는 bitumen과 crude oil을 대량 포함하고 있어 석유자원의 한정성을 대체할 수 있는 천연자원으로써 최근 Shale Gas와 함께 관심이 높아지는 추세이다. Oil Sands의 개발을 위해서는 extraction과 purification을 포함한 SAGD(steam-assisted gravity drainage) process를 거쳐야 하는데 이 과정에서 많은 양의 오염물을 포함하고 있는 OSPW(oil sands process-affected water)가 대량 발생하게 된다. 이를 위하여 캐나다 및 Alberta 주정부에서는 현재 다각적인 수처리 공정을 시도 하고 있으며, 그 중 분리막을 활용한 연구 내용 및 결과에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

        최근 국제 유가의 상승으로 인한 선박 운용비를 절감하기 위하여 중소형 선박에서도 저질연료유의 사용이 검토되고 있는 추세이다. 이 연구에서는 현재 중소형 선박에서 연료유로 사용중인 경유와 중유MF380을 혼합하여 소형선박에 사용이 가능하도록 제조한 혼합연료유인 MF30 연료유에 대하여 그 물리 화학적 특성을 분석하고 정제처리 및 연료유첨가제 효과에 대해 알아보았다. 연구결과 두 가지 전처리 방식인 원심식청정기와 가열 및 균질 방식(M.C.H)의 효과는 다소 미약하였지만, 유동점과 인화점은 다소 낮아졌다. 연료유첨가제로 인한 개질 효과는 뚜렷이 나타나지 않았다.

This paper is mainly describing about the non-machine treated shaft-drive pump, based on the trial sample producing process.

        본 연구는 한외여과 중공사형 모듈과 역삼투 나권형 모듈로 구성된 모듈 set 1∼7을 이용하여 모듈 set에 따른 순수 및 2차 처리수의 투과 flux를 고찰하고, 적용압력과 온도변화에 의한 한외여과 막과 역삼투 막의 분리 특성을 고찰하였다. 탁도와 SS는 한외여과 막에서 효율적으로 제거되며 COD, T-N, TDS 등은 역삼투 막에서 우수한 제거효율을 나타내었다. 적용압력과 온도의 증가에 따른 투과 flux는 선형적으로 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 이로부터 한외여과 및 역삼투 막은 정유공장 방류수의 고도처리 및 재활용을 위해 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

        This paper is an experimental study to investigate utility of ultrasonic treatment of fuel oil in diesel engine. Experiment was carrid out to clarify the effect of ultrsonic vibration on the characteristics of maximum pressure, fuel consumption ratio, smoke, BMEP and torque. The result obtained are as follows: 1. In the case of given ultrsonic vibration, the maximum pressure is increased in all experimental conditions. 2. In the case of given ultrsonic vibration, the decrease effect of fuel consumption rate is increased at low rpm. 3. The generation quantity of soots is increased according to load. In the case of given ultrsonic vibration, the decreased quantity of soots does not very according to load. 4. In the case of given ultrsonic vibration, the BMEP and torque are increased at low load.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the mixed treatment of compost tea and amino acid liquid fertilizer as a substitute of oil cake for the organic cultivation of maize in Goesan, Chungbuk province. As a result, nitrogen, phosphoric acid, potassium, calcium and magnesium contents of each organic fertilizer were in the order of oil cake > amino acid fertilizer > compost tea. Each of these organic fertilizers had little influence on the change of soil chemical. Individual treatment of amino acid fertilizer and oil cake for weight of an ear as well as all individual treatments for the fresh weight of 100 kernels showed significant increase, compared to the untreated control. For the corn yield of merchantable quality, each treatment of compost tea, amino acid liquid fertilizer and oil cake increased higher 3.9, 5.4 and 5.9% than untreated control, respectively. On the other hand, as a result of mixed treatment of amino acid fertilizer and compost tea, the change of soil chemical property was insignificant. The mixed treatment, Nonetheless, showed significant increase for stem height to 1st ear, grain setting length in an ear, weight of an ear, and fresh weight of 100 kernels, compared to the oil cake as a control. After all, the corn yield of merchantable quality produced by the mixed treatment was 3.9% higher than the control. Therefore, our study would be considered that the mixed treatment of amino acid and compost tea is one of organic materials that can replace oil-cake in maize.

        Background: To obtain useful cosmetic resources, this study aimed to determine the non-saponin fatty acid and inhibitory activities of collagenase and elastase by treatment of Saccharomyces cerevisiae in supercritical fluid extracted oil of the adventitious root culture of wild mountain ginseng. Methods and Results: We performed supercritical fluid extraction at various conditions such as pressure, temperature, time, and use of co-solvents, unlike the n-hexane extraction for the adventitious roots culture of wild mountain ginseng. The non-saponin-fatty acid obtained from the oil of the adventitious roots culture was incresed by treatment with S. cerevisiae. The supercritical fluid extraction was conducted using gas chromatography. Non-saponin-fatty acid content, in the oil of adventitious roots culture of wild mountain ginseng treated with S. cerevisiae for 2 days were three times higher than that in the control. In addition, the oil of the adventitious roots culture treated with S. cerevisiae was investigated for the anti-wrinkle effect by using collagenase and elastase. The oil of adventitious roots culture treated with S. cerevisiae exhibited higher collagenase and elastase inhibitory activities than those in the control. Conclusions: Supercritical fluid extracted oil of the adventitious roots culture of wild mountain ginseng treated with S. cerevisiae was found to have decreased ratio of saturated fatty acids and incresed ratio and content of unsaturated fatty acids increased. Furthermore, it showed anti-wrinkle effects in vitro.

        물은 22.1 MPa의 압력하에 100℃ - 374℃의 온도범위에서 액체상태로 존재하며, 이를 아임계수라 한다. 아임계수 조건에서 물은 분자간 수소결합이 약해지면서 유전상수, 점성, 표면장력이 감소되어 유기용매와 유사한 특성을 지니게 된다. 원유오염토양은 전남 여수지역 공단 내에 있는 유류로 오염된 토양을 이용하였으며, 오염기간은 약 1년이며 저분자성 휘발유류성분 및 고분자성 유류로 오염되어 있었다. 초기 오염된 TPH농도는 16,895 mg/kg였다. 원유오염토양은 고분자성 물질이 다량 함유되어 있어 기존정화방법으로는 처리하기 어려운 점이 있다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 상기 아임계수 특성을 이용하여 원유로 오염된 토양으로부터 오염물질을 추출하는 연구를 수행하였다. 이와 함께 친유성 용매인 등유를 이용하여 토양으로부터 원유 일부를 탈착(전처리)시킨 후, 아임계수로 토양 내에 잔류되어 있는 유류성분을 제거하는 실험도 수행하였다. 이를 통해 아임계수 추출만을 적용하였을 경우와 등유 전처리가 추가된 경우의 제거율과 정화공정상 효율을 비교하였다. 아임계수 추출 시 275℃에서 2시간 추출을 5회 반복 진행하였을 때, 토양 내의 잔류 유류 농도가 498 mg/kg(제거율 97%)로 나타났다. 등유 전처리(토양 : 등유=1 : 0.5 wt%)후 아임계수 적용시 250℃에서 1시간동안 추출 시, 토양 내 잔류 유류 농도는 223 mg/kg로 나타났다. 적용된 두가지 공정 모두 토양1지역 우려기준(500mg/kg)이하로 정화되었으나, 상대적으로 등유전처리가 포함된 공정이 아임계수 기술만을 적용하여 추출을 진행한 것보다 상대적으로 높은 제거율을 보였다. 또한 등유 전처리가 추가된 아임계 공정이 추출시간, 공정수, 투입에너지(가열)에 있어 경제적으로 판단되며, 따라서 원유 오염토양의 아임계수 정화공정에서는 등유전처리 도입이 효과적인 것으로 판단된다.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of essential oil on wound healing rate, an epithelial attachment and collagen density in wound induced rat. This study was a 2×3 factorial design. Factors were treatment period (4 day and 8 day) and treatment type [saline (0.9% NaCl), tyrothricin, mixture of tea-tree, rosemary and melissa oil]. The samples were 24 rats with wound and randomly assigned to six groups of four rats per group. The dependent variables such as a wound healing rate, an epithelial attachment and a collagen density were measured. Dependent variables were statistically significant difference by the two treatment periods and the three treatment types (p<.001). There were not statistically significant interactions between treatment periods and treatment type in all dependent variables (p>.05). These findings will be provide bases to develope effective interventions for patients who have wound to manage their wound.

        The dechlorination processes and efficiencies of PCBs contained in transformer dielectric oils were investigated on three commercial-treatment companies. Alkaline dispersion method was used for dechlorination of PCBs mainly using molten metallic sodium or potasium hydroxide with PEG, and its dechlorination efficiency to whole congeners of PCBs was 98.94% on average. Homologues of highly-chlorinated biphenyls showed better efficiencies than those of less chlorinated ones, especially mono-chlorinated biphenyl in para-position (#2) was about 37 times enriched after chemical treatment. Co-planar PCBs' dechlorination efficiency was averaged as high as 99.78%, but 3,3',4,4'-TeCB was relatively low as 96.5%. It was suggested for better dechlorination efficiency to remove the water in transformer oil prior to chemical reaction and to stir the reagents more rapidly when using alkaline dispersion method.

        The objectives of this study are to examine the processing of oils contamination soil by means of using a micronano-bubble soil washing system, to investigate the various factors such as washing periods, the amount of micro-nano bubbles generated depending on the quantity of acid injection and quantity of air injection, to examine the features involved in the elimination of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs) contained in the soil, and thus to evaluate the possibility of practical application on the field for the economic feasibility. The oils contaminated soil used in this study was collected from the 0~15 cm surface layer of an automobile junkyard located in U City. The collected soil was air-dried for 24 hours, and then the large particles and other substances contained in the soil were eliminated and filtered through sieve No.10 (2 mm) to secure consistency in the samples. The TPH concentration of the contaminated soil was found to be 4,914~5,998 mg/kg. The micronano-bubble soil washing system consists of the reactor, the flow equalization tank, the micronano- bubble generator, the pump and the strainer, and was manufactured with stainless material for withstanding acidic phase. When the injected air flow rate was fixed at 2 L/min, for each hydrogen peroxide concentrations (5, 10, 15%) the removal percents for TPH within the contaminated soil with retention times of 30 minutes were respectively identified as 4,931 mg/kg (18.9%), 4,678 mg/kg (18.9%) and, 4,513 mg/kg (17.7%). And when the injected air flow rate was fixed at 2 L/min, for each hydrogen peroxide concentrations (5, 10, 15%) the removal percents for TPH within the contaminated soil with retention times of 120 minutes were respectively identified as4,256 mg/kg (22.3%), 4,621 mg/kg (19.7%) and 4,268 mg/kg (25.9%).
