        This paper presents data capturing Korean university students’ familiarity with English online acronyms, examines factors that may predict this familiarity, and presents an explicit instruction intervention involving vocabulary knowledge of online acronyms. The Vocabulary Size Test (VST) measured stude nts’ vocabulary size, while a self-report survey measured social media engagement and the percentage of engagement that occurred in English. The Vocabulary Knowledge Scale (VKS) measured initial familiarity and gains in vocabulary knowledge. The results suggest that English learners in Korean universities are not well-acquainted with English online acronyms, but that receptive vocabulary size and English-language social media engagement may offer some predictive power regarding their level of familiarity. An explicit treatment of acronym expansions and their uses resulted in a significant and robust gain in vocabulary knowledge, suggesting that explicit instruction of online acronyms may improve digital literacy and comprehension of computer-mediated communication (CMC) more effectively than simply relying on incidental gains through repeat exposures over time.

        This study addresses the scarcity of research examining technology’s impact on learners of English as a foreign language in English for specific purposes (ESP) courses within English-medium instruction (EMI) programs. Focusing on a business communication course using a social question-answering platform, this study explores the interplay among English proficiency, motivational orientations, and online engagement. Surveying 126 university students via a mixed-method approach, this research identifies distinct motivational orientations (intrinsic, extrinsic, and self-efficacy) existing during class activities, influenced by proficiency levels, with notable differences in online participation between beginner and advanced learners. The findings suggest that while online activities enhance peer interaction and teacher feedback, they may trigger anxiety in beginners, potentially diminishing motivation and self-efficacy. These results emphasize the need to tailor technology integration to proficiency levels and motivational orientations in ESP/EMI settings. Practical recommendations are offered for educators aiming to implement effective online activities and provide targeted support, particularly for beginner learners, thereby bolstering their motivation and selfefficacy.

        In the post-COVID-19, the food industry is rapidly reshaping its market structure toward online distribution. Rapid delivery system driven by large distribution platforms has ushered in an era of online distribution of fresh seafood that was previously limited. This study surveyed 1,000 consumers nationwide to determine their online seafood purchasing behaviors. The research methodology used factor analysis of consumer lifestyle and Heckman’s ordered probit sample-selection model. The main results of the analysis are as follows. First, quality, freshness, selling price, product reviews from other buyers, and convenience are particularly important considerations when consumers purchase seafood from online shopping. Second, online retailers and the government must prepare measures to expand seafood consumption by considering household characteristics and consumer lifestyles. Third, it was analyzed that consumers trust the quality and safety of seafood distributed online platforms. It is not possible to provide purchase incentives to consumers who consider value consumption important, so improvement measures are needed. The results of this study are expected to provide implications on consumer preferences to online platforms, seafood companies, and producers, and can be used to establish future marketing strategies.

        This study explores Korean EFL learner preferences and perceptions of digital composing (DC) with innovative online technology tools during the implementation of emergency remote learning measures. The research compares learner use of text-based DC and voice-based audio asynchronous online discussion (AOD). This paper investigates the following research problem: What digital modes of interactive, online instructional design can serve as appropriate, learner-accepted replacements for offline instruction? One prior finding indicated that Korean undergraduate EFL learners preferred text and audio DC to video modes. To follow up, this paper investigates 57 learners’ preferences and perceptions toward text-based and voice-based DC, and compares the results. The data analysis methods employ paired-samples Tests, and a thematic analysis to identify issues raised in student comments. The results reveal that learners’ levels of user satisfaction with voice-based audio AOD and their ratings of its perceived usefulness confirm that it can be a satisfactory, effective, and preferable task for engaging learners in digitally-mediated four-skills practice. Another finding is that utilizing a voice-based audio module did not significantly alter learners’ course satisfaction when superseding a text-based module. These findings inform pedagogical practice with empirical insights regarding learners’ use of digital technologies, levels of acceptance, and DC preferences.

        The current study is designed to investigate the use of deductive and inductive grammar teaching approaches in online instructional videos in a fully online asynchronous learning context across four different grammar lessons. More specifically, the study aimed to analyze two aspects about these two options for grammar instruction; their impacts on effectiveness in learning the grammar, and also the students’ perceptions of the two options in terms of interest, effectiveness, and difficulty. To address these research aims, this study employed a quasi-experimental approach where 82 participants were divided into two groups, and each group was taught via only deductive instruction or only inductive instruction. As for the results, regarding effectiveness, an ANCOVA test resulted in no differences when comparing across all four lessons combined. Furthermore, Mann-Whitney U tests indicated no difference in effectiveness for each individual grammar lesson. Regarding student perceptions, ANOVA tests indicated no difference in the students’ perceptions of interest, effectiveness, or difficulty.

        코로나19(COVID-19) 상황으로 감염예방과 관리지침에 따라, 정신간호학 실습을 대면으로 진행할 수가 없어, 긴급하게 온라인 실습으로 전환되었다. 이에 본 연구는 간호대학생의 정신간호학 현장실습 대체 온라인 실습에서 성찰일지를 내용분석하여 온라인 실습 교육과정의 질적인 향상을 위한 기초 자료로 활용 하고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 2021년 정신간호학 온라인 실습에 참여한 간호대학 3학년 학생 31명의 성찰일지를 분석대상으로 하였다. 참여자의 실습이 종료된 2022년 4월 4일부터 5월 31일까지 자료 수집하 였고, 크리펜도르프(Krippendorff, 2019)의 내용분석에 따라 분석하였다. 정신간호학 온라인 실습 성찰일지 를 내용분석한 결과, ‘자기인식의 중요성을 확인함’, ‘정신건강의 가치를 알게 됨’, ‘정신질환자의 회복에 대해 생각함’, ‘치료적 의사소통 향상에 노력함’, ‘정신질환자에 대한 편견이 감소됨’, ‘온라인 실습에 대한 양가감정이 듦’의 6개의 범주로 도출되었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 정신간호학 온라인 실습에서의 간호대 학생의 성찰의 의미를 파악할 수 있었고, 이러한 성찰일지를 대면 실습 혹은 정신건강전문가 양성과정에도 활용하여 연구하기를 제안한다.

        본 연구는 온라인 절화 도매 플랫폼에 대한 이용자 인식, 이용 현황을 알아보고, 본 플랫폼의 발전 방향을 제시하기 위 하여 국내 화훼 장식 종사자 300명을 대상으로 조사 연구하 였다. 연구 결과 화훼 장식 종사자의 99%가 온라인 절화 도매 플랫폼에 대해 인지하고 있었으며, 실제 이용 경험 역시 68% 로 높게 나타났다. 이용자들의 서비스 이용 기간은 1~2년이 46.5%로 가장 많았으며 월평균 구매 횟수는 6~15회가 과반 을 차지하였고, 온라인 절화 도매 플랫폼의 1회 기준 소비 금 액은 15만 원 미만이 62.4%로 나타났으나, 오프라인 절화 도 매시장의 사용 빈도 및 소비 금액이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다 (p<0.001). 화훼 장식 종사자들은 절화의 품질(4.85) 및 상품 의 다양성(4.75)이 절화 구매 시 가장 중요한 고려 요인이었 으며, 온라인 절화 도매 플랫폼에서의 상품 구매 시 과거 구매 경험(3.97)과 상품의 사진(3.87)을 보고 절화 품질을 판단하 는 경우가 가장 많았다. 온라인 절화 도매 플랫폼의 가장 큰 장점으로는 시간을 절약(4.39)할 수 있다는 점으로 인식하고 있었으나, 상품 구매 시 불안 요인으로는 절화 신선도(4.30)와 품질(4.02)에 대한 우려가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 온라인 절화 도매 플랫폼에서 제공하는 서비스 품질에 대해 이용자들은 주 문한 상품과 배송 상품이 일치(4.19)하며, 사용하기 쉬운 페이 지로 구성(4.03)되어 있어 구매 과정(4.00)이 편리하다고 응 답하였으나, 상품 품질에 대한 만족도는 모두 보통 이하로 낮 게 나타났다. 온라인 절화 도매 플랫폼과 오프라인 절화 도매 시장에서의 절화 구매 후 만족도를 비교한 결과 온라인 절화 도매 플랫폼에서는 가격과 반품 처리에 있어 오프라인에 비해 강점을 가지고 있었으나, 가장 중요한 절화 구매 결정 요인인 절화 신선도와 상품 다양성에 있어서 오프라인 절화 도매시장 에 비해 부족함을 보였다. 결론적으로 온라인 절화 도매 플랫 폼의 발전을 위해서는 절화 상품 품질 향상 및 다양성 확보가 필요하며 국내 화훼산업의 지속적인 발전과 성장을 위하여 새 로운 화훼 시장 형태에 대한 다양한 추가 연구가 필요할 것으 로 판단된다.

        An “online respiratory infectious disease nursing simulation course” was developed to strengthen the nursing competency in respiratory infectious disease. Methods: In this methodological study, an “online respiratory infectious disease nursing simulation course” was developed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model and evaluated using a one-group pre-post quasi-experimental design to ascertain the respiratory infectious disease knowledge, performance confidence, and clinical performance of 37 nursing students. Results: The online course comprised 17 sessions categorized as follows: seven theory, five at-home laboratory training, two case study, and three simulation sessions. All the nursing students engaged in the course successfully fulfilled its requirements by attending all 17 sessions and passing the clinical performance examination. The knowledge, confidence, and clinical performance (t=-6.60, -10.62, and –6.36, respectively; p<.001 for all) pertaining to respiratory infectious disease significantly increased among participants after the concluding simulation session, compared with their pre-scores obtained prior to the course participation. Conclusion: The “online respiratory infectious disease nursing simulation course” significantly improved the nursing knowledge, performance confidence, and clinical performance ability of nursing students in managing respiratory infectious diseases.

        This study investigated species identification and labeling compliance of 48 shrimp products sold in the Korean online markets. Species identification was conducted using the standard DNA barcoding method, using the cytochrome c oxidase subunit I gene. The obtained sequences were compared with those deposited in the NCBI GenBank and BOLD Systems databases. Additionally, phylogenetic analysis was performed to further verify the identified shrimp species. Consequently, 16 shrimp species were identified, including Penaeus vannamei, Pandalus borealis, Palaemon gravieri, Leptochela gracilis, Penaeus monodon, Pleoticus muelleri, Metapenaeopsis dalei, Euphausia pacifica, Lebbeus groenlandicus, Trachypenaeus curvirostris, Argis lar, Metanephrops thomsoni, Metapenaeopsis barbata, Alpheus japonicus, Penaeus chinensis, and Mierspenaeopsis hardwickii. The most prevalent species was Penaeus vannamei, found in 45.8% of the analyzed products. A significant mislabeling rate of 72.9% was found; however, upon excluding generic names such as shrimp, the mislabeling rate reduced to 10.4%. The mislabeling rate was higher in highly-processed products (89.3%) compared with that in minimally-processed products (50%). No correlation was found between the country of origin and mislabeling rate. The results of this study provide crucial data for future monitoring of shrimp products and improving the labeling of shrimp species in Korea.

        This study aims to analyze the variations in online clothing purchasing patterns based on demographic attributes and purchasing behavior. The survey subjects comprised individuals in their 10s to 50s who had prior experience with online shopping. The survey was conducted in Gyungnam from May to June 2022. A total of 397 questionnaires were analyzed using the χ2-test statistical method. The analysis of clothing purchase type based on demographic characteristics revealed differences in terms of gender, marital status, age, monthly income, and occupation. Notably, when analyzed by demographic characteristics and clothing purchase types, monthly online purchase frequency displayed significant differences in marital status, age, and occupation. Similarly, monthly purchase amounts through online platforms exhibited significant variations based on marital status, age, monthly income, and occupation. The online fashion platforms, when examined in relation to demographic characteristics and purchase types, showed significant differences across all variables. Clothing purchases by consumers seeking individuality and differentiation exhibited significant differences in age, occupation, and purchase types. Furthermore, the reasons for choosing online platforms for clothing purchases varied significantly based on age and occupation. These findings indicate diverse purchasing behaviors on online platforms influenced by demographic characteristics. These findings can be valuable for effectively segmenting the online fashion market.

        본 연구는 청소년의 온라인 활용에서 부모의 적극적 중재, 디지털 리터러시, 온라인 기회, 그리고 자기조절 등에 미치는 영향을 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 연 구 목적을 달성하기 위해 중·고등학생을 대상으로 2022년 2월 26일부터 3월 12 일까지 2주 동안 인스타그램을 통한 온라인 설문조사를 활용하여 수집하였으며, 응답한 469부의 데이터를 이용하여 실증분석을 실시하였다. 분석을 위해서 SPSS와 Smart PLS 프로그램을 활용하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 부모의 적극적 중 재는 디지털 리터러시, 온라인 기회, 자기조절에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 디지털 리터러시는 온라인 기회, 자기조절을 높이는 것으로 나타 났으며, 자기조절은 온라인 기회를 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 부모의 적극적 중재와 온라인 기회의 관계에서 디지털 리터러시, 자기조절의 경로가 매 개 효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 연구의 시사점은 부모 중재와 온라인 기회 관계에 있어 디지털 리터러시와 청소년의 자기조절 능력이 영향을 미치는지를 살 펴본 것이다.

        인터넷 시대를 맞아 온라인 콘텐츠 플랫폼은 텔레비전 미디어 시대의 송년 매체 의식을 변화시켰고, 기수 매체의 변화 중의 의식 활동을 분석 하여 새로운 환경을 제공하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 온라인 콘텐츠 플랫폼에서 개최하는 송년회를 분석 대상으로 선정하여 온라인 커뮤니티 의 의식 활동을 연구하였다. 이론적인 측면으로 본 연구는 매체 의식의 이론적 관점에서 참여형 문화 이론과 결합하여 커뮤니티의 매체 의식 실 천을 분석하고, 참여형 매체 의식을 사용하여 온라인 콘텐츠 플랫폼에서 커뮤니티의 역할에 응한다. 본 연구는 콘텐츠의 협력 공동창작 및 커뮤 니티 사용자 참여 등 두 가지 관점에서 온라인 커뮤니티의 송년 행사와 다른 미디어 플랫폼이 창출하고 주도하는 송년 행사의 차이점을 분석한 다. 본 연구의 핵심 목적은 온라인 콘텐츠 플랫폼의 송년 활동의 혁신을 분석하고, 온라인 커뮤니티가 매체 의식 활동을 만들고 기획하는 방법을 더 잘 이해하고, 대중문화와 커뮤니티 사용자가 콘텐츠 공동창출을 통해 커뮤니티의 단결을 만들고 커뮤니티의 응집 효과를 강화하며 상호 작용 에 참여하여 의식 상호 작용을 촉진할 수 있는 아이디어를 제공하는 것 이다. 본 연구에서는 콘텐츠 창작 과정에서 온라인 콘텐츠 플랫폼에서 커뮤니티 네트워크의 주도적 위치를 지적했다. 따라서 콘텐츠 서사 단계 에서는 시청자에게 주의를 기울이고 매체 전반에 걸쳐 참여감을 부여하 고 플랫폼은 미디어 의식의 장이자 중개자가 된다.

        This study conducted a big data analysis targeting the concept of "Ruralism," which is important in rural development, and the keywords "Rurality" and "Rural-amenity," which are similarly used. Keyword frequency analysis, key keyword analysis, network analysis, and emotional analysis were conducted by applying text mining techniques, which are methods of analyzing unstructured data online, to present basic data on the establishment of the concept of Ruralism for rural space maintenance. As a result of the study, conservation for Ruralism was the most important in the case of keyword frequency analysis, and differences between the Rurality and Rural-amenity keywords, which were used similarly to Ruralism, were identified through major keywords, indicating that Ruralism is a concept that has a more comprehensive range of rural areas than other concepts. In the case of the network, the network shown in Ruralism was prominent in improving the quality of life of invisible residents, and the last emotional analysis showed that it was necessary to prepare standards to overcome the possibility of preserving Ruralism and difficult policy directions. This study is meaningful in that it identifies online perceptions and looks at them from a macro perspective so as not to be confused by looking at keywords used similarly to Ruralism at a time when setting mid- to long-term policy directions is important.

        The online shopping market is expanding, with online shopping malls now subdivided into personal computer(PC) and mobile versions. Meanwhile, various efforts to promote online sales are being carried out in a bid to improve performance, and detailed research is required to inform such strategies. The purpose of this study was to classify online shopping mall types into PC fashion malls and mobile fashion malls with the aim of assessing sales promotion satisfaction and investigating the relationship between sales promotion satisfaction and consumers’ behavioral intentions. Data were collected by a survey firm in June 2023, and 248 copies of the data were used for analysis. SPSS 28.0 was used to process the data, and frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis were performed. The satisfaction factors for various sales promotions used by PC and mobile fashion shopping malls were empirically subdivided in consideration of consumer perspectives, and potentially effective marketing strategies were presented. Differences were observed in the type of satisfaction with sales promotion between PC fashion shopping malls and mobile fashion shopping malls and in the effect of sales promotion satisfaction on behavioral intention. Based on the study’s findings, effective sales promotion strategies that can increase satisfaction and enhance behavioral intention may be developed and implemented through the use of various and different sales promotion strategies in PC and mobile fashion shopping malls.

        Kimchi, a centuries-old Korean fermented food, has gained global popularity due to increased interest in Korean cuisine. However, little is known about the actual status of kimchi information provided by major foreign online encyclopedias. In this study, we analyzed the content and quality of kimchi information in major foreign online encyclopedias, such as Baidu Baike, Encyclopædia Britannica, Citizendium, and Wikipedia. Our results revealed that the kimchi information provided by these encyclopedias was often inaccurate or inadequate, despite kimchi being a fundamental part of Korean cuisine. The most common inaccuracies were related to the definition and origins of kimchi and its ingredients and preparation methods. Our findings highlight the need for more accurate and reliable information about kimchi in major foreign online encyclopedias. This is particularly important in the context of promoting Korean food culture and increasing international awareness of kimchi. To achieve this, the collaborative efforts of Korean food experts and online encyclopedias are needed to ensure the accurate representation of kimchi in these resources. In conclusion, our study shows that foreign online encyclopedias often contain incomplete, inaccurate information about kimchi. This shortcoming must be addressed to promote a more accurate and comprehensive understanding of kimchi and Korean cuisine.

        K-ATLAS는 전자책 형태로 국가지도를 제공하는 기존의 방식에서 벗어나 IT 기술을 활용하여 인터랙티브 기능을 추가하고, 궁극적으로 국가지도와 사용자 간의 상호작용을 강화한 새로운 형태의 보완적 국가지도집으로 잠정 정의하였다. 이에 발간된 지 15년이 지난 국가지도집의 이용실태를 조사하여 개선사항을 파악하였다. K-ATLAS는 국가지도집의 역사적 의의를 살리면서 사용 자 상호작용을 염두에 두고, 자주 갱신하여 전 세계 국가지도집의 표준을 제시하는 것으로 그 방향을 잡았다. 사용자 인터페이스와 경험에 대한 최근 동향을 벤치마킹하고 해외 국가지도집의 선진 사례를 조사하고, 약 10개의 UI/UX 유형을 분류하여, 현재 국가지도 집의 내용을 지도 기반의 UI/UX 적용 사례를 제시하였으며, 토론을 통해 K-ATLAS와 관련된 문제점과 해결 방안을 제안하였다.

        In recent years, the marketing literature has given considerable attention to the concept of online consumer misbehaviour. However, this increased interest has resulted in a significant accumulation of knowledge, leading to fragmentation and confusion in the field. This situation has serious implications for both researchers and practitioners, as it impedes the development of a coherent and unified understanding of the field. To address this issue, this paper presents a systematic review aimed at consolidating and organizing the available research on online consumer misbehaviour. The paper provides a conceptualization and operationalization of the concept of OCM. Additionally, the paper identifies and discusses the existing theories used in the field of OCM research.
