Communication facilities play an essential role in disaster situations. Therefore, communication facilities need to have structural and functional safety during and after earthquakes. Recently, technology for partial seismic isolation has been increasing to protect data facilities and communication equipment installed in buildings from earthquakes. However, excessive displacement may occur in the seismic isolator during an earthquake due to the resonance between the building and the seismic isolator having long-period characteristics, which may cause overturning and separation of the installed equipment. In this study, analytical and experimental studies were conducted to evaluate the safety of seismic isolators installed in high-rise buildings. It was confirmed that damages might occur in buildings' seismic isolator, with resonance characteristics of less than 1 Hz.
본 연구에서는 우리나라 대형통신기업을 대상으로 2000년에서 2019년까지의 경영효율성을 측정하고 비교하였다. 그리고 도출된 경영효율성지수와 경기변동간의 상관관계에 대하여 실증분석을 하였다. 발견 된 사실들을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 1)우리나라 대형통신기업은 지난 20년간에 걸쳐 경영효율성수준이 하락하는 경향을 보여주었다. 2)통신 3사 중에서 SK텔레콤이 가장 높은 경영효율성을 보여주고 있고 KT 가 가장 낮은 효율성을 보여주고 있다. LG유플러스는 중간수준의 경영효율성을 보여주었다. 3)우리나라 통신3사는 규모의 수익 면에서 수익감소적인 경향을 보여주고 있으며 2010년 이후로 이러한 경향은 더욱 뚜렷해지고 있다. 4)통신3사의 경영효율성과 경기변동과의 상관관계에서는 매출역모형에서는 순경기순 환적으로 나타나고 있으나 부가가치모형에서는 역경기순환적으로 나타나고 있다. 5)통신기술의 도입과 통신시장 세계화에 대비하여 대형통신기업들의 경영효율성을 높일 수 있는 정책대안을 시급하게 강구해야할 것으로 생각된다.
Most demand forecasting studies for telecommunication services have focused on estimating market size at the introductory stage of new products or services, or on suggesting improvement methods of forecasting models. Although such studies forecast business growth and market sizes through demand forecasting for new technologies and overall demands in markets, they have not suggested more specific information like relative market share, customers’ preferences on technologies or service, and potential sales power. This study focuses on the telecommunication service industry and explores ways to calculate the relative market shares between competitors, considering competitive situations at the introductory stage of a new mobile telecommunication service provider. To reflect the competitive characteristics of the telecommunication markets, suggested is an extended conjoint analysis using service coverage and service switching rates as modification variables. This study is considered to be able to provide strategic implications to businesses offering existing service and ones planning to launch new services. The result of analysis shows that the new service provider has the greatest market share at the competitive situation where the new service covers the whole country, offers about 50% of existing service price, and allows all cellphones except a few while the existing service carrier maintains its price and service and has no response to the new service introduction. This means that the market share of the new service provider soars when it is highly competitive with fast network speed and low price.
Celebrity endorsement is defined as an agreement between a publicly recognized celebrity and an entity to use the celebrity’s fame to promote a brand or product. Generally, a celebrity is defined as a famous singer, actor, or athlete who frequently appears in public. The celebrity uses his/her public recognition to persuade consumers to purchase a specific product by the endorsement, and the celebrity accepts remunerations from the firm. Celebrity endorsement has been prevalent as an advertising strategy and many advertisers invest enormous amount of money for the celebrity endorsement. Prior research has examined the economic benefits or effectiveness of celebrity endorsement and found that celebrity endorsement attracts attention from consumers and polishes a tarnished brand image, and the celebrity may help advertisements stand out, thus improving their communicative ability. Apart from a general celebrity endorsement advantage, previous studies have found the factors that affect the success or failure of celebrity endorsement. An attractive celebrity can positively influence advertising evaluation, and a celebrity with expertise can increase consumers’ purchase intention through product. In addition, consumers prefer a product endorsed by a highly trustworthy celebrity. Specifically, on the economic worth of celebrity endorsement, most studies have indicated a positive effect. An announcement of a celebrity endorsement contract can bring a positive abnormal benefit to a firm’s stock price. Celebrity endorsement also helps increase the intangible value of a firm, which is the source of competitive edge and sustainable growth. However, despite recent interest in the return on advertising investment, it is not known how and which source factor of the celebrity endorsement can be explained with the firm value. By using text mining and sentiment analysis, the results of this study explain that the sustainable firm value is impacted by various sources of celebrity endorsement. First, the number of words regarding celebrity attractiveness, expertise, and trustworthiness has an impact on the sustainable firm value. Among the three sources, trustworthiness has the biggest impact on the sustainable firm value, which is Tobin’s Q. Second, regarding attractiveness and expertise, increasing proportion of positive words has impact on the firm value. On the other hand, regarding trustworthiness, the number of negative words on occupational issues is important. Third, different celebrity expertise has different impact on the sustainable firm value depending on the degree of job uniqueness and replaceability. Fourth, once the celebrity has lost his/her trustworthiness, the negative impact is hardly recovered as the negative interaction effect between positive impact of celebrity expertise on the sustainable firm value and the loss of trustworthiness is over seven times higher than the positive effects from the expertise. This implies that if an advertiser carefully manages other effects except for the loss of trustworthiness, he/she cannot offset the failure.
Improving efficiency of the telecommunication is crucial to the development and growth of Korean economy. Recently, it has become important with the huge development of information technology and its greater potential for extensive impact on the rest of the economy. Hence, it is useful to determine the factors that help enhance efficiency in telecommunication and consider them in improving the evaluation model. This study applies DEA (data envelopment analysis) to evaluate the relative efficiency of 51 branches of a Korean telecommunication company. Using the super-efficiency approach, we tested outliers which may affect the results and ranked the efficient branches. A method of deriving key variables applied to business operation is proposed to identify the key performance indicators for evaluation that takes environmental (non-discretionary) factors into account. We used the extended CCR model proposed by Banker and Morey to investigate the influence of non-discretionary factor. The information provided by the model (slacks, weights) and the sensitivity analysis shows that the most important indicator that affects the branch performance is operating cost. The results of sensitivity analysis show that average efficient score decreases from 0.972 (base case) to 0.863 for CASE2-COST. The average score of the data proves the priority of operating cost over other indicators. The effect of environmental (non-discretionary) variable was found to be significant. The population effect was positive and improved overall efficiency by 0.91% on average. Non-discretionary factor plays a meaningful role explaining the performance of branches. The performance optimization report can help a manager of an inefficient branch to develop branch strategies. Managers can identify the top-performing units, study best practices and adopt the strategy to the organization.
이 연구는 스마트폰 사용이 많아지고 스마트폰 중독이라는 말이 생겨날 정도로 학생들이 스마트폰에 빠지는 것을 지켜보면서 모바일 역기능을 해소하기 위하여 학생들에게 알려주는 프로그램을 개발하려고 하였다. 다양한 모바일 기기를 통해 시간과 장소의 제한 없이 원하는 사람과 소통하고 각종 매체로부터 다양한 미디어 정보에 쉽게 접근할 수 있어 편리하기는 하지만 이에 따른 역기능 또한 함께 대두되고 있다. 우리 아이들은 스마트폰으로 원하는 정보에 쉽게 접근할 수 있고, 카카오톡과 같은 채팅 애플리케이션이 무분별하게 쏟아지면서 이들을 이용한 사이버 연애 및 성범죄의 온상이 되고 있으며 스마트폰이 가지는 매력 때문에 아이들이 매료되어 중독이라 할 정도로 스마트폰을 과다하게 사용하고 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 현재 아이들이 모바일기기로 인하여 기존에 경험하지 못한 부작용을 예방하고 새로운 정보통신 윤리관의 정립 및 교육적인 측면에서 모바일 역기능 해소 프로그램 개발을 통한 학습자 정보통신 윤리의식 소양 지도를 모색하게 되었다.
It is very important to select the best employees who are suitable for their jobs and duties as considering the efficiency and productivity of the firms’ performance. As a result, many kinds of selection methodologies and systems have been developed. Among them is the selection system based on the core competencies which is known as the superior selection systems that can increase the predictive validity who is the right people, compared to the traditional selection system based on the job analysis. Hence, the former has been focused in the complex business situation in recent years.
In this case study, we examine the selection system case based on the core competencies of OSS team in Company A, which is one of the largest telecommunication firms and we suggest the implications.
According to the results of this case study, defining the core competencies of the job and selecting the right people who had the related competencies not only decreased the turnover rate of OSS team in Company A, but also increased the employees’ loyalty and satisfaction for the organizations.
This study will be a benchmark to other departments that don’t use competency selection system of Company A as well as the firms that want to adapt the selection system based on the core competencies. Also, this case study has a contribution that shows us an alternative model how can the firms identify and select the best right employees.
This paper presents that hybrid cooler of vapor compression type and natural refrigerant circulation type is energy saving cooler using R-410a for indoor mobile telecommunication station. Its performance and operation characterists are done experimently about receiver tank, piping and heat exchanger designs for natural circulation of refrigeration and use of R-410a for fixed height location difference of indoor and outdoor cooler.
본 논문에서는 해상에서 사용 가능한 이중대역 무선랜 안테나를 설계하였다. 탄젠트 손실이 없는 FR-4기판을 사용하였으며, 유전율은 4.4, 32mm*28mm*1.6mm의 크기를 갖는다. 입력대비반사손실이 2.4GHz와 5.8GHz대역에서 -10dB이하로 동작하며 간단한 구성으로 50옴 마 이크로스트립라인에 의해 급전하는 안테나를 설계하여 양호한 반사손실을 보임을 확인하였다.
The importance of perceived quality and brand loyalty is increasing recently both domestic and foreign. So many papers perform research on service quality and brand loyalty. Today, there is the rapid growth in the Korean mobile telecommunications service market. But mobile telecommunications service companies don't pay full attention to customers' attitude and brand loyalty. This paper shows why Korean mobile telecommunications service companies have to focus on Brand Loyalty. This paper investigates the relationship among perceived quality, attitude and brand loyalty in the area of mobile telecommunications service.
최근 국제적으로 지진 발생 규모가 증대하고 있는 가운데 우리나라에서도 자연대책법상 법적인 기준 내용이 강화되어 전기통신기본법에 따른 통신시설이 지난 2007년 1월 내진설계 대상 범주로 추가되었으며 이에 따라 세부 규격기준 내용 수립을 위한 연구가 추진되고 있다. 본 논문은 통신설비에 적용하여야 할 구체적 규격기준 내용의 수립 방안에 대하여 다룬 것이다. 이를 위하여 법률 고시에 따른 내진설계 대상 통신설비 부류를 소개하고 국내에 있어서 현재까지 연구되어 활용할 수 있는 기반 기술규격으로서의 건축법령상 건축구조설계기준의 설계 절차에 대하여 알아본다. 그리고 제외국 유수 규격 내용의 활용 도입 방안을 검토하였다. 이러한 기존 기술규격들을 바탕으로 실제로 법적 기준상에 도입하여야 할 통신설비 내진설계 적용 방안을 제시한다.

When selecting a telecommunication company, consumers conflict the difficulty In decision-making because there are many competitive and complementary factors of telecommunication companies. To select an optimal telecommunication company, consumers need to consider a number of different quantitative and qualitative factors such as fare, various services, additional function and so on. In this study, we use the analytic hierarchy process based method for selecting the telecommunication company considering various factors to help consumers' decision-making for their benefits.
As broadcasting and telecommunication are vigorously fused in network, terminals, services, business and markets, content industry's value chains (production, distribution, consumption) are changing. Especially, I tried to find out how changes in cultural content industry policies such as sharp increase in content demands according to multi-platforms took place in terms of laws, budgets, organization and support policies, and suggest cultural content industry policies based on experts' evaluation on support policies for the cultural industry. The results of this study are as follows. First, the government's supporting systems should be integrated by considering roles of policies, promotion, and regulations for the industrial development; Second, the cultural industry should be developed based on culture and art; Third, supporting efforts which used to be provided on genre should be selected and focused to stress industrialization based on infrastructure setup for the cultural industry; Fourth, by activating cultural content distribution, foundations for domestic consumption and exports should be built firmly; Fifth, leading projects should be developed which satisfy suppliers and users based on industrial policies; Finally, we should expect problems caused by fusing content policies of broadcasting and communication and make policies to guarantee profit models in the market, and keep providing policies which can boost markets as well as maintain development momentum.
In recent European telecommunication base transceiver stations(BTS), a membrane laminated air filter is reported to replace a heat exchanger in order to cool internal digital units of BTS. The concept of using the air filter is for the direct ambient cooling (DAC) of BTS without heat loss generally found in the heat exchanger type BTS. In the present study, a performance evaluation experiment was conducted to investigate the pressure drop characteristics with dust loading and the particle collection efficiency of the air filter for the DAC of BTS. Finally, the long term operation lifetime of the air filter for BTS was suggested with a given fan rotation speed.
情報通信技術의 발전은 우리들에게 많은 변화를 가져다 준다. 그 경제적인 측면만 보더라도, 새로운 기술은 기존시장의 경쟁구도를 바꾸어 놓거나 전혀 새로운 시장을 열어주기도 한다. 한편으로, 이와 같은 기술의 발전과 시장의 변화 내지 새로운 시장의 등장은 다양한 紛爭을 수반하기도 하고, 다른 한편으로 새로운 시장에서의 합리적이고 공정한 경쟁의 規範(norm) 내지 새로운 商道德(commercial morality)을 형성해가거나 요구하게 된다. 특히, 정보통신산업의 규제완화와 더불어 공정하고 자유로운 경쟁의 중요성이 커지게 되었다. 인터넷기술의 급속한 발전으로 인해서 전혀 새로운 시장이 형성되지만, 바람직하다고 판단된 行爲規範(norm)이나 商道德이 형성되지 아니한 경우에는 어떻게 분쟁을 예방하고 무엇을 기준으로 분쟁을 해결할 것인가? 이것이 이 논문의 출발점이고 주된 검토대상이 된다. 이 논문은 우선 現行法 가운데 公正競爭防止法, 獨占規制法, 民法등에서 不公正競爭行爲가 어떻게 취급되고 있고 그에 대한 救濟手段(remedies)은 무엇이 있는지 법규정의 解釋論과 判例를 중심으로 살펴본다. 인터넷 등의 정보통신기술의 발전에 따라서 새로이 등장하는 분쟁을 해결하는데 현행법이 만족스러운 해결을 해주지 못하고 있는 것으로 보인다. 특히 기술의 발전에 따라서 형성된 새로운 시장에서의 일정한 유형의 행위가 違法한 것인지 여부에 대해서 현행법이 전혀 아무런 기준도 제시해주지 못하거나 또는 위법하다고 판단되는 경우에도 적절하고 만족스러운 구제수단을 제공해주지 못하는 한계가 있다. 우리나라의 경제규모와 산업구조도 선진화되어서 이제는 소위‘시장의 보이지 않는 손’의 힘을 신뢰하고 중시해야 할 필요가 있다. 따라서, 독점규제법과 부정경쟁방지법은 인터넷시대에 시장의 보이지 않는 손이 효율적으로 작동할 수 있도록 改正될 필요가 있다. 뿐만아니라 인터넷시대에 참여하는 기업들이 어떠한 行爲規範을 따라야 하는지에 대해서도 필요하다면 일정한 기준을 법률로 정할 필요가 있는데, 특히 인터넷住所窓을 둘러싼 분쟁의 현황을 총체적으로 검토해서 산업전체의 이익과 消費者厚生(consumer welfare)을 극대화할 수 있는 行爲規範과 標準을 法化할 필요가 있다.
This study examined the associations between job stress and psychosocial stress in telecommunication service workers. In this survey, four hundred seventy workers and six variables(general characteristics, state of health, job characteristics, personality, psychosocial characteristics, and job stress) were used to measure worker's subjective satisfaction and status of stress. The results of this study indicated that 135 workers(28%) were classified into a high risk group to stress, 317 workers(67%) were into a potential risk group, and only 18 workers(6%) were into a healthy group. Also the results indicated that job stress outcomes related to job characteristics, personality, and psychosocial characteristics.
In the past, radio astronomers have sought isolation from man-made signals by placing their telescopes in remote locations. These measures may no longer safeguard scientific observations, since NGSO satellite systems, particularly low-Earth orbit (LEO) systems, are usually designed to provide global or wide regional coverage. Further, radio astronomers have historically made their observations in the frequency bands allocated for their use by the member countries of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The science of radio astronomy could be adversely impacted by the deployment of large constellations of new non-geostationary orbiting (NGSO) satellites for telecommunications, navigation and Earth observation, and the proliferation of new, high-power broadcasting and telecommunication satellites in geostationary (GSO) orbits. Radio telescopes are extremely sensitive, and, in certain situations, signals from satellites can overwhelm the signals from astronomical sources. This paper describes the problem in detail and identifies ways to mitigate it without adversely affecting the continued vigorous growth of commercial space-based telecommunications.
