        This study examines the beliefs and practices regarding performance assessment among Korean English teachers in secondary schools. A survey was conducted with 109 teachers using a 52-item online questionnaire to investigate the extent to which teachers’ beliefs align with their instructional practices and to categorize them based on these criteria. Although teachers acknowledge the pedagogical advantages of performance assessment, a significant gap exists between their beliefs and actual implementation, primarily due to the considerable time required for its execution. Teachers with longer tenure and higher qualifications demonstrated a more positive and effective application of performance assessment. The findings highlight the necessity for targeted professional development to enhance teachers’ use of performance assessment strategies, especially for those who are skeptical about their effectiveness. Such initiatives are essential for bridging the gap between beliefs and practices, fostering an environment that promotes the effective use of performance assessment, and ultimately improving teaching quality and student learning outcomes in Korean English education.

        Price-setting research has mainly focused on normative processes. However, a conception of pricing practices in B2B-companies is missing. Information deficits lead pricing managers to deviate from normative processes. We complement and extent normative models by assessing pricing managers’ compensation behavior in cases of information deficits. We propose a typology of approaches to missing price-related information.

        미국 정부는 2011년 식품안전현대화법(FSMA, Food Safety Modernization Act)을 제정하였으며 단계적으로 실시 및 실시예정에 있다. 이중 농산물안전(Produce Safety) 최종규칙은 농산물 재배, 수확, 포장 및 보관과 관련된 생물학적 위해요소에 초점을 맞추고 있는데, 영농규모 등에 따라 2017년 1월부터 단계적으로 시행되고 있다. FSMA 의 농산물안전 규칙 중 현장에서 준수해야 하는 조항을 55개 선별하여 한국 GAP기준과 비교한 결과, 비교 대상 인 두 개의 기준이 조항별 관리사항에 대해 1:1로 단순비교하기에는 어려운 점이 있으나 상당수의 한국 GAP기준이 대응이 가능하다. 다만 한국 GAP기준은 포괄적 기준으로 평가자에 따라 다른 판단을 할 여지가 많으므로 기준의 세부 사항의 보강이 필요하다. 조항별로 보면, 작업자 안전위생(FSMA Subpart D)에 대하여 한국 GAP기준은 가장 높게 대응이 되며, 그 다음으로는 가축 및 야생 동물(FSMA Subpart I), 건물·장비·도구(FSMA Subpart L), 재배·수확 등의 활동(FSMA Subpart K) 순으로 대응이 되고 있다. 그러나, 농업용수 관리(FSMA Subpart E)와 관리자의 자격 및 교육(FSMA Subpart C)에 대해서는 다소 미 흡한 실정이며, 가축분뇨기반 퇴비 관리(FSMA Subpart F) 에 대해서는 대응이 취약한 편이다. FSMA 규칙은 인증 기준은 아니나, 세계적으로 식품안전의 표준을 선도하는 미국이 제시한 규칙인 만큼 파급력이 상당할 것으로 예상 된다. 따라서 국내 농산물 기준 중 FSMA 규칙에서 강조 하는 미생물적 안전성에 대응하는 기준이 GAP기준이므로 한국 GAP기준의 재검토를 통해 우리 농산물의 품질 향상 및 수출확대에 도움이 되기를 바란다.

        본 연구에서는 위해요소관리 중심의 사과 GAP 모델 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 경남에 소재한 GAP 미인증 사과농장 3곳을 선정하여 재배단계에서 화학적(중금속), 생물학적 위해요소(위생지표세균, 병원성 미생물, 곰팡이)를 분석하였다. 화학적 위해요소인 중금속은 재배환경 중 토양에서만 국내 허용치 이하 수준으 로 Cu, Pb, Zn 및 Ni이 검출되었다. 생물학적 위해요소의 경우 일반세균과 대장균군은 재배환경에서 각각 0.8~6.1과 0.0~5.0 log CFU/g(or mL), 사과와 잎에서 0.4~3.6과 0.0~3.5 log CFU/g(or leaf), 개인위생에 서 3.2~5.3과 0.4~2.7 log CFU/hand(or 100 cm2) 수준으로 검출되었고, 대장균은 모든 시료에서 검출되지 않았다. 병원성 미생물은 S. aureus가 작업자의 손에서 최대 4.4 log CFU/hand 수준으로 검출되었고, B. cereus는 사과를 제외한 모든 시료에서 0.0~5.2 log CFU/g(or leaf, mL, hand or 100 cm2) 범위로 검출되었 으며, L. monocytogenes, E. coli O157:H7 및 Salmonella spp.는 검출되지 않았다. 곰팡이는 모든 시료에서 0.0~4.9 log CFU/ g(or leaf, mL, hand or 100 cm2) 수준으로 검출되었다. 이상의 결과는 안전한 사과를 생 산하기 위한 위해요소관리 중심의 사과 GAP 모델 개발에 있어 재배환경 및 재배단계에서의 위해요소를 파악하 고 분석하는데 필요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        Consumers are very concerned about food safety as the risk with food increased. This study was conducted to evaluate the perceptions and practices of consumers on food safety in order to collect some information for the development of consumer education program. Total 500 consumers were asked to answer for survey constituted with 6 questions of generic information, 4 of food safety perceptions and 8 of food safety practices from June to July, 2006. More than half of respondents (51.8%) were unsatisfied with the food safety management of government while the individual practices on food safety were satisfactory. Especially, most respondents (98.7%) checked the expiration date of food when they purchased and 97% of respondents were washed hands before food preparation. The higher food safety perception, the better food safety practices of consumers. These results suggest that the systematic and continuous educations on food safety hazards and the principles of sanitation management are necessary for safe food handling and perception on food safety.

        To date almost no research has been reported on language teachers" assessment practices in university, with the belief that those practices are up to teachers" individual decision-making as part of instruction. The present study investigated the long-ignored English teachers" assessment practices (testing and grading) through university student perception indices, found in the questionnaire and interviews, by looking at how students feel about their teacher"s current assessment practices. The research findings revealed that students were concerned about their teachers" low quality of tests, absence of communication channels for checking test results and grades with teachers, and undemocratic testing ambience. Implications for future research and assessment were suggested to look for possibilities of bringing in critical language testing (CLT) to the university classroom.

        본 연구에서는 서울 소재 초등학교와 고등학교 급식의 위생관리 실태를 분석하므로 학교급식의 안전성을 확보하여 식중독 사고예방 및 급식품질 개선을 이루고자 하였다. 이를 위해 HACCP에 기준한 위생관리 평가도구를 설문지로 개발하여 관리자들이 자가 평가하게 하고,그 결과를 분석하여 위생관리 실태를 파악하고 취약한 부분을 규명하였다. 위생관리 평가도구는 온도 소요시간, 개인위생 및 기기 설비위생의 3영역으로 구분 하여 33문항, 5문항, 15문항씩 총 53문항으로 구성하였다. 평가문항에 대해서는 5점척도를 이용하여 표시하도록 하였다. 조사된 학교는 초등학교 98.4%(253개교), 고등학교 1.6%(19개교)였다. 세 영역중 개인위생에 관한 수행수준은 평균 4.06$\pm$0.57로 나타나 가장 잘 수행되는 것으로 조사되었다. 기기.설비위생의 수행수준은 평균 3.84$\pm$0.53로 나타났고, 온도.소요시간은 평균 3.45$\pm$0.46으로 나타나 보통정도의 수행수준으로 조사되었다. 특히 전체 문항중 수행수준이 가장 낮은 것으로 조사된 ‘조리 후 보관(2.03$\pm$0.94)’의 경우는 현행 학교급식업체들이 조리가 끝난 식품을 취급할 열장 또는 보온 기기, 냉장고를 거의 구비하지 못하고 있으며, 조리된 음식이나 차게 배식하는 음식의 적정 온도유지를 위한 온도계 사용이 전혀 이루어지지 않고 있기 때문인 것으로 사료 된다. 기기 설비위생영역에서 가장 낮은 수행정도를 보인 ‘싱크대의 용도별로 분리사용 여부(3.03$\pm$1.10)’와 ‘손 씻는 시설의 적절한 장소 위치 여부(3.07$\pm$1.13)’의 수행수준을 향상시키려면 적절한 개수의 싱크대를 구비해야 하며, 조리실내에 손 씻는 시설을 갖추어야 할 것이다. 결론적으로 학교급식 안전성 확보를 위한 위생관리 업무 향상을 위해서는 본 연구에서 가장 취약한 부분으로 드러난 시설 및 기기들을 우선 보완해야 할 것으로 사료된다.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the foodservice management practices in child-care centers in order to provide basic information for the development of a model of a centralized food service information center. This approach was achieved using a variety of qualitative and quantitative information including general foodservice management practices and plate waste. A self-completed questionnaire survey of 651 child-care centers in Korea was undertaken and detailed information was carefully collected at 6 representative child-care centers. The results of the empirical survey were as follows: 1. Child-care centers categorized by location were in large cities (59.9%), medium cities (27.6%) and in provincial areas (12.5). 2. Private sector of child-care centers was 46.4% of the total followed by National/public (44.2%) and licensed home day-care programs (9.4%). 3. Total average number of children in child-care centers was 63.3±43.1 with a very significant difference (p〈0.001) in types of child-care centers. 4. The average space of kitchen and dining room was 5.0±3.8 and 10.8±11.0 pyung (1pyung=3.3058 cm2). 5. The average cost of interim snack in morning and afternoon in child-care centers were 345.9±459.3 won and 359.3±226.6 won respectively. The average cost of lunch was 644.0±481.1 won. There was a significant difference (p〈0.001) by types of child-care centers with a highest cost of 863.9 won in licensed home day-care programs. 6. Only a limited number of dietitian were employed, therefore most of food service management practice was not conducted by professional personnel. 7. The result of nutritional analysis of the food revealed that the level of energy and nutrients contained in the food was below the recommeded level (RDA/3).

        This study was conducted to evaluate the industry foodservice management practices in Pusan Kyeung Nam provinces and to suggest the guideline for the effective foodservice management. Questionnaire survey method were used in this study. Questionnaire were administered to 307 dietitians in Pusan Kyeung Nam. Data were analyzed for frequency, percentage, and χ2-test using SPSS-X Package. The results are as follows: 61.7% of industry foodservice establishment serviced foods over three times a day and 18.0% of them were less 500 won in the cost of food. 64.5% of the dietitian had less 3 years experiences, and they are not fully performed the effective management in nutrition education, job design and utilization of standardized recipes. Equipped facilities in surveyed foodservice operations were assessed as the insufficient condition, especially, efficient facilities such as a cutting machine were scarcely make up.

        34 packaged meal (Dosirak) manufacturing establishments were assessed in terms of working environment, production and transportation practices. Questionnaires and facility check-lists were developed. Most establishments were small in business, and production personnel as well as production facilities were insufficient compared with production capacity of establishments. Mean production capacity for packaged meals in terms of optimum and maximum levels were 6,500 and 15,166 meals in large sized establishments; 2,662 and 8,301 in medium; and 2,112, and 4,733 in small respectively. Those figures indicate potentially hazardous practices in production especially in small and medium sized establishments. Most meals were produced to order. Transportation facility and kitchen space were assessed as insufficient.

        The technology of direct-seeding in rice cultivation is an innovation mainly induced by factors in market economy and is rapidly diffused among individual farmhouses. Because the effect of technology can be affected by many factors under various farming circumstances, the impact and stability of the direct-seeding technology compared with transplanting was analyzed under various topographical regions. Yield in direct-seeding was higher in plains, although the farm size producing higher yield was quite different depending on the topographical regions. In the direct-seeding cultivation of rice, man-labor hours was reduced by about 38 percent and the reduction rate showed little difference among topographical regions. Fertilizer was used about 11 percent more but the increase rate varied from 3 to 17 percent depending on regions with higher rates in plains. Application of agricultural chemicals was also increased about 9 percent in direct-seeding, but the increase rate was as high as 12 percent in suburbs. More fertilizer and agricultural chemicals were used in direct-seeding cultivation by farmhouses implementing both direct-seeding and transplanting than by those implementing direct-seeding only. Use of more fertilizers and agricultural chemicals in direct-seeding in all regions may indicate its technical instability. Major problems causing the technical instability of direct-seeding cultivation should be solved by comprehensive research considering various farming circumstances such as topographical features rather than just a top-down style research and extension.
