본 연구에서는 용매로 침액되었을 시 전반적으로 더 균일한 상전이법 기반 평막 제조 시 주로 사용되는 부직포 지지체의 영향을 분석하였다. 도프용액의 점도가 낮을 경우 용액이 부직포층으로 쉽게 침투하여 불균일한 막이 형성되는 것 을 확인하였으며, 이를 방지하기 위해 부직포층을 유기용매로 침액하는 기법을 도입하였다. 부직포층이 유기 분리막이 생성 되는 것을 확인하였으며, 수투과 및 용매투과율도 향상하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 부직포 침액의 영향은 낮은 점도에서 확연하 게 나타났으며, 고분자용액의 점도가 높은 경우 침액 여부에 관계없이 동일한 성능을 얻을 수 있었다.
기체분리막을 이용한 바이오가스 및 천연가스 등의 CH4 고질화 공정은 타 공정에 비해 경제적이라는 장점이 있지만 필수적으로 CH4 손실이 발생하는 단점이 있다. 이는 CO2에 의한 가소화현상으로 CH4의 투과도가 증가하기 때문이다. 이러한 현상을 개선하고자 CO2 가소화에 대한 영향이 적은 Cellulose계열의 고분자를 이용하여 고선택도 멤브레인을 제막하였으며, 이를 이용하여 CH4 고질화를 위한 연구를 하였다. CO2, CH4, N2, O2 등 단일가스를 이용하여 CA기반의 8종의 고선택도 중공사막에 선택도와 투과도를 측정하였다. CO2/CH4 혼합가스 분리 테스트를 수행하였다.
The straight nanopores in cellulose acetate (CA) polymers for battery gel separators were generated by utilizing both hydrated metal salts and water pressure. When polymer film was exposed to water pressure, the continuous nanopores were generated after complexing with hydrated metal salts. These results could be explained by that polymer chains were weakened because of the plasticization effect of the hydrated regions incorporated into the CA. Pore size could also be easily controlled by adjusting the water pressure. The generated pores in CA polymers were confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images. The coordinate interactions between CA polymer and metal salts, and ionic states of metal salts were investigated by FT-IR and Raman spectroscopy, respectively.
We investigate the effect of the modification of cellulose acetate propionate as an organic vehicle for silver paste on solar cell efficiency. For the modification of cellulose acetate propionate, poly(ethylene glycol) is introduced to the hydroxyl groups of a cellulose acetate propionate backbone via esterification reaction. The chemical structure and composition of poly(ethylene glycol) functionalized cellulose acetate propionate is characterized by Attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance, differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. Due to the effect of structural change for poly(ethylene glycol) functionalized cellulose acetate propionate on the viscosity of silver paste, the solar cell efficiency increases from 18.524% to 18.652 %. In addition, when ethylene carbonate, which has a structure similar to poly(ethylene glycol), is introduced to cellulose acetate propionate via ring opening polymerization, we find that the efficiency of the solar cell increases from 18.524% to 18.622%.

When polymer film was exposed to water pressure, the continuous nanopores were generated after complexing with Ni(NO3)2·6H2O. These results could be explained by that polymer chains were weakened because of the plasticization effect of the Ni(NO3)2·6H2O incorporated into the CA. The well controlled CA membrane after water pressure treatment enabled fabrication of highly reliable cell by utilizing 2032-type coin cell structure. The resulting cell performance exhibited both the effect of the physical morphology of CA separator and the chemical interaction of electrolyte with CA polymer which facilitates the Li-ion in the cell.
Cellulose acetate-graft-(glycidylmethacrylate-g-polyethylene glycol) (CA-g- (GMA-g-PEG) was synthesized and incorporated into acetylated methyl cellulose (AMC) to prepare high rejection performance ultrafiltration membranes. H1-NMR and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy study confirmed the successful synthesis of CA-g-(GMA-g-PEG) and utilized for hydrophilic modification agent. Polyethyleneimine(PEI), HumicAcid(HA) and Citric Acid(CA) ligands was used to bind the metal ions in aqueous solution.The rejection efficiency of AMC/CA-g-(GMA-g-PEG) blend membranes was studied in terms of pH, concentration and time. The successful developments would allow the safe and economical advancement in the fabrication of AMC blend membranes for ultrafiltration applications.
Bacterial Cellulose (BC) produced from Acetobacter sp. is used in a wide variety of applications including paper, textile, food, cosmetic, and medicine due to its high mechanical strength, purity, and water holding capacity. In Southeast Asia, coconut water is commonly used as a carbon source for producing BC called “nata de coco”. However, there have been very few attempts to produce BC from juices of other fruit sources, such as pear, apple, and grape, which are major fruits produced in East Asia including South Korea. Since those fruits have relatively low pH because of a large quantity of organic acids, the control of pH is necessary to achieve the maximum BC production yield. The objective of this study was to investigate the BC fermentation characteristics of various fruit juices as media and to determine optimum conditions for the BC production. Sodium acetate was added to each fruit juice medium and the pH was adjusted to pH 5 with acetic acid. Acetobacter xylinus KCCM 41431 was inoculated and BC fermentation was performed for 10 days. The total sugar levels of pear, apple, and grape were 102.31, 155.10, 131.70 g/l and the pHs were 4.72, 4.04, and 3.08, respectively. In buffered fruit juice media, BC production yields were 1.98, 1.44 and 2.55 fold higher than those of pure fruit juice, probably due to the reduction of acid stress. However, the BC production was inhibited at high sodium acetate concentration (>150mM).
Cellulose acetate (CA) has been used for microfiltration/ultrafiltration applications because of its good solubility in common solvents. However, it is sensitive to chemical and physical degradation. Therefore, in this study, cellulose acetate was crosslinked with terephthaloyl chloride (TPC) in dimethylacetamide (DMAc) solution to complement these weakness. Cross-linking was confirmed by increasing in dope solution viscosity and FT-IR. To indicate the chemical resistance, weight loss was observed after the cross-linked CA membranes were immersed in ethanol, hexane, acetone and DMAc solvent for 24h. The physical properties were evaluated by the tensile strength. In the result of experience, effect of the degree of cross-linking by increasing of the concentration of TPC improved the chemical and physical properties of CA.
본 연구에서는 셀룰로오즈 아세테이트(Cellulose acetate)를 이용하여 정삼투막을 제조하였으며 분리막 성능평가를 진행하였다. 분리막의 염제거율과 정삼투 공정에서의 투과성능 변화의 상관관계를 규명하기 위해 각기 다른 염제거율을 가지는 분리막을 제조하고 정삼투 장치를 이용하여 막 투과 성능을 평가하였다. 분리막의 구조가 정삼투 투과성능에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 각기 다른 용매를 이용하여 분리막을 제조하였다. 또한 제조된 분리막의 구조는 주사전자현미경(scanningelectron microscopy)을 통해서 확인하였으며 정삼투 장치 운전을 통해 투과성능 변화를 알아보았다.
목적: 본 연구의 목적은 새롭게 개발하여 국산화한 안경테용 셀룰로오스 아세테이트(Cellulose Acetate; CA) 소재의 가공품질 및 생산성 향상을 위해 절삭성에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 방법: 다양한 절삭 및 이송속도의 변화조건 하에서 절삭성이 평가되었다. CA 소재의 절삭실험은 절삭력, 표면조도 및 칩형상 등의 분석이 이루어졌으며, 이를 통해 절삭성을 평가하였다. 결과: 주축회전수 20,000과 30,000 rpm을 제외하고 고속영역에서 절삭력이 낮게 나타났으며, 고속회전 시 표면조도가 저속회전 조건 보다 우수하였다. 절삭력과 표면조도의 상관관계는 고속회전 조건에서는 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 국산화를 위해 새롭게 개발한 안경테용 CA 소재의 고품위 가공의 절삭성 평가를 수행한 결과 주축 회전수 20,000과30,000rpm을 제외하고 고속영역에서 절삭성이 양호하였으며, 표면조도는 날당이송 0.1mm 이외의 조건에서 주축회전수가 증가할수록 양호해졌고, 칩형상도 고속회전 및 저이송 조건으로 갈수록 균일 한 형태의 칩이 발생됨을 알 수 있었다. 이상과 같은 실험결과를 종합하여 새롭게 개발된 CA 소재의 절삭성을 평가할 수 있는 기초자료를 확보할 수 있었다.
In order to study a reversible photoisomerization of disperse red l(DR 1) attached on natural polymers, cellulose acetate containing DR l(DR 1/CA adduct) was prepared, and the changes of UV/VIS spectra of its solution(benzene, DMAc). thick film, and LB film were investigated by alternate irradiation with two different wave length lights. DR 1/CA adduct was prepared through tosylation of partially hydrolyzed cellulose acetate followed by reaction with DR 1 at 100℃ in pyridine. From the UV/VIS spectra of DR 1/CA adduct dissolved in DMAc solvent including phosphoglyceride before and after irradiation at 360nm and 45Onm, we found out the changes of UV/VIS spectra were reversible. In addition, the change of UV/VIS spectra of this adduct solution was strongly depended on the sorts of solvents and temperature. As the temperature was increased, UV/VIS spectra of this adduct solution in DMF showed blue shift. These results provided this solution could be applied to a temperature sensor. In the thick film case, we also obtained similar results with solution case. LB monolayer and trilayer from DR 1/CA adduct was obtained by scattering the solution including phosphoglyceride on water surface at the surface pressure of 8mN/m. After irradiation on that LB monolayer and trilayer, the reversible photoisomerization was also detected. From these results we concluded DR 1/CA adduct was suitable for the application to data storage and optical switch, etc.
셀룰로오스 아세테이트(CA) 소재로 역삼투막을 제조하여 각종 제막조건에 의한 막성능에 미치는 영향인자를 조사하였다. 제막 용액조성으로 CA, formamide, acetone과 2-methoxyethanol을 사용하여 평판형 막을 만들고, 투과유속 및 배제율을 측정하였다. 특성 측정 인자로서 고분자 농도, 증발시간, 열처리 온도 및 처리 시간, 조작압력, 공급액의 농도 등을 변화시켜 막에 대한 영향을 연구하였다. 또한 제조된 막을 사용하여 역삼투 모델식에 적용하여 각각의 파라메타를 계산하였다.
바이오가스의 고질화 공정에서는 필수적으로 메탄의 손실이 발생하게 된다. 특히 기체분리막을 이용한 바이오가 고질화는 타 공정에 비해 경제적이라는 장점이 있지만 메탄 손실율이 높은 편이다. 메탄 손실율이 줄이기 위해서는 고선택도의 분리막 모듈이 요구된다. 분리막을 이용한 바이오가스 고질화 공정에서 메탄손실율이 높은 이유는 CO2에 의한 가소화(Plasticization)으로 CH4의 투과도가 증가하기 때문이다. Cellulose계열의 고분자는 CO2 가소화에 대한 영향이 적기 때문에 CA(Cellulose Acetate)를 사용하여 고선택도의 분리막 개발이 가능하다. 따라서, 투과도가 높은 막을 개발하기 위해 도프용액의 농도와 에어갭(Evaporation time)을 변화시키면서, CA의 두께와 기공을 조절하여, 고선택도의 CA 분리막을 제막하였다. 비용매 유도상 분리법(NIPS, nonsolvent induced phase separation)을 이용하여 제막하였다. 실험에 사용된 Eastman사의 CA를 더 이상 정제하지 않고 그대로 사용하였으며, 도프용액은 다성계로 중합체(polymer), 용매(solvent), 비용제(nonsolvent)를 혼합하여 분리막을 방사하였다. CA의 함량이 증가할수록 active layer 층이 두꺼워지므로 분리막의 선택도가 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 하지만, CA함량이 증가할수록 support layer의 다공층이 줄어들게 되고 active layer층이 두꺼워지므로 투과도도 함께 줄어들게 된다. CA 21wt%에서의 메탄의 투과도와 선택도는 1.3 GPU 및 33.0이였으며, CA 25wt%에서의 메탄 투과도와 선택도는 0.1 GPU 및 43.6으로 고선택도 분리막을 제막하였다.
The objective of this study is to manufacture an efficient activated carbon fiber (ACF) assemblies filter. Cellulose acetate and phenolic resin were dissolved in acetone and coated on a 2 cm-long and 2 cm-wide stainless steel mesh. Various concentrations of cellulose acetate and phenolic resin in acetone solution were examined for the extent of coating on the stainless steel mesh using a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), a surface area analyzer (BET) and a microscope. As a result, the best quality of coating on the stainless steel mesh was obtained with 2 wt,% cellulose acetate and 10 wt,% phenolic resin in acetone solution. The ACF filter was also impregnated with ZnCl2, KOH, H3PO4 and Na2CO3, respectively to enhance its adsorption capacity. Iodine number increased by impregnating with the chemical compound in the following order: KOH > ZnCl2> Na2CO3> H3PO4. Iodine numbers for the ACF filters impregnated with ZnCl2 (ACFz) and KOH (ACFK) were found to be 972 ~ 1,117 mg/g and 987 ~ 1,183 mg/g respectively.
