        색동은 고대부터 사용해 온 우리 고유 원단이며 다양한 색사를 경사로 사용하여 동일간격 세로 줄무늬가 반복적으로 나타나도록 평직, 수자직으로 직조한 것이다. 본 연구는 고대의 색동이 어떻게 발생하였고 그 의미가 무엇인지에 대해 고찰하였다. 연구방법으로는 선행논문 및 단행본, 학술지 등의 문헌자료, 박물관 자료, 신문과 사진 자료, 인터넷 검색 등을 이용하였으며 도자기, 금속공예, 무용 등 복합예술의 다양한 분야에서 나타난 고대문화의 연결고리를 고찰하였다. 또 조선족 자료와 일본의 아스카 문화 및 다카마스총의 고분벽화를 통해서 고구려, 백제의 흔적을 살펴 보았다. 색동은 즐거움, 기쁨, 경사, 하늘의 축복, 신령함, 바람, 풍작 등을 의미하며 우리 선조의 낙천적이고 긍정적인 정서를 표현하는데 구체적으로 살펴보면 첫째, 색동으로 나라와 가정의 경사와 즐거움, 기쁨의 감정을 표현하였으며 좋은 일이 반복되고 지속되길 기원하는 마음을 나타내었다. 둘째, 단아한 아름다움을 통해 질서, 평등, 조화를 상징한다. 셋째, 색동은 생명, 힘이며 신성한 존재로서 숭상된 하늘에 속한 신비스러운 새를 나타낸다. 넷째, 부와 풍요로서 비, 바람 또는 밭이랑을 상징한다. 조선족과 일본에 남아 있는 우리 한복과 색동의 경쾌하고 선명한 색사용 을 통해 우리 선조의 자긍심과 정체성을 엿볼 수 있었다.

        Meoricho of Dancheong is a pattern that placed at the end of each elements. We call Dancheong which has Meoricho Moro-dancheong. Meorico is the pattern comes from the metal ornaments of ancient architecture. The most primitive forms of Meoricho is Saw-toothed Design. Since the influence of Buddhism in the Northern Wei dynasties Saw-toothed Design have changed Tied lotus Design. Tied lotus Design of the Unified Silla it becames Gak-yeop Design and Yeo-ui-doo Design Meoricho in Goryeo Dynasty. Since Goryeo Dynasty there’s been great and small variations in the internal composition of Meoricho, but the outline has maintained as it was. Therefore the completed form of the outline of Meoricho could be regarded as the one that was formed in Goryeo Dynasty.

        본 연구는 중국 시장에서 소비자 세계주의가 외국 브랜드 구매 행위에 미치는 영향이 브랜드 원산지와 명성에 따라 달라질 수 있음을 검증하는 연구이다. 구체적으로 세계주의 성향이 높은 소비자는 상대적으로 소비자 적대감이 높은 원산지의 브랜드와 문화적 이질성이 높은 원산지의 브랜드를 수용하는 경향이 높은지를 살펴본다. 동시에 소비자 세계주의의 혁신성과 관련하여서도, 세계주의 성향이 높은 소비자는 인지도가 낮은 외국 브랜드에 대한 선호도가 높은지도 검증한다. 중국 소비자를 대상으로 실험 설계를 통한 소비자 세계주의의 효과를 검증한 결과, 위의 차별적 효과가 확인되 었다. 흥미로운 점은 세계주의 성향이 높은 소비자는 서양권 브랜드는 선호하나, 문화적으로 유사한 동양권 브랜 드, 특히 유명 브랜드에 대한 선호도는 높지 않는 것으로 발견되었다.

        The nitrogen isotope value in both ammonium and nitrate ion were determined at 9 stations during both June and August 2016, in order to understand the origin of DIN at the Han river. δ15N-NO3 and δ15N-NH4 values in 8 stations (CP, SB, MHC, P4, SJ, SBC, P2, SC) were no significant variation. However δ15N-NO3 and δ15N-NH4 values in KK (Kyeongan stream) showed significant different in comparison with 8 stations, with an apparent increase of nitrogen isotope values. These results indicate that antropogenic nitrogen source influence on KK station. Also the δ13C and δ15N isotope ratio of phytoplankton (Diatom and Cyanobacteria) in KK (Kyeongan stream) showed heavier values, compared to other study stations. These results indicate that nitrogen isotope value in phytoplankton effects by different nitrogen source in study sites. These results suggest that the analysis of stable isotope ratios is a simple but useful tool for the identification of dissolved inorganic nitrogen origin in aquatic environments.

        In South Korea, increase in kimchi import from China has emphasized the importance of noticing the origin of production area, largely because of the price and safety concerns. Nevertheless, identification of it depends on a complex physicochemical method. Hence, the objective of this study is to develop a statistical algorithm applicable for analyzing volatile compounds measured by electronic nose so that the device can be used for simple classification of kimchi by its production origin. Discriminant function analysis (DFA), one of multi-variate analysis, was mainly used for analyzing big-size data of volatile compounds detected from kimchi produced either in South Korea or China. Result showed that DFA could completely separate 69 varieties of kimchi by its origin of production (39 from South Korea and 30 from China). This result suggests that volatile compounds can be an index for identifying origin of kimchi and consequently, electronic nose is an optimal option for identifying origin of kimchi production when combined with multi-variate statistics.

        The objectives of this study are to examine the genetic variation and the origin elucidation in oriental fruit flies (Diptera:Tephritidae) using DNA barcode, in prepartion for their future introductions into Korea. About 1,600 specimens of B.dorsalis sp. complex and B. correcta were collected from 10 countries, the Indochina peninsula, the Philippines, Taiwanand South China. A total of 182 cytochrome c oxidase I (COI) sequences were obtained and aligned from these regionalspecimens. Three chinese sequences from the GenBank reference were also included. Six hundreds base pair fragmentswere aligned and trimmed and used for a barcode. The phylogenetic tree was generated using the neighbor-joining methodwith 1,000 bootstrap replicates. There were two distinct groups in the phylogenetic tree, Bactrocera dorsalis sp. complexand B. correcta. Three specimen, intercepted in the hand-carried mango at the airport inspection and collected in the confiscatedmango, smuggled from Vietnam were included for a test. The DNA sequences from the airport were 100% identical toone of various Vietnam specimens, and that from the confiscated mango was mostly similar to those of Vietnam, suggestingthe usefulness of the barcode for elucidating the origin of oriental fruit fly.

        Trophic associations of lepidopteran larvae have been formed from a long period of evolution. The larva of Oecophoridaecan keep being concealed with several strategies. They may be sheltered within a web or hidden under bark or deadwood, or inside leaves rolled by them. Sometimes they bore stem or trunk or burrow under bark or hide in soil. In addition,they can also be found in very diverse and specialized microhabitats. This study was to assess the ancestral characterstate of microhabitat and larva sheltering strategy within the phylogenetic relationship of Oecophoridae to understand theirevolutionary transition and the adaptation of larva to microhabitats using sheltering strategies. Also, it is to investigatethe historical biogeography and evolution of the family Oecophoridae and related higher taxa for understanding their globalradiation and distribution.

        New Zealand split from the rest of Gondwana 65-80 my and is home to approximately 6000 species of beetles, manyof which are undescribed and or poorly studied. Like other iconic groups of New Zealand organisms, the beetle faunais composed of ancient relict lineages and endemic radiations, indicative of an island continental island which never hadopen ecological niches as seen in deep islands such as Hawaii or the Galapagos archipelagos. While more recent volcanismand glaciation as well as the arrival of man within the past 1000 yrs has shaped the population structure and distributionof New Zealand beetles, a new comprehensive model for the evolution of beetles is proposed.

        Although Agaricus bisporus mushroom is a popular mushroom consumed world-widely, the application of common bio-elements to verify its geographical origin remains highly limited. Therefore, this study aimed to verify whether the six cultivation regions in Korea of A. bisporus could be determined by the stable isotope composition analysis of bio-elements, which are unique and abundant in most living creatures. δ13C, δ15N, δ18O, and δ34S in A. bisporus were influenced by the region, cultivar, and the interactions between these two factors (P < 0.05). In particular, the effect of cultivation region was more significant to the isotope ratio profiles as compared to the mushroom cultivar effect. During the cultivation period of A. bisporus, the C, N, O, and S isotopic fractionation was observed between the mushroom and cultivation medium, note higher in the mushroom (P < 0.05). Two dimensional plot of δ15N, δ18O, or δ34S effectively distinguished the cultivation regions, Nonsan, Buyeo, Boryung, Daegu, and/or Gyeongju examined in this study. Further, these isotope ratio profiles measured in this study would be statistically analyzed with various chemometrics to provide isotope markers for the authenticity of geographical origin. Our preliminary case study improves our understanding of how the isotope composition of A. bisporus varies with respect to cultivation regions and cultivars. In conclusion, the analysis of stable isotope ratios is a suitable potential tool for discrimination between the cultivation origins of A. bisporus collected from Korea, with potential application to other countries after certain validation steps required.

        This work aimed to discriminate the geographical origins of Domestic and Chinese Wolfiporia extensa. subjected to of oxygen (45.32 to 48.07%), carbon (38.09 to 40.12%), hydrogen (6.05 to 6.78%), and nitrogen (0.16 to 0.23%). Antioxidant activity was examined by DPPH free radical scavenging activity. According to the results of the experiment, no significant differences were found between domestic (IC50, 7.25 mg/ml) and Chinese (IC50, 8.35 mg/ml) Poria cocos wolf. However, as determined by the inorganic mineral contents were significantly different between domestic and Chinese W. extensa. The amount of potassium in domestic and Chinese W. extensa was 47.60 ± 8.78% and 33.14 ± 17.27%, respectively. The results of this study suggested that the analysis of inorganic components by ED-XRF should be useful for origin identification of Poria cocos wolf.

        강풍으로 인한 구조물의 파괴는 한계상태 이상의 풍하중으로 인한 파괴와 한계상태 보다 레벨은 낮지만 반복적인 풍하중에 의한 피로파괴로 나눌 수 있다. 한계상태설계 파괴에 대한 연구는 많이 이루어져 있으나, 강풍에 의한 피로파괴에 관한 연구는 드물다. 본 논문은 강풍에 의한 피로파괴 해석 시 사용할 수 있는 풍속의 계속시간에 관한 모델을 기상관측소로부터 획득한 자료를 사용하여 확률통계방법에 의하여 제시한 것이다. 강풍의 발생성인은 한국의 기상 특성에 따라 태풍, 전선풍, 계절풍으로 나누었고, 년최대풍 속자료에 대한 통계적인 처리는 극치Ⅰ형 누적분포함수를 사용하였다. 1회 강풍이 불었을 때 어떤 레벨에서 풍속의 계속시간은 풍속의 확률밀도함수와 최대풍속값에 의해 일반화된 누적신간의 곱으로 각 강풍의 발생성인에 따라 주어진다.

        Bourbon is the major coffee variety grown in Rwanda. Fully washed bourbon produced in Rwanda is a nascent specialty coffee and no investigation of its quality characteristics has been reported. Thus, this study aimed at providing information about intrinsic flavor characteristics and identifying the most discriminating aroma compounds of this coffee from the major growing areas in four provinces (considered by this study as geographical sub-regions) in comparison with Arabica coffee from Ethiopia and Brazil using electronic nose and electronic tongue. Samples were discriminated and characterized by performing a principal component analysis (PCA). A discriminant factorial analysis (DFA) model was also used to predict the geographic origin of coffee samples based on their flavor characteristics. A similarity was observed between flavor characteristics of coffee samples from western and southern sub-regions as well as between northern and eastern sub-regions of Rwanda. Twenty one most discriminating aroma compounds were found but the identified and confirmed ones are: Butan-2-one, Acetic acid, n-Butanol, 2, 3- Pentanedione, Ethyl-2-methybutyrate, Dimethylsulfide, 2-Prpanol, 2-Methylfuran, Ethylacetate, Ethyl propionate and Heptanal. A DFA model using e-nose was successful in predicting the geographic origin of coffee samples but not with e-tongue. This means that aroma can reliably be used to predict the geographic origin of coffee samples than their taste characteristics. Further investigation is required to test the possibility of origin recognition based on taste characteristics.
