        A secondary survey was conducted to investigate the customers' opinions on fast foods at thirty noodle chain restaurants in Seoul from November 16 to 25, 1988. The results are summarized as follows: 584 customers were surveyed consisting 42% of male and 58% of female. Proportion of age groups was 32.9% of adolescents, 38.7% of young adults, and 28.4% of adults. Females and young adults visited more than once or twice a week. The majority of customers had a favorable opinions to 'convenience in diet' and 'use on busy', but unfavorable to 'consistant quality of meals is keeping', and 'consistency in service is keeping'. The priority of important factors in purchasing fast foods were the cleanliness, taste of meals, convenience, and the price. Customers were most satisfied with atmosphere, while least satisfied with the price.

        고려시대(高麗時代)에 육대(六大) 차류(茶類)의 전래(傳來) 여부(與否)와 국내(國內)에서의 제차(製茶) 여부(與否)를 고찰(考察)한 결과(結果) 다음과 같은 사실(史實)이 확인(確認)되었다. 1. 연고차(硏膏茶)가 전래(傳來)되어, 국내(國內)에서도 생산(生産)되었다. 2. 향차(香茶)는 백차(白茶)로 만들어졌을 것으로 추정(推定)된다. 3. 엄차와 대차(大茶)는 청차(靑茶)였던 것으로 추정(推定)된다. 4. 고려말기(高麗末期)에는 녹차(綠茶)인 엽차(葉茶)도 음용(飮用)되었다.

        Of 1,244 junior high school students of boys and girls and their families in Tokyo and Seoul, we investigated the present situations of the participation in cooking and table manners. In both countries, the average age of parents was 40's, and the ratio of the kinds of fathers' job was similar including 75% of full-time salaried workers, while that of mothers' in Japan was 63%, in Korea 23%. The male participation in cooking in both countries was found in younger generations and that of fathers and boys in Korea was significantly fewer than in Japan, which is regarded as the influence of Confucianism and employment of housekeepers. The figure of frequency of supper taken together daily was 27% in Japan and 54% in Korea where they didn't begin eating until all families gathered or the elders began. In Japan the civilities before and after meals were so often customarily expressed and they had the regular order of seats. The figure of frequency of taking meals with TV watching was about 45% in Japan of breakfast and supper and more than 30% in Korea of supper. As for the participation in cooking and table manners, national characteristics were clearly found out. In both countries, the newly modernized and democratized style of dietary behaviors was being made, rather sooner in Japan, out of the specific East-Asian traditional dining culture.

        In order to know sea water characteristics around coast line of Cheju Island, physical and chemical environmental factor analyses have been performed with data observed from June 1987 to April 188. Water temperature was over 10℃ even in winter with highest value of 14.7℃ in the southern part over the whole study area. Concentrations of DO, COD and SS were as low as those in the standard sea-water-quality classes [I] and [II]. Nutrient concentration was higher in the present study region than on the coastal areas by previous works, suggesting influx of materials from land. The ratio of N/P ranged from 21.6 to 67.4 (mean : 38.8). Concentration of Chlorophgll-a was high in eastern and southern part throughout the year, except a special high value of 3.89㎎/㎥ at Gosan, western part of the study area, in August.

        A series of four sodium α-sulfo fatty vinyl ester oligomers including sodium α-sulfo lauric acid vinyl ester oligomer, sodium α-sulfo myristic acid vinyl ester oligomer, sodium α-sulfo palmitic acid vinyl ester oligomer and sodium α-sulfo stearic acid vinyl ester oligomer were examined for surface activities such as surface tension, foaming power, foam stability, emulsifying power, dispersion effect, solubilization of orange OT. The critical micelle concentration(CMC) was also evaluated. Consequently, these sodium α-sulfo fatty acid vinyl ester oligomers were shown to have a good cohesive power and dispersion effect.

        The objective of this study was to access the effects of sensory and physical properties of Beandaeduk on 7 different combination methods (three were combined with mung bean and different proportions of water; four were combined with mung bean and various cereals with constant water), and 3 storage periods (0, 1 and 3 weeks at -18℃). This experiment was consisted of sensory evaluation I (appearance, texture, taste, flavor and overall preference), II (color, moisture, volume, hardness, elasticity, viscosity and ratio materials, off-flavor and oder) and physical analysis of each sample, and questionaire survey of Beandaeduk. In sensory evaluation I except flavor, significant differences (p〈0.05) were found among different combination methods of sample. Also significant differences (p〈0.05) were found in sample for storage periods, except appearance. In sensory evaluation II, only moisture and oder of samples were significantly different (p〈0.05) for storage periods, and there were significant differences (p〈0.05) in samples among different combination methods, except elasicity. Stepwise regression for storage periods in sensory I showed that texture and taste were important factors in overall preference of sample. In the questionaire survey, preference and adding materials of Beandaeduk were different according to province. Half of respondents preferred to get instant Beandaeduk and instant mung bean powder.

        A simple analytic model has been made to describe the radio appearance of nonspherical stro¨mgren region(e. q. comet-shaped H II region), assuming that(1) ionizing photons are conserved to a given solid angle within which they are emitted, and (2) a supersonic motion of a surrounding medium creates a shocked region in front of the non-spherical Sro¨mgren region. On the basis of this calculation, a model for the cometary H II region G34. 3+0.2 has been constructed to obtain dynamical parameter of the surrounding medium(V=100㎞/tsec at a_0=1㎞/sec)with a value of n_u=103㎝^(-3). The theoretical radio appearance of the model reproduces both the emission maximum at' the head part and the dominant shell structure as the radio observation of G34.3+0.2 has displayed.

        We have considered the mass loss effects on the analytical PMS stellar evolutionary model of Stein(1966). In this calculation, we have assumed the mass loss law, M˙=K(L/C)(R/GM)'-,which should be reasonable for PMS stellar wind mechanism. The numerically obtained evolutionary tracks in H-R diagram indicate that the higher mass losses PMS star have, the later they reach the radiative equilibrium. We have considered the composition effect on the evolution such as the composition difference between Pop. I and Pop. II PMS stars. We have also compared the tracks under the mass loss law, M˙=K'LR/GM.

        수도(水稻)의 양질(良質) 품종육성(品種育性)을 위한 기초자료(基礎資料)를 얻고자 벼 7개친(個親)과 이를 이면교배(二面交配)한 21조합(組合)의 에 있어서 심복백(心腹白), 알카리붕괴도(崩壞度)를 조사(調査)하고, 조합능력(組合能力)의 검정(檢定) 및 유전분석(遺傳分析)을 한 바, 얻어진 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 분산분석결과(分散分析結果) 모든 형질(形質)에서 친간(親間) 및 간(間)에 유의차(有意差)가 있었으며 친대(親對) 간(間)에도 모든 형질(形質)에서 유의차(有意差)가 있었다. 모든 형질(形質)에서 일반조합능력(一般組合能力)과 특정조합능력(特定組合能力)이 유의(有意)하였고, 12시간처리(時間處理)에서의 알카리붕괴도(崩壞度)는 비상가적유전분산(非相加的遺傳分散)이 상가적유전분산(相加的遺傳分散)보다 컸으며 타형질(他形質)은 상가적유전분산(相加的遺傳分散)이 비상가적유전분산(非相加的遺傳分散)보다 컸다. 12시간처리(時間處理)에서의 알카리붕괴도(崩壞度)는 완전우성(完全優性)을 나타내었으며 타형질(他形質)은 모두 부분우성(部分優性)을 나타내었다. 우성(優性)의 방향(方向)은 부(負)의 방향(方向)이었으며 전(全) 형질(形質)에서 광의(廣義) 및 협의(狹義)의 유전력(遺傳力)이 높게 추정(推定)되었다. 심백(心白)과 복백간(腹白間) 및 복백(腹白)과 알카리붕괴도간(崩壞度間)에 정(正)의 유의상관(有意相關)이 인정(認定)되었다.

        치악산국립공원내 주 이용대상지인 구룡사-비로봉 일대 삼림군집의 구조를 분석하기 위하여 인간 간섭의 정도 및 환경조건을 고려하여 4개 조사지를 선정하고 총 45개 조사구를 설치하였다. 인간의 간섭이 심한 저지대 계곡부의 경우 비교적 천이단계가 낮은 소나무가 우점종이었으며(조사지 I ), 비교적 인간의 간섭이 심한 고지대 계곡부(조사지 II)와 근래에 입산금지가 된 계곡부(조사지 III )에서는 층층나무. 주등산로가 있는 고지대 능선부(조사지 IV)에서는 신갈나무가 우점종이었다. 종다양성은 조사지 III, II, I, IV의 순으로 높았는데, 이것은 능선부인 조사지 IV를 제외할 때, 인간 간섭의 정도와 역의 관계였다. 종상관성 분석결과 소나무는 타수종과 유의적인 부의 상관을 가지는 경우는 비교적 많았으나 정의 상관을 인정할 수 있는 경우는 나타나지 않음으로써 대체로 순림의 형태를 이루고 있었다. 치악산 구룡사 계곡의 DCA에 의한 ordination분석결과 표고 및 환경인자에 의해 3개의 군집으로 나눌 수 있었으며, stand ordination에 따라 소나무군집, 소나무-신갈나무, 소나무-갈참나무, 갈참나무-서어나무, 층층나무-까치박달나무, 층층나무 군집으로 구분되었다. 천이과정은 능선 및 중복부에서는 소나무→신갈나무 및 참나무류, 팥배나무→서어나무로, 계곡저지대에서는 소나무→참나무류→층층나무, 까치박달나무로 진행되는 과정이었다.
