This study involved the shape of water jet nozzle to promote blasting ability and an increase of projection distance when cleaning VLBC cargo hold. Simulation of water jet projection process inside VLBC cargo hold was done in both 2D and 3D environment. The result are promising since both case show the capability of water contacting the desired target.
In this study, we investigated the effects of EGR rate and engine load on the emission characteristics in a 4-cylinder common rail direct injection diesel engine fueled with canola oil biodiesel (BD) blended fuel. The biodiesel blend fuel, BD20 (20 vol.% biodiesel and 80 vol.% ULSD blend) was used at an engine speed of 1,500rpm. The experimental results showed that with the increasing of EGR rate, the combustion pressure and rate of heat release (ROHR) of three test fuels were decreased, and the ignition delay was extended, the carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM) emissions increased slightly, but the nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission decreased clearly. On the other hand, with the increasing of engine load, the combustion pressure and ROHR were increased, and the CO and PM emissions decreased. However, the NOx emission was increased due to the rise of the combustion temperature.
Our environment is faced with serious problems related to the air pollution from automobiles in these days. In particular, the exhaust emissions from the diesel engines are recognized main cause which influenced environment strong. In this study, the potential of biodiesel fuel and oxygenated fuel (ethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether; EGBE) was investigated as an effective method of decreasing the smoke emission. The smoke emission of blending fuel (EGBE 0~20 vol-%) was reduced in comparison with diesel fuel and it was reduced approximately 64% at 2000 rpm, full load in the 20% of blending rate. But torque and brake specific energy consumption (BSEC) didn't have no large differences. But, NOx emissions from biodiesel fuel and EGBE blended fuel were increased compared with diesel fuel.
The performance of snow ice maker has been investigated experimentally. The snow ice maker consists of refrigeration cycle and water supply line. We have tested performance of existing products snow ice maker first. We know the ice knife freezing state and the stack of ice at outlet. Small improvements include the ice knife heating system and the smooth eliminate of snow ice system. The snow ice capacity is 15 percent growth than that of existing products.
To study the effects of the gas channel wall contact angle on the behavior of a liquid water slug, numerical simulations are performed with the volume of fluid (VOF) method. Two different contact angle combinations on the side and top channel walls are selected. In comparison to the reference case, the water slug is removed faster when the hydrophobic contact angle is applied selectively in the corner section.
An eductor is an fluid transportation simplified device that generate relatively low pressure utilizing the kinetic energy of pressured fluid to provoke suction of another fluid, mix the two and discharge the mixture against a counter pressure. In this study, a parameter analysis was conducted to predict the eductor performance against various operating conditions.
In this paper, a automatic transmission shift quality simulator is developed using MATLAB Simulink. The shift simulator is developed using the dynamic models of the automatic transmission with torque converter, and vehicle dynamics and the hydraulic control system, which consists of solenoid valve, pressure control valve, accumulator and actuator.
In this study, to develop high-efficiency environmental improvement system that can be combined with hot and cold potable water supply to poultry air conditioning for the summer increase heat stress relief and winter feed efficiency through optimal design hwihan The aim of this study was to provide basic data. As a cage the size of the system installed is 100m2 test capacity 20RT district heating and cooling of air-to-water heat pump and the control was composed of electric hot water boilers. First of cage sizes for heating load design, materials, heat pump capacity, air capacity, storage tank, drinking water tank capacity, etc. were determined. The capacity of the heat pump was set to 20RT cage captive birds are erected as vertically and horizontally × height × (13 × 21 × 4.5m). Storage tank 3 tons and capacity of 10 tons potable water tank was designed. In the future, the size of the cage, designed according to the best breeding two numbers are needed.

The volume of fluid (VOF) method is applied to study the effects of the gas channel cross-section shape on the removal characteristics of a water slug in a trapezoidal PEMFC gas channel. Two different open angles 50 and 60 degrees are selected to investigate the effect of cross-section shape on the behavior of a liquid water slug. In comparison to the 50 degrees case, the water slug is removed slightly faster for the 60 degrees case.
In physical engineering, the turbulent flow on the surface roughness is very important. The roughness of the surface changed the distance of the interval. The roughness coefficient occurred with increasing turbulence intensities was stronger. The turbulence intensity away from the roughness in the shape was zero. The variation of turbulence intensity at the experimental flow conditions change was not affected.
Numerical analysis was performed to analysis the structural characteristics of the head device in the road mower system. The head device connects mower system with the boom of the special vehicle. The system with various road surface conditions is subjected to continuous vibration and repeated load. Especially, the maximum equivalent stress occurs in the pillar of the head device, and the maximum equivalent strain also occurs in the fixed plate that supports the mower system. Fatigue analysis results show that the upper end of the pillar is very vulnerable. This analysis results can be used as basic data for optimal road mower head system design.
ㅊBy controlling the piston speed of the gas spring applying to the digital television stand application of the gas spring, a user can operate the elevation when the gas spring is working under long stroke(200～300 mm, the TV elevation displacement). According to stroke, by some devices with the problem rising from between the difference of external forces, the emotional quality in television elevational function is realized. The piston speed control technique is investigated to perform this experiment piston flow analysis and flow rate control for precise tubular cross section and propose a piston structure for elevation action. This study is for the development of the gas spring of the large size television stand with 50 inch over. In the gas spring development of elevation working, a device to compensate for the volume of the cylinder is generated as much the volume of the piston rod. As this study result, at the development of working gas spring, the hollow shaft is more favorable than the solid one in the apparatus to compensate for the cylinder volume generated.
This study is to introduce the development of the single tablet press used to test tablets for the purpose of their pharmaceutical development and production. This product which has been dependent entirely on imports is localized by finding the improvement of existing products and by reflecting it in the product development. Its performance evaluation has met the satisfactory target in the area of weight, hardness and productivity. It is expected that its mass production can be allowed by recognizing the effect of single tablet press which has been used in the domestic bio-pharmaceutical industry and by securing its basic production techniques.
In order to select the supporting points for large glass panels used for TFT-LCD monitors, an optimization method selecting the supporing points is presented. In this method we reduce the problem of 1 degree of freedom. ANSYS optimization module is used and optimization criterion is to minimize the maximum deflection.
As a part of light weight, the adhesive has been applied to joint the mechanical structure. The porous material is used with aluminum foam in case of the structure bonded with only adhesive. In order to confirm the durability, it is necessary to investigate the fracture toughness at the bonded joint. So, the fracture property at joint interface of aluminum foam different from the non-porous material becomes especially important. In this study, the static facture analysis was carried out with DCB specimen bonded with adhesive as the loading type of mode Ⅲ. The thicknesses of specimens are 35, 45 and 55 mm. When the forced displacements 5 mm applied on the specimen proceed at specimen thicknesses of 35, 45 and 55 mm, the maximum stresses is shown to be happened at the range from 3.3 MPa to 3.6 MPa. The maximum equivalent stress happened at the specimen thickness of 35mm becomes highest among four kinds of specimens. The static experiment is carried on in order to verify these analyses representatively. As the experimental data become similar with the simulation data, it is thought that these analysis data can be applied at analyzing them into the adhesive joint of real porous material.

Through this analysis we can find out more effective repair factors from the various fault in SCR component.
The present study is the development of recyclable micro pale expansion drilling bit. The domestic market will gradually be suppressed by the new developed ring one in the use of ring bit(non-recyclable) in this business. Existing casing drilling and insertion method is applied by order of the casing inserted after drilling, which has the disadvantage that a long construction time, device costs and labor consuming. When the steel pipe multi-bit-only expansion drilling is developed, enterprise sales and employment effects can occur. If the performance of the developed products through the product equal to or superior to the domestic component parts are developed proprietary technology acquisition and cost savings, as well as the construction period of about 30%, and the expected reduction of 70% in material costs are expected.
