Semi-Rigid Pavement is one of excellent paving methods adopting merits of Ascon and concrete paving. But, it has placed just only normal road pavement. In this case, we have constructed Semi-rigid pavement method at Deck pavement on service bridge and we have estimated Semi-rigid pavement as a new paving method replacing Ascon and concrete pavement.

This study presents a technical overview of snow and ice accretion on cable-stayed bridges and suspension bridges. Specially, it focuses on measures against snow or ice falling into bridge decks. Many different types of de-icing and anti-icing are discussed in this paper.

Recently, Large Diameter Shield TBM method is being adapted to several domestic construction sites. Therefore, it is really necessary for the maintenance technology about long-term serviceability and durability of shield tunnel. In this paper, it would arrange the basis for reasonable evaluation of tunnel by the data analyzing through the site investigation concerning the crack and leakage which can occur by the maintenance of domestic large diameter shield TBM method.

The damping ratios of the modes as well as the natural frequencis and the mode shapes are required to characterize the modal behavior of structure. The mode shapes and the natural frequencies are determined from analytical methods or measurements accurately. But there is little analytical basis for estimating the damping ratios although they are the most important to determine the amplitude of the vibration. Especially for the cable-stayed bridges the aerodynamic damping ratios determine the amplitude of the response to wind loads. This paper is an attempt to estimate the aerodynamic damping ratios based on measured data and quasi-static theory.

Marine bridges are deteriorated due to the exposure under marine environment. The structure deterioration occurred by corrosion of steel in concrete is mainly relevant to chloride in seawater. The cathodic protection technique is an unique measurement to stop the corrosion of steel. The deterioration characteristic for each element is useful to establish the maintenace strategy and to determine the inspection interval. To suggest the preliminary data for effective maintenance of bridge structures, the damage patterns of expressway bridges are quantitatively analyzed in the present study. Damages detected in concrete deck slab, girder(concrete/steel), abutment and pier are classified into damage patterns and details. The purpose of this paper is to improve the method for rear cavity inspection of cut-off wall at concrete faced rock-fill dam. To do this, we suggested that using impact echo wave, analysis of embeded instruments data, and numerical method to considering the expecting crack open failure behavior. It can not expect more than freeze resistance by geothermal, low-temperature phenomena long period of temperature decrease below freezing is becoming than in the past. The natural hazard occurrences such as landslides, debris flows and natural/artificial slope failures were mainly caused by typhoons and extremely heavy rainfall. In order to reduce these natural hazards the efficient countermeasure methods were need to reduce the landslide and debris flow caused by variations of precipitation patterns. The positively countermeasure coping with the debris flow hazards should have to estimate mainly progress to construction of barrier facilities based on the predicted results of potential hazard types and its scales as well as establish and enforce actively maintenance of the barrier facilities. In addition we also emphasized the necessary to the types of barrier facilities and institution improvement in order to positively hazard reduction of debris flow.

As most infrastructure have low natural frequency for vibration, an energy harvester to operate wireless sensors for them should be aimed to low frequency and have high output efficiency. This study proposes the energy harvester with parallel-connected single crystal ceramic for low frequency in order to gain enhanced efficiency. The performance is confirmed by the experiment using the acceleration data of hangers in Yeongjong Bridge.

The sensors currently installed for bridge monitoring are faced with limitations in terms of the application and effectiveness of such systems in current long sized bridges, which are developing rapidly in terms of both size and function. Recently, as a number of long span bridges are constructed, the various studies have been focused on bridge health monitoring system (BHMS). Also, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is being spotlighted as new concept sensor for BHMS because of its unique advantages. However, GNSS installed for bridge monitoring has been used so far only in measurement of bridge displacement. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the way-finding system on the facility management in the general hospitals. For this purpose, visiting survey and questionnaire study are carried out for four general hospitals. Based on the results, way-finding system such as sign board is a essential element for patient satisfaction as well as facility management.
