        본 연구에서는 제주도 해안에 자생하는 45종의 해양식물 추출물에 대한 항균 활성을 조사하였다. 해양식물 추출물은 80 % 메탄올에서 유효 성분을 추출하여 시료화 하였고 항균활성을 검증하였다. 그 결과, 45종의 해조류 중에서 넓패, 패, 구멍갈파래 등을 포함한 6종의 해양식물이 미생물 생육을 억제하는 결과를 보였다. 항균활성을 갖는 해양식물 중 패, 감태 2종은 항산화 효능도 동시에 가지고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해, 본 실험에서 확보된 추출물이 항균 물질로 사용될 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다.

        ‘'Morningpurple’' is a new sweetpotato variety developed by Mokpo Experiment Station, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS), RDA in 2007, for flowering. This variety was selected from the cross between Sinchunmi and Hi-dry in 2004, seedling and line selections were practiced from 2005 to 2006. ‘'Morningpurple’' has morning glory type flowers with purple color. It has triangular leaf, green with purple vine and petiole, elliptic storage root, red skin and yellow flesh color of storage root. The average yield of storage root was 15.0 ton/ha. Number of storage roots over 50 gram per plant was 2.6, and the average weight of storage root was 143 gram.

        본 연구에서는 제주도에서 자생하는 30여 종의 식물추출물에 대한 항비만 효능을 조사하였다. 항비만 효능은 in vitro oil red-O staining 방법을 이용하여 지방전구세포 3T3-L1에서 분화억제력을 측정하였다. 그 결과, 30여 종의 식물 중에서 약도라지, 호장근, 유근피 등을 포함한 6종의 식물이 지방전구세포 3T3-L1의 분화를 억제하였다. 지방전구세포의 분화를 억제하는 물질 중 유근피, 약쑥, 호장근, 후박 4종은 우수한 항산화 효능도 동시에 가지고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해, 본 실험에서 확보된 추출물이 항비만 물질로 사용될 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다.

        The objective of this study is analysis of Andong-Dam lake water quality with water quality model. Model parameters of the WASP applied to Lake Andong-Dam were estimated. The methodology is based on grouping water quality constituents and relevant parameters and successively estimating parameters by a trial-and-error procedure. Water quality system for modeling consisted of BOD, DO, T-N, T-P. The results of water quality modelling using WASP. T-N was maximum affected by K71C(Organic nitrogen mineralization rate) parameter. T-P was maximum affected by K83C(Dissolved organic phosphorus mineralization) parameter, and It did not show a difference almost from the parameter of others and it omitted. BOD was maximum affected by Temperature parameter, it was visible of the reaction due to the KDC(Deoxygenation rate) in afterwords, and It did not show a difference from the parameter of others and it omitted. DO was maximum affect by Temperature parameter, and It did not show a difference almost from the parameter of others and it omitted. The parameter which it presumes from the this study uses a water quality modeling and Actual value and the result with which it compares, error rate the parameter presumption which is appropriate with 1% interior and exterior is investigated, It will reach and it uses and it will be able to apply to the suitable parameter in water quality modelling of the objective area which can be feeded by it becomes.

        Tactile sensation is one of the most important sensory functions for human perception of objects. Recently, there have been many technical challenges in the field of tactile display as well as tactile sensing. In this paper, we propose an innovative tactile display device based on soft actuator technology with ElectroActive Polymer(EAP). This device offers advantageous features over existing devices with respect to intrinsic flexibility, softness, ease of fabrication and miniaturization, high power density, and cost effectiveness. In particular, it can be adapted to various geometric configurations because it possesses structural flexibility, so it can be worn on any part of the human body such as finger, palm, and arm etc. It can be extensively applied as a wearable tactile display, a Braille device for the visually disabled, and a human interface in the future. A new design of the flexible actuator is proposed and its basic operational principles are discussed. In addition, a wearable tactile display device with 4x5 actuator array(20 actuator cells) is developed and its effectiveness is confirmed

        The strength, water permeability, and photo-degradation efficiency of NOx of porous concrete with a new concept were studied in this paper. The porous concrete was comprised of coarse aggregate of maximum size 40 mm, cement, silica fume, water and air-entraining(AE) water reducing agent. The strength of porous concrete was strongly related to its matrix proportion and compaction energy. An experimental test was carried out to study the parameters of cement proportions and silica fume content for pavement applications of porous concrete which were paving a footpath, a bikeway, a parking lot, and a driveway. The regressed equations of relationships between compressive strength and flexural strength, and coefficient permeability and void ratios were indicated as y=7.69x+71.74 and y=0.42e0.28x. A method of making an air purification-functioning road, which was spraying a mixture of a photocatalyst, cement, and water onto the surface of the road, was suggested.

        호남평야지에서 고품질 쌀 생산을 위한 품종별 적정 수확시기를 검토하기 위하여 2002~~2004 년에 평야지인 익산에서 조생종인 삼천벼, 중생종인 화성벼, 중만생종인 남평벼를 공시하여 시험을 수행하였는데, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 등숙비율은 삼천벼는 출수 후 50~~55 일, 화성벼 55~~60 일, 남평벼 60일 이후수확에서 높았고 현미천립중은 삼천벼는 출수 후 50~~55 일, 화성벼 55일, 남평벼 55~~60 일 수확에서 무거웠다. 2. 쌀 수량은 삼천벼는 출수 후 45~~50 일, 화성벼 50~~55 일, 남평벼 55~~60 일 수확에서 많았다. 3. 완전미 수량은 삼천벼는 출수 후 45일, 화성벼 50일, 남평벼 55~~60 일 수확에서 많았다. 4. 따라서 호남평야지에서 완전미 수량, 쌀 품위, 단백질 함량, Toyo 식미치 등을 고려한 수확적기는 삼천벼는 출수 후 52일(적산온도 1,213℃ ), 화성벼는 출수 후 56일(1,221℃) , 남평벼는 출수 후 60일(1,207℃) 경으로 생각된다.

        호남평야지에서 고품질 쌀 생산을 위한 적정 이앙시기를 구명하고자 2002~~2004년까지 시험한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 가. 단위면적당 영화수는 생태형에 관계없이 5월 30일 이앙에서 가장 많았다. 나. 등숙비율은 삼천벼와 남평벼는 5월 30일~~6월 9일 이앙에서 높았고 화성벼는 5월 30일 이후 이앙에서 높았다. 다. 완전미 수량은 생태형에 관계없이 6월 9일 이앙에서 가장 많았다. 라. 완전미 수량, 등숙비율, 미질 등을 고려한 이앙적기는 조생종과 중생종은 5월 30일~~6월 19일, 중만생종은 5월 30일~~6월 9일이었다.

        This study aimed at improving the TiO2 photocatalytic degradation of HA. ·In this study, the Degradation of Humic Acid using Jeju Scoria Coated with WO3/TiO2 in the presence of UV irradiation was investigated as a function of different experimental condition : photocatalyst dosage, Ca2+ and HCO3- addition and pH of the solution. Photodegradation efficiency increased with increasing photocatalyst dosage, the optimum catalyst dosage is 2.5 g/L and Photodegradation efficiency is maximized to WO3/TiO2=3/7. This indicates that WO3 retains a much higher Lewis surface acidity than TiO2, and WO3 has a higher affinity for chemical species having unpaired electrons. The addtion of cation(Ca2+) in water increased the photodegradaion efficiency. But the addtion of HCO3- ion in water decreased a photodegradation efficiency. Photodegradation efficiency increased with decreasing pH. At pH < pzc, the electrostatic repulsion between the HA and the surface of TiO2 decreased.

        To identify the characteristics of wastewater flow generated in treatment basins of Seogwipo-city, we selected 3 stations representing the basin and performed 7 times of field survey including 5 times in dry periods and 2 times in wet periods from Feb. 25 to May 27, 2002 for the selected stations. From the analysis of flow data measured for more than 60 days in the interval of 5 minutes and concentration data obtained from laboratory analysis, we can draw several conclusions. First, in the analysis of diumal variation of wastewater flow for land-use types, we could find the following results: in the residential area, it is observed that wastewater flow rates rise early in the morning for the office-going hour and fall gradually and rise again after the office-leaving hour, showing typical residential wastewater flow pattern, while for the residential and commercial area flow rates rise early in the morning at the office-going hour and move up and down repeatedly within wide range and last till the office-leaving hour, which can be resulted from wastewater that is generated by tourists activated after early in the afternoon, while for the touristy area flow rates rise early in the morning and fall gradually and rise again within wide range. Second, in the analysis of temporal variation of wastewater flow for monthly, it can be observed that in the residential area, in the residential and commercial areas the flow rate of May is higher than that of Feb., March, while for the touristy area flow rate is without monthly because it reflects the movement of population, Third, in wet periods concentration of water-quality item such as SS, BOD, and CODCr is high in the beginning of rainfall by first flush, and falls down gradually to reach the steady state, which is the level of wastewater in dry periods after the cease of storm water due to diluting effect resulting from additional runoff water through storm sewers.
