        Purpose: This study explored teachers’ experiences of practicing character education focusing on Juingonggwanbeop in elementary schools. The goal was to provide universal Juingong-gwanbeop character education programs for schools. Methods: This study used one-on-one in-depth interviews to collect data from teachers working at different elementary schools regarding their character education experiences. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: 5 themes and 16 sub-themes were derived from the analysis. The five themes included “Starting Juingong-gwanbeop character education for various reasons”, “Feeling joy when seeing students changing through Juingong-gwanbeop character education”, “Difficulties in managing Juingong-gwanbeop character education”, “Development and dissemination of standardized Juingong-gwanbeop character education programs”. Conclusion: The findings showed that both students and teachers experienced positive changes and growth in their school lives through Juingong-gwanbeop character education. The participants expressed a strong desire to develop universal programs and materials for teachers who have not been exposed to Juingong-gwanbeop.

        Purpose: This study aimed to explore the experiences of instructors who participated in and operated a parent education program utilizing the Juingong-gwan practice at the H Science Institute, and to understand the meaning and essence of this program. Methods: This study employed a qualitative content analysis. In-depth individual interviews were conducted with six instructors who participated in the parental education program at H Science Institute. Data were collected over three months from July to September 2023. Results: Seven main themes were identified from the instructors’ experiences in the parent education program at the H Science Institute. The main themes include “Participation with various motivations,” “The essense of parent education: team discussions,” “Feeling compassion and responsibility,” “Challenges in creating lectures,” “Realizing the possibility of mutual change,” “Growth and Transformation through instructor and helper roles,” and “Hope to spread awareness.” Conclusion: This study confirmed that the parent education program utilizing the Juingong-gwan practice at H Science Institute promotes positive changes for both parents and instructors. It also suggests the need for program development, including the use of online platforms, the introduction of step-by-step advanced courses, the provision of follow-up programs, and the expansion of programs that support both teachers and parents.

        Purpose: The study aim was to explore the meaning of male nursing students’ experiences in women’s health nursing practicum through photovoice and focus group interviews. Ways to improve the conditions and quality of practicum education for women’s health nurses were explored. Methods: The participants were eight senior male nursing students who had completed a women’s health nursing practicum. They captured topic-specific photos depicting their experiences in a women’s health nursing practicum through the photovoice method and conducted focus group interviews using the PHOTO strategy to explore the meanings behind the photos. The final data were analyzed using a content analysis. Results: The male nursing students’ experiences in the women’s health nursing practicum produced five themes: “The untraveled Way.”, “Role conflicts amid indifference.”, “Opportunities that never come.”, “Unable to overcome gender barrier.”, and “The time of perseverance and hope.”, These five themes were accompanied by 13 sub-themes. Conclusion: Though initially apprehensive, the study participants engaged in women’s health nursing practices with excitement and anticipation. Despite experiencing discrimination and role conflict due to gender differences, they discovered opportunities for growth through a simulation practicum. Anticipating personal development from their experiences, they desired a future in which male nurses would be recognized solely as nurses, without gender distinctions. Efforts are required to enhance awareness and organizational culture and prevent discrimination based on gender differences. Comprehensive endeavors are necessary for enhancing the quality of clinical practice education by developing and validating women’s health nursing practicum programs covering diverse topics.

        이 연구에서는 노인스마트폰활용교육 프로그램이 대학생의 노인에 대한 태도 변화에 미치는 효과 를 분석하였다 대학생과 노인 각각 명을 대상으로 . 20 11회기의 노인스마트폰활용교육 프로그램을 적 용한 다음, 비모수 집단의 Wilcoxon 결합-조 기호-순위검증을 통해 효과를 검증하였다. 대학생의 노 인에 대한 태도 사전검사와 사후검사 간에 통계적으로 의미있는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나서, 노인스 마트폰활용교육 프로그램은 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 검증되었다. 노인스마트폰활용교육 프로그램은 노인과 대학생들이 상호작용하는 과정을 통해 대학생들로 하여 금 노인에 대한 태도 개선을 돕는 효과적인 프로그램임이 규명되었다. 본 연구는 대학생들을 대상으로 노인에 부정적인 태도를 긍정적인 태도로 변화시키는 데 노인스마트폰활용교육 프로그램이 효과가 있 음을 실증적으로 검증해 보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

        본 연구에서는 20∼50대 성인 여성을 대상으로 SNS를 통한 네일샵의 활용실태 및 SNS 정보 신뢰도와 네일샵 선택요인에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, SNS를 통한 효과적인 홍보를 통하여 고객 만족과 충성고객 확보 및 네일업계의 경영전략에 기여 하고자 연구를 진행하였다. 설문 조사는 SNS를 사용하며 네일샵을 이용해 본 20∼50대 성인 여성을 대상으로 최종 403부를 분석하여 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 일반 적 특성에 따른 SNS를 통한 네일샵의 이용실태에서는 각 요인에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, SNS를 통한 네일샵 이용실태에 따른 정보 신뢰도와 SNS 네일샵 선택요인, 네일샵 SNS 활용에 따른 SNS 정보 신뢰도, 네일샵 선택요인에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, SNS 정보 신뢰도가 SNS를 통한 네 일샵 선택요인에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 네일샵 경영전략 수립을 위한 마케팅의 기초 자료 및 네일샵을 이용하는 소비자들의 만족도를 높여 네일 미용 시장의 활성화에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이 다.

        Abstract Handling imbalanced datasets in binary classification, especially in employment big data, is challenging. Traditional methods like oversampling and undersampling have limitations. This paper integrates TabNet and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to address class imbalance. The generator creates synthetic samples for the minority class, and the discriminator, using TabNet, ensures authenticity. Evaluations on benchmark datasets show significant improvements in accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score for the minority class, outperforming traditional methods. This integration offers a robust solution for imbalanced datasets in employment big data, leading to fairer and more effective predictive models.

        STCW 협약 A-VI에 의거, 승선 필수 증서를 발급받기 위해 소화 과정 최저 훈련 이수를 거치게 되는 공간이 수소화 훈련장 이다. 선박 화재의 상황과 유사한 장소에서 발생한 화재 진압 훈련을 위한 실습 장소의 특성상, 재실자의 안전을 보장할 수 있는 운영 을 위해 안전성을 수치화하여 평가하고 기준을 수립하는 연구의 필요성이 대두되었다. 화재 안전 평가를 위해 FDS를 기반으로 한 Pyrosim을 활용하여 제연설비 유무에 따른 Case를 설정, vector의 분석을 통한 연기 유동 및 열기에 대한 평가를 수행하였다. 피난 안전 평가는 Pathfinder를 통해 허용 피난시간, 총 피난시간을 수치화된 결과로 해석, 비교하여 안전성을 분석하였다. 각 Case에 대한 안전성 을 평가함으로 제연설비별 기능의 적정성을 수치, 시각적으로 나타내었으며, 현재 운영 상태는 안전성이 양호한 것으로 평가하였다. 집 진설비가 정지한 비상상황은 각 피난시간과 111.2초의 여유시간으로 나타내어 수소화 훈련장의 비상상황에 대한 피난시간의 기준으로 활용할 것을 제시하였다.

        This study aimed to quantify changes in forest cover and carbon storage of Korean Peninsular during the last two decades by integrating field measurement, satellite remote sensing, and modeling approaches. Our analysis based on 30-m Landsat data revealed that the forested area in Korean Peninsular had diminished significantly by 478,334 ha during the period of 2000-2019, with South Korea and North Korea contributing 51.3% (245,725 ha) and 48.6% (232,610 ha) of the total change, respectively. This comparable pattern of forest loss in both South Korea and North Korea was likely due to reduced forest deforestation and degradation in North Korea and active forest management activity in South Korea. Time series of above ground biomass (AGB) in the Korean Peninsula showed that South and North Korean forests increased their total AGB by 146.4 Tg C (AGB at 2020=357.9 Tg C) and 140.3 Tg C (AGB at 2020=417.4 Tg C), respectively, during the last two decades. This could be translated into net AGB increases in South and North Korean forests from 34.8 and 29.4 Mg C ha-1 C to 58.9(+24.1) and 44.2(+14.8) Mg C ha-1, respectively. It indicates that South Korean forests are more productive during the study period. Thus, they have sequestered more carbon. Our approaches and results can provide useful information for quantifying national scale forest cover and carbon dynamics. Our results can be utilized for supporting forest restoration planning in North Korea.

        The objective of this study is to analyze the indoor air quality of multi-use facilities using an IoT-based monitoring and control system. Thise study aims to identify effective management strategies and propose policy improvements. This research focused on 50 multi-use facilities, including daycare centers, medical centers, and libraries. Data on PM10, PM2.5, CO2, temperature, and humidity were collected 24 hours a day from June 2019 to April 2020. The analysis included variations in indoor air quality by season, hour, and day of the week (including both weekdays and weekends). Additionally, ways to utilize IoT monitoring systems using big data were propsed. The reliability analysis of the IoT monitoring network showed an accuracy of 81.0% for PM10 and 76.1% for PM2.5. Indoor air quality varied significantly by season, with higher particulate matter levels in winter and spring, and slightly higher levels on weekends compared to weekdays. There was a positive correlation found between outdoor and indoor pollutant levels. Indoor air quality management in multi-use facilities requires season-specific strategies, particularly during the winter and spring. Furhtermore, enhanced management is necessary during weekends due to higher pollutant levels.

        PURPOSES : This study presents an application plan for parking spaces for shared e-scooters using the clearance widths of sidewalks. The detailed purposes are as follows: firstly, to present appropriate spaces for installing parking lots for shared E-scooters. Secondly, to derive the specifications of parking unit spaces for shared E-scooters. Thirdly, to derive the formula for calculating the parking angle of shared E-scooters. Lastly, to provide examples of calculating the parking angle using the derived formula. METHODS : Based on the literature review, appropriate locations for installing parking spaces for shared E-scooters on sidewalks were proposed. We also investigated design factors based on a literature review to derive the specifications of parking unit spaces for shared E-scooters, and utilized the geometric characteristics of clearance widths of sidewalks to derive a formula for calculating the parking angle. Finally, we provide examples of calculating the parking angle for shared E-scooters using the derived formula. RESULTS : The results of this study are as follows. We proposed clearance widths of sidewalks as appropriate spaces for installing parking spaces for shared E-scooters. Next, we derived the specifications of parking unit spaces for shared E-scooters considering anthropometric measurements, specifications of shared E-scooters, and clearance dimensions. Moreover, we derived a formula for calculating the parking angle of shared E-scooters considering clearance widths of sidewalks. Finally, we presented examples of calculating the parking angle for shared E-scooter parking unit spaces based on clearance widths of sidewalks. CONCLUSIONS : It was concluded that the application for parking spaces for shared e-scooters using the clearance widths of sidewalks was presented. We derived the standard and compact specifications of parking unit spaces for shared E-scooters, and provided foundational data for estimating the parking capacity using a formula for calculating the parking angle of shared E-scooters. Future research directions include presenting case studies of estimating parking capacity using the parking angle of shared E-scooters.

        Since 2010, the Odor Prevention Act has identified and regulated four types of fatty acids as substances that cause odors. Four types of fatty acids are contributors to odor pollution and are sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. However, the current analysis method has several limitations, including dependency on the timing of sampling before and after the procedure, as well as dependency on the specific analysis method employed. The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of the ion chromatography analysis method by utilizing ultrapure distilled water as a means to improve the current approach. Initially, the analysis system underwent a quality assessment. The results indicated a linearity (R2) of 0.99, a limit of 10 nmol/mol or lower, supporting the conclusion that it is suitable. Furthermore, the investigation focused on the substance’s tendency to change over time in ultrapure water and under alkali absorption (0.01N NaOH). At a concentration of 0.95 ng (low-concentration standard sample), the confirmed peak area values ranged from 0.0004 μg/min to 0.0010 μg/min, resulting in an injection variation of approximately ± 0.001. At 23.7 ng (high-concentration standard sample), the peak area value fluctuated between 0.008 μg/min and 0.013 μg/ min, with an average of ± 0.002. Therefore, storing the material at temperatures below 4°C for up to 3 days (72 hours) after manufacturing seemed to facilitate the optimal conditions for maintaining its stability without significant changes taking place. Finally, blank samples from the laboratory, equipment, and site were analyzed. Out of the four substances analyzed, only n-butyl acid was detected in all three background samples. It was confirmed that it represented 4% of the peak area in the 4.94 ng standard sample.

        This study utilizes association rule learning and clustering analysis to explore the co-occurrence and relationships within ecosystems, focusing on the endangered brackish-water snail Clithon retropictum, classified as Class II endangered wildlife in Korea. The goal is to analyze co-occurrence patterns between brackish-water snails and other species to better understand their roles within the ecosystem. By examining co-occurrence patterns and relationships among species in large datasets, association rule learning aids in identifying significant relationships. Meanwhile, K-means and hierarchical clustering analyses are employed to assess ecological similarities and differences among species, facilitating their classification based on ecological characteristics. The findings reveal a significant level of relationship and co-occurrence between brackish-water snails and other species. This research underscores the importance of understanding these relationships for the conservation of endangered species like C. retropictum and for developing effective ecosystem management strategies. By emphasizing the role of a data-driven approach, this study contributes to advancing our knowledge on biodiversity conservation and ecosystem health, proposing new directions for future research in ecosystem management and conservation strategies.

        This study examined the spatial morphological patterns of forest habitats and the characteristics of roadkill occurrences in the forests of Mungyeong, Yecheon, Yeongju, Andong, and Bonghwa in Gyeongsangbuk-do. It involved building a resistance map between habitats and analyzing connectivity based on the least-cost distance. The analysis of the distance between the forest habitat Cores derived from MSPA and roadkill points showed that roadkill occurrences were concentrated approximately 74.11 m away from the Cores, with most roadkills happening within 360 m from the habitats. The connectivity analysis between core habitats larger than 1 km2 revealed 141 core habitats and 242 least-cost paths between them. The corridor distance value was found to be highest in Mungyeong city, indicating an urgent need for strategies to enhance habitat connectivity there. This research is expected to serve as foundational data for developing strategies to enhance ecosystem connectivity and restore habitats, by analyzing ecosystem connectivity and roadkill issues due to habitat fragmentation.

        지표면조도는 건축구조물에 작용하는 풍속과 난류강도의 연직분포에 중대한 영향을 미칠 수 있다. KDS 2022에서 지표면조 도구분은 목안측정법으로 판정되고 두 가지 이상의 지표면조도가 혼재되어 있는 경우 중간상태의 지표면조도구분을 적용해야 한다. 이런 접근법은 엔지니어의 주관적인 판단에 의존하여 풍하중 산정의 불확실성을 유발할 수 있다. 이런 문제들을 해결하기 위해 본 연 구에서는 환경부가 제공한 토지피복지도를 활용하였으며, 지표면상태가 혼재되어 있는 경우 ESDU의 경계층 이론에 따라 유효한 바 람의 연직분포를 생성하였다. 토지피복지도를 활용하여 대표적인 10개 지역의 지표면상태를 구분하였으며, KDS, ISO 그리고 ESDU 에 따른 판정법에 의해 결정된 지표면조도구분을 비교하였다.

        This study analyzes students’ use of ChatGPT prompts to explore its potential as a supplementary feedback tool in English writing classes. Thirty-one pre-service teachers participated and were divided into high, middle, and low groups based on their self-evaluation, standardized test scores, and essay scores prior to receiving ChatGPT feedback. The data sources included their two essays, ChatGPT prompts, questionnaires, and transcripts from the second writing conference. The ChatGPT prompts and questionnaires were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the writing conference transcripts were examined to understand the participants’ use of prompts. The results showed participants used prompts 40 times in the first assignment and 175 times in the second assignment. The average prompt usage increased from 1.5 times in the first assignment to 6.7 times in the second assignment. In terms of students’ levels, the high group used more prompts (5.58 times) than the middle (5 times) and the low groups (1.75 times). Notably, students who used ChatGPT commands five times or more were mostly from the high and middle groups. Differences in prompt usage patterns were also identified, with the high and middle groups engaging in more continuous and interactive conversations with ChatGPT. Students expressed satisfaction with ChatGPT’s feedback, particularly in vocabulary selection, grammar correction, and sentence generation.

        PURPOSES : The tire-pavement interaction noise (TPIN) comprises four sources, among which the tire tread vibration noise (TTVN) and air pumping noise (APN) are known to be the most influential. However, when evaluating TPIN, the noise level is estimated based on the overall noise, because general noise measurement methods cannot separate TTVN and APN. Therefore, this study aims to develop a method to separate TTVN and APN in TPIN for quantitative assessment of pavement noise. METHODS : Based on the results of our literature review and frequency band noise data measured in our study, we identified the dominant frequency ranges for TTVN and APN. Additionally, we evaluated TTVN and APN across various pavement types. RESULTS : TTVN was found to be dominant in frequency bands below 800 Hz, while APN was dominant in frequency bands above 800 Hz. Additionally, regardless of the vehicle type, vehicle speed, or pavement type, APN exhibited higher levels compared to TTVN. This result shows that APN has a more significant impact on TPIN than TTVN. CONCLUSIONS : The separation method of TTVN and APN proposed in this study can be utilized to quantitatively assess the relationship between the primary noise sources in TPIN and the characteristics of pavement texture in future research. Furthermore, it is anticipated that characteristics of low TPIN and optimal texture conditions can be proposed to mitigate TPIN, thus contributing to the development of lownoise pavements.
