        β-Tricalcium phosphate (TCP) was added to Al2O3 to make a biomaterial with good mechanical properties. Using a TCP powder synthesized by a polymer complexation method, Al2O3 composites containing 30 wt% TCP were fabricated and characterized for densification, phase, microstructure, strength, and fracture toughness. With optimizing the powder preparation conditions, a high densification of 97 % was obtained by sintering at 1350 ℃ for 2 h. No reaction between the two components occurred and there was no transition to α-TCP. TCP grains with a size of 2-4 μm were well surrounded by Al2O3 grains with a size of 1 μm or less. Strength 61(Brazilian) or 187(3-p MOR) MPa, and fracture toughness 1.7 (notched beam) or 2.5 (indentation) MPa·m1/2 were obtained, which are large improvements over the strength of TCP/Al2O3 composites and toughness of TCP and hydroxyapatite in previous studies.

        Three kinds of STS304-Zr alloys were fabricated by varying the Zr content, and their microstructure and fracture properties were analyzed. Moreover, we performed heat treatment to improve their properties and studied their microstructure and fracture properties. The microstructure of the STS304-Zr alloys before and after the heat treatment process consisted of α-Fe and intermetallics: Zr(Cr, Ni, Fe)2 and Zr6Fe23. The volume fraction of the intermetallics increased with an increasing Zr content. The 11Zr specimen exhibited the lowest hardness and fine dimples and cleavage facets in a fractured surface. The 15Zr specimen had high hardness and fine cleavage facets. The 19Zr specimen had the highest hardness and large cleavage facets. After the heat treatment process, the intermetallics were spheroidized and their volume fraction increased. In addition, the specimens after the heat treatment process, the Laves phase (Zr(Cr, Ni, Fe) 2) decreased, the Zr6Fe23 phase increased and the Ni concentration in the intermetallics decreased. The hardness of all the specimens after the heat treatment process decreased because of the dislocations and residual stresses in α-Fe, and the fine lamellar shaped eutectic microstructures changed into large α-Fe and spheroidized intermetallics. The cleavage facet size increased because of the decomposition of the fine lamellarshaped eutectic microstructures and the increase in spheroidized intermetallics.

        The aim of this paper is to clarify the structural stability of 30m fly(maximum working radius of 30m) and telescopic boom with composition. In order to reduce the weight and insulate, the boom of special vehicle has a 3-stage telescopic boom of DOMEX960, pocket part of acetal, 2-stage refracting boom of ATOS80, insulation boom of glass fiber composition and effector. In this process, CATIA is applied to create 3D modeling, then ANSYS are performed the structural analysis. The structural analysis is performed for a case where the thickness of the insulating boom of the ATOS 80 is 7[㎜] and the thickness of the insulating boom of the FRP material is 15[㎜] and 16[㎜].

        The non-reacting flow field and the movement of sand particles inside a 30MW circulating fluidized bed combustor is numerically simulated via the finite volume method. The primary air is supplied through 23x23 array of nozzles located on the bottom and the secondary air is supplied through 12 inlet pipes located on the side walls. The steady state velocity field shows that a very complex flow pattern is formed in the lower part of the combustor. As the gas moves upward, the velocity magnitude decreases and the gas exits the combustor after hitting the top wall. To investigate the behavior of sand particles with different diameters, a particle tracking calculation is performed by introducing sand particles continuously at the z=3 m plane. For the given air flow rate condition, sand particles smaller than 0.3 mm show a complex movement pattern near the secondary air inlet and then rise toward the outlet.

        The study purpose was to investigate the jacket-fit satisfaction level of men in their 20s and 30s, using body-scanning data and a questionnaire. Thirty-five men were scanned using a 3D body scanner. The participants were divided into three groups (Small, Medium, and Large) based on their chest-circumference measurement. Their levels of satisfaction with the fit of their tailored jacket were compared by group. Chest, waist, and hip circumferences increased substantially as group size increased. The M-group was mostly satisfied with all body-site views. The S-group was especially dissatisfied with height, back width, waist circumference, and upper-arm circumference. The L-group was especially dissatisfied with waist circumference and hip circumference. The majority of the participants preferred the jacket closely fitted to their body. More than half of the participants thought finding a jacket of suitable size was difficult. When purchasing ready-to-wear jackets, the S-group and the M-group considered shoulder width important, while the L-group considered chest circumference the most important area. When evaluating the fit of ready-to-wear jackets, the L-group evaluated chest circumference, back width, and waist circumference as poor fits. The M-group evaluated sleeve length and shoulder width as poor fits, and the S-group agreed with respect to sleeve length. Body-satisfaction levels and matching jacket-satisfaction levels differed by body-size group, as did areas that need improvement. The conclusion is that size-group analysis using 3D body scanning can be utilized effectively for jacket-fit analysis. The findings of the current study can be applied to improving jacket fit among young male consumers.

        The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of the information searches and purchasing behavior Korean men in their 20s and 30s, focusing on cosmetic involvement. Research methods consisted of qualitative and quantitative approaches. For the qualitative approach, in-depth interviews and participant observations were conducted to investigate male customers' cosmetic characteristics in information searches and purchasing behavior. Then, the study conducted a quantitative study methodology based on the questionnaires from the in-depth interviews, participant observations, and literature review. The study surveyed 340 Korean men in their 20s and 30s. The cosmetic involvement of the target group was classified into the amusing high-involvement group, the rational low-involvement group, and the obligatory high-involvement group. The results from this study indicated that the groups of male customers classified by cosmetic involvement showed statistically significant differences in terms of information searches and purchasing behaviors. Especially, the obligatory high-involvement group generally displayed high-involvement traits likewise the amusing highinvolvement, was more similar to the rational low-involvement group regarding cost effectiveness than the obligatory high-involvement group. Moreover, the classifications of men generally had different characteristics of cosmetic purchasing behavior and information searches than women. This study has a distinctive significance compared with other studies in discovering differences of cosmetic purchasing behaviors of Korean men in their 20s and 30s’ cosmetic involvement groups classified using qualitative and quantitative approaches.

        이 논문은 최근의 시인들이 농민과 농업, 그리고 농촌에 대해 얼마나 관심을 가지고 작품에 표현하는가 에 대한 경향을 탐구해보는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 오늘날 한국의 농촌은 갈수록 점점 심각한 상황에 처 하고 있다. 사회적 상황이 악화되면, 제일 먼저 시인의 감각에 포착된다고 말해왔다. 그래서 시인을 두 고 ‘시대의 안테나’라고 말하는 것이다. 그런데 최근 시인들의 작품을 보면 농촌에 대한 관심을 보이는 작품들이 충분하지 않다. 농촌을 먹을거리를 생산하는 곳으로만 생각하면 안 될 일이다. 도시인들의 정 서회복의 장소는 결국 농촌이 될 것인데, 농촌의 환경마저도 결코 건강하지 않은 상황이다. 시인들까지 도 제가 먹고 있는 것들의 근원이 어디이고, 근본이 어떠한가에 대한 관심을 갖지 않는다면 사람들을 절 실하게 각성시킬 방법이 없다. 현대시의 논의에서 비평가들은 농민이 직접 쓰는 시를 적극적으로 옹호 하고, 농촌을 소재로 한 시들을 평범한 것으로 취급한다. 이데올로기가 들어있지 않은 ‘농민시’는 강력한 힘을 가지지 못한다는 이유에서다. ‘농촌시’를 평범한 것으로 평가하지 말아야 한다. 소재주의에 빠질 염려가 있다고 해서 ‘농촌시’를 배격해왔는데, 이제는 그런 부류의 시마저도 충분하지 않기 때문이다. ‘농민시’를 고집하지 말고, 농촌의 현실을 절실하게 각성시킬 수 있는 작품들은 어떤 것이든 소중히 여겨야 할 것이다. 농촌시의 본보기가 될 시인들, 예컨대 신경림, 김용택 등이 있다. 이들의 시를 ‘농민시’ 또는 ‘농촌시’로 한정지을 수는 없다. 이들의 시는 농촌에 대한 관심과 성찰을 갖게 한다. 이들의 시는 ‘농민시’와 ‘농촌시’를 차별하는 않아야 한다는 것을 터득하게 한다. 소외된 농촌에 필요한 이데올로기를 담은 ‘농민시’도 필요하지만, 문학적으로 봤을 때 다양한 시대정신을 가진 ‘농촌시’도 더욱 풍성해져야 할 것으로 보인다.

        As the national income grows, there is a growing demand for buildings that require long span structures such as exhibition facilities, sports facilities, special industrial facilities, and aerospace facilities. Single-layer latticed dome is one of representative llong span structures. But single layer latticed domes are apt to occur the unstable phenomena that are called “buckling” because of the lack of strength of members and instability of structures, etc. In the previous study, the structural stability of a single-layer lattice dome was roughly grasped by a frame structural system using a ready-made steel when a self-weight and a snow load were applied to a single-layer latticed dome having a span of 300 m and a height of 75 m. However, a systematic study of a 300m single layer lattice dome with various rise-span ratios was not performed. Therefore, it is necessary to study various conditions of this structure because the researchers do not have much research data to apply to actual design. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to verify the buckling characteristics of span 300M single-layer latticed dome with rise-span ratio

        In recent years, single layer latticed domes have attracted many designers and researchers’s attention all over the world, because single layer latticed domes as space structure are of great advantage in not only mechanical rationality but also function, fabrication, construction and economic aspect. Yamada developed the shape factor S which represents the shape of spherical latticed dome from a structural perspective as well as a geometric perspective. According to a prior study, the structural behavior and the buckling characteristics of the latticed dome were mostly noticeable when the shape factor of latticed dome was in the range of 1.5 to 5. That is, S, in the range of 1.5 to 5, are able to estimate not only overall buckling, but also member buckling and nodal buckling. In this study, we developed shape models using various size of members with the fixed rise-span ratio. One particular characteristic of the latticed dome is that it is not only light in weight but also high in strength. But the aiming at the use of light-weight materials and at the minimized section of members may result in buckling to cause an unstable state of the overall structure when the external force reaches a limitation. Especially, the structural strength is disadvantageous to the snow loads than the earthquake loads because of light-weight, and is greatly affected by the conditions of loading. This paper is to develop the structural stability according to the shapes and load conditions for single-layer latticed spherical dome with 300m span.

        Medical mushroom, Phellinus linteus (PL) called as “Sanghwang” has been studied extensively for its extraordinary capacity of suppressing cancer or enhancing body immunity. The mycelial materials of PL have mainly been used as research samples worldwide because its fruiting body was difficult to artificially produce. Alternatively, P. baumii (variety, “Jangsu”) have stably been cultivated in Korea. However, fruiting body morphology of P. baumii is clearly different to that of PL. Of Phellinus isolates collected in Korea, P. linteus, KACC 93057P having features of fast mycelial growth rate was mycologically characterized. This study is to establish artificial cultivation of P. linteus KACC93057P having high mycelial growth rate and to examine bioactive efficacy of its fruiting body. The grain spawn of P linteus KACC93057P was inoculated on oak and mulberry logs (20 cm). The optimum temperature for the mycelial growth was at 25-30°C and growth was optimal at pH 5-7. The mycelial growth of P. linteus was faster than P. baumii and other P. linteus isolates. The mushroom pinning was observed on the 60 days after the inoculation, and fruiting bodies were formed in more than 90% of the logs after 6 months. The productivity fruiting body on the logs was more than 10 times that of the existing P. linteus (Korean Sanhwang). The fruiting bodies showed typical morphologies of P. linteus. The pore shape in basidiocarp is circular with 5-7 per mm, hyphal system is dimity, and basidiospores are ellipsoid. Bioactive efficacy of the fruiting bodies was analyzed by immunoreactivity and antioxidant activity.

        We have previously shown that the specific phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase inhibitor LY294002 (LY29), and its inactive analog LY303511 (LY30), inhibit a monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) expression in human umbilical vein endothelial cells; these results suggest the potential of LY30 as an anti-inflammatory drug. In this study, we determined the effects of LY30 on the production of various inflammatory cytokines in human macrophagic THP-1 cells which were stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). LY30 selectively suppressed the mRNA expression of IL-12 p40, TNF-α, and MCP-1 without affecting the expression of IL-1α, IL-6, and IL-8. Inhibition of the production of IL-12 and TNF-α by LY30 was also demonstrated using ELISA assays. In order to elucidate the mechanisms of the action of LY30, we examined the role played by the mitogen-activated protein kinases and the key transcription factors, AP-1 and NF-κB in LPS-stimulated THP-1 cells. The results revealed that LY30 inhibited LPS-induced activation of ERK, but not p38 or JNK. Furthermore, the AP-1 DNA binding activity was suppressed by LY30 based upon the dosage, whereas NF-κB DNA binding was not affected. These results suggest that LY30 selectively inhibits cytokine production in the LPS-stimulated macrophagic THP-1 cells by downregulating the activation of ERK and AP-1.

        본 연구에서는 P300 숨긴정보검사에서 관련자극과 무관련자극에 대한 버튼 반응 여부가 P300 진폭과 거짓말 탐지 정확률에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 실험참가자들은 두 가지 조건에서 P300 숨긴정보검사를 받았다. 일반응 조건에서는 실험참가자들에게 목표자극이 제시될 때에만 마우스 왼쪽 버튼을 누르도록 지시하였으며, 양반응 조건에서는 제시되는 자극이 목표자극이면 마우스 왼쪽 버튼을 누르고 목표자극이 아니면 마우스 오른쪽 버튼을 누르도록 하였다. 실험 결과, 목표자극에 대한 반응시간은 두 조건에서 유의하게 다르지 않았으며, 양반응 조건에서 관련자극에 대한 반응시간은 무관련자극에 대한 반응시간보다 유의하게 더 길었다. 관련자극에 대한 P300 진폭과 무관련자극에 대한 P300 진폭은 모두 양반응 조건에 비교하여 일반응 조건에서 더 작았다. 그러나 관련자극과 무관련자극 간의 P300 진폭 차이는 두 실험조건에서 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았으며, 거짓말 탐지율도 두 조건 간에 큰 차이가 없었다. 이러한 결과에 근거하여 버튼 반응이 자극 간 제시간격이 짧은 P300 숨긴정보검사에 미치는 영향을 논의하였다.
