        This study was to investigate the effects of upper and lower limb composing patterns of PNF(proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) on the static balance ability by 20 subjects for 6 weeks. This study was measured left one leg standing and right one leg standing with closed eyes on Good Balance system. These results led us to the conclusion that the mean speed of X, Y direction, COP(center of Pressure) velocity moment showed a statistical decrease when applying post-exercise. The above results from this study indicated that upper and lower limb composing patterns of PNF exercise has improved the static balance ability. As a result, this study showed that upper and lower limb composing patterns exercise improve the ability of balance in young adults. Based on this study, it may be applied to old people.

        The purpose of this research was to investigate the transition of the concept and meaning of "bulgogi". "Bulgogi" is a representative Korean food and is also a global menu item. The first dictionary that presented the word "bulgogi" was the Keunsajeon (big dictionary). The results of an analysis of 17 dictionaries published in the last 60 years showed the immutable definition of "neobiani" as seasoned and broiled beef. In contrast, "bulgogi" has been termed differently, from "simply grilled meat of an animal" to the same meaning as that of "neobiani". Furthermore, to define the difference between common grilled meat in modern versus present time, a review of 26 cookery books from Sieuijeanseo, written in late 1800, to The Taste of Korea, written in 1987, were selected and examined. To date, the first appearance of the word "bulgogi" mentioned in a cook book was in Practice in Higher Cuisine, which was written by Shin- young Bang in 1958. The book states that "bulgogi" is the second name or the vulgar designation of "neobiani".

        There is a critical need for research and developmentin the area of correlation between the climatic change and vector-born diseases in terms of global point of view. The statistics (1907~2000) for about a century showed the average temperature in Korea was increased to 1.5℃, twice higher than that of global average (0.74℃). The average precipitation for the past decade also showed 10% increase per year up to 1,485.7mm. The A1B scenario of NIMR reported the future estimate of average temperature at the end of this century (21 C) would be increased to 4.0℃ compared with that of years (1971~2000). There appeared close correlation between the breeding disease vector populations and climatic change, even though the occurrence pattern of diseases transmitted by insect vectors and/or reservoir animals in Korea had been rather included in category of the developed countries till 20th century. However, the disease outbreaks for the past 10 years showed significant increase in the vector-born diseases such as Tsutsugamushi disease, Leptospirosis and Epidemic Hemorrhagic fever. There appeared many different factors involved in causing foregoing disease increase, however, the warmer temperature change might have accelerated the more favorable breeding habitats for the disease vectors and medically important insects. The insect-born disease transmission inclusive of medically important insects and rodents involves wide range of different and/or compounded factors or situations such as human population and housing habitats, sanitary standards, vector control schedules, etc. in different areas and districts. Duane, et al.(2001) reported and well illustrated the correlations among climatic change and humans host, insect vectors, reservoir animals, disease agents. The importance of local outbreaks of insect vector population increase was mainly caused by temperature and precipitation (humidity) increase (Mellor and Leake, 2000) by the increase of fecundity and frequency of biting activities. Martens (2008) also indicated that climatic change affected the increases of survival rate, density, fecundity duration and the resistance to microbial pesticides more favorably against disease agents such as bacteria and fungi, etc. The influences or effects of climatic change against human pest control activities, susceptibility, immunity to insect vector-born diseases will be elaborated.

        When fully grown oocytes are removed from their follicles, they can resume meiosis and mature spontaneously under in vitro conditions. However, nuclear maturation under in vitro condition is not accompanied by complete cytoplasmic maturation, which is essential for successful fertilization and the initiation of zygotic development. This study analyzed change of proteins in follicular fluids during the porcine follicular development. Follicular fluids were collected from follicles of diameter 1~2 mm, 2~6 mm and 6~10 mm in ovary of slaughtered pigs. Total proteins were extracted from follicular fluids by M-PER Mammalian Protein Extraction Reagent. We confirmed totally 27 same spots, 1 spot from follicle fluid of 2~6 mm follicle and 5 spots from follicle fluid of 6~10 mm in diameter were analyzed by MALDI mass spectrometry and searched on NCBInr. In results, spot No. 28 from 2~6 mm follicle was Ig lambda chain C region, and spot No.32 and 33 from 6~10 mm was Apolipoprotein A-(APOA4). Spot No.29 and 31 were failed to analyze. These results indicate that the porcine oocyte during in vitro maturation depend on specific different expressed proteins may play an important roles in the sequence of molecular events in porcine oocyte maturation and follicular development.

        Osmolarity of culture media is one of the most important factors affecting in vitro development. This study was conducted to investigate the DNA methylation status of Pre-1 and satellite sequence in pig nuclear transfer (pNT) embryos produced under different osmolarity culture conditions. Control group of pNT embryos was cultured in PZM-3 for six days. Other two treatment groups of pNT embryos were cultured in modified PZM-3 with 138 mM NaCl or 0.05M sucrose (mPZM-3, 320 mOsmol) for two days, and then cultured in PZM-3 (270 mOsmol) for four days. Previous our studies have reported that pNT embryos cultured in both hypertonic media showed significantly higher blastocyst formation rate than that of control. The DNA methylation status of the satellite sequences in blastocyst was characterized using bisulfite-sequencing technology. The satellite region had a similar methylation pattern of in vivo blastocyst among two culture groups excepting the control group. Each level of methylation is that the satellite DNA moderately methylated (43.10% of PZM-3; 56.12% of NaCl; 55.06% of sucrose; 60.00% of in vivo embryos). As a result of the sequence of PRE-1, CpG methylation pattern was similar to three groups, including in vivo group. In case of the satellite DNA region, the osmolarity conditions were affected CpG DNA methylation status while PRE-1 sequence was not affected CpG DNA methylation in pNT blastocyst stage. These results indicate that the modification of osmolarity in a culture media may influence to spatially change of DNA methylation of repetitive sequence for pNT embryo development.

        팽이버섯의 자실체 특성이 재배사 환경인자중 습도변화에 따라 어떤 변화를 보이는지를 조사하기위해 농촌진흥청 버섯과에 보존된 8개 균주에 대해 형태적 특징, 경도, 색깔 등을 조사하였다. 형태적 특징에서 백색계통 버섯의 대길이는 습도 낮아지면서 증가하는 경향을 보이나 갈색계통은 균주에 따라 각기 다른 상관관계를 보이고 있어 습도가 절대적인 지배요인은 아닌 것으로 판단된다. 갓직경은 습도와 상관관계가 없으며, 대굵기 및 갓두께는 품종에 따라 약간의 차이를 보이고 있다. 품종에 있어서는 대길이가 가장 긴 품종은 ASI 4051, ASI 4031 이고, 짧은 품종은 ASI 4103 이며, 갓직경은 ASI 4103 가장 크고, 갓두께는 ASI 4103이 가장 두꺼우며, 가장 얇은 것은 ASI 4065이고, 대굵기는 ASI 4103이 가장 굵으며, ASI 4153이 가장 가늘었다 백색계통은 습도가 낮아지면 ASI 4021를 제외한 균주는 L값이 증가하는 경향이나 ASI 4021은 정도의 차이는 있으나 갓과 대가 명도(L)값은 감소된다. 그러나 채도(a, b) 값은 습도처리에 따른 차이가 작아 어떤 평가를 내리기가 곤란하였다. 갈색계통은 습이 낮아지면 명도 L 이 증가하는 경향이며, 채도(a, b) 값은 습도에 따른 차이가 크기 않아 명확한 결론을 내리기는 곤란하지만, 갓의 a 값은 습도 증가에 따라 증가하는 경향을 보이고, 갓의 b값은 a 값과는 다르게 감소하는 경향을 보이고 있다. 품종별 특성을 보면 대부분 대보다 갓 색이 밝은 색을 보인다. 습도 조건에 따른 경도의 차이는 어떤 일정한 상관관계를 보이지 않았으나, 갓보다 대의 경도가 높으며, 품종에 따라 각기 다른 정도를 나타낸다. 가장 높은 경도를 보이는 것은 ASI 4021 이며, 가장 약하게 나타난 것은 ASI 4166 품종이었다. 계통 간에는 갈색 보다 백색이 높을 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과 습도조건 보다는 품종 및 계통에 따른 차이가 확실히 보이고 있다.

        Physical movement is reduced because of convinient life style by advancing of science. People need physical movement and athletes also need more physical training for their health and better records because of reduced movement in modern life style. Some athletes competing in contact sports wear dental mouth guards to reduce the risk of orofacial trauma and to increase the strength of muscle. It has been speculated that the use of mouth guards improves athletic ability such as muscular strength and equilibrium. The purpose of this study was to test the influence of C.M(custom made) mouth guard according to strength of taekwondo athletes. 5 trained subjects participating in taekwondo students in D University were included in this study. Deltoid muscular activity were tested by means of electromyograph (E.M.G) with or without wearing mouth guard. Subjects have pressed with 5 Kg barbell. The data were transferred to computer system as raw and integral data. The data were analysed by computer system, showing wearing mouth guard had higher action potential than non-wearing mouth guard. This meant that wereing mouth guard could enhance the muscle force in deltoid. It suggested that taekwondo athletes could use C.M mouth guard without any negative effect on their muscle strength.

        연구지역의 지형은 해안과 인접한 소규모의 곡저평야에 속한다. 이 곡저평야는 낮은 구릉지 사이 개석된 곳에 충적물이 매적되어 형성되었다. 본 연구에서는 탄소안정동위원소비 분석과 토양유기탄소 분석을 이용하여 과거의 기후환경 복원을 시도하였다. I 시기(약 6,600±60 yr B.P.-5,350±60 yr B.P.)는 전반적으로 온난하고 습윤한 기후환경이었으나, 건습변화에 있어서는 약건조(또는 약습윤)→습윤의 미변화가 감지된다. II 시기(약 5,350±60 yr B.P.-2,200 yr B.P.)는 현재와 비슷한 온난습윤한 기후환경을 나타낸다. 4,720±60 yr B.P.와 4,210±50 yr B.P. 사이는 전체 퇴적층 중 가장 습윤했던 것으로 파악된다. 4,210±50 yr B.P. 이후에는 점차 습윤에서 약습윤(또는 약건조)환경으로 이행하는 과정이 나타난다. III 시기(약 2,200 yr B.P.-210±60 yr B.P.)는 앞선 두 시기와 확연히 구분되며, 약습윤(또는 약건조)의 기후환경을 나타낸다.

        High speed steels (HSS) were used as cutting tools and wear parts, because of high strength, wear resistance, and hardness together with an appreciable toughness and fatigue resistance. Conventional manufacturing process for production of components with HSS was used by casting. The powder metallurgy techniques were currently developed due to second phase segregation of conventional process. The powder injection molding method (PIM) was received attention owing to shape without additional processes. The experimental specimens were manufactured with T42 HSS powders (59 vol%) and polymer (41 vol%). The metal powders were prealloyed water-atomised T42 HSS. The green parts were solvent debinded in normal n-Hexane at for 24 hours and thermal debinded at mixed gas atmosphere for 14 hours. Specimens were sintered in , gas atmosphere and vacuum condition between 1200 and . In result, polymer degradation temperatures about optimum conditions were found at and . After sintering at gas atmosphere, maximum hardness of 310Hv was observed at . Fine and well dispersed carbide were observed at this condition. But relative density was under 90%. When sintering at gas atmosphere, relative density was observed to 94.5% at . However, the low hardness was obtained due to decarbonization by hydrogen. In case of sintering at the vacuum of torr at temperature of , full density and 550Hv hardness were obtained without precipitation of MC and in grain boundary.
